Through the years we have had a lot of patients at 00:00:01.98\00:00:04.04 Uchee Pines Institute at our lifestyle center, 00:00:04.07\00:00:06.54 who have sort of stood out as exemplary patients 00:00:06.57\00:00:11.64 for one reason or another. 00:00:11.67\00:00:13.15 I would like to tell you the story about several of these 00:00:13.18\00:00:16.09 so if you like stories about people who have had 00:00:16.12\00:00:19.77 a good healing, maybe you will like to stay with us and 00:00:19.80\00:00:22.96 we will discuss some of these cases at this time. 00:00:22.99\00:00:26.11 Welcome to Help Yourself To Health, with Dr. Agatha Thrash 00:00:45.00\00:00:49.14 of Uchee Pines Institute, and now here is your host 00:00:49.17\00:00:52.93 Dr. Thrash. 00:00:52.96\00:00:53.93 The first case that I would like to tell you about 00:00:53.94\00:00:57.03 is a little 10 year old girl. 00:00:57.06\00:00:58.68 She was a very pretty little girl, came to Uchee Pines 00:00:58.71\00:01:02.83 as a patient, she had a number of symptoms, 00:01:02.86\00:01:06.05 and it turned out that she had Celiac disease, but 00:01:06.08\00:01:08.88 she had never been diagnosed. 00:01:08.91\00:01:11.21 She had a number of the symptoms that I'm going to show you 00:01:11.24\00:01:14.35 on the screen, as of being typical of patients who have 00:01:14.38\00:01:17.98 Celiac disease. 00:01:18.01\00:01:19.35 Celiac disease is rather serious affliction of children, 00:01:19.38\00:01:24.29 and older people, and we will see on the screen those symptoms 00:01:24.32\00:01:29.79 that usually have their onset in childhood. 00:01:29.82\00:01:33.21 The symptoms of a gluten sensitivity include diarrhea, 00:01:33.24\00:01:38.60 weakness, lassitude, fatigability, weight loss, 00:01:38.63\00:01:43.12 which can be rather profound, especially in adults. 00:01:43.15\00:01:46.25 A poor appetite, they may have an enlarged abdomen, 00:01:46.28\00:01:51.03 they may be pale, they may bleed easily. 00:01:51.06\00:01:54.91 When they put a little strain on a muscle, or when they 00:01:54.94\00:02:00.12 relax it fully, they may get a little jumping of the muscle, 00:02:00.15\00:02:04.83 which is called tetany, they may have a sore tongue, 00:02:04.86\00:02:08.36 and strange sensations in various places. 00:02:08.39\00:02:11.57 Muscle cramps are rather common, a scaly skin sometimes, 00:02:11.60\00:02:16.61 bone pain sometimes and depression. 00:02:16.64\00:02:18.90 Not every patient will have all of these symptoms, 00:02:18.93\00:02:23.73 and our patient didn't have them all, in fact she didn't 00:02:23.76\00:02:27.82 have enough that people could really recognize it as Celiac 00:02:27.85\00:02:30.99 disease, or a gluten sensitivity. 00:02:31.02\00:02:33.51 But she indeed did have the gluten sensitivity, 00:02:33.54\00:02:38.21 and when we removed gluten from her diet, 00:02:38.24\00:02:41.81 she began to improve right away, she at first 00:02:41.84\00:02:46.63 looked to be about six years old, although she was actually 00:02:46.66\00:02:50.28 ten, so when we put her on the gluten free diet, 00:02:50.31\00:02:55.11 it was only a few days, before a lot of the abdominal symptoms 00:02:55.14\00:03:00.30 that she had, went away. 00:03:00.33\00:03:02.32 This kind of success story we are always very happy to have, 00:03:02.35\00:03:07.40 because it indicates something that's really serious, but 00:03:07.43\00:03:11.41 then has a very simple answer. 00:03:11.44\00:03:16.05 If you know someone with a gluten sensitivity, 00:03:16.09\00:03:19.29 you may want to give them an address of Gluten Free Living 00:03:19.32\00:03:23.45 which I will show you on the screen right now. 00:03:23.48\00:03:25.51 This address is a place where people can write off to 00:03:25.54\00:03:29.91 and get information. 00:03:29.94\00:03:39.38 People with gluten sensitivity are very frequently 00:03:39.41\00:03:43.72 seriously affected, but they don't have a diagnosis even. 00:03:43.75\00:03:49.52 Another case that I would like to tell you about, 00:03:49.55\00:03:53.31 is one very interesting. 00:03:53.34\00:03:55.34 We had a woman who was about 50 years old, 00:03:55.37\00:03:58.59 came to Uchee Pines with an ovarian cancer, 00:03:58.62\00:04:02.42 it was in both sides, and we really don't know what to make 00:04:02.45\00:04:06.73 of this case, but the diagnosis was made else ware, 00:04:06.76\00:04:10.29 and when she came, there was a large mass on the left side, 00:04:10.32\00:04:14.60 firmly attached to the hipbone, easily palpable, 00:04:14.63\00:04:19.69 from the abdomen, she could easily feel it herself, 00:04:19.72\00:04:23.90 and her relatives could feel it. 00:04:23.93\00:04:25.40 You couldn't feel the about five centimeter mass, 00:04:25.43\00:04:30.22 in the right ovarian area, but it was easily palpated on a 00:04:30.25\00:04:37.12 pelvic exam. 00:04:37.15\00:04:38.12 During the time that she was at Uchee Pines, we gave her 00:04:38.13\00:04:42.02 a totally grape filled diet. 00:04:42.05\00:04:45.39 It was grapes for breakfast, grapes for lunch, grapes for 00:04:45.42\00:04:49.61 supper, sometimes she had grape juice, 00:04:49.64\00:04:52.02 we got all different kinds of grapes. 00:04:52.05\00:04:54.71 We fed her red ones, and white ones, and green ones 00:04:54.74\00:04:57.64 and purple ones, those with seeds, and those without seeds. 00:04:57.67\00:05:01.88 We gave her also grape juice, and she could even have some 00:05:01.91\00:05:05.84 raisins, but only grapes. 00:05:05.87\00:05:08.26 Actually we did give her a little green drink 00:05:08.29\00:05:10.92 because her hemoglobin was so low, that we felt 00:05:10.95\00:05:14.85 she needed to be built up with some chlorophyll containing 00:05:14.88\00:05:18.96 compounds, that are also high in iron, and high in Vitamin C. 00:05:18.99\00:05:22.89 During the time that she was at Uchee Pines, 00:05:22.92\00:05:26.08 the tumor on her left side, went down to about half the size 00:05:26.11\00:05:32.57 it was when she came in, and was no longer so tightly fixed 00:05:32.60\00:05:38.44 to the pelvic wall. 00:05:38.47\00:05:40.50 After she went home, she continued on the diet 00:05:40.53\00:05:43.92 that we had given her at Uchee Pines, 00:05:43.95\00:05:45.68 and the tumor mass completely went away. 00:05:45.71\00:05:49.04 Again we say we don't know what to make of that, 00:05:49.07\00:05:52.60 she hasn't been long enough for us to have 00:05:52.63\00:05:56.29 repeat tests on her, but we have certainly been 00:05:56.32\00:05:59.74 very encouraged by a simple routine, and this leads us 00:05:59.77\00:06:03.77 to believe that every disease of mankind has a cure in nature. 00:06:03.80\00:06:09.75 I don't know if grapes is a cure, if this treatment 00:06:09.78\00:06:13.86 is a cure for ovarian cancer, or can even put it in remission 00:06:13.89\00:06:19.25 even for awhile, we don't know the answer to that, 00:06:19.28\00:06:22.60 we just know that in this one case, there was a reduction 00:06:22.63\00:06:27.81 in the size of the tumor, and it appears to the woman herself 00:06:27.84\00:06:32.85 that it has gone away. 00:06:32.88\00:06:34.36 We also gave her hot fever baths, and that has been 00:06:34.39\00:06:38.69 associated with a good report in some people who have cancer. 00:06:38.72\00:06:44.11 Another woman who had cancer and a very good result was, 00:06:44.14\00:06:49.73 a woman from New York, she was a good school teacher, 00:06:49.76\00:06:55.44 very active in her school, she also was a good church member, 00:06:55.47\00:07:00.26 and very active in her church. 00:07:00.29\00:07:02.65 She had a large breast cancer, she was very much overweight, 00:07:02.68\00:07:06.80 the breast was removed and, some lymph nodes in her Axilla, 00:07:06.83\00:07:11.08 the lymph nodes contained the cancer, 00:07:11.11\00:07:14.21 and some four years later, the cancer recurred under her 00:07:14.24\00:07:19.36 collar bone, on the same side that she had the mastectomy. 00:07:19.39\00:07:23.36 When she went to her physician the second time, 00:07:23.39\00:07:27.43 her cancer was a large orange sized mass, 00:07:27.46\00:07:32.07 just under the collar bone. 00:07:32.10\00:07:34.15 She already knew that it was a cancer 00:07:34.18\00:07:36.41 before she went to see the doctor. 00:07:36.44\00:07:38.01 He said well, we've already given you the maximum 00:07:38.04\00:07:41.29 of radiation, I don't feel we should take it off, 00:07:41.32\00:07:45.70 but we can offer you some chemotherapy. 00:07:45.73\00:07:48.98 She said no, the chemotherapy that you gave me before, 00:07:49.01\00:07:52.72 almost killed me, and I recognize that this cancer 00:07:52.75\00:07:56.97 is going to be the death of me, so I will just go home 00:07:57.00\00:08:01.48 and set my house in order. 00:08:01.51\00:08:03.24 Well she heard about Uchee Pines about that time, 00:08:03.27\00:08:06.10 so she came to our institute, and with our treatments, 00:08:06.13\00:08:10.30 the fever treatments and a very strict diet of total vegetarian 00:08:10.33\00:08:15.58 nature, the big orange sized mass, shrank down to the size 00:08:15.61\00:08:22.52 of a large walnut. 00:08:22.55\00:08:23.83 She was just delighted and so were we. 00:08:23.86\00:08:28.43 She went back home to her New York residence, 00:08:28.46\00:08:32.88 and began teaching school again. 00:08:32.91\00:08:35.56 She taught school for four more years, 00:08:35.59\00:08:38.05 that was eight years after the initial cancer was discovered. 00:08:38.08\00:08:42.92 At the end of the eighth year, she began to get depressed, 00:08:42.95\00:08:48.47 she was in a situation at her home that was not 00:08:48.50\00:08:52.69 really comfortable, and she was having a little friction 00:08:52.72\00:08:55.99 at home, got depressed over that, decided she would 00:08:56.02\00:08:59.33 spend the summer with her brother who was living in a very 00:08:59.36\00:09:04.25 free lifestyle, he drank a little wine with every evening 00:09:04.28\00:09:09.97 meal, and sometimes drank a cocktail, 00:09:10.00\00:09:11.98 and she joined with her brother and his wife 00:09:12.01\00:09:14.93 with these activities, they went out to eat every night, 00:09:14.96\00:09:18.03 of the week, and ate a large dinner. 00:09:18.06\00:09:21.11 Slowly during the summer she began to be less depressed, 00:09:21.14\00:09:26.10 but she was gaining an enormous amount, 00:09:26.13\00:09:29.28 she had lost about 60 Ibs. during the time 00:09:29.31\00:09:33.06 that we were treating her for the breast cancer. 00:09:33.09\00:09:36.30 With this great gain in weight, she could tell that her chest 00:09:36.33\00:09:40.42 was also getting quite large. 00:09:40.45\00:09:42.56 When she got back home at the end of the summer, 00:09:42.59\00:09:46.41 and started to teach, she began to realize that she had a 00:09:46.44\00:09:50.16 tumor in the opposite breast. 00:09:50.19\00:09:52.25 As she began to investigate this, her surgeon said "yes" 00:09:52.28\00:09:58.21 you have a recurrence there. 00:09:58.24\00:10:00.23 If you don't accept the chemotherapy, 00:10:00.26\00:10:02.51 we have nothing that we can offer. 00:10:02.54\00:10:04.44 She didn't accept the chemotherapy, 00:10:04.48\00:10:06.28 again she went home and set her house in order, 00:10:06.31\00:10:09.13 and even though she went back on the program that 00:10:09.16\00:10:12.07 we had taught her at Uchee Pines, 00:10:12.10\00:10:13.73 she could not get the cancer in remission a second time. 00:10:13.76\00:10:18.22 This brings up a principal that we have seen several times, 00:10:18.25\00:10:21.78 in treating cancer at Uchee Pines, that a person 00:10:21.81\00:10:26.49 may have the cancer in remission and then they for some reason, 00:10:26.52\00:10:32.37 decide to go off the program, and going off the program 00:10:32.40\00:10:36.27 puts them in an irretrievable position. 00:10:36.30\00:10:39.30 Even though we may try diligently to get them in a 00:10:39.33\00:10:42.33 remission again, we are unable to do so. 00:10:42.36\00:10:45.31 We tell people, when the Lord has given them the healing, 00:10:45.34\00:10:49.83 don't throw it away for any reason. 00:10:49.86\00:10:52.29 Don't let anything come up, so that you would not be so willing 00:10:52.32\00:10:58.16 to stay on the program that has put your tumor in remission. 00:10:58.19\00:11:02.04 Another case that I would like to tell you about, 00:11:02.07\00:11:05.47 is a case of type 1 diabetes. 00:11:05.50\00:11:07.64 Just as I wish we could say with all cancers, 00:11:07.67\00:11:12.46 that they all react like these two that I told you about. 00:11:12.49\00:11:15.34 We have scores, that have not been so successful. 00:11:15.37\00:11:19.73 We may put them in remission but, or we may slow down the 00:11:19.76\00:11:24.99 advance of the cancer, but we have had very few 00:11:25.02\00:11:29.49 what we would call cures. 00:11:29.52\00:11:31.38 There is no known cure for cancer at the present time, 00:11:31.41\00:11:35.59 unless it can be totally removed by surgery. 00:11:35.62\00:11:38.44 Nor is there any cure at the present time, 00:11:38.47\00:11:41.84 except for transplanting of a pancreas, or some eyelet cells 00:11:41.87\00:11:46.58 into the pancreas, of diabetes type 1. 00:11:46.61\00:11:50.05 But just so that I can report a case that was cured, 00:11:50.08\00:11:55.21 at least for a time, or controlled, I can't say cured, 00:11:55.24\00:11:59.13 but was controlled. 00:11:59.16\00:12:00.31 We had a man who was a psychologist, who came to 00:12:00.34\00:12:04.07 Uchee Pines, with type 1 diabetes, 00:12:04.10\00:12:07.18 he really was highly motivated, 00:12:07.21\00:12:10.25 to get his diabetes under control so that he would not 00:12:10.46\00:12:15.09 have to have insulin. 00:12:15.12\00:12:16.40 Normally we expect that a type 1 diabetic, 00:12:16.43\00:12:20.31 will never get off insulin. 00:12:20.34\00:12:21.80 We so informed him, that so far as we knew, no known case, 00:12:21.83\00:12:28.07 and we didn't expectation that he would be successful. 00:12:28.10\00:12:33.15 We sailed right into a treatment for him, suppressing the thyroid 00:12:33.18\00:12:38.61 and trying to make his other hormones also be quite low, 00:12:38.64\00:12:43.10 so we gave him three heads of cabbage every day, 00:12:43.13\00:12:48.63 and two heads of lettuce, now that was to suppress 00:12:48.66\00:12:51.71 the functioning of the thyroid. 00:12:51.74\00:12:53.30 We also gave a lot of walking, he walked 8-12 miles every day, 00:12:53.33\00:13:00.14 and sometimes 15 or 18 miles a day. 00:13:00.17\00:13:04.02 He spent most of the day in walking, or jogging. 00:13:04.05\00:13:09.30 At the end of about three weeks, we had continued 00:13:09.33\00:13:15.00 to take him down, until by the end of the three weeks, 00:13:15.03\00:13:18.56 we had him down to one unit of insulin per day. 00:13:18.59\00:13:24.00 We asked him if he wished to continue, he said "yes" 00:13:24.03\00:13:27.58 he wanted to try to go off insulin totally. 00:13:27.61\00:13:30.80 The next day, continuing this same very active program, 00:13:30.83\00:13:34.52 eating all this cabbage and all this lettuce every day, 00:13:34.55\00:13:37.79 we got him off insulin, and he went about a week 00:13:37.83\00:13:42.83 without insulin at all, keeping up with that program. 00:13:42.86\00:13:47.41 But one day he said, I can't maintain this program, 00:13:47.45\00:13:52.86 I've got to go home and work again, I'm not a wealthy man, 00:13:52.89\00:13:56.57 and I can't afford this kind of routine. 00:13:56.60\00:14:01.70 So we said let's continue with a little bit of insulin, 00:14:01.73\00:14:06.40 but just so that you can see through natural means, 00:14:06.43\00:14:11.00 diet, and exercise, he ate some other things besides lettuce 00:14:11.03\00:14:15.25 and cabbage, but, that was the thing 00:14:15.28\00:14:17.48 that we felt had suppressed 00:14:17.51\00:14:19.12 the thyroid sufficiently, so that his need for insulin 00:14:19.26\00:14:22.55 was maybe not so great. 00:14:22.58\00:14:24.36 We had another man who was from Ohio, who had incipient gangrene 00:14:24.39\00:14:33.16 in both feet. 00:14:33.19\00:14:34.76 On one side he had big blisters on the ankle and all along 00:14:34.79\00:14:39.76 the sides of the feet, and on the other side, 00:14:39.79\00:14:42.09 on the top of the foot, and around and behind, 00:14:42.12\00:14:44.25 he had large blisters from poor circulation, 00:14:44.28\00:14:49.09 the skin was simply dying. 00:14:49.12\00:14:50.64 His surgeon had told him, when he suggested that he take off 00:14:50.67\00:14:56.05 both his legs, his surgeon had told him, well if you won't, 00:14:56.08\00:15:01.25 take the surgery now, just go home and wait 00:15:01.28\00:15:05.53 until the gangrene is bad enough, and then come back 00:15:05.56\00:15:08.78 and I will take off your legs at that time. 00:15:08.81\00:15:11.83 Well about that time he decided that he would try to get 00:15:11.86\00:15:16.96 his severe type 1 and type 2 diabetes under control. 00:15:16.99\00:15:22.47 He had both of these mingled, he was quite overweight, 00:15:22.50\00:15:27.69 and he decided he would come to Uchee Pines, 00:15:27.72\00:15:29.84 and see if we could help him to get his diabetes under control, 00:15:29.87\00:15:33.09 and to do anything for his poor legs. 00:15:33.12\00:15:36.13 We did some rather unconventional thing for him, 00:15:36.16\00:15:40.70 we gave him charcoal soaks, of his legs, all the way up to 00:15:40.73\00:15:46.22 the knees in slightly warm water, of course for a diabetic, 00:15:46.25\00:15:50.76 you never give them a hot water soak, because the circulation 00:15:50.79\00:15:55.53 is not adequate to take care of the increased metabolism 00:15:55.56\00:15:59.75 that comes with increasing the temperature in the legs. 00:15:59.78\00:16:03.33 So, we gave him these warm charcoal baths to his feet, 00:16:03.36\00:16:08.56 several per day. 00:16:08.59\00:16:10.90 We give him one in the early morning, one midday, and 00:16:10.93\00:16:14.53 one in the late afternoon. 00:16:14.56\00:16:16.36 In between times, we gave him walking. 00:16:16.39\00:16:20.06 Well he had another problem, if he walked a little way, 00:16:20.09\00:16:23.55 he would get to the place where his legs hurt so badly, 00:16:23.58\00:16:27.24 that he couldn't take another step, at that point, 00:16:27.27\00:16:30.68 he would either sit down, or he would stop walking, 00:16:30.71\00:16:34.12 until the circulation caught up again with the needs 00:16:34.15\00:16:39.99 that his legs had, for continuing to contract 00:16:40.02\00:16:42.23 the muscles. 00:16:42.26\00:16:43.48 His wife would walk with him, and she would look around 00:16:43.51\00:16:47.21 at the flowers, or listen to the birds, while he rested his legs, 00:16:47.24\00:16:51.44 and got ready to walk again. 00:16:51.47\00:16:53.56 Little by little, we could see that the blisters were improving 00:16:53.59\00:16:59.84 they were getting smaller, the areas where the blisters 00:16:59.87\00:17:03.35 had actually ruptured, those were getting smaller 00:17:03.38\00:17:05.99 they seemed to be improving quite a great deal, we 00:17:06.02\00:17:09.21 gave him a type 1 diabetic diet, which is totally vegetarian, 00:17:09.24\00:17:16.14 with no animal products of any kind, an no sugars, 00:17:16.17\00:17:21.62 and no free fats, he did very well on the diet, he enjoyed it 00:17:21.65\00:17:26.34 from the start. 00:17:26.37\00:17:27.34 We stopped his smoking, he was smoking over a pack a day, 00:17:27.35\00:17:31.92 that stopped on the very first day, and little by little 00:17:31.95\00:17:36.58 he began to improve. 00:17:36.61\00:17:38.12 To make a long story short, they were with us for about 00:17:38.15\00:17:41.44 two months or maybe three months, his incipient gangrene 00:17:41.47\00:17:44.93 had completely healed, and he was walking quite nicely 00:17:44.96\00:17:48.75 without the severe pain that he had, had for so many months 00:17:48.78\00:17:53.04 before he even came to Uchee Pines. 00:17:53.07\00:17:55.42 I wish I could tell you that he did well, 00:17:55.45\00:17:58.42 he went many more years without having any problem, 00:17:58.45\00:18:03.17 with his legs, unfortunately, within six months he 00:18:03.20\00:18:07.23 was smoking again, when he went back home. 00:18:07.26\00:18:09.09 We were very disappointed, his wife called us just in tears, 00:18:09.12\00:18:13.23 can you please talk with my husband, and help him 00:18:13.26\00:18:16.17 not to smoke these cigarettes. 00:18:16.20\00:18:17.65 I talked with him but he said, you know I'm just hooked 00:18:17.68\00:18:20.60 with these things, and my legs are really doing quite well, 00:18:20.63\00:18:23.22 so he continued his smoking, but it wasn't long before he 00:18:23.25\00:18:27.07 made some other indulgences, and his gangrene came back, 00:18:27.10\00:18:30.47 and he did finally lose his two legs. 00:18:30.50\00:18:33.39 But at any rate this is a good success story, if the man 00:18:33.42\00:18:39.29 had only maintained his program. 00:18:39.32\00:18:41.08 I've given you some programs that failed, because the person 00:18:41.11\00:18:47.23 was not disciplined enough to stay on the program, 00:18:47.26\00:18:50.12 Or something happened, making it so they didn't want to stay 00:18:50.15\00:18:53.92 on the program any longer and they had a remission 00:18:53.95\00:18:57.46 of their disease. 00:18:57.49\00:18:58.90 Now I would like to tell you one that has gone now, 00:18:58.93\00:19:02.11 almost 40 years from the time we began the treatment, 00:19:02.14\00:19:05.94 to the present. 00:19:05.97\00:19:07.34 This was a woman with ulcerative colitis, she had 00:19:07.37\00:19:11.36 really quite severe ulcerative colitis, she would have up to 00:19:11.39\00:19:14.80 25 bowel movements every day. 00:19:14.83\00:19:17.96 She was the sole support for her two young girls, 00:19:17.99\00:19:21.32 and had to work, but her disease interferes so much 00:19:21.35\00:19:26.61 with her working, that she was beginning to feel a little 00:19:26.64\00:19:31.66 embarrassed with her employer, 00:19:31.69\00:19:34.45 having to be so frequently in the bathroom. 00:19:34.48\00:19:37.89 What we did was very simple, we gave her some hydrotherapy, 00:19:37.92\00:19:43.71 some heat treatments, followed by massage. 00:19:43.74\00:19:46.86 This happened three times a week at a minimum, 00:19:46.89\00:19:51.13 and sometimes five times a week. 00:19:51.16\00:19:53.55 The hot baths we continued for a series of 15, 00:19:53.58\00:19:57.96 and then started doing them once a week, followed by a massage. 00:19:57.99\00:20:01.88 Right away we were rewarded by her having fewer bowel movements 00:20:01.91\00:20:06.34 they got down to less than 20, then less than 15, 00:20:06.37\00:20:11.01 less than 10, she was making major dietary changes 00:20:11.04\00:20:15.13 at the same time. 00:20:15.16\00:20:17.55 She became a total vegetarian using no animal products, 00:20:17.58\00:20:22.60 of any kind, and no refined food products of any kind. 00:20:22.63\00:20:27.06 A high fiber diet, she took even some pectin, apple pectin, 00:20:27.09\00:20:32.26 separately in addition to the high fiber diet, 00:20:32.29\00:20:35.78 and eventually all the bloody stools that she had been having 00:20:35.81\00:20:39.72 all the frequency of stools that she had been having, 00:20:39.75\00:20:42.43 had gone away, at most she had 00:20:42.46\00:20:45.74 gotten down to three or four bowel movements a day. 00:20:45.77\00:20:48.86 Now this lady has maintained this, 00:20:48.89\00:20:52.52 she is now in her late 60's 00:20:52.55\00:20:54.74 and she is entirely well and has been for these nearly 40 years. 00:20:54.78\00:20:59.82 This is a good success story, bolstered by the fact 00:20:59.85\00:21:04.59 that she managed to stay on the treatment all that time. 00:21:04.62\00:21:09.01 Another one is a young man from Tennessee, 00:21:09.04\00:21:13.21 who came to Uchee Pines carrying a Kleenex under his arm 00:21:13.24\00:21:18.27 and having the thing that we have begun to call 00:21:18.30\00:21:22.23 the allergic salute, it is this kind of thing, 00:21:22.26\00:21:25.80 where they rub the nose like this, 00:21:25.83\00:21:28.32 that's the allergic salute, he had that. 00:21:28.35\00:21:31.40 And he also had this kind of salute, which is sort of a 00:21:31.43\00:21:35.08 Heil Hitler type of salute, he had both of those. 00:21:35.11\00:21:38.87 He was so severely allergic to so many things, 00:21:38.90\00:21:43.42 that he always carried a box of Kleenex around with him 00:21:43.45\00:21:46.91 all the time, he had Allergic Rhinitis. 00:21:46.94\00:21:49.80 When he got to Uchee Pines he began to eat our typical 00:21:49.83\00:21:54.42 Uchee Pines diet, which is totally vegetarian, 00:21:54.45\00:21:57.55 without any animal products. 00:21:57.58\00:21:59.07 This young man was with us only about six months, 00:21:59.10\00:22:04.65 before he was not carrying a box of Kleenex 00:22:04.68\00:22:07.67 with him all the time. 00:22:07.70\00:22:08.67 I inquired about that, I said what are you doing 00:22:08.68\00:22:12.37 that's different? 00:22:12.40\00:22:13.37 He said nothing really, I'm only eating the diet 00:22:13.38\00:22:16.79 and being very careful with it, I also eliminated all sugar 00:22:16.82\00:22:20.36 from my diet, so that I don't have that anymore. 00:22:20.39\00:22:23.13 He was so thrilled that the fact that he was not having 00:22:23.16\00:22:28.11 to carry the Kleenex around with him anymore, that he shared 00:22:28.14\00:22:33.00 with me this little fear that he had, that when the fall came, 00:22:33.03\00:22:38.24 and we went through the ragweed season, he was quite certain 00:22:38.27\00:22:43.09 that he was going to have to start carrying the Kleenex 00:22:43.12\00:22:45.40 with him again. 00:22:45.43\00:22:46.53 Well, the interesting thing is that the ragweed season came, 00:22:46.56\00:22:51.22 and went, and he did not have to back to the Kleenex. 00:22:51.25\00:22:54.81 We find this frequently, in people, when they find 00:22:54.84\00:22:59.51 one thing, maybe it's diet, causing their allergic rhinitis, 00:22:59.54\00:23:04.91 they may go through all sorts of seasons, spring, 00:23:04.94\00:23:11.01 if they are allergic to the pollens of the spring, or 00:23:11.04\00:23:13.83 summer, if they are allergic to the pollens of the summer, 00:23:13.86\00:23:16.92 or all the fall pollens that come, that make it so difficult 00:23:16.95\00:23:22.51 for people to live through the fall. 00:23:22.54\00:23:24.75 If the person will control one thing that they are allergic to 00:23:24.78\00:23:29.69 most of the time people who have some kind of allergy to an 00:23:29.72\00:23:35.19 airborne pollutant, will also have many food sensitivities. 00:23:35.22\00:23:39.02 Milk is the commonest one, we find that milk gives people 00:23:39.05\00:23:42.67 a lot of disability, so we try very much to get people 00:23:42.70\00:23:47.58 off of milk, if they have any kind of allergy. 00:23:47.61\00:23:50.40 I will say about this man, it's been about 15 years since he 00:23:50.43\00:23:57.25 was at Uchee Pines, and he still has no allergies. 00:23:57.28\00:24:00.61 Another patient I would like to tell you about, 00:24:00.64\00:24:02.97 is one, a 70 year old man, 70+ who came to us with Parkinson's 00:24:03.00\00:24:09.07 Disease, he'd only had it for about a year, 00:24:09.10\00:24:11.78 but he was already taking quite a large number of medications 00:24:11.81\00:24:15.65 for it, he had gotten so he was depressed, and for the last 00:24:15.68\00:24:19.95 several months he had not been able to write 00:24:19.98\00:24:22.19 his checks for his bills, he had no interest in going to church, 00:24:22.22\00:24:26.70 which for this man was very unusual, because was an officer 00:24:26.73\00:24:31.57 in his church, and was always a very faithful church goer. 00:24:31.60\00:24:35.69 When he came to Uchee Pines, his wife brought him, 00:24:35.72\00:24:39.72 and he said I don't know why I'm here, I know that I can't 00:24:39.75\00:24:43.57 get any better, I've got this dreadful disease, 00:24:43.60\00:24:45.75 it's Parkinson's you know, and there's no better for that 00:24:45.78\00:24:49.39 and so I'm just expecting that it will just take me 00:24:49.42\00:24:52.86 down to my grave. 00:24:52.89\00:24:54.65 Well we started working with him, we gave him a good 00:24:54.68\00:24:57.32 vegetarian diet, which he had not been having, 00:24:57.35\00:25:00.32 and we started treating with some herbal anti-hypertension 00:25:00.35\00:25:07.27 medications for his hypertension, we gave him some 00:25:07.30\00:25:11.09 herbal remedies for his sleepless nights, 00:25:11.12\00:25:15.50 and we also gave him fava beans and CoQ10 for his Parkinson's 00:25:15.53\00:25:21.45 disease. 00:25:21.48\00:25:22.70 Now fava beans have eldopa in them, so we suggested to him 00:25:22.73\00:25:28.47 that he might like to leave off his eldopa, after he had been 00:25:28.50\00:25:31.68 on the fava beans for a few days. 00:25:31.71\00:25:33.27 He also could not walk very far, it was difficult for him to get 00:25:33.30\00:25:37.88 started walking, it was difficult for him 00:25:37.91\00:25:39.77 to get out of a chair, and he could walk only halfway up 00:25:39.80\00:25:43.77 Uchee hill before he had to stop and rest a bit, 00:25:43.80\00:25:47.32 and then turn around and come back. 00:25:47.35\00:25:49.07 After about three days on the fava beans, 00:25:49.10\00:25:54.04 he decided that he would leave off the eldopa, 00:25:54.07\00:25:57.76 right away he was able to go all the way up the hill, 00:25:57.79\00:26:01.57 and before he left at three weeks, he was walking 00:26:01.60\00:26:05.49 all the way around the circle at Uchee Pines and enjoying 00:26:05.52\00:26:09.51 the walk very much. 00:26:09.54\00:26:11.45 He is not yet cured of his Parkinson's, but you can believe 00:26:11.48\00:26:16.34 that when he got back home, he was very eager to keep on the 00:26:16.37\00:26:20.07 very same program that he had learned at Uchee Pines. 00:26:20.10\00:26:22.92 He is now an avid exercise person, whereas before he came 00:26:22.95\00:26:28.73 to Uchee Pines, he wouldn't even get out of his house, 00:26:28.76\00:26:31.20 much less walk, he was very much house bound 00:26:31.23\00:26:36.80 and now he not only walks on the level, but he walks up the hill 00:26:36.83\00:26:41.96 next to his house, even in the rough ground. 00:26:41.99\00:26:46.32 A very good success story with Parkinson's Disease. 00:26:46.35\00:26:50.48 Not all Parkinson's Disease will behave in this way, but 00:26:50.51\00:26:54.74 we believe that enough people with exercise, a proper diet, 00:26:54.77\00:26:58.20 the fava beans, or some other kind of bean that is very high 00:26:58.23\00:27:02.27 in eldopa, such as velvet beans, that these can make it so that 00:27:02.30\00:27:08.22 a person with Parkinson's, can indeed be maintained without 00:27:08.25\00:27:13.45 the medication, and in this man's case, this 70+ year old 00:27:13.48\00:27:18.16 man, he was able also to do without his sleep medication 00:27:18.19\00:27:21.70 and without his medication for his blood pressure. 00:27:21.73\00:27:27.37 Now it's several months since he was at Uchee Pines, 00:27:27.40\00:27:30.49 and he is just doing wonderfully, he calls us 00:27:30.52\00:27:33.69 from time to time, talks much better, moves around much better 00:27:33.72\00:27:37.96 and is going to church again. 00:27:37.99\00:27:40.50 We believe that the Lord has provided for us in nature, 00:27:40.53\00:27:46.09 the ways to handle all kinds of diseases, we just wish 00:27:46.12\00:27:50.59 that we knew them all, and that they had all been 00:27:50.62\00:27:53.12 discovered by now, but maybe the Lord will give us that 00:27:53.15\00:27:55.87 blessing soon. 00:27:55.90\00:27:56.87
