Moses had stretched out 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 that rod or was told to stretch out 00:00:02.73\00:00:04.07 that rod because the Lord had done something else. 00:00:04.10\00:00:06.20 He had lifted that cloud of darkness. 00:00:06.23\00:00:09.70 And Pharaoh now looks out 00:00:09.74\00:00:12.87 and sees Israel escaping through the Red Sea. 00:00:12.91\00:00:17.48 Now, you would think that would be enough to say, 00:00:17.51\00:00:19.91 I'm finished, I'm not going into that Red Sea. 00:00:19.95\00:00:21.95 But notice, stubbornness, sin makes people stubborn. 00:00:21.98\00:00:26.15 And his sins goes with his whole army 00:00:26.19\00:00:28.82 right into the Red Sea, 00:00:28.86\00:00:30.46 the chariots leading the way and it looks like, 00:00:30.49\00:00:33.96 in the morning light, 00:00:34.00\00:00:35.36 they're gaining, gaining, gaining, 00:00:35.40\00:00:38.43 and then the Bible says that, "God troubled the wheels." 00:00:38.47\00:00:43.04 He messed up the wheels, you mean, He tear the wheels. 00:00:43.07\00:00:46.17 I don't know if He started letting the place 00:00:46.21\00:00:47.68 get muddy, I don't know. 00:00:47.71\00:00:49.58 But the Egyptians all of a sudden said, 00:00:49.61\00:00:51.91 "The Lord is fighting." 00:00:51.95\00:00:53.65 There's that word, fighting, fighting for Israel, 00:00:53.68\00:00:57.55 and they turn and they begin to go back. 00:00:57.59\00:01:01.52 They were rushing right toward the middle of the Red Sea, 00:01:01.56\00:01:05.16 and that's when Moses stretches out that rod 00:01:05.19\00:01:09.16 and that sea swallows them. 00:01:09.20\00:01:12.17 The Bible says, "There's not one left." 00:01:12.20\00:01:14.44 Archeologists have by the way gone down 00:01:14.47\00:01:16.14 and found remnants of chariot wheels, 00:01:16.17\00:01:19.71 and other things in that area. 00:01:19.74\00:01:22.41 But I wanna come back to this point of the scripture, 00:01:22.44\00:01:25.51 because when this is all done, 00:01:25.55\00:01:27.32 Israel is standing there 00:01:27.35\00:01:28.68 on the other side of the Red Sea. 00:01:28.72\00:01:31.92 Their mouths must have been open. 00:01:31.95\00:01:34.32 They must have been hugging each other 00:01:34.36\00:01:36.52 because those Egyptians would have destroyed them 00:01:36.56\00:01:40.56 and the sea swallows them and their enemies. 00:01:40.60\00:01:46.40 The stubborn Pharaoh and his army is gone. 00:01:46.43\00:01:52.37 The Lord is a mighty warrior. 00:01:52.41\00:01:55.81 And Moses put together a song 00:01:55.84\00:01:57.35 and they began to sing that song. 00:01:57.38\00:02:00.25 And here's how that song went. 00:02:00.28\00:02:02.42 We don't have time to get into all of it. 00:02:02.45\00:02:04.55 It's found in Exodus 15:1-3, "I will sing to the Lord, 00:02:04.59\00:02:09.32 for He has triumphed gloriously! 00:02:09.36\00:02:13.03 The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!" 00:02:13.06\00:02:18.53 And then he says, 00:02:18.57\00:02:19.90 "The Lord is my strength and my song." 00:02:19.93\00:02:23.00 We're gonna sing that in the New Jerusalem. 00:02:23.04\00:02:25.84 We're gonna sing that on the sea of glass. 00:02:25.87\00:02:29.34 We're gonna sing that song with Moses and the Israelites, 00:02:29.38\00:02:32.58 but we're gonna be singing it over something else. 00:02:32.61\00:02:35.85 We're gonna be singing it over Babylon. 00:02:35.88\00:02:37.99 "And He has become my salvation, 00:02:41.02\00:02:43.19 He is my God, I will praise Him, 00:02:43.22\00:02:45.53 my father's God, and I will exalt Him. 00:02:45.56\00:02:47.96 The Lord is a man of war, 00:02:48.00\00:02:51.63 the Lord is His name." 00:02:51.67\00:02:54.27 And it says in Chapter 15, continuing that song, 00:02:54.30\00:02:57.87 "Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?" 00:02:57.91\00:03:02.21 And then the end of the song gives us the result. 00:03:02.24\00:03:04.55 It's a wonderful result, and it says here that, 00:03:04.58\00:03:07.52 "You will bring them..." 00:03:07.55\00:03:08.88 verse 17 of Chapter 15 of Exodus, 00:03:08.92\00:03:10.99 "You will bring them in and plant them in the mountain 00:03:11.02\00:03:15.09 of Your inheritance, in the place, O Lord, 00:03:15.12\00:03:17.73 which You have made for Your own dwelling, 00:03:17.76\00:03:20.00 The sanctuary, O Lord, 00:03:20.03\00:03:21.46 which Your hands have established." 00:03:21.50\00:03:23.33 Yes. 00:03:23.37\00:03:25.27 We're going to go through a lot of trouble. 00:03:25.30\00:03:27.34 But Jesus said something similar. 00:03:27.37\00:03:29.57 He said "Don't let your heart be troubled, 00:03:29.60\00:03:32.17 let not your heart be troubled. 00:03:32.21\00:03:33.74 You believe in God, believe also in Me. 00:03:33.78\00:03:35.74 In My father's house are many mansions 00:03:35.78\00:03:39.38 which I have gone to prepare for you." 00:03:39.41\00:03:41.15 Jesus is preparing a place for us. 00:03:41.18\00:03:44.55 Just like God promised Israel, that He had a place for them 00:03:44.59\00:03:48.92 in that Promised Land that they were being taken to. 00:03:48.96\00:03:54.30 So we go back to the song of Revelation. 00:03:54.33\00:03:56.77 Let's go back to that song of Revelation, 00:03:56.80\00:03:59.27 song of the Lamb in 15:3. 00:03:59.30\00:04:02.60 Now we don't have all... 00:04:02.64\00:04:03.97 I don't think, we don't have all the song 00:04:04.01\00:04:06.01 of the Lamb yet because we haven't been 00:04:06.04\00:04:08.04 through the experience. 00:04:08.08\00:04:10.15 So only once we go through the experience 00:04:10.18\00:04:12.95 of the terrors of Babylon in the final time of trouble 00:04:12.98\00:04:16.69 and the issues of the mark of the beast, 00:04:16.72\00:04:20.09 then we're gonna be able to sing the song of the Lamb. 00:04:20.12\00:04:24.99 'Cause I want to tell you that in the end of time 00:04:25.03\00:04:27.53 Jesus is going to take charge. 00:04:27.56\00:04:29.86 He's in charge of His church. 00:04:29.90\00:04:31.30 I don't mean that in the wrong sense. 00:04:31.33\00:04:32.67 He's in charge of His church now. 00:04:32.70\00:04:34.20 But in a unique sense, I believe that Jesus, 00:04:34.24\00:04:37.54 just like He took charge 00:04:37.57\00:04:38.91 of ancient Israel on that cloud. 00:04:38.94\00:04:40.78 That Jesus is somehow in a unique way, 00:04:40.81\00:04:43.48 I don't know how, I can't explain it. 00:04:43.51\00:04:45.98 But He's going to take charge of His church. 00:04:46.01\00:04:48.38 He's gonna guide His church 00:04:48.42\00:04:49.75 through this terrible time of trouble. 00:04:49.78\00:04:51.69 God's people from every nation, 00:04:51.72\00:04:53.15 kindred, tongue and people scattered all over the world, 00:04:53.19\00:04:56.73 suffering terrible time of trouble, 00:04:56.76\00:04:58.89 terrible persecution, 00:04:58.93\00:05:00.60 not knowing what's going to happen. 00:05:00.63\00:05:02.83 Thinking that perhaps they are all just going to die, 00:05:02.86\00:05:05.37 they're all going to give their life, 00:05:05.40\00:05:06.74 but pleading with God, pleading with Him, 00:05:06.77\00:05:08.70 Jesus come soon. 00:05:08.74\00:05:10.81 Jesus is going to lead His church 00:05:10.84\00:05:13.51 through that terrible time in the future. 00:05:13.54\00:05:16.41 And that's why this is going to be 00:05:16.44\00:05:17.78 the song of the Lamb 00:05:17.81\00:05:19.98 that's going to join the song of Moses, 00:05:20.02\00:05:23.55 that song of the Lamb. 00:05:23.59\00:05:24.92 In fact, someone noted the parallels 00:05:24.95\00:05:27.79 between the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. 00:05:27.82\00:05:30.66 I want to give those to you very quickly. 00:05:30.69\00:05:32.69 The song of Moses was sung beside the Red Sea, 00:05:32.73\00:05:35.83 but the song of Lamb will be sung 00:05:35.86\00:05:38.43 by the crystal sea. 00:05:38.47\00:05:40.50 And the song of Moses was sung over Egypt. 00:05:40.54\00:05:43.81 But the song of the Lamb will be sung over Babylon. 00:05:43.84\00:05:47.71 The song of Moses described how God bought 00:05:47.74\00:05:50.15 His people out and the song of the Lamb 00:05:50.18\00:05:52.55 would describe how God brought His people in. 00:05:52.58\00:05:57.42 The song of Moses was Scripture's first song, 00:05:57.45\00:06:00.66 and the song of the Lamb is Scripture's last song. 00:06:00.69\00:06:04.86 And that comes from 00:06:04.89\00:06:06.23 Willmington's Guide to the Bible. 00:06:06.26\00:06:08.13 So I wanna come back to these seven trumpets 00:06:08.16\00:06:09.93 for just a moment. 00:06:09.96\00:06:11.30 Now obviously, I could spend three hours 00:06:11.33\00:06:13.13 on the seven trumpets. 00:06:13.17\00:06:14.97 But we're just... 00:06:15.00\00:06:16.34 I'm just gonna give you quick overview. 00:06:16.37\00:06:18.54 Those trumpets, we have the seven churches, 00:06:18.57\00:06:21.31 the seven seals and the seven trumpets. 00:06:21.34\00:06:23.75 They all repeat and enlarge, and they cover that time period 00:06:23.78\00:06:28.32 between the time of John and the coming of Jesus. 00:06:28.35\00:06:31.45 So we are in... 00:06:31.49\00:06:33.02 I believe right now, we're in the seventh trumpet, 00:06:33.05\00:06:36.06 we're in the end of time. 00:06:36.09\00:06:37.99 But I wanna explain to you how this works, 00:06:38.03\00:06:40.93 and this is how this works. 00:06:40.96\00:06:44.33 The trumpets are trumpets of judgment. 00:06:44.37\00:06:48.37 God's judgments don't wait till the end of time. 00:06:48.40\00:06:50.64 The seven last plagues are part of that judgment. 00:06:50.67\00:06:52.74 I'll talk a little bit more about that tomorrow, 00:06:52.77\00:06:54.78 or the next time we have a session I should say. 00:06:54.81\00:06:57.51 So anyway, let me go back to these seven trumpets. 00:06:57.55\00:07:01.38 The first four are God's judgments 00:07:01.42\00:07:05.62 on ancient pagan Rome. 00:07:05.65\00:07:08.56 Rome in the New Testament, in the Book of Revelation, 00:07:08.59\00:07:11.93 Rome is the enemy, Rome and Babylon 00:07:11.96\00:07:14.93 is the enemy of God's people. 00:07:14.96\00:07:18.57 Just like Egypt was the enemy of God's people 00:07:18.60\00:07:21.14 in the Old Testament. 00:07:21.17\00:07:23.87 So the first four bring in the barbarians, 00:07:23.91\00:07:28.41 remember it's pagan Rome that was trying to destroy 00:07:28.44\00:07:30.55 the Christian church, throwing them to the lions, 00:07:30.58\00:07:33.05 and so the barbarians come in and those first four trumpets 00:07:33.08\00:07:36.65 and they destroy the Roman Empire. 00:07:36.69\00:07:38.55 The last three trumpets are God's judgments against, 00:07:42.02\00:07:46.43 I'll say it kindly, papal Rome. 00:07:46.46\00:07:51.30 And each judge about something like itself. 00:07:51.33\00:07:54.67 The last trumpet, of course, 00:07:54.70\00:07:56.04 is the God's judgment on Babylon, 00:07:56.07\00:07:58.74 but the fifth and sixth 00:07:58.77\00:08:00.38 are God's judgments on papal Rome. 00:08:00.41\00:08:03.71 God... 00:08:03.75\00:08:05.08 And I say this kindly again, often God let something come up 00:08:05.11\00:08:10.75 like itself to judge, it's way it works. 00:08:10.79\00:08:14.59 But we have now the rise of the Muslims, 00:08:14.62\00:08:16.96 and I don't have time to get 00:08:16.99\00:08:18.33 into that marvelous time prophecy. 00:08:18.36\00:08:19.69 But it was right on schedule, and it's a fascinating story. 00:08:19.73\00:08:24.27 But the rise of the Muslims put a check on the spread 00:08:24.30\00:08:28.74 and the power of the papacy, and the prophecy pictured them, 00:08:28.77\00:08:34.54 and I don't have time to get into this detail. 00:08:34.58\00:08:36.64 But basically the Muslims overcame the Byzantine Empire, 00:08:36.68\00:08:42.65 and then it became a great threat 00:08:42.68\00:08:46.12 to Western Europe 00:08:46.15\00:08:47.49 and it checked the papacy. 00:08:47.52\00:08:48.89 And the emperor of the Byzantine Empire 00:08:52.46\00:08:54.83 wouldn't take the throne unless he got the permission 00:08:54.86\00:08:57.23 of the Muslim sultan. 00:08:57.27\00:08:59.60 But that would change at the end of the prophecy, 00:08:59.63\00:09:02.27 it just turns around. 00:09:02.30\00:09:04.01 And I don't have time to tell you the story, 00:09:04.04\00:09:05.47 it's a fantastic, fascinating story. 00:09:05.51\00:09:09.18 But the Muslim empire comes under the control 00:09:09.21\00:09:13.52 of the Christian powers of Europe. 00:09:13.55\00:09:18.45 What was happing here was the rise 00:09:18.49\00:09:20.22 of the Protestant Reformation. 00:09:20.26\00:09:22.42 As the Protestant Reformation, and the reason Charles V 00:09:22.46\00:09:25.63 couldn't stop the Protestant Reformation... 00:09:25.66\00:09:27.00 One of the reasons I should say, 00:09:27.03\00:09:28.36 couldn't stop the Protestant Reformation 00:09:28.40\00:09:30.23 was the rise of the Muslims. 00:09:30.27\00:09:33.20 He had to go fight the Muslims. 00:09:33.23\00:09:34.80 I'm saying this in quick generalities here. 00:09:34.84\00:09:37.17 He had to go fight the Muslims 00:09:37.21\00:09:38.54 and while He is dealing with the Muslims, 00:09:38.57\00:09:40.48 the Protestant Reformation grows till it's unstoppable. 00:09:40.51\00:09:44.05 But now as the western world and you have the growth 00:09:47.35\00:09:50.45 of the Protestant America 00:09:50.49\00:09:52.69 becomes a great Protestant power. 00:09:52.72\00:09:55.19 But now as America is turning back 00:09:55.22\00:09:57.49 to embrace the popes of the Dark Ages. 00:09:57.53\00:10:02.10 We're beginning to see the power 00:10:02.13\00:10:04.23 of the Muslims rise again. 00:10:04.27\00:10:08.07 Very fascinating. 00:10:08.10\00:10:09.67 Let me share something with you 00:10:09.70\00:10:12.34 that I got from the public broadcast. 00:10:12.37\00:10:15.84 They gave three different phases. 00:10:15.88\00:10:18.71 This is not my invention by the way, 00:10:18.75\00:10:20.68 three different phases of the rise of the Muslims. 00:10:20.72\00:10:24.69 But I looked at the visits of the popes 00:10:24.72\00:10:28.16 to the United States, 00:10:28.19\00:10:30.13 and there's a very interesting parallel to that. 00:10:30.16\00:10:34.46 So phase one, according to the public broadcast, 00:10:34.50\00:10:38.50 was from 1968 to 1979, 00:10:38.53\00:10:41.40 and that was the dawn of modern Muslim terrorism. 00:10:41.44\00:10:46.11 Interesting enough Vatican II stopped in 1965, 00:10:46.14\00:10:50.75 and the first papal visit to the United States 00:10:50.78\00:10:53.11 was in October of 1965. 00:10:53.15\00:10:56.92 And then this dawn of Muslim terrorism 00:10:56.95\00:11:00.99 starts in 1968 to 1979. 00:11:01.02\00:11:06.03 And then phase two, 00:11:06.06\00:11:07.76 we have that very popular superstar pope, 00:11:07.80\00:11:10.70 Pope John Paul II, 00:11:10.73\00:11:13.23 he visits the United States in 1979 for the first time, 00:11:13.27\00:11:16.87 would visit seven times I think. 00:11:16.91\00:11:19.17 In phase two, they said, 00:11:19.21\00:11:21.28 now they didn't put these two together, 00:11:21.31\00:11:22.64 I'm putting the two together. 00:11:22.68\00:11:24.01 But they are the one that came up 00:11:24.05\00:11:25.38 with these different phases, 00:11:25.41\00:11:26.75 and I had nothing to do with the visits of a pope 00:11:26.78\00:11:28.92 to the United States. 00:11:28.95\00:11:31.09 So in phase two started also in 1979, 00:11:31.12\00:11:35.26 starting with a visit 00:11:35.29\00:11:36.62 of Pope John Paul II to 1991. 00:11:36.66\00:11:41.66 And then in 1991, and I could go 00:11:41.70\00:11:44.67 over some of the terrorist things, 00:11:44.70\00:11:46.43 I don't have time for that. 00:11:46.47\00:11:47.80 Phase three, 1991 to 2001, the rise of global terror. 00:11:47.84\00:11:53.51 And, of course, it was in 1993 that John Paul II 00:11:53.54\00:11:57.58 held that great Youth Day in Denver, Colorado. 00:11:57.61\00:12:02.08 And then you have 1994 00:12:02.12\00:12:04.19 with evangelicals and Catholics together, 00:12:04.22\00:12:06.86 and then of course 00:12:06.89\00:12:08.22 we know all about the World Trade Center. 00:12:08.26\00:12:10.13 I remember that day and I said, "This will be a watershed. 00:12:10.16\00:12:13.43 It's going to change the world." 00:12:13.46\00:12:16.46 And it has changed the world. 00:12:16.50\00:12:18.33 You can't fly in an airplane without knowing that 00:12:18.37\00:12:20.94 this thing has changed the world. 00:12:20.97\00:12:24.61 And so here we are in the end of time. 00:12:24.64\00:12:27.21 And I want to tell you that God is going to unmask 00:12:27.24\00:12:30.15 the sins of Babylon. 00:12:30.18\00:12:31.65 But people are going to be stubborn, 00:12:31.68\00:12:33.28 they're gonna continue go down the road, 00:12:33.31\00:12:35.72 just like that ancient Pharaoh 00:12:35.75\00:12:37.42 even when they see these things. 00:12:37.45\00:12:40.62 So I want to ask the question, 00:12:40.66\00:12:41.99 and we should each be asking ourself this question. 00:12:42.02\00:12:45.69 Are we going to stand on the sea of glass someday 00:12:45.73\00:12:49.06 and sing the songs of Moses and the Lamb? 00:12:49.10\00:12:51.77 Victory over evil, Gods church is going to be triumph. 00:12:51.80\00:12:55.77 Evil is a terrible thing, 00:12:55.80\00:12:58.21 and Jesus is going to put an end to it. 00:12:58.24\00:13:01.08 And we should rejoice over that. 00:13:01.11\00:13:02.78 That is something to be happy about. 00:13:02.81\00:13:04.88 And that's what we're going to be doing 00:13:04.91\00:13:06.25 on that sea of glass. 00:13:06.28\00:13:07.65 Were gonna be singing the song of Moses 00:13:07.68\00:13:09.68 and the Lamb because of the great victory 00:13:09.72\00:13:12.79 this marvelous Jesus, this incomparable Jesus 00:13:12.82\00:13:15.72 has won over Babylon, and the enemies of truth. 00:13:15.76\00:13:20.63 Here is the real question that you and I must ask. 00:13:20.66\00:13:23.97 Are we going to be there standing on that sea of glass 00:13:24.00\00:13:28.94 singing the song of Moses and the Lamb? 00:13:28.97\00:13:32.81
