Hello, I'm Shelley Quinn and welcome to another 00:00:30.44\00:00:33.28 Issues and Answers. Have you ever asked yourself 00:00:33.32\00:00:36.09 why do I believe what I believe? You know, it doesn't matter if 00:00:36.13\00:00:40.91 you have no religious beliefs or if you've been a Christian 00:00:40.95\00:00:45.47 or a Jew or a Buddhist or Muslim all your life, I think you're 00:00:45.51\00:00:49.32 going to really enjoy this program. We want to welcome back 00:00:49.35\00:00:53.13 today Dr. Subodh Pandit from Hendersonville, North 00:00:53.16\00:00:57.47 Carolina. A pleasure to be here. Oh it's a pleasure to have you 00:00:57.51\00:01:00.33 here. This is the sixth time you've been with us, so you're 00:01:00.37\00:01:03.52 getting to be an old pro at this. As a matter of fact, I'm 00:01:03.56\00:01:06.65 wondering, now that you've been on television so frequently, is 00:01:06.68\00:01:10.47 it making the ER work that you do less exciting? 00:01:10.50\00:01:14.95 This is actually, I must confess, more exciting. 00:01:14.98\00:01:19.36 Praise the Lord because God's got his hand on your life for 00:01:19.39\00:01:22.26 this. Let me briefly recap what we've been covering. 00:01:22.30\00:01:26.32 Dr. Pandit was born in India, reared there, went to medical 00:01:26.36\00:01:30.10 school. He was brought up in a Christian home, a Seventh-day 00:01:30.14\00:01:33.80 Adventist home, but he reached that point in his life when he 00:01:33.83\00:01:37.71 was married with two children that he was really saying, Why 00:01:37.75\00:01:41.16 do I believe what I believe and am I right? Because there were 00:01:41.19\00:01:44.56 so many lovely people in his country of diverse religious 00:01:44.60\00:01:48.74 backgrounds that believed that they were right, that he then 00:01:48.77\00:01:52.56 really was questioning himself and his beliefs. And what he 00:01:52.60\00:01:56.79 did was decide to search and he did a real search. He even got 00:01:56.82\00:02:02.23 to the point of saying is there really a God? He discovered in 00:02:02.27\00:02:07.64 this personal search of his that there was plenty of 00:02:07.67\00:02:11.33 evidence that there was a God. He looked at all these various 00:02:11.36\00:02:14.86 ways. If you want to find out about his search you can go 00:02:14.89\00:02:18.26 back and get these previous programs. But then he came down 00:02:18.29\00:02:21.43 to the question, What is truth? He looked at three different 00:02:21.46\00:02:24.98 types of truth, whether it was traditional truth, modernism, 00:02:25.02\00:02:28.51 post-modernism. He decided the traditional method was going to 00:02:28.55\00:02:32.31 be the best for his search and then, when he was going further, 00:02:32.34\00:02:36.07 he was looking to say, Is it true that all religions lead 00:02:36.11\00:02:41.02 to the same destination or is exclusivity the truth? 00:02:41.06\00:02:46.02 He decided that the exclusive, the religion that said they are 00:02:46.06\00:02:50.93 the only way was the truth. But he had five different 00:02:50.97\00:02:55.66 religions that he was looking at: Muslim, Hindu, the Buddhist 00:02:55.69\00:03:00.58 and Judeo-Christian and you are looking at these now and saying 00:03:00.62\00:03:05.62 only one can be correct because you eliminated every other thing 00:03:05.65\00:03:10.05 to say that they couldn't all be wrong because you knew that 00:03:10.09\00:03:14.08 there was a God. You couldn't say that they were all right 00:03:14.12\00:03:17.92 because they were all claiming to be the only way, so now 00:03:17.96\00:03:21.88 you're down to looking at their literature, the literature of 00:03:21.91\00:03:25.83 of antiquities and he's taking us through now very graciously 00:03:25.87\00:03:29.69 what his study was all about. So you've asked a number of 00:03:29.72\00:03:32.69 questions that we've already gone through looking at this 00:03:32.73\00:03:35.63 literature. Why don't you just briefly mention those questions. 00:03:35.66\00:03:39.92 We won't have time to discuss the answers but take us there. 00:03:39.96\00:03:44.28 The first question I asked was what type of literature is the 00:03:44.32\00:03:48.78 writing; is it mythological, is it legendary, is it just a folk 00:03:48.82\00:03:53.18 tale or is it historical? And the second question was, what 00:03:53.21\00:03:57.44 is the top feature of the writing? The third question was 00:03:57.47\00:04:02.41 does that writing open itself to be tested for authenticity? 00:04:02.44\00:04:07.07 The fourth question was to the founders now: What is the 00:04:07.11\00:04:11.41 highest claim that you as a founder make for yourself? 00:04:11.44\00:04:15.68 All right, so now you're coming down to the fifth question and 00:04:15.71\00:04:19.32 the question you were asking is what is the message, what 00:04:19.36\00:04:23.60 is the mission of these five religions? Let's talk about that 00:04:23.63\00:04:28.62 Yes. In the case I made it into a nutshell, just a sentence or 00:04:28.66\00:04:33.22 two. Somebody can say, you know, that I was doing it by myself 00:04:33.26\00:04:37.79 and that is true. But I made it so that there would be a 00:04:37.82\00:04:41.38 comparison. So here's what I found. When it came to the Hindu 00:04:41.41\00:04:47.10 religion, the literature there wanted us to find the way to 00:04:47.13\00:04:52.43 truth to break the cycle of what is called Sansarah or the 00:04:52.46\00:04:57.19 the life and death cycle such that yourself would now be 00:04:57.23\00:05:01.73 merged with the superself or the Brahman in a state called 00:05:01.77\00:05:06.07 Nirvana. So they wanted to show us the truth about this life. 00:05:06.10\00:05:10.37 When it came to Buddhism, Gautama Buddha declared that 00:05:10.40\00:05:16.58 he was born for enlightenment. In other words, he was going 00:05:16.62\00:05:20.31 to bring light to the world. He searched for it, found it 00:05:20.34\00:05:23.67 and then he was going to show us that. When it came to the 00:05:23.70\00:05:26.89 Islamic faith it was the question of bringing the word 00:05:26.93\00:05:30.04 of god to the world. Mohammad said, this is Quran, the word of 00:05:30.08\00:05:36.88 god. When it came to the Judaic literature, Moses 00:05:36.92\00:05:40.36 described what he got from his Jehovah as a set of statutes 00:05:40.40\00:05:45.47 and judgments and laws which he declared if a man does or a 00:05:45.50\00:05:50.50 woman does and keeps it, he will have life. These were what their 00:05:50.53\00:05:56.48 basic messages and missions were. When it came to Jesus, 00:05:56.51\00:06:01.04 I'd like to put the slide on the screen right now and 00:06:01.08\00:06:05.57 see what he said, He said: 00:06:05.61\00:06:22.80 Now when you look at that it does not seem to be a very big 00:06:22.84\00:06:27.30 difference but I'd like to just point this out. Each of the 00:06:27.33\00:06:31.20 others said, I will show you, for instance, what is truth. 00:06:31.24\00:06:35.04 I will show you the way to truth whereas he was saying, I have 00:06:35.08\00:06:40.15 not only come to show you the truth, I am the truth. 00:06:40.18\00:06:45.07 To me that is a big difference. 00:06:45.10\00:06:47.62 That's a really huge difference if you think reflectively, 00:06:47.66\00:06:51.88 carefully. To make that as a claim is to set yourself very 00:06:51.92\00:06:55.31 different from the others. I want to emphasize that we 00:06:55.35\00:06:58.67 just do quick comparisons with two of those founders. I do not 00:06:58.71\00:07:03.06 mean to belittle them at all. In other words, we are going 00:07:03.09\00:07:07.40 to take their words at face value, but make a quick 00:07:07.44\00:07:11.09 comparison. The first one is with Gautama Buddha. 00:07:11.13\00:07:14.75 Now repeat that name again for me. 00:07:14.78\00:07:18.62 Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. He at the age of 00:07:18.65\00:07:24.78 29 left home. I would like to read here his own description 00:07:24.81\00:07:30.41 of how he searched for light. To such a pitch of ascetism 00:07:30.44\00:07:35.28 have I gone that naked was I flaunting life's decencies. 00:07:35.32\00:07:39.88 I have taken only one morsel a day or one every two days 00:07:39.92\00:07:44.41 or one every seven days or one every fortnight. In fulfillment 00:07:44.44\00:07:49.89 of my vows I have plucked out the hairs of my head, of 00:07:49.92\00:07:54.27 my beard, have never quitted the upright for the sitting 00:07:54.31\00:07:58.99 posture, have squatted and never risen up having couched on 00:07:59.03\00:08:03.62 thorns, have gone down to the water punctually thrice before 00:08:03.65\00:08:08.54 nightfall to was away the evil within. After this in diverse 00:08:08.57\00:08:13.76 fashions I have lived to torment and torture my body. To such a 00:08:13.80\00:08:18.22 length of ascetism have I gone. This is from the book Buddhism 00:08:18.26\00:08:23.21 by K.K.S. Chinn. The words of Gautama himself. What we are 00:08:23.24\00:08:28.12 looking at here is a description of his desperate search. 00:08:28.15\00:08:33.43 Not to belittle anyone who believes in this or in him 00:08:33.47\00:08:39.30 himself, but when someone is going through the physical 00:08:39.33\00:08:44.21 torture and torment that he subjected himself to, what 00:08:44.25\00:08:49.06 state of mind must they put someone into to then think that 00:08:49.09\00:08:52.49 that's when you've received truth? 00:08:52.52\00:08:54.92 It's a good question, but when you look at Gautama Buddha, he 00:08:54.96\00:08:58.72 made the same question himself and then he went back to proper 00:08:58.75\00:09:02.48 dieting after that and nutritious intake of food. 00:09:02.51\00:09:05.55 But the point is six years he searched and the description 00:09:05.59\00:09:10.37 there was not an ordinary search, it was a 00:09:10.40\00:09:14.23 desperate search. 00:09:14.27\00:09:15.24 What I want to do is compare and contrast that with Jesus 00:09:15.25\00:09:20.04 who simply stood and said I am the light. In other words, I 00:09:20.07\00:09:25.22 don't have to search for it because I am the light. 00:09:25.25\00:09:28.24 It is a big difference. Now when you go the next difference 00:09:28.28\00:09:32.80 the comparison between Muhammad the prophet, the seal of the 00:09:32.83\00:09:37.57 prophets of the Muslim religion. One of the highest mystical 00:09:37.60\00:09:43.14 experiences he ever had was in the year 620 CE, the common era. 00:09:43.18\00:09:48.69 This is their traditional writing that described this. 00:09:48.72\00:09:52.13 We are going to take it at face value. He was awakened one 00:09:52.17\00:09:56.41 night around Mecca by the angel Gabriel, put on the heavenly 00:09:56.45\00:10:01.88 steed or horse, Baruch, and swung over to Jerusalem. There 00:10:01.91\00:10:06.48 they found a ladder that would reach up through the seven 00:10:06.51\00:10:11.01 heavens to the sphere of god or Allah. Each of the seven heavens 00:10:11.04\00:10:16.21 were presided by a prophet; the first one was Adam, and then 00:10:16.24\00:10:21.17 the next was Jesus and on to maybe Enoch and the others. 00:10:21.21\00:10:26.07 The seventh was presided over by Abraham. Then he went to the 00:10:26.10\00:10:31.64 sphere of god and the same night returned to earth. This is 00:10:31.68\00:10:36.35 called Israh, the night flight or the night journey, and 00:10:36.38\00:10:41.81 established him as a really high prophet of very high 00:10:41.85\00:10:47.21 credentials. We're going to take that at face value; yes he did 00:10:47.24\00:10:52.71 go. That is your saying yes if you 00:10:52.75\00:10:57.42 take that at face value that he did go. Okay. 00:10:57.46\00:11:00.09 Yes. So now let's take the claims of Jesus also at face 00:11:00.12\00:11:04.84 value then and here is where we find a very big difference. 00:11:04.88\00:11:10.03 Here is a prophet, a resident of this earth who has claimed 00:11:10.06\00:11:14.84 that he went up there for a visit and then came back down. 00:11:14.87\00:11:19.61 And that was Mohammad. 00:11:19.64\00:11:20.95 Mohammad. Jesus said the place he went to visit is where I 00:11:20.99\00:11:28.68 reside. Jesus came from heaven to earth. 00:11:28.71\00:11:31.34 That's right. So here is the difference. A persons who is a 00:11:31.37\00:11:35.39 resident of earth went up there for a visit and then came down. 00:11:35.43\00:11:39.25 Jesus' claim is that he lives up there and came down here 00:11:39.28\00:11:44.22 for a visit. So the origins and the direction of travel are 00:11:44.25\00:11:49.12 exactly the opposite. Now here's the question: Who will know more 00:11:49.15\00:11:55.45 about a kingdom or a nation or a country, the one who lives 00:11:55.48\00:12:02.23 there or the one who comes there for a two-hour visit? 00:12:02.26\00:12:06.07 Hmm, very good point. So yes we acknowledge he may 00:12:06.11\00:12:09.35 have gone there for a visit and we do recognize that 00:12:09.39\00:12:12.65 it's a very high mystical experience, but it will never 00:12:12.68\00:12:15.88 compare with a person who just lives there. In other words, a 00:12:15.91\00:12:20.83 person who is now stating what America is if he is a resident 00:12:20.86\00:12:26.11 of America it makes him more credible than if I just came 00:12:26.14\00:12:30.15 for a two-hour visit maybe to New York or Chicago and back 00:12:30.18\00:12:34.15 to my country. So this is a big difference. So in a 00:12:34.19\00:12:38.72 nutshell although it was a subjective discussion it does 00:12:38.76\00:12:42.82 bring out a difference and the difference is very stark, 00:12:42.86\00:12:46.89 amazing. We have to say wow. 00:12:46.92\00:12:49.39 Yes it is a wow. And I have to say wow at the way you fascinate 00:12:49.43\00:12:53.89 me. I believe God's call was on your life. Actually I believe 00:12:53.93\00:12:57.90 the Lord led you through this whole study because now you 00:12:57.94\00:13:01.88 have Search Seminars International and you actually 00:13:01.91\00:13:05.51 go out and give these seminars Come Search With Me in 00:13:05.55\00:13:08.80 university settings and at churches and I know the Lord 00:13:08.84\00:13:12.87 is using your ministry. But it fascinates me in the way in 00:13:12.90\00:13:16.99 which you went about this. So you really were an inquirer. 00:13:17.03\00:13:20.51 You were not saying okay I'm going to be a skeptic or a 00:13:20.54\00:13:23.95 believer, you're going out there with a totally open mind and 00:13:23.99\00:13:27.20 it fascinates me even the 10 questions that you were asking 00:13:27.24\00:13:30.89 the literature there. So now that you had gone through this 00:13:30.93\00:13:35.01 and you're looking and finding so many wow factors in each one 00:13:35.05\00:13:39.10 actually. I mean, there were wow factors in every one of 00:13:39.13\00:13:43.32 these letters of antiquity, but now Jesus is coming to the 00:13:43.36\00:13:47.18 forefront so far. But I know last time you told me there 00:13:47.21\00:13:50.85 were a few tests that in your experience that you felt that 00:13:50.89\00:13:54.03 maybe the others had come. So you're still looking at this 00:13:54.06\00:13:56.99 with an open mind and the next question you asked yourself 00:13:57.03\00:14:02.20 was how does their life actually line up with their message? 00:14:02.24\00:14:07.38 This I considered to be the acid test of the founder. 00:14:07.42\00:14:10.90 Yes, you can talk, yes, you can expound a teaching or a doctrine 00:14:10.93\00:14:16.39 but I want to know how did you live it. And so I asked this 00:14:16.42\00:14:20.63 question of all these five. Let's quickly go through what 00:14:20.67\00:14:24.81 their response was. In the Hindu literature they clearly state 00:14:24.84\00:14:29.45 that if you want to reach a state of transcendental thinking 00:14:29.49\00:14:34.16 and meditation then you must put away sensual gratification, 00:14:34.20\00:14:39.45 even the desire for it. That's their stated doctrine. When you 00:14:39.49\00:14:44.61 compare that with the lives of them, none of them match up 00:14:44.65\00:14:49.40 to it; even the great Krishna. The descriptions of how he 00:14:49.44\00:14:53.43 dealt with what is called the gopees who he grew up with. 00:14:53.46\00:14:57.71 Gopees were girl cowherds and that's how he grew up in 00:14:57.74\00:15:01.95 Drivnavna. So girl cowherds, like cowgirls? 00:15:01.99\00:15:05.83 That's right. Okay. And the description in their writings 00:15:05.86\00:15:10.80 as how he dealt with them was a very sensuous way. 00:15:10.84\00:15:16.53 Such that even Gautama Buddha the founder of Buddhism when 00:15:16.57\00:15:20.37 he was a Hindu looking at their own literature, this is what he 00:15:20.41\00:15:24.53 said. He said our books tell us of gods and sages who though 00:15:24.56\00:15:29.24 high-minded were addicted to sensuous passion. So in their 00:15:29.27\00:15:33.76 own writings they really do not come up to what they had 00:15:33.79\00:15:38.24 written down. So they weren't practicing what 00:15:38.27\00:15:40.72 they were preaching. That's right. When you come to 00:15:40.76\00:15:42.58 Buddhism, Gautama Buddha before he left he made four rules that 00:15:42.62\00:15:48.42 would cause a monk to be expelled from the monastery. 00:15:48.45\00:15:52.12 One of them if you have sensual contact with anyone. The fact is 00:15:52.16\00:15:57.48 Gautama Buddha himself was married, he had a son and then 00:15:57.51\00:16:01.94 from the age of 16 to the age of 29 his father, according to 00:16:01.97\00:16:05.78 their own traditional writings, kept him up on the higher floors 00:16:05.82\00:16:09.59 of the palace because he was not allowed to come down. 00:16:09.63\00:16:13.57 He might see sickness or suffering, old age and death, 00:16:13.60\00:16:17.48 which was what his father said he should not ever see. How do 00:16:17.51\00:16:21.45 you keep a young person entertained? Their writings do 00:16:21.48\00:16:25.98 tell us he was entertained by women minstrels day in and day 00:16:26.01\00:16:31.20 out. And that is why when he was searching he said I go down 00:16:31.23\00:16:36.38 to the water thrice before nightfall to wash away the evil 00:16:36.41\00:16:41.53 within me. So he himself acknowledged. I am not 00:16:41.56\00:16:45.52 describing what the evil is. It's his own words that say 00:16:45.56\00:16:49.15 that there was evil. When it comes to the Islamic faith 00:16:49.18\00:16:53.89 Muhammad is considered by Muslims actually to be the 00:16:53.93\00:16:58.57 perfect man. But in their own writings, the 48th chapter of 00:16:58.61\00:17:03.39 the Quran Allah says this to him. We have given you a 00:17:03.43\00:17:08.65 glorious victory so that we will forgive you your past and 00:17:08.69\00:17:15.34 future sins. So I do not have to call sin what it is according 00:17:15.37\00:17:20.35 to a Muslim. It is Allah who is stating that in the Quran. 00:17:20.39\00:17:25.24 In other words, Muhammad, perfect though he was as a man, 00:17:25.27\00:17:30.08 the book still tells us that there was sin in him. 00:17:30.12\00:17:33.97 When it comes to the Judaic literature we look at three of 00:17:34.00\00:17:37.13 the greats of Judaism: Abraham, David and Moses. They said, Thou 00:17:37.17\00:17:43.45 shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt 00:17:43.49\00:17:47.62 not bear false witness or tell lies. None of those three ever 00:17:47.66\00:17:51.44 could look at their lives and say it is clean regarding any 00:17:51.47\00:17:55.22 of these. When you come to Jesus, I'm going to look at it 00:17:55.25\00:18:00.43 in 12 different ways, 12 statements. Maybe you can keep 00:18:00.47\00:18:05.06 count of them. Different angles and let's see what they said 00:18:05.09\00:18:09.64 about this life. Let's look at a Roman governor, Pilot. 00:18:09.68\00:18:15.73 He said having examined him I find no fault in him and one 00:18:15.76\00:18:21.27 of the gospels says no fault at all. Then he testifies also 00:18:21.30\00:18:26.00 about Herod. So Herod is number two. He says Herod also found 00:18:26.03\00:18:30.32 no fault with you. The third one was while he was in the 00:18:30.36\00:18:34.36 trial his wife sent a little note to him saying, Watch out, 00:18:34.40\00:18:38.93 this man is a just man. That's number three. Number four: 00:18:38.97\00:18:43.43 At the cross there was a Roman centurion, a soldier, a hardened 00:18:43.47\00:18:47.93 soldier, who looked up at him and he said, Surely this man 00:18:47.96\00:18:52.39 was a righteous man. One of the thieves hanging on the cross 00:18:52.43\00:18:56.82 said, Look I'm suffering for what I did but this man, 00:18:56.86\00:19:01.82 according to his words, has done nothing wrong. Five 00:19:01.86\00:19:06.75 statements of people who were distant from Jesus. Let's look 00:19:06.78\00:19:10.54 at those who were close to Jesus, His own disciples. 00:19:10.57\00:19:13.62 John: He said in him there is no sin. Peter described it in 00:19:13.65\00:19:20.92 other words: Without spot, without blemish. The writer of 00:19:20.95\00:19:26.66 Hebrews, possible Paul, says he was tempted in all points 00:19:26.70\00:19:32.23 and yet without sin. We have covered nine statements. 00:19:32.27\00:19:37.73 The 10th one is a very unusual one. I'd like to quote it from 00:19:37.76\00:19:43.65 the Quran: Jesus is the only founder of a major religion that 00:19:43.69\00:19:49.16 is mentioned in the books of another major religion. He is 00:19:49.20\00:19:53.31 mentioned many times in the Quran. Those who have done 00:19:53.35\00:19:57.39 a count tell me that he is mentioned in 93 verses in the 00:19:57.43\00:20:02.36 Quran. Sixteen times he is called the Messiah, 11 times 00:20:02.40\00:20:08.07 he is identified as Isa Ben Mariam meaning Jesus the son 00:20:08.10\00:20:13.16 of Mary in the Quran. Let me read to you Chapter 3 and 00:20:13.20\00:20:18.19 verses 45 and 46 regarding the life of Jesus: His name is the 00:20:18.23\00:20:23.58 Messiah, Jesus son Mary. He shall be noble in this world and 00:20:23.61\00:20:28.12 in the world to come and shall be one of those who are favored. 00:20:28.15\00:20:32.63 He shall preach to men in his cradle and in the prime of 00:20:32.66\00:20:38.08 manhood and shall lead a righteous life. The Quran, #10. 00:20:38.12\00:20:44.16 That's amazing. Amazing testimony. The 11th one is Jesus 00:20:44.19\00:20:49.33 himself. It is one thing for somebody to tell somebody else 00:20:49.36\00:20:53.51 you are good. It's another when you look into your own life and 00:20:53.55\00:20:57.66 and find nothing there. There was a time when he looked at 00:20:57.70\00:21:00.71 his bitterest enemies and critics and said can you, any 00:21:00.75\00:21:05.32 of you show me one sin in me. And the answer was silence. 00:21:05.36\00:21:11.32 Number 12: This I think crowns it all. It was the time at the 00:21:11.36\00:21:16.63 trial before the Sanhedrin when it was an open trial. In other 00:21:16.66\00:21:21.90 words, you could bring in witnesses and the Sanhedrin 00:21:21.93\00:21:25.47 was there calling witness after witness and could not do 00:21:25.51\00:21:28.97 anything with him. Finally the priest himself, the high priest, 00:21:29.01\00:21:33.41 got up and came to him and asked him under oath tell us if 00:21:33.44\00:21:37.69 you are the Son of God. According to Jewish tradition, 00:21:37.73\00:21:41.91 it was probably the full council meaning 70 members plus one 00:21:41.95\00:21:47.05 the least quorum you need for passing the death sentence is 00:21:47.08\00:21:51.54 23 according to Jewish tradition so we know there were at least 00:21:51.58\00:21:56.00 23 plus the high priest. So among those 23 they knew 00:21:56.03\00:22:00.22 everything of the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. 00:22:00.25\00:22:04.36 They called witness after witness, couldn't find anything 00:22:04.40\00:22:07.85 until this last sentence or question that the chief priest 00:22:07.89\00:22:14.05 asked, Who really are you? My question is why did they shift 00:22:14.08\00:22:20.42 from what did you do or say or did you not do to who are you. 00:22:20.46\00:22:26.77 Why the shift in the judicial court of law? 00:22:26.80\00:22:31.75 Because they couldn't find anything wrong to convict him. 00:22:31.79\00:22:36.18 That was the point. The reason for shifting out to his identity 00:22:36.21\00:22:41.22 was because in his actions there was nothing wrong that the whole 00:22:41.25\00:22:46.23 bench of judges could find. Excellent point. So when you 00:22:46.26\00:22:50.26 look at all 12 you find here and only here a person where the 00:22:50.29\00:22:58.64 theory of his teaching has met its match in practice. Here only 00:22:58.68\00:23:05.15 do you find a man in whom the principles of teaching have been 00:23:05.18\00:23:11.05 carried out to a completion in real life. So therefore, the 00:23:11.09\00:23:16.92 only life that I can really describe as unblemished 00:23:16.96\00:23:22.77 perfection. Therefore, here is my conclusion at this point. 00:23:22.81\00:23:28.23 Here's the only person who can face the whole world, look you 00:23:28.27\00:23:33.66 and me in the eye and with perfect right and perfect 00:23:33.69\00:23:39.08 credibility say Follow Me. Nobody else has that right. 00:23:39.11\00:23:44.19 Now at this point you had researched for years and this 00:23:44.23\00:23:49.24 is still fairly early on, a few years into your research, how 00:23:49.28\00:23:53.86 do you get to that point where now Jesus has come to the 00:23:53.89\00:23:57.45 forefront on two issues. Number one when you're looking at the 00:23:57.48\00:24:01.42 five religions and what their founders claimed that his was 00:24:01.46\00:24:04.82 the highest claim. Others had claimed to be a prophet, the 00:24:04.86\00:24:08.60 enlightened one, a sage, but here he is claiming to be the 00:24:08.63\00:24:12.61 Son of God and now as you examine the founders of these 00:24:12.64\00:24:17.14 religions you find that he's the only one whose life meets 00:24:17.18\00:24:22.73 up with the message that he's preaching. Did you have to 00:24:22.76\00:24:28.24 struggle against allowing Jesus to come to the forefront. I mean 00:24:28.28\00:24:32.12 because you still did a lot more research. How did you 00:24:32.16\00:24:35.03 contain yourself. At point, I'd probably been saying he's the 00:24:35.06\00:24:38.79 one. But how did you contain yourself then or did you contain 00:24:38.83\00:24:42.52 yourself? I had to contain myself because 00:24:42.56\00:24:45.30 the search was not yet over. I will come to that point in 00:24:45.34\00:24:49.36 just one moment. Let me wrap this up with one sentence. 00:24:49.40\00:24:53.35 This idea of him having lived a perfect life was really to me a 00:24:53.39\00:24:59.88 very uncanny confirmation of his previous stand of being 00:24:59.92\00:25:05.80 the Way, the Truth and the Life. He said I am it. You see, if you 00:25:05.84\00:25:10.25 say I've brought it, then you can make a mistake in life, but 00:25:10.28\00:25:15.40 you cannot make a mistake if you say I am it. So when we really 00:25:15.44\00:25:20.40 find that he really did not make that kind of a mistake, it is a 00:25:20.43\00:25:24.91 conformation of what he earlier said, I am the Way, the Truth 00:25:24.94\00:25:28.64 and the Life. Excellent point. Now we come to your question 00:25:28.68\00:25:32.00 whether I had to stop here and say okay the search is over. 00:25:32.03\00:25:35.53 I could have, but there is one thing that I had learned when I 00:25:35.57\00:25:39.85 was as a physician when reading literature. You recognize people 00:25:39.89\00:25:46.20 can skew figures, data, opinions and concepts. I asked myself 00:25:46.23\00:25:52.35 am I pushing this man to the front or is he doing it himself? 00:25:52.39\00:25:57.34 You see by the time you come to the 15th or 16th mile marker 00:25:57.37\00:26:01.50 of the marathon if somebody is out in front, your eyes are 00:26:01.54\00:26:05.60 naturally on that front runner. But we are still not at the tape 00:26:05.63\00:26:10.96 So my question at that point was am I pushing him out there 00:26:11.00\00:26:16.62 or is he doing the running himself. So here is what I 00:26:16.65\00:26:20.60 looked for. I looked for a point in which he may not have come 00:26:20.64\00:26:26.90 out in front. We are going to cover some 00:26:26.94\00:26:31.48 of these other questions that you asked in another program 00:26:31.51\00:26:35.67 that's coming up. You're actually going to make the test 00:26:35.71\00:26:40.50 even more difficult for the case of Jesus to make sure that 00:26:40.54\00:26:44.35 you're not skewing or weighting it in one area of the other. 00:26:44.39\00:26:48.78 That's right. I want to describe some studies which I honestly 00:26:48.81\00:26:53.31 did in which he did not come out first. In fact, the next three 00:26:53.35\00:26:57.81 are in which he came out last. 00:26:57.85\00:27:00.08 That's interesting. So I can't wait because what we do know 00:27:00.11\00:27:04.69 is that Dr. Pandit at the end of his research made a cause for 00:27:04.72\00:27:08.82 Christ that he said he has to be the one. Dr. Pandit, thank 00:27:08.85\00:27:12.75 you so much for being with us again today. I truly appreciate 00:27:12.79\00:27:16.66 the research you did and I appreciate you coming to 3ABN 00:27:16.69\00:27:20.00 to share this with our audience. Thank you so much for joining us. 00:27:41.65\00:27:44.94 May the Lord multiply his mercy, his love and his grace to you 00:27:44.97\00:27:50.38 and yours for here and for evermore. 00:27:50.41\00:27:53.61 We're glad that you joined us. 00:27:53.64\00:27:56.63
