temptation coming to me

until evening. In the
evening we were having

family worship and I
was reading from a book

on prayer. Now my
husband is an editor,

and if we were reading
something and he sensed

a sentence problem
he would correct it.

Yeah. And this
evening he sensed a sentence

problem in the book.
Now, I didn't like him

to do it at worship
time. Yes. Other times fine,

but at worship and
when he did it at worship

I reacted and
worship would be spoiled.

You know, it's so
easy to spoil worship by a

wrong Spirit. Yes it
is. But I always blamed

him before. This
evening as we were having

worship and I was just
learning how to walk with
00:09:11.22\00:09:15.98
the Lord, and I was
reading and my husband
00:09:15.99\00:09:21.21
corrected a sentence problem.

Instantly I felt the
prompting to react and I
00:09:23.81\00:09:28.11
reacted. So, that was
flesh coming up in you.

Yeah, it was natural,
that's what I had done.

The moment I reacted
the Holy Spirit convicted

me, I had sinned. And
instead of blaming him

I bloated out to
the family, I've sinned.

My son told me
years later he said,

mom how well I
remember that night.

That was the first
time I heard you take the

blame. You see, I
had always blamed my

husband if I got upset with him.

I had blamed the
children if I got upset with

them. It is so easy
to blame others for our
00:10:13.92\00:10:17.84
heart sins. But you
know, isn't that what your
00:10:17.85\00:10:20.40
father did? That's
what my father did,
00:10:20.41\00:10:22.44
that's what I
learned? So, we become who
00:10:22.64\00:10:24.74
we behold? And I even
learned a text that he
00:10:24.75\00:10:27.59
quoted very often,
offenses will come,
00:10:27.60\00:10:30.44
but woe to him
through whom they come.

You see, so he
was blaming others,

that's why he could
not acknowledge his own

sins until he
realized what was involved.

And until I
realized what was involved.

And it's important for
us to realize that when

we have that anger or
offense that comes up,

we're short-tempered it
that Spirit is not of God.

It's not of God. So,
let me share with you

Once I was praying
and I was asking the Lord,

Please Lord give me a
definition for temptation,

so that I can explain
to people because so many

times people don't
really understand what

temptation is. Here's
the definition that I felt

like the Lord gave me,
that temptation is simply

an opportunity to do
something in a way other

than God's way.
That's right. And that's why

He says, He will
always provide us the way out.

He will show us, but
the way to do it in His

right way, so part of
the overcoming temptation

is to know the word
of God because that helps

to show us the way
out, to rely on the power

of the Holy Spirit
because that gives us the power

to chose the way
out, and that's what God

at this moment I didn't

know the way out, I
didn't know the way of

Okay! I hadn't leaned that

yet. And so I fell, I
sinned, but immediately I

acknowledged because
the Holy Spirit convicted

Instantly I felt the

temptation, instantly,
because I had so prayed

to God show me the
way out. Instantly,

He reminded me, you
gave up your right to resent

your husband no
matter what he does,

remember? And
instantly in my mind I said,

yes Lord and I really
meant it. Glory to God!

Spirit so controlled my
