any tree of the
garden except that one.

But in the day they
eat of it, they will die.

Now death is not life.

Death and life are opposite.

Now it's interesting what
Lucifer comes back to her.

He comes back to
her and he says to her,

"You will not die.

But you will be, if you eat
this fruit," I'm paraphrasing,

God knows that if you eat
of it you'll become like Him.

You'll become
immortal like Him."

And Eve bought the lie.

contradiction of God Himself.

the opposite of life is death.

to the death of Lazarus.

This is a couple

what He was doing.

Martha, they made it clear,

our brother would not have died.

But Jesus knows what He's doing.

Sometimes we don't
understand the mysteries of God.

We can't explain them.

friends, we must trust God.

Jesus is about to do something
for Mary, Martha, and Lazarus

already knew he was dead.

that in just a moment.

I may wake Him up."

I'm going to wake him up."

talking about normal sleep.

the sleep of death.

But then Jesus makes
it clear what He meant

but they thought He was speaking

So Jesus speaks of
Lazarus as being asleep,

the disciples think
he's getting better,

Jesus frankly and plainly
tells them, "Lazarus is dead."

He says nothing about
Lazarus being in heaven,

or anywhere else.
