been appointed the first king

have come against Israel.

So the people have come together
and they're very scared,

and they're waiting for
Samuel the prophet to arrive,

but he doesn't arrive at
the time that they're expecting

and so Saul takes it
upon himself to offer a burnt

offering to the Lord. And
then pretty much as soon as the

offering is finished,
Samuel arrives and says to Saul,

we're going to pick up the story
