Him king, they didn't have
the foggiest idea that He was

disciples weren't really clear.

The reason is very simple.

The dates in Messiah's
calendar are set in stone.

They were established
before Jesus came to this earth.

to compare two great events.

So let's begin, first of all, by
discussing the triumphal entry.

Now did the Bible have specific
prophecies about the kind of

Jesus was going to be?

for misunderstanding,

clear what kind of Messiah

Furthermore, did Jesus
warn the disciples that He was

and He was going to die

and resurrect the third
day on repeated occasions

during His ministry?

He most certainly did.

Let's notice one of those.

destroy the Romans and set up

His kingdom on earth
and put the Jews at the apex

of the world.

So we find that
they misunderstood

Bible prophecy.

Now let's talk a little
bit about the triumphal entry

of Jesus into Jerusalem.

The triumphal entry had
a very specific purpose.

He was going to do in Jerusalem.

what He was going to do.

all eyes to be focused on Him.

what kind of king He was

bitterly disappointed

How could Jesus
be party to this?

The fact is that
Jesus was not to blame.

Because Bible prophecy
pointed to the fact that

that He was going to die.

because what He was going to do

on the cross needed
to be greatly publicized.

All eyes needed to
be focused on Jesus.

something supremely important.

And Jesus chose a
special time to die.

come from all over the empire

to Jerusalem.

So there were
people, there were Jews from

all nations on the earth.

We know this because
on the day of Pentecost

there were all sorts
of nationalities there.

They were all Jews, but
they lived in the diaspora,

or in the dispersion.

And so Jesus said,
"My death will be perfect

during the Passover,

from all over the world.

And eventually
they will go back.
