Christ as our Passover lamb.

but a very important one

want to very clearly

is that we're not here

to try to say
that you should keep

or must keep the
feasts of the Old Testament.

If someone wanted
to keep the feasts,

keep it like the Bible

For three of them,

we'd have to go to Jerusalem.

but then when we got

Well, people can say, "Well,
Jesus is now our sacrifice."

not exactly keeping it

We are spiritualizing it

and we are applying
Jesus as those sacrifices.

fulfillment of what it's--

that's going on with futurists

who have the futurists
interpretations of Revelation.

And they believe
that the feasts days

have to be celebrated.

They believe that
the sacrificial system

will be reinstated
before Jesus returns.

The temple has to be rebuilt and
take out the tomb of the rock,

the mosque there and
build the temple there,

so that that can be done, right.

And when we run
into these people

and some of what they've
misconstrued in scripture,

we all kind of, oops. Right.

You know, we don't

that everyone is

A great study for those

You just take it in congruence,

look up the word Jerusalem,

applies to several things.

They apply to either Jesus.

Jesus is always the
temple or the sanctuary

always the New Jerusalem,

the heavenly
temple, Jesus as the temple

Those are the only ways.

Those words are
used, those three words.

some of the benefits?

how you have made your
church more like a synagogue

to meet the cultural
needs of the Jewish people

that you're trying
to win to Jesus Christ.

Some of the great
benefits that we miss out on,

if we just throw it
away and ignore them

and forget about that
whole section of the Bible

which is pretty big
section of the Bible.

There are a lot of benefits.

We can share one other

How we can know which one,

which laws in
the Jewish counting?

still apply till today?

The Sabbath obviously was

obviously see honoring God,

are obviously there

So the principles of God
having the ability to tell us

are there from the beginning.

Well, now, how about the feasts?

The feasts don't
come into existence

So what are some of the benefits
of the remembering the feast?

typical calendar year,

church calendar year.

And starts of with New
Year, so New Year's resolution

there might be a sermon on that,

there might be a newsletter,
article and that is not bad.

I'm not saying that this
is a bad calendar year or,

you know, that this is
wrong, it's just a typical.

It starts with
New Year's resolution

then comes what, Valentine's Day

and so there's a sermon on
love and then comes Mother's Day

and so we honor all the mothers

and even the poor
woman that, you know,

maybe never got
married and never had children.

And so Easter for Mother's Day.

And it maybe then Easter
and in case then we got Easter

and then whole gamut
of that whole history

And then passed that
then there's Independence Day.

Always wonder
about Independence Day.

You know, when I
became a believer in the Lord

that we became-- I
became dependent on God.

And now this independence,
I'm remember going to church

I had a big whole thing on it
on independence and until we--

We've replaced it with
these nationalistic holidays.

Which again in and of themselves
are not necessarily bad,

but they only apply to
the nation that you're at.

And we can make
spiritual analogies,

but they're really not
coming right out of the Bible.

And we can go on with
the whole year that way.

But if we look at what a
calendar year would look like,

you can still have all these
other things that they like them

all of them point to the cross.

Instead of the focus
going to independence

resolutions or honoring people,

it keeps us focused on Jesus.

And so the calendar year,

when you're coming to the spring
time there's the Passover.

And the Passover is certainly

is a whole lot
more than just Easter.

It's not Easter
at all, you know.

And it's a whole lot
more than even just communion.

There is just so
much to the Passover.

Always just so powerful

to have a communion
in light of the Passover.

It's just tons of stuff in there

that point us
again all towards Jesus.

Jesus, you know, at the
cross and His death for us.

And so we're
remembering that then we--

After that is the resurrection,
the feast of wave He's offering.

So we have the cross
and the resurrection,

the first fruits and then
you go 50 days after that,

you have Shavuot
which is Pentecost.

remembering of the Holy Spirit

then we need the Holy Spirit,

with the Holy Spirit,

then there's Rosh Hashanah

But first the feast of trumpets

reminding us again to go out

Jesus is coming again

of feasts represent,

the last days
represent, Jesus' second coming.

The spring one's
representing His first coming,

His death, His burial,

His resurrection and
then the early believers

are the early church
and then the fall feasts

all representing the
second coming of Jesus.

And so you have the loud
cry, the message going out.

Jesus is coming
again, Jesus is coming again.

followed by Yom Kippur,

The First Angel's
Message talks about

that fear God
and give glory to Him

for the hour of
His judgment has come.

And so it brings us

reminding us to not to forget

to preach the advent message,

the Three Angels
Message, the coming judgment

and to get ready for
