the story of when Absalom tried

to seize control of the kingdom
from his father, King David,

and as David fled the city and
was crossing over Jordan, a man

named Shimei had come out
and cursed David and mocked him.

But Absalom was defeated and
David has returned to power, and

now David is coming back across
the Jordan and Shimei has come
00:00:44.40\00:00:48.52
to try to make up for his great
transgression in mocking and

cursing at the King earlier.
We're going to pick up the story
