God brought Israel out of Egypt.

He spoke from heaven to Moses

instruction in verse 8,

make Me a sanctuary,

And so the Israelites

This tabernacle, this structure
that they took with them

The sanctuary that

and the blood being shed,

ultimately it
represented the coming Messiah,

the coming of Jesus Christ

who would be the real sacrifice,

the real lamb of God

the sin of the world.

what was happening

and then the knife
and killing the animal

represented Calvary
where Jesus Christ would die

for the sins of the world,

where we have
broken the law of God.

Now, then what
happened was the priest

would have a
little, a little basin

and he put the basin

underneath the
neck of the animal

and the blood
would drip into the basin

the basin full of blood

there was a special day

the day of at-one-ment

to be completely removed

That day was a
very, very special day,

it was a sacred
day, it was a holy day

and the Israelites had
to get ready for that day,

were supposed to be
cleansed from the sin

during the ritual service.

Ten days before
the Day of Atonement

which fell upon,

that, there was a special day

blowing of the trumpets.

blow these horns very loudly

to alert the Israelite people

that the Day of
Atonement was coming,

the big day was coming

and they needed to
search their hearts,

there were a number of things,

most important acts

not just the normal
priest but the high priest,

he would take an animal,

would kill that animal

would catch the blood

and he would take it
not just into the holy place

which is what the
regular priest did every day,

but he would now go

he would go into the
most holy place into the room

where the Shekinah was,

where the presence

And in order for
the priest to do that,

spiritual preparation

tradition that says

would put a some kind of a rope

so that if he
wasn't spiritually prepared

when he walked
into the most holy place

on the Day of Atonement
into the presence of God,

and if he got

Now, on the Day of

shall he sprinkle of the blood

Seven is God's perfect number

and putting the blood on top
of the mercy seat seven times,

represented a
special form of cleansing.

And in verse 19,

it tells us that the cleansing
had to do with the cleansing

first of all of
the sanctuary itself,

because the sin was going
from the person to the animal,

into the blood through
the priest carrying it in

and then being
deposited in the sanctuary

that represented the
sanctuary being defiled

and that sin and
defilement needed to be removed

which happened on
the Day of Atonement.

Verse 19 says,
"He shall sprinkle

some of the blood upon it
with his finger seven times,

and he will cleanse it."

So the cleansing had to do
first of all with the building,

he would
"cleanse it and hallow it

from the uncleanness of
the children of Israel."

But if you go down to verse 30,

it tells us
that on the tenth day

So the Day of
Atonement was a special day

to cleanse not
just the sanctuary

but the people themselves
from all of their sins

What happened
was all of those sins

were represented as being
picked up from the sanctuary

and then they were deposited
upon the head of a goat,

a live goat
representing the Satan

and that live
goat wasn't sacrificed,

because it
didn't represent Jesus

but it represented the
devil and the priest would then,

the high priest
would take those sins,

put them on the head of the goat

and the goat would be led
out into the wilderness to die.

And so, you have really
the whole plan of salvation

And the heart of it had to do

if they refused to
humble their hearts

to do with Bible Prophecy,

with the longest
prophecy in the Bible?

Well, we'll find out.

Let's turn to
the Book of Daniel.

Daniel is a
counterpart to Revelation.
00:15:57.65\00:16:00.72
Daniel is really the
revelation of the Old Testament
00:16:00.76\00:16:03.89
that works
together and fits together
00:16:03.93\00:16:07.50
with the Book of
Revelation in the new.
00:16:07.53\00:16:09.66
Daniel's book
contains many prophecies
00:16:09.70\00:16:12.00
that Daniel Chapter 8 contains
00:16:12.03\00:16:13.74
a very amazing
series of revelations
00:16:13.77\00:16:18.81
concerning a ram and
a goat and then a horn,
00:16:18.84\00:16:23.65
and then
finally, there is a vision
00:16:23.68\00:16:25.45
concerning the
cleansing of the sanctuary.
00:16:25.48\00:16:28.92
In Daniel 8:14, this
is what the Bible says,
00:16:28.95\00:16:35.76
"The angel said to
Daniel, he said unto me,
00:16:35.79\00:16:38.59
Unto two thousand
and three hundred days,"
00:16:38.63\00:16:43.77
here's the 2300 day prophecy,
00:16:43.80\00:16:47.80
"then shall the
sanctuary be cleansed."
00:16:47.84\00:16:52.24
So we read in the Old Testament
00:16:52.27\00:16:54.34
about the year
of the Jewish people
00:16:54.38\00:16:57.28
what happened
during the regular service,
00:16:57.31\00:16:59.41
what happened during
the Day of Atonement,
00:16:59.45\00:17:01.25
when the sanctuary
was to be cleansed,
00:17:01.28\00:17:03.32
cleansed which
represented the Day of Judgment
00:17:03.35\00:17:05.35
and the separation of
sin from the people of God.
00:17:05.39\00:17:08.69
So they could line up
with the Ten Commandments
00:17:08.72\00:17:11.43
as a result of the blood.
00:17:11.46\00:17:13.53
And all of this
has deep significance.

When we go to Daniel,
00:17:16.50\00:17:17.87
there's a
prophecy in Daniel 8:14,
00:17:17.90\00:17:20.84
that there would be some
kind of a 2300 day period
00:17:20.87\00:17:24.71
and then the
sanctuary would be cleansed.
00:17:24.74\00:17:28.34
There'd be a
cleansing of the sanctuary,
00:17:28.38\00:17:30.55
again that's
connected to biblical prophecy.
00:17:30.58\00:17:33.72
Now, in verse 15,
00:17:33.75\00:17:35.08
what happens is Daniel
is trying to figure out
00:17:35.12\00:17:38.05
what this vision is all about,
00:17:38.09\00:17:39.42
what this cleansing of
the sanctuary is all about.

In verse 15 it says,
"It came to pass when I,
00:17:41.69\00:17:44.43
even I Daniel,
had seen this vision,"
00:17:44.46\00:17:46.76
I was searching for the meaning
00:17:46.80\00:17:49.03
which is something
that we need to be doing,
00:17:49.06\00:17:50.87
searching for the meaning,
00:17:50.90\00:17:52.23
"and then, behold,
there stood before me
00:17:52.27\00:17:54.37
like the appearance of a man."
00:17:54.40\00:17:56.20
As Daniel was
trying to figure this out,
00:17:56.24\00:17:57.91
all of a sudden this
being stood in front of him
00:17:57.94\00:18:00.64
which look like a man,
but when you keep reading,
00:18:00.68\00:18:02.91
you find out that it was
actually the angel Gabriel,
00:18:02.94\00:18:06.11
"And then I heard a
man's voice Daniel said
00:18:06.15\00:18:07.75
between the banks of
the Ulai, which was a river
00:18:07.78\00:18:10.19
where he saw this
vision and the voice called
00:18:10.22\00:18:13.49
and said to this being
standing in front of Daniel,
00:18:13.52\00:18:16.29
the voice said, "Gabriel,
00:18:16.32\00:18:18.33
make this man to
understand the vision."
00:18:18.36\00:18:22.36
So Gabriel is commissioned
00:18:22.40\00:18:24.77
to go to Daniel and
help him understand.
00:18:24.80\00:18:27.84
And verse 17
says, "So he came near,
00:18:27.87\00:18:30.54
Daniel is
describing this, where I stood:
00:18:30.57\00:18:33.11
and when he came, I was
afraid, and I fell upon my face:
00:18:33.14\00:18:38.55
but he said unto me,
Understand, O son of man:
00:18:38.58\00:18:43.12
for at the time of the
end shall be the vision."
00:18:43.15\00:18:49.19
Now, this is very significant.
00:18:49.22\00:18:51.59
Here you have
Daniel has this vision
00:18:51.63\00:18:53.63
and part of the vision
has to do with 2300 days
00:18:53.66\00:18:56.30
and then the sanctuary
is going to be cleansed,
00:18:56.33\00:18:58.30
and then Gabriel is
commissioned to go to Daniel
00:18:58.33\00:19:01.84
and help him to
understand and Gabriel says,
00:19:01.87\00:19:05.34
"Understand, for
the time of the end
00:19:05.37\00:19:08.64
shall be the vision."
00:19:08.68\00:19:10.11
So this prophecy about
the cleansing of the sanctuary
00:19:10.15\00:19:13.25
is not just for ancient Israel.
00:19:13.28\00:19:15.35
It's not just for
an ancient people,
00:19:15.38\00:19:16.95
it's not just for
Daniel a long time ago.
00:19:16.99\00:19:19.25
It's a prophecy that has to
do with the time of the end,
00:19:19.29\00:19:22.42
and I believe that we
are living in that time.
00:19:22.46\00:19:25.03
It's a prophecy that has
to do with you and with me.
00:19:25.06\00:19:29.23
Now, not only that but
Gabriel is commissioned
00:19:29.26\00:19:33.37
to help Daniel
understand this prophecy
00:19:33.40\00:19:36.07
and Gabriel is
not a minor angel.
00:19:36.10\00:19:39.44
Gabriel's name is only used
a couple times in the Bible.
00:19:39.47\00:19:42.54
He's used in
connection with the prophecy
00:19:42.58\00:19:45.11
of the 2300 days in
Daniel 8 and also in Daniel 9
00:19:45.15\00:19:49.55
which we'll study
about in part two,
00:19:49.58\00:19:51.15
they're connected.
00:19:51.19\00:19:52.75
And then Gabriel
is also mentioned
00:19:52.79\00:19:54.82
in Luke Chapter 1
in the New Testament.
00:19:54.86\00:19:57.26
And when you read Luke 1,
it's amazing to discover that,
00:19:57.29\00:20:01.40
that Gabriel was
actually the angel
00:20:01.43\00:20:04.60
that appeared to an
old priest name Zechariah
00:20:04.63\00:20:08.57
inside the Jewish temple
00:20:08.60\00:20:10.87
and Gabriel
announced to Zechariah,
00:20:10.91\00:20:13.98
that he was going to have a son
00:20:14.01\00:20:17.71
and the name of his son was
going to be John the Baptist,
00:20:17.75\00:20:20.88
John the Baptist.
00:20:20.92\00:20:22.25
So Gabriel doesn't
go on minor missions.
00:20:22.28\00:20:24.62
Gabriel an announced to him
that he was going to have a son
00:20:24.65\00:20:29.16
that would prepare the
way for the Lord in verse 17,
00:20:29.19\00:20:32.93
"The angel said to
Zachariah, he will go before him
00:20:32.96\00:20:36.20
in the spirit
and power of Elias,
00:20:36.23\00:20:38.77
to turn the hearts of
the fathers to the children,
00:20:38.80\00:20:40.84
and the disobedient to
the wisdom of the just,
00:20:40.87\00:20:43.74
to make ready a people
prepared for the Lord."
00:20:43.77\00:20:47.38
So Zechariah son was to get
people ready for Jesus to come.
00:20:47.41\00:20:53.52
And in verse 19,
"Gabriel says, I am Gabriel,
00:20:53.55\00:20:57.99
and I'm standing in
the presence of God,
00:20:58.02\00:21:00.62
and I am now
sent to speak to you,
00:21:00.66\00:21:03.12
and to show you
these good tidings."
00:21:03.16\00:21:05.23
Now, when you turn the page
or at least I do in my Bible.
00:21:05.26\00:21:07.66
It also tells us that
God then sent the same angel
00:21:07.70\00:21:13.03
in verse 26,
00:21:13.07\00:21:14.60
"In the sixth
month the angel Gabriel
00:21:14.64\00:21:17.41
was sent from God
to a city of Galilee,
00:21:17.44\00:21:20.84
named Nazareth,
00:21:20.88\00:21:22.24
Nazareth to a virgin
who was espoused to a man
00:21:22.28\00:21:27.45
whose name was
Joseph, of the house of David,
00:21:27.48\00:21:29.92
and the virgins name was Mary."
00:21:29.95\00:21:32.22
And so it was Gabriel
00:21:32.25\00:21:34.32
that announced the
birth of John the Baptist
00:21:34.36\00:21:36.12
and then it was
Gabriel who told Mary
00:21:36.16\00:21:38.96
that she was
going to have a son.
00:21:38.99\00:21:42.00
And that son was
going to be Jesus Christ.
00:21:42.03\00:21:44.93
So my point is that
whenever Gabriel's name shows up
00:21:44.97\00:21:49.24
we know that it's
very, very important.
00:21:49.27\00:21:52.21
Gabriel never
goes on minor missions
00:21:52.24\00:21:54.91
it's very possible
that I can't prove this,
00:21:54.94\00:21:57.45
but I believe this based
upon my study of the Bible.
00:21:57.48\00:22:01.25
That it's probable
that Gabriel is the angel
00:22:01.28\00:22:05.55
that took the place
of Lucifer when he fell.
00:22:05.59\00:22:08.22
Gabriel His name is in the Bible
00:22:08.26\00:22:11.03
there are generally
names of angels in the Bible
00:22:11.06\00:22:13.60
but Gabriel's name is there
00:22:13.63\00:22:15.53
and we know that
Lucifer's name is there
00:22:15.56\00:22:17.80
he's an angel that
was kicked out of heaven
00:22:17.83\00:22:19.83
he became Satan
00:22:19.87\00:22:21.20
and Gabriel's name is
there and Gabriel said,
00:22:21.24\00:22:22.90
he's standing in
the presence of God.
00:22:22.94\00:22:25.44
And so this tells
me that most likely
00:22:25.47\00:22:27.64
Gabriel took the place
of Lucifer when he fell
00:22:27.68\00:22:30.48
and that Gabriel is now
the highest angel in heaven
00:22:30.51\00:22:33.62
under God.
00:22:33.65\00:22:35.88
And if that's true
again it just speaks to us
00:22:35.92\00:22:41.09
that Gabriel is never
sent on minor missions
00:22:41.12\00:22:44.09
that whenever he
comes down to heaven

to do something on Earth.
00:22:46.86\00:22:48.20
It's always a very,
very, very important.
00:22:48.23\00:22:50.93
So in Luke 1, he announces
the birth of John the Baptist
00:22:50.97\00:22:54.50
and the birth of Jesus Christ.
00:22:54.54\00:22:56.04
And in Daniel Chapter 8,
00:22:56.07\00:22:59.14
it is Gabriel
that was sent by God
00:22:59.17\00:23:03.45
to help Daniel
understand the vision
00:23:03.48\00:23:08.22
about the
cleansing of the sanctuary.
00:23:08.25\00:23:11.55
Let me read this to
you again, Daniel 8:14,
00:23:11.59\00:23:16.83
"He said to me,
00:23:16.86\00:23:18.19
to two thousand
three hundred days,
00:23:18.23\00:23:19.56
then shall the
sanctuary be cleansed."
00:23:19.59\00:23:22.33
Verse 17, Gabriel came to Daniel
00:23:22.36\00:23:26.07
and Gabriel said,
"Understand, O son of man:
00:23:26.10\00:23:32.47
for at the time of the
end shall be the vision."
00:23:32.51\00:23:38.11
So you put these pieces together
00:23:38.15\00:23:39.48
to look at the Old Testament
and the Old Testament tells us
00:23:39.51\00:23:42.68
that in the wilderness Israel
00:23:42.72\00:23:44.35
was supposed to
build a sanctuary
00:23:44.39\00:23:46.49
and in that sanctuary
there was the courtyard
00:23:46.52\00:23:48.72
where the
sacrifices were offered
00:23:48.76\00:23:50.46
there was the holy place,
there was the most holy place,
00:23:50.49\00:23:53.70
the ceremony went
on throughout the year.
00:23:53.73\00:23:56.00
But on the Day of Atonement
00:23:56.03\00:23:57.37
the high priest went
into the most holy place
00:23:57.40\00:23:59.13
with the blood of the sacrifice
00:23:59.17\00:24:01.80
and he sprinkled that
blood on the golden lid
00:24:01.84\00:24:04.87
underneath of which
was the Ten Commandments
00:24:04.91\00:24:08.68
and that represented a
cleansing of the Israelites
00:24:08.71\00:24:11.91
from their sins of
breaking God's law.
00:24:11.95\00:24:15.75
And that history
00:24:15.78\00:24:17.89
is then brought in
to the Book of Daniel
00:24:17.92\00:24:21.16
and Daniel Chapter 8
00:24:21.19\00:24:22.52
one of the most
powerful prophecies in the Bible

which as we'll see in part two
00:24:26.43\00:24:28.03
is really the
longest prophecy in the Bible

the twenty three hundred days,
00:24:31.27\00:24:32.70
which takes us all the way
down to the time of the end

and Gabriel said,
00:24:35.60\00:24:37.31
that Daniel was supposed
to understand this prophecy
00:24:37.34\00:24:41.78
and we're
supposed to understand it
00:24:41.81\00:24:43.68
and ultimately, we will see
00:24:43.71\00:24:45.41
that it points
down to the final days
00:24:45.45\00:24:47.48
where Jesus Christ in
his office as High Priest
00:24:47.52\00:24:54.46
in the heavenly sanctuary
is doing a special work
00:24:54.49\00:24:57.86
to cleanse God's people
once again from their sins
00:24:57.89\00:25:02.16
before he returns
00:25:02.20\00:25:03.77
your sins of
breaking the Ten Commandments.
00:25:03.80\00:25:06.03
And I'll explain more
about this in part two.

But let's just quickly
look at Revelation Chapter 1:5,

it says that, "Jesus loved
us and washed us from our sins

in His own blood."

The heart of Revelation
is the blood of Jesus.
00:25:20.15\00:25:23.25
And in Revelation Chapter 11:19,
00:25:23.28\00:25:28.89
John is taken into
the heavenly temple,

"The temple of God
was opened in heaven,
00:25:31.53\00:25:34.20
and there was seen in his temple
00:25:34.23\00:25:36.23
the ark of his testament:
00:25:36.26\00:25:38.30
and there were lightnings,
and voices, and thunderings,
00:25:38.33\00:25:40.27
and a great
earthquake, and great hail."
00:25:40.30\00:25:43.20
So here we have a
vision into the heavenly temple
00:25:43.24\00:25:45.87
and the ark is seen and
then in Chapter 14:12, John saw,

"Here is the
patience of the saints:
00:25:52.11\00:25:53.98
here are they that keep
the commandments of God,
00:25:54.02\00:25:56.92
and the faith of Jesus."
00:25:56.95\00:25:58.42
Just like in the Old Testament
in the on the Day of Atonement,
00:25:58.45\00:26:01.09
God worked to cleanse
the people from their sins
00:26:01.12\00:26:04.59
of breaking His Law and
in the Book of Revelation.

in the Book of Revelation
00:26:07.20\00:26:08.53
there is a
similar cleansing going on
00:26:08.56\00:26:10.37
in the last days
in the time of the end
00:26:10.40\00:26:12.50
to prepare
people for Jesus coming.

And that cleansing
will result in a people,
00:26:14.97\00:26:18.31
who as the Bible says,
00:26:18.34\00:26:20.41
"Keep the commandments of God
and have the faith of Jesus."
