Hi, and welcome back to His Words Are Life. 00:00:15.12\00:00:17.62 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and thank you for coming apart with me to read 00:00:17.65\00:00:20.55 God's word together. 00:00:20.58\00:00:21.55 We've been reading in Exodus and Leviticus about the sanctuary 00:00:21.56\00:00:26.53 service, and the sacrifices that God laid out for the children 00:00:26.56\00:00:30.21 of Israel so many thousands of years ago. 00:00:30.24\00:00:33.10 One of the things that we were reading yesterday that 00:00:33.13\00:00:37.28 sort of jumped out at me was how even in the most minute 00:00:37.31\00:00:40.89 details, over and over it says Moses did as the Lord commanded. 00:00:40.92\00:00:44.90 So God gave a lot of very small, detailed instructions, 00:00:44.93\00:00:50.84 and all along Moses and the children of Israel, and Aaron, 00:00:50.87\00:00:54.19 it would say, and they did as the Lord commanded. 00:00:54.22\00:00:56.37 Then we read just at the close of yesterday about Nadab 00:00:56.40\00:00:59.71 and Abihu, and how they burned strange fire before the Lord. 00:00:59.74\00:01:03.65 They didn't do as God commanded, and the very awesome and swift 00:01:03.68\00:01:07.63 punishment of death that fell on them. 00:01:07.66\00:01:09.42 I think sometimes it's easy for me, and for all of us, 00:01:09.45\00:01:12.17 to forget that even the littlest things that the Lord commands 00:01:12.20\00:01:15.63 us are to be taken very seriously. 00:01:15.66\00:01:17.81 And through His power, and by His grace we make our prayers of 00:01:17.84\00:01:22.60 sin, forgiveness, and confession to Him and ask for His help 00:01:22.63\00:01:26.66 to obey in even the smallest things. 00:01:26.69\00:01:28.46 Before we keep reading this story, let's pray together. 00:01:28.49\00:01:30.31 Dear Jesus, thank You again for this time to come apart and read 00:01:30.34\00:01:35.64 Your words. 00:01:35.67\00:01:36.64 Please help us to hear them and may they not just be heard, 00:01:36.65\00:01:41.09 but may they take root in our lives. 00:01:41.12\00:01:43.15 May we do them; may we obey better through Your strength 00:01:43.18\00:01:47.26 and by Your power. 00:01:47.29\00:01:48.37 May we follow even the seemly small things that You have 00:01:48.40\00:01:54.29 given us to do. 00:01:54.51\00:01:55.48 May we realize their importance and do all that You command 00:01:55.49\00:01:59.31 to show our love for You. 00:01:59.34\00:02:00.73 We love You so much, and thank You for loving us. 00:02:00.76\00:02:03.60 Amen. 00:02:03.63\00:02:04.60 We're reading again in the book of Leviticus; picking up 00:02:04.61\00:02:07.46 chapter 10, and starting with verse 7. 00:02:07.49\00:02:09.92 This is the King James Version. 00:02:09.95\00:02:11.34 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the 00:02:11.37\00:02:15.29 congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord 00:02:15.32\00:02:18.69 is upon you. 00:02:18.72\00:02:19.69 And they did according to the word of Moses. 00:02:19.70\00:02:22.28 And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying, Do not drink wine 00:02:22.31\00:02:25.68 nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, 00:02:25.71\00:02:28.78 when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, 00:02:28.81\00:02:31.57 lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your 00:02:31.60\00:02:34.63 generations: and that ye may put difference between holy 00:02:34.66\00:02:39.49 and unholy, and between unclean and clean; and that ye may teach 00:02:39.52\00:02:44.42 the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath 00:02:44.45\00:02:47.46 spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. 00:02:47.49\00:02:49.62 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto 00:02:49.65\00:02:53.70 Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering 00:02:53.73\00:02:57.57 that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, 00:02:57.60\00:03:00.40 and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy. 00:03:00.43\00:03:05.36 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, 00:03:05.39\00:03:09.53 and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the Lord 00:03:09.56\00:03:12.93 made by fire: for so I am commanded. 00:03:12.96\00:03:15.97 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean 00:03:16.00\00:03:20.94 place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: 00:03:20.97\00:03:23.68 for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, 00:03:23.71\00:03:26.37 which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings 00:03:26.40\00:03:29.49 of the children of Israel. 00:03:29.52\00:03:30.83 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the 00:03:30.86\00:03:34.43 offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave 00:03:34.46\00:03:38.58 offering before the Lord; and it shall be thine, 00:03:38.61\00:03:41.81 and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; 00:03:41.84\00:03:44.17 as the Lord hath commanded. 00:03:44.20\00:03:46.16 And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, 00:03:46.19\00:03:51.22 and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar 00:03:51.25\00:03:55.20 and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying, 00:03:55.23\00:03:58.07 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, 00:03:58.10\00:04:01.23 seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to 00:04:01.26\00:04:04.67 bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement 00:04:04.70\00:04:07.30 for them before the Lord? 00:04:07.33\00:04:08.35 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy 00:04:08.38\00:04:12.22 place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, 00:04:12.25\00:04:15.08 as I commanded. 00:04:15.11\00:04:16.22 And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they 00:04:16.25\00:04:20.69 offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before 00:04:20.72\00:04:23.20 the Lord; and such things have befallen me: 00:04:23.23\00:04:26.22 and if I had eaten the sin offering today, 00:04:26.25\00:04:28.87 should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord? 00:04:28.90\00:04:31.08 And when Moses heard that, he was content. 00:04:31.11\00:04:34.49 Continuing now in Leviticus chapter 11, and this is the 00:04:34.52\00:04:38.51 King James Version. 00:04:38.54\00:04:39.51 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them, 00:04:39.52\00:04:43.49 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the 00:04:43.52\00:04:46.55 beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts 00:04:46.58\00:04:49.23 that are on the earth. 00:04:49.26\00:04:50.29 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, 00:04:50.32\00:04:54.80 and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 00:04:54.83\00:04:58.86 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, 00:04:58.89\00:05:02.92 or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth 00:05:02.95\00:05:06.19 the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 00:05:06.22\00:05:10.16 And the Coney, because he cheweth the cud, 00:05:10.19\00:05:13.02 but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 00:05:13.05\00:05:15.44 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not 00:05:15.47\00:05:17.97 the hoof; and she shall be cleansed from the issue 00:11:58.13\00:12:01.47 of her blood. 00:12:01.51\00:12:02.48 This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. 00:12:02.49\00:12:07.54 And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two 00:12:07.58\00:12:11.25 turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, 00:12:11.29\00:12:14.93 and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall 00:12:14.97\00:12:17.98 make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean. 00:12:18.01\00:12:20.95 We're continuing in the book of Leviticus with chapter 13, 00:12:20.99\00:12:25.34 and this is the King James Version. 00:12:25.38\00:12:26.76 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, saying, When a man 00:12:26.80\00:12:30.47 shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, 00:12:30.50\00:12:33.32 a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh 00:12:33.36\00:12:36.50 like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto 00:12:36.53\00:12:39.62 Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests: 00:12:39.65\00:12:42.67 And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: 00:12:42.71\00:12:45.33 and when the hair in the plague is turned white, 00:12:45.36\00:12:48.17 and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his 00:12:48.21\00:12:51.80 flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall 00:12:51.84\00:12:55.40 look on him, and pronounce him unclean. 00:12:55.43\00:12:58.34 If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, 00:12:58.38\00:13:02.46 and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof 00:13:02.50\00:13:06.44 be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that 00:13:06.48\00:13:10.32 hath the plague seven days: and the priest shall look on him 00:13:10.35\00:13:14.16 the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight 00:13:14.19\00:13:17.29 be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; 00:13:17.33\00:13:20.38 then the priest shall shut him up seven days more: 00:13:20.42\00:13:23.41 and the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: 00:13:23.44\00:13:26.38 and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague 00:13:26.42\00:13:29.32 spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him 00:13:29.36\00:13:32.65 clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, 00:13:32.69\00:13:35.95 and be clean. 00:13:35.98\00:13:36.95 But if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, 00:13:36.96\00:13:40.40 after that he hath been seen of the priest for his cleansing, 00:13:40.44\00:13:44.13 he shall be seen of the priest again: and if the priest see 00:13:44.16\00:13:47.82 that, behold, the scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest 00:13:47.85\00:13:51.45 shall pronounce him unclean: it is a leprosy. 00:13:51.48\00:13:54.42 When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought 00:13:54.45\00:13:59.60 unto the priest; and the priest shall see him: and, behold, 00:13:59.64\00:14:02.39 if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the 00:14:02.42\00:14:05.82 hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising; 00:14:05.85\00:14:09.18 it is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest 00:14:09.22\00:14:12.60 shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: 00:14:12.63\00:14:14.99 for he is unclean. 00:14:15.02\00:14:16.53 And if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, 00:14:16.56\00:14:19.34 and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the plague 00:14:19.38\00:14:22.26 from his head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest looketh; 00:14:22.30\00:14:25.54 then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have 00:14:25.57\00:14:28.96 covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath 00:14:28.99\00:14:32.34 the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean. 00:14:32.38\00:14:35.62 But when raw flesh appeareth in him, he shall be unclean. 00:14:35.66\00:14:39.29
