the throne from his father,

king David. And king David
had fled the city. But still

in the city, there are two
priests, Abiathar, and Zadok,

who are sympathetic to king
David, and as David is on his

flight, he meets another friend
of his, Hushai the Archite.

And David asks Hushai also
to go back into the city and

ingratiate himself into
Absalom's court to sort of be a

counterbalance to the council
that Absalom is receiving from
