00:04:04.64\00:04:07.84 You kind of took, you returned left 00:04:07.88\00:04:10.35 when you should have turned right. 00:04:10.38\00:04:11.71 Tell us about that? 00:04:11.75\00:04:13.08 Well, the, you know, I'm thankful, you know, 00:04:13.11\00:04:15.05 both my mom and my dad were believers 00:04:15.08\00:04:16.82 and they divorced when I was three 00:04:16.85\00:04:18.19 so I, kind of, have a step mom and a step dad 00:04:18.22\00:04:19.79 but everybody believed in God. 00:04:19.82\00:04:21.69 There is no doubt about that and... 00:04:21.72\00:04:24.69 But what happened is because I didn't have 00:04:24.73\00:04:26.53 a very hands-on personal direction in discipleship, 00:04:26.56\00:04:30.37 I ended up being 00:04:30.50\00:04:33.10 pretty much free to make my own choices 00:04:33.13\00:04:34.54 when it comes to spiritual things 00:04:34.57\00:04:36.27 and so even I went to some Sunday schools 00:04:36.30\00:04:38.07 when I was a kid, I don't remember 00:04:38.11\00:04:39.44 a whole lot about those, 00:04:39.47\00:04:40.81 I would know how to do some crafts 00:04:40.84\00:04:42.18 but that's about it. 00:04:42.21\00:04:43.55 I didn't learn about Jesus, I never connected with Him. 00:04:43.58\00:04:45.81 But when I found out about this idea of witchcraft 00:04:45.85\00:04:49.92 or the occult, 00:04:49.95\00:04:51.72 my brother gave me a book about that. 00:04:51.75\00:04:53.12 I started reading through it and I just, I was in trance, 00:04:53.15\00:04:56.59 I really wanted to have this kind of power 00:04:56.62\00:05:00.10 that the book talked about and of course, 00:05:00.13\00:05:03.16 I was playing role playing games 00:05:03.20\00:05:05.17 like dungeons and dragons, magic-the gathering 00:05:05.20\00:05:08.80 and reading books about dragons, 00:05:08.84\00:05:12.04 some fantasy lands, and, 00:05:12.07\00:05:13.78 you know, all these things and though in my mind 00:05:13.81\00:05:15.21 I knew all of it was fiction, all of the sudden I realized 00:05:15.24\00:05:18.95 my defenses were being let down. 00:05:18.98\00:05:22.42 And so whenever the real Satanic witch craft, 00:05:22.45\00:05:27.26 it is truly Satanic whether... 00:05:27.29\00:05:28.72 Yes. 00:05:28.76\00:05:30.09 You know, we learned that there is white magic 00:05:30.13\00:05:31.46 and black magic 00:05:31.49\00:05:32.83 and those involved in white magic say, 00:05:32.86\00:05:34.20 "Stay away from the black magic". 00:05:34.23\00:05:35.56 But you got the same puppet master 00:05:35.60\00:05:36.93 behind both of them, you know. 00:05:36.97\00:05:38.30 Yes. 00:05:38.33\00:05:39.67 So any way I got involved in that 00:05:39.70\00:05:41.07 which eventually led into maybe, 00:05:41.10\00:05:43.14 an opening to Satanism 00:05:43.17\00:05:44.51 and so that's where I became a part of the church of Satan 00:05:44.54\00:05:46.98 and, of course, now, so being violent, 00:05:47.01\00:05:49.64 with a drug problem, involved in crazy spiritualism, 00:05:49.68\00:05:54.15 I was just... 00:05:54.18\00:05:56.45 Miss a lot of control. All right. 00:05:56.48\00:05:58.42 So you have a few little run-ins 00:05:58.45\00:06:01.32 where you're caught with some dope of some sort 00:06:01.36\00:06:05.09 and then you actually 00:06:05.13\00:06:06.70 are put into a juvenile facility. 00:06:06.73\00:06:10.57 Something tragic happened there, 00:06:10.60\00:06:12.27 tell us about it. 00:06:12.30\00:06:13.64 Well, the juvenile facility, they got tired on my... 00:06:13.67\00:06:16.04 I got arrested so many times, positive for drugs, 00:06:16.07\00:06:19.74 possessions, burglaries because of drugs 00:06:19.77\00:06:22.34 and all of these things. 00:06:22.38\00:06:23.71 They finally said, "We're gonna do a drug rehab, 00:06:23.75\00:06:27.08 you need help, you need treatment." 00:06:27.12\00:06:29.15 Which is great, not that I wanted it but that, 00:06:29.18\00:06:31.59 you know, for a society that wants to take care 00:06:31.62\00:06:33.49 of people's drug problems, that's a great thing. 00:06:33.52\00:06:35.99 Problem was, 00:06:36.02\00:06:38.06 there wasn't a spiritual element to that. 00:06:38.09\00:06:40.80 They were trying to 00:06:40.83\00:06:42.60 show me the benefits of good choices 00:06:42.63\00:06:44.60 and the terrible consequences of bad choices 00:06:44.63\00:06:47.24 which has it's affect but 00:06:47.27\00:06:49.04 I just couldn't wait to get out of drug rehab 00:06:49.07\00:06:50.47 so I could do more drugs. 00:06:50.51\00:06:52.41 But while I was there, 00:06:52.44\00:06:53.78 that's when I got into a conflict 00:06:53.81\00:06:55.54 with one of the staff there at the facility 00:06:55.58\00:06:58.71 and I ended up attacking him really bad 00:06:58.75\00:07:01.22 and it's in the book, tells about that, 00:07:01.25\00:07:03.49 that turning point in my life where I assaulted him 00:07:03.52\00:07:06.89 and I got locked up 00:07:06.92\00:07:08.29 and he went to the hospital and it was pretty tragic. 00:07:08.32\00:07:11.16 Yes. 00:07:11.19\00:07:12.53 So you ended up then actually, they held you when you're 15? 00:07:12.56\00:07:16.30 I was 15-years-old. 00:07:16.33\00:07:17.67 And they held you over till you were 16, 00:07:17.70\00:07:19.03 so they could try you as an adult. 00:07:19.07\00:07:20.70 Correct. 00:07:20.74\00:07:22.07 Which, you know, 00:07:22.10\00:07:23.44 that's an interesting concept to me 00:07:23.47\00:07:24.81 that someone you could know 00:07:24.84\00:07:26.37 when they committed the crime 00:07:26.41\00:07:27.94 and where we can't really try him as adult 00:07:27.98\00:07:29.51 'cause he's a juvenile but yet, they can hold you over 00:07:29.54\00:07:32.91 and what was your sentence 00:07:32.95\00:07:35.18 when they tried you as an adult? 00:07:35.22\00:07:36.99 Well, to try us as an adult, 00:07:37.02\00:07:38.35 was just the process of them saying, 00:07:38.39\00:07:39.85 "Hey, he's competent to stand trial." 00:07:39.89\00:07:42.06 And now he's 16, he's competent. 00:07:42.09\00:07:43.63 So now they sent me off to County jail 00:07:43.66\00:07:46.29 where the other adults were, 00:07:46.33\00:07:48.03 and I'm actually going to be standing trial. 00:07:48.06\00:07:50.50 But you only stand trial if you're denying your crime 00:07:50.53\00:07:53.64 or some mitigating circumstances 00:07:53.67\00:07:55.97 and so you want to be before a jury. 00:07:56.00\00:07:58.91 But, you know, I was guilty 00:07:58.94\00:08:00.28 and I became a Christian during this time 00:08:00.31\00:08:01.84 and so I just, I told the judge... 00:08:01.88\00:08:03.81 And your attorney actually thought 00:08:03.85\00:08:05.35 he'd be able to get you off 00:08:05.38\00:08:06.88 and so here you are in County jail, 00:08:06.92\00:08:09.75 you get introduced to the lord. 00:08:09.78\00:08:11.49 Yeah, right, actually I got introduced to the Lord 00:08:11.52\00:08:13.59 in the juvenile detention center, 00:08:13.62\00:08:15.99 it was a whole flowing and process there, 00:08:16.02\00:08:18.49 I mean, I was a baby Christian, 00:08:18.53\00:08:20.23 I had no clue about anything, I mean, I didn't know... 00:08:20.26\00:08:23.57 That's when your mother told you 00:08:23.60\00:08:24.93 to pick up a Bible and read it? 00:08:24.97\00:08:26.30 She did, which I resented very much. 00:08:26.33\00:08:28.67 But the Spirit... 00:08:28.70\00:08:30.17 You believed, I mean, 00:08:30.21\00:08:31.54 your bible was the book the Satan or Bible... 00:08:31.57\00:08:33.48 Right, which I was extremely mad 00:08:33.51\00:08:34.94 of because when I got locked up, 00:08:34.98\00:08:36.31 they actually took my Satanic bible away from me, 00:08:36.34\00:08:38.08 they took it from me and I was so mad. 00:08:38.11\00:08:40.38 But I did, I wanted, 00:08:40.42\00:08:42.22 I was going to challenge the Bible 00:08:42.25\00:08:43.69 and I was, this is I was 15 locked up 00:08:43.72\00:08:45.42 in the juvenile detention center 00:08:45.45\00:08:47.79 and I wanted to challenge the Bible. 00:08:47.82\00:08:49.16 And that's when I picked up the Bible, in fact, 00:08:49.19\00:08:51.06 I took it when nobody was looking 00:08:51.09\00:08:52.43 'cause I, kind of, have this reputation 00:08:52.46\00:08:53.80 for being a Satanist. 00:08:53.83\00:08:55.16 And so I took it back to myself and with, you know, 00:08:55.20\00:08:57.63 23 hours a day, studied or read rather 00:08:57.67\00:09:00.57 and it was in that journey of going through the Bible 00:09:00.60\00:09:03.20 that I was converted. 00:09:03.24\00:09:04.57 But your mother gave you a gift that turned out to be 00:09:04.61\00:09:06.78 an invaluable tool, what was that? 00:09:06.81\00:09:08.64 Right. Oh, the Strongest Concordance. 00:09:08.68\00:09:10.78 Well, do you know the miracle story behind that? 00:09:10.81\00:09:12.15 First, the first miracle is that, 00:09:12.18\00:09:14.32 you know, she prayed for me and you can't undermine 00:09:14.35\00:09:17.75 the power of a mother's prayers. 00:09:17.79\00:09:19.12 And I have met so many people 00:09:19.15\00:09:20.49 who are praying for their boys in prison 00:09:20.52\00:09:22.26 and don't give up those prayers. 00:09:22.29\00:09:24.79 But I would say that 00:09:24.83\00:09:27.80 she just went out to the book store 00:09:27.83\00:09:29.80 and said, "I've got to get him something. 00:09:29.83\00:09:31.27 Now he's a Christian." 00:09:31.30\00:09:32.63 I told her I was a Christian and she bought me 00:09:32.67\00:09:34.04 a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance. 00:09:34.07\00:09:36.10 And she didn't really know what it was. 00:09:36.14\00:09:37.51 But, you know, it's a nice thick book 00:09:37.54\00:09:39.67 and looked good 00:09:39.71\00:09:41.04 so she brought it into the juvenile center, 00:09:41.08\00:09:42.41 they allowed me to have it 00:09:42.44\00:09:43.78 'cause you're allowed to have two books. 00:09:43.81\00:09:45.15 So I had a Bible and a Strongs Concordance 00:09:45.18\00:09:46.72 and I studied. 00:09:46.75\00:09:48.38 So you then actually, 00:09:48.42\00:09:50.75 you're studying to prove the Bible wrong 00:09:50.79\00:09:52.55 because one thing that Wyatt shared with me 00:09:52.59\00:09:56.69 sometime back was that the Satanic Bible basically, 00:09:56.73\00:10:03.10 it says everything the opposite 00:10:03.13\00:10:04.63 of what the Christian Bible says, 00:10:04.67\00:10:07.54 but the Satanic Bible says, 00:10:07.57\00:10:08.90 "Just don't turn your other cheek, get even." 00:10:08.94\00:10:11.84 But it also claims 00:10:11.87\00:10:14.88 that there are lots of contradictions 00:10:14.91\00:10:18.71 if you will, in the Bible. 00:10:18.75\00:10:20.32 So you actually started studying 00:10:20.35\00:10:22.58 with the intent, "Hey. 00:10:22.62\00:10:24.69 I'm gonna prove this Bible wrong." 00:10:24.72\00:10:26.86 I can't tell you how many times, 00:10:26.89\00:10:28.46 when I was practicing Satanism as much as I could 00:10:28.49\00:10:32.59 when I was free, I told Christians, 00:10:32.63\00:10:34.63 you know, "Oh, you Christians, 00:10:34.66\00:10:36.00 first of all, you're all hypocrites." 00:10:36.03\00:10:37.37 And, you know, I said, 00:10:37.40\00:10:38.73 "You're following a crazy religion, 00:10:38.77\00:10:40.24 your Bibles are fantasy 00:10:40.27\00:10:41.60 and it's full of contradictions and errs." 00:10:41.64\00:10:43.00 I knew that because the Satanic Bible said so 00:10:43.04\00:10:45.54 and so, you know, nobody ever challenged on it. 00:10:45.57\00:10:48.14 I just said, "Your Bible can't be trusted." 00:10:48.18\00:10:50.41 And now I'm gonna find them, 00:10:50.45\00:10:52.61 I mean, they're obviously there. 00:10:52.65\00:10:53.98 Everybody says they're there. 00:10:54.02\00:10:55.48 So why would it be hard 00:10:55.52\00:10:56.85 to find those contradictions and errs. 00:10:56.89\00:10:58.22 And you did it. 00:10:58.25\00:10:59.59 I couldn't find them. All right. 00:10:59.62\00:11:01.16 So you're a baby Christian then before you go to... 00:11:01.19\00:11:05.13 I forgot that part of the story 00:11:05.16\00:11:06.49 but before you didn't go to County jail, 00:11:06.53\00:11:08.23 you spent a year in a County jail growing 00:11:08.26\00:11:11.37 and then what was your sentence? 00:11:11.40\00:11:13.20 I got a 20 year prison sentence. 00:11:13.23\00:11:14.80 So you at the age of 16, are sentenced to 20 years. 00:11:14.84\00:11:19.61 Yeah. 00:11:19.64\00:11:20.98 How that must but, you know, the amazing thing to me 00:11:21.01\00:11:24.31 was your attorney thought there was some hope 00:11:24.35\00:11:26.92 he could get you off 00:11:26.95\00:11:28.28 and you went before the judge and said, 00:11:28.32\00:11:30.42 "Hey, I'm guilty." 00:11:30.45\00:11:31.79 Well, when I was a kid, like a 11-years-old, 00:11:31.82\00:11:33.52 I think I was diagnosed of having ADHD 00:11:33.56\00:11:35.92 and then I've got locked up in psychiatric hospitals 00:11:35.96\00:11:38.19 for trying to run away and threatening my dad 00:11:38.23\00:11:39.89 and all these things 00:11:39.93\00:11:41.26 and they started labeling me 00:11:41.30\00:11:42.63 with all these medical disorders, 00:11:42.66\00:11:44.00 mental disorders and they were putting me 00:11:44.03\00:11:45.37 on all kinds of medications, I mean, tons of medications. 00:11:45.40\00:11:48.34 Well, when I was in the drug rehab program, 00:11:48.37\00:11:51.34 I was on some of those drug medications 00:11:51.37\00:11:53.44 and because they didn't had the dosage right 00:11:53.48\00:11:57.05 and give me too much or too little, 00:11:57.08\00:12:00.75 my attorney thought he can really... 00:12:00.78\00:12:02.22 Those were mitigating circumstances. 00:12:02.25\00:12:03.99 And also my age at the time and so... 00:12:04.02\00:12:07.09 But the judge, she said, you know what? 00:12:07.12\00:12:08.56 You did a indoor crime, you're gonna do it all time. 00:12:08.59\00:12:10.93 But you actually went before the judge 00:12:10.96\00:12:12.29 and said, "Hey, I'm guilty." 00:12:12.33\00:12:13.70 I did. Didn't you? 00:12:13.73\00:12:15.30 And, you know, and I was hoping for mercy. 00:12:15.33\00:12:17.17 I mean, I was facing two life sentences. 00:12:17.20\00:12:18.80 I had a assault charge and an armed criminal action, 00:12:18.83\00:12:22.00 it's almost like a assault with a deadly weapon. 00:12:22.04\00:12:24.01 It's two actual crimes 00:12:24.04\00:12:25.81 and I was facing the life sentences 00:12:25.84\00:12:27.51 for both of those. 00:12:27.54\00:12:28.88 Now I didn't think I would get the life sentences 00:12:28.91\00:12:30.68 but still I could get up to 30 years for both 00:12:30.71\00:12:32.38 and I did not want that. 00:12:32.41\00:12:33.75 But you know what? 00:12:33.78\00:12:35.12 If I thought in my mind, if I'm guilty, 00:12:35.15\00:12:37.42 I say, I'm guilty, you know, show how apologetic I am. 00:12:37.45\00:12:40.29 I mean, you can't really say, "Hold out on me." 00:12:40.32\00:12:41.82 You destroyed a man's life. 00:12:41.86\00:12:45.36 I mean, I just was hoping for mercy. 00:12:45.39\00:12:47.03 Yeah, so actually though I do believe 00:12:47.06\00:12:50.80 that in reading your story, it was all part of God's plan. 00:12:50.83\00:12:54.50 You've had to suffer the consequences 00:12:54.54\00:12:56.30 of your action, but God... 00:12:56.34\00:12:59.31 What Satan, maybe have meant for evil, 00:12:59.34\00:13:02.31 God turned it around for good. 00:13:02.34\00:13:03.68 Amen. 00:13:03.71\00:13:05.05 Because how many years did you actually serve? 00:13:05.08\00:13:07.48 I ended up serving only 14 out of the 20. 00:13:07.52\00:13:09.75 And during those 14 years, 00:13:09.78\00:13:12.92 I'm just amazed how industrious you were. 00:13:12.95\00:13:18.89 You were obviously led by the Holy Spirit 00:13:18.93\00:13:21.46 because you spent your time there, 00:13:21.50\00:13:24.93 it was almost you came out with equivalent 00:13:24.97\00:13:27.87 of a seminary study, a degree, in religion, 00:13:27.90\00:13:31.54 you knew the Bible back and forth 00:13:31.57\00:13:33.34 but you also studied other languages. 00:13:33.38\00:13:36.71 You learned accounting, you learned all kinds of things 00:13:36.75\00:13:40.45 and you studied very practical things to know 00:13:40.48\00:13:44.69 what to do when you got out of prison. 00:13:44.72\00:13:48.06 It's very difficult 00:13:48.09\00:13:49.89 if someone goes to prison at an early age, 00:13:49.92\00:13:53.46 when they're teenagers, you know, 00:13:53.50\00:13:55.30 their brain is still forming. 00:13:55.33\00:13:58.47 They say particularly, in men, 00:13:58.50\00:14:00.77 that your frontal lobe's not even fully developed 00:14:00.80\00:14:03.34 till you're 21. 00:14:03.37\00:14:04.77 But if you've been locked up for all that time, 00:14:04.81\00:14:08.94 how do you balance a check book? 00:14:08.98\00:14:10.35 How do you learn to do these things? 00:14:10.38\00:14:12.55 But Wyatt did and I wanna speak to some of you who are watching 00:14:12.58\00:14:16.58 from the prison systems right now. 00:14:16.62\00:14:18.55 Please take some motherly advice. 00:14:18.59\00:14:20.89 Spend your time, invest your time wisely. 00:14:20.92\00:14:24.96 Time is a gift from God, 00:14:24.99\00:14:27.63 time is life and how you invest your time 00:14:27.66\00:14:30.07 is how you invest your life. 00:14:30.10\00:14:32.00 Wyatt did, was you invested your time learning 00:14:32.03\00:14:37.07 and all kinds of things so that when you came out, 00:14:37.11\00:14:41.18 you were actually ready to meet the world. 00:14:41.21\00:14:45.41 You know, for many years I thought, 00:14:45.45\00:14:46.78 you know, Jesus is gonna come back before I get out, 00:14:46.82\00:14:48.82 you know, but even if He was to come back 00:14:48.85\00:14:51.79 before I get out, I still need to make 00:14:51.82\00:14:53.15 the best use of my time. 00:14:53.19\00:14:54.52 Now I'm not the perfect example, 00:14:54.56\00:14:55.89 there's many, many hours and days 00:14:55.92\00:14:58.23 and months and years 00:14:58.26\00:14:59.59 that I did not spend that time as good as I should have. 00:14:59.63\00:15:03.90 As most Christians, it's a maturity process 00:15:03.93\00:15:06.40 and I have my rough spots 00:15:06.43\00:15:07.77 and there's our growing period and there were set backs. 00:15:07.80\00:15:10.64 But I did, I kept my eyes on the prize 00:15:10.67\00:15:12.54 and I kept moving forward and I am so thankful 00:15:12.57\00:15:15.61 looking back that I took advantage 00:15:15.64\00:15:17.48 of the opportunities that I did, 00:15:17.51\00:15:18.85 and they were given to me, lot of them, 00:15:18.88\00:15:20.22 I happened to be in certain penitentiaries 00:15:20.25\00:15:23.52 that had industries and opportunities for education 00:15:23.55\00:15:27.89 and so my first goal was to get my GED. 00:15:27.92\00:15:30.63 I was in ninth grade when I got incarcerated, 00:15:30.66\00:15:32.36 so I didn't, that's all the education I had. 00:15:32.39\00:15:34.56 But I wanted my GED because from there 00:15:34.60\00:15:37.37 not only could I make 850 a month 00:15:37.40\00:15:39.03 or set a 750 a month 00:15:39.07\00:15:40.94 which was, hey, that dollar increase was a lot. 00:15:40.97\00:15:43.54 But I could also then be qualified for these other, 00:15:43.57\00:15:47.61 you know, industry programs and educational programs. 00:15:47.64\00:15:51.05 So I started computer courses and I worked in the chapel 00:15:51.08\00:15:54.98 as a clerk, so I learned clerking skills. 00:15:55.02\00:15:57.62 Working in a prison chapel by the way, 00:15:57.65\00:15:59.75 I had all these reference books 00:15:59.79\00:16:01.69 that I can refer to, all that, it was incredible. 00:16:01.72\00:16:04.03 Yes, and you were very active. 00:16:04.06\00:16:06.59 Now two things that impressed me that 00:16:06.63\00:16:09.16 you were, kind of, like one of God's missionaries, 00:16:09.20\00:16:12.10 it was like you're on a mission trip 00:16:12.13\00:16:13.47 because you were 00:16:13.50\00:16:15.07 truly reflecting the Lord in prison 00:16:15.10\00:16:17.31 and people got to know that 00:16:17.34\00:16:18.67 and you were able to minister to people. 00:16:18.71\00:16:20.21 The other thing that amazed me 00:16:20.24\00:16:21.58 is you never really had any attacks 00:16:21.61\00:16:24.68 while you were in prison. 00:16:24.71\00:16:26.05 No, there were two incidences that I tell about in the book 00:16:26.08\00:16:30.85 but in fact, one of them, I don't tell about that 00:16:30.89\00:16:32.65 but I'll share it with you. 00:16:32.69\00:16:34.02 I was in the prison, I was working in the kitchen, 00:16:34.06\00:16:37.99 I tried all the jobs there, 00:16:38.03\00:16:39.36 I was working in the prison kitchen 00:16:39.39\00:16:40.73 on the line serving food and there was a Muslim 00:16:40.76\00:16:43.43 and he was, we were talking back and forth 00:16:43.47\00:16:46.27 and they're, you know, 00:16:46.30\00:16:47.64 trying to impress other people and he said, 00:16:47.67\00:16:49.84 " So you think you're a Christian 00:16:49.87\00:16:51.21 and you follow the Bible." 00:16:51.24\00:16:52.57 I said, "Well, I do my best." 00:16:52.61\00:16:53.94 He said, "So when Jesus says, turn your other cheek, 00:16:53.98\00:16:55.44 do you turn your other cheek?" 00:16:55.48\00:16:56.81 I said, "By God's grace, I will." 00:16:56.85\00:16:58.71 He hauls off and he slaps me as hard as he can 00:16:58.75\00:17:02.15 across my face. 00:17:02.18\00:17:03.52 Now my face, of course, 00:17:03.55\00:17:05.35 you could imagine how red my face would have turned. 00:17:05.39\00:17:07.86 Thankfully, it's a little bit dark in there, 00:17:07.89\00:17:09.22 I'm avoiding the cooks and the other staff 00:17:09.26\00:17:11.83 from seeing me until we got on serving. 00:17:11.86\00:17:15.16 But I turned the other cheek for one, but for two, 00:17:15.20\00:17:18.00 it ended up not getting like a black eye 00:17:18.93\00:17:20.74 or anything and so... 00:17:20.77\00:17:22.10 I never got in trouble for, because if I get the black eye, 00:17:22.14\00:17:23.84 I get locked up. 00:17:23.87\00:17:25.21 And, of course, in prison you don't tell on anybody so, 00:17:25.24\00:17:27.78 you know, that's the end of that 00:17:27.81\00:17:29.58 but I would definitely get locked up myself, 00:17:29.61\00:17:31.38 I didn't want that. 00:17:31.41\00:17:32.75 But anyway, it turns out, 00:17:32.78\00:17:34.12 a few weeks later, he comes out to me 00:17:34.15\00:17:35.48 and he apologized to me personally 00:17:35.52\00:17:37.22 for doing that and it's, you know, for me, 00:17:37.25\00:17:41.92 it was like strengthening in my faith 00:17:41.96\00:17:44.23 because, you know, I didn't know if I could do it, 00:17:44.26\00:17:45.66 in my mind I said to myself... 00:17:45.69\00:17:47.03 Yeah. 00:17:47.06\00:17:48.40 I'm in prison for a while in crime. 00:17:48.43\00:17:49.76 I tell myself, "I'm never going to be wild 00:17:49.80\00:17:51.33 in my life again ever. 00:17:51.37\00:17:52.97 Never lay my hand on anybody, even to defend my own life." 00:17:53.00\00:17:55.94 And I didn't know if I could, 00:17:55.97\00:17:58.57 you know, you always say, "Oh, man, I cannot do this." 00:17:58.61\00:18:01.34 But I did it and I just praise God for that. 00:18:01.38\00:18:04.21 Well, you know, 00:18:04.25\00:18:05.58 it's interesting because the Bible says 00:18:05.61\00:18:07.28 in the principles found in II Corinthians 3:18 that 00:18:07.32\00:18:09.88 "We become what we behold." 00:18:09.92\00:18:11.29 Uh-huh. 00:18:11.32\00:18:12.65 And if certainly for you violence was something 00:18:12.69\00:18:16.93 that was modeled for you in your young life 00:18:16.96\00:18:21.23 but as you beheld Jesus Christ in this Word, 00:18:21.26\00:18:26.33 the Holy Spirit really led you 00:18:26.37\00:18:27.70 from one level of His glory to the next. 00:18:27.74\00:18:29.37 He never solved a problem through violence. 00:18:29.40\00:18:31.11 You look at His whole life, 00:18:31.14\00:18:32.47 you know, He told His disciples, 00:18:32.51\00:18:33.84 you know, He says, 00:18:33.88\00:18:35.21 "My kingdom is not of this world" 00:18:35.24\00:18:36.58 Yes. 00:18:36.61\00:18:37.95 And I... 00:18:37.98\00:18:39.31 And, you know, I just want to kinda fast forward 00:18:39.35\00:18:41.92 'cause I wanna make sure we get to this. 00:18:41.95\00:18:44.49 It is amazing how God's hand was on you through out this 00:18:44.55\00:18:50.09 but you came out and you became involved 00:18:50.13\00:18:53.13 with a very beautiful young woman 00:18:53.16\00:18:56.03 and this was over... 00:18:56.06\00:18:57.73 Was it Skype or Facebook? How did you all meet? 00:18:57.77\00:19:02.07 It was a Christian social network, 00:19:02.10\00:19:03.44 Adventist social network specifically. 00:19:03.47\00:19:04.81 Okay. 00:19:04.84\00:19:06.17 So you meet... 00:19:06.21\00:19:07.54 Through social media, now you haven't met in person. 00:19:10.31\00:19:12.95 Not yet. 00:19:12.98\00:19:14.32 But... 00:19:14.35\00:19:15.68 Yeah, Skype is the main thing. 00:19:15.72\00:19:17.05 We eventually started talking on the phone, 00:19:17.09\00:19:18.42 then seen each other through Skype, 00:19:18.45\00:19:19.79 it developed to that. 00:19:19.82\00:19:21.16 Okay. You did. 00:19:52.62\00:19:54.69 And definitely, you know what? 00:19:54.72\00:19:56.06 My whole life is a story of miracles and that 00:19:56.09\00:19:57.43 is one of the most wonderful miracle 00:19:58.13\00:20:00.43 because I believe God... 00:20:00.46\00:20:02.73 She was always asking herself, "Where's my husband? 00:20:02.76\00:20:04.80 Where's my husband?" 00:20:04.83\00:20:06.17 All these years, you know, 00:20:06.20\00:20:07.54 she's 29 when I meet her and where's my husband? 00:20:07.57\00:20:09.50 And she realizes God was preserving him 00:20:09.54\00:20:11.97 in prison and so I like to think 00:20:12.01\00:20:14.11 about it like that anyway. 00:20:14.14\00:20:15.48 And, yeah, I'm... 00:20:15.51\00:20:18.18 That's the miracle story that, 00:20:18.21\00:20:19.55 the book tells the whole romance... 00:20:19.58\00:20:20.95 And the fun of that but I tell you, 00:20:20.98\00:20:22.85 God put us together. 00:20:22.88\00:20:24.32 Some people I think God says, you know, 00:20:24.35\00:20:26.62 here's the pool of people you can pick from 00:20:26.65\00:20:29.02 and then sometimes, God, like with, you know, 00:20:29.06\00:20:31.56 Abraham's son and such, 00:20:31.59\00:20:33.50 they pick out Rebecca specifically. 00:20:33.53\00:20:35.46 Well, I think she's my Rebecca very, very clearly. 00:20:35.50\00:20:37.70 Very beautiful. 00:20:37.73\00:20:39.07 So now as amazing as 00:20:39.10\00:20:41.40 all of this is and how wonderful the Lord, 00:20:41.44\00:20:44.37 you know, He certainly, I think of Jeremiah, 00:20:44.41\00:20:46.81 it's actually, I'm open there, 00:20:46.84\00:20:48.18 Jeremiah 29:11, 12 when God says, 00:20:48.21\00:20:51.85 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you." 00:20:51.88\00:20:55.08 Says the Lord, "thoughts of peace 00:20:55.12\00:20:57.35 and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope, 00:20:57.39\00:21:01.39 then you will call upon me 00:21:01.42\00:21:03.86 and pray to me and I will listen to you," 00:21:03.89\00:21:07.33 and it goes on to say, "and you will find me 00:21:07.36\00:21:10.80 when you will seek me and find me, 00:21:10.83\00:21:13.84 when you search for me with all your heart". 00:21:13.87\00:21:16.34 Amen. Well, that's what happened. 00:21:16.37\00:21:17.77 Do you realize this context is Israel's in captivity? 00:21:17.81\00:21:20.11 Yes. 00:21:20.14\00:21:21.48 So, I mean, this is talking to prisoners. 00:21:21.51\00:21:22.84 Yes. That's hope. 00:21:22.88\00:21:24.75 Now God actually then opened the door for you to go 00:21:24.78\00:21:30.52 to the Amazing Facts College of Evangelism. 00:21:30.55\00:21:33.19 Many of you know Pastor Doug Batchelor 00:21:33.22\00:21:35.56 and they have an evangelistic college, 00:21:35.59\00:21:38.43 you go there and once again, God taps you on the shoulder 00:21:38.46\00:21:42.96 because Amazing Facts 00:21:43.00\00:21:44.33 actually then hires you as an evangelist for them. 00:21:44.37\00:21:48.20 Which is what you're doing today. 00:21:48.24\00:21:50.81 But I want to go back for a minute 00:21:50.84\00:21:53.21 because we have very little time left. 00:21:53.24\00:21:56.85 Explain to me what the title of your book, 00:21:56.88\00:22:00.98 "The Least of the Least," 00:22:01.02\00:22:05.22 where did you get the title of this book? 00:22:05.25\00:22:08.99 Well, I've always considered myself 00:22:09.02\00:22:12.13 to be the least, I mean, when you've been humbled 00:22:12.16\00:22:15.23 as much as you have to go to prison, 00:22:15.26\00:22:17.03 you're guilty, it's, you know, 00:22:17.07\00:22:18.57 shameful thing you can think of and I was guilty 00:22:18.60\00:22:21.14 but in the book of Mathew 25, 00:22:21.17\00:22:25.14 Jesus talks about the least and He talks about, 00:22:25.17\00:22:29.64 you know, "When you minister unto the least, 00:22:29.68\00:22:31.01 you ministered unto me." 00:22:31.05\00:22:32.38 But in this list of least's 00:22:32.41\00:22:33.82 and I'm not gonna read the whole passage here 00:22:33.85\00:22:35.18 but it talks about, from 40 on, it says, 00:22:35.22\00:22:39.72 "I was hungry" verse 42 "and you gave me no food." 00:22:39.75\00:22:42.66 That's talking about the wicked, I want to go to the righteous, 00:22:42.69\00:22:44.09 there's always a more positive side of it. 00:22:44.13\00:22:45.46 So back in verse 35. 00:22:45.49\00:22:46.83 "I was hungry and you gave me food, 00:22:46.86\00:22:48.23 I was thirsty and you gave me drink, 00:22:48.26\00:22:50.03 I was a stranger and you took me in, 00:22:50.07\00:22:52.40 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, 00:22:52.43\00:22:55.40 I was in prison and you came to me." 00:22:55.44\00:22:57.17 So in this list of least's by Jesus on definition... 00:22:57.21\00:22:59.27 By Jesus on definition, 00:22:59.31\00:23:00.64 He puts those in prison as the least 00:23:00.68\00:23:03.45 of the least and that's I think, 00:23:03.48\00:23:07.98 praise God for all the ministries 00:23:08.02\00:23:09.35 that ministered to all these other groups, 00:23:09.38\00:23:10.79 but I feel that those in prison 00:23:10.82\00:23:12.85 maybe are more disenfranchised than others. 00:23:12.89\00:23:15.59 They are less focused on than others 00:23:15.62\00:23:18.36 and there's a really huge ministry gap there, 00:23:18.39\00:23:21.13 to minister to those to "The Least of the Least," 00:23:21.16\00:23:24.03 whether in prison or in the process 00:23:24.07\00:23:25.67 of getting out of prison. 00:23:25.70\00:23:27.34 And because they are behind bars 00:23:27.37\00:23:29.34 because they're not in the public, 00:23:29.37\00:23:31.77 in our eye, it is easy to not to think of them... 00:23:32.97\00:23:36.51 Yup! 00:23:36.54\00:23:37.88 You know, I'm very excited 3ABN has a program called 00:23:37.91\00:23:41.25 "Free Indeed," but we also, 00:23:41.28\00:23:42.65 have a very strong prison ministry. 00:23:42.68\00:23:44.82 Which touched my life personally 00:23:44.85\00:23:46.19 when I was incarcerated in many ways. 00:23:46.22\00:23:47.56 Praise God. Praise God. 00:23:47.59\00:23:49.59 So it's something that, 00:23:49.62\00:23:51.43 so "The Least of the Least, " is... 00:23:51.46\00:23:53.16 Not just talking about me, it's talking about all of those 00:23:53.19\00:23:55.96 that have been locked up incarcerated and put away. 00:23:56.00\00:23:59.23 And I know someone is watching us today 00:23:59.27\00:24:01.94 from prison, I mean, 00:24:01.97\00:24:03.30 I can say that, that's not a prophetic statement 00:24:03.34\00:24:06.17 I can say it because 00:24:06.21\00:24:07.54 3ABN is on in so many prison systems 00:24:07.58\00:24:09.78 and we get so much... 00:24:09.81\00:24:12.78 so many reports of how people watch these programs. 00:24:12.81\00:24:15.95 Wyatt, take just a moment and looking in that camera 00:24:15.98\00:24:19.52 and if you could say something 00:24:19.55\00:24:22.32 'cause what I want to say to you 00:24:22.36\00:24:24.13 if you're watching is 00:24:24.16\00:24:27.20 if God has a plan for your life 00:24:27.23\00:24:30.87 for the "Least of the Least," it doesn't matter. 00:24:30.90\00:24:33.84 Look at what God has done in Wyatt's life, 00:24:33.87\00:24:37.14 a 20 years sentence of which he served 14. 00:24:37.17\00:24:40.38 And how God has put your feet 00:24:40.41\00:24:43.78 on a narrow path but on a highway, 00:24:43.81\00:24:46.45 a highway to heaven if you will... 00:24:46.48\00:24:47.82 Amen. 00:24:47.85\00:24:49.18 And He is using you 00:24:49.22\00:24:50.55 to touch so many other people's lives, 00:24:50.59\00:24:52.95 to reach down 00:24:52.99\00:24:55.26 and pull people out of the darkness 00:24:55.29\00:24:57.73 and into His light 00:24:57.76\00:24:59.53 as you share the gospel with so many people... 00:24:59.56\00:25:02.03 Amen. 00:25:02.06\00:25:03.40 You have a beautiful young daughter. 00:25:03.43\00:25:05.10 How old is Purity?
