Is that view
correct, or isn't it?

This whole topic reminds me
of a very interesting article

faithful man of God,

and in verse 23
we have a very clear

inspired explanation as
to what a beast represents

that a beast is,
it's not a computer.

Some people believe the beast

supercomputer in Belgium

these four beasts do
not represent four people.

Pergamon Museum in Germany,

in my travels in Europe.

And they have, in that
museum there is a reconstruction

of what's called
the "Ishtar Gate"

which is the old ancient
gate of the Babylonian empire

and there is a procession way
also that's been reconstructed

from other ruins of Babylon.

And all throughout
that procession way

and on that gate,
there are winged lions,

because a winged lion

Medo-Persian power.

And then Medo-Persia went

that's what dominant view

There is also another
contending interpretive view

which is called
the preterist view.

And preterist
basically believe that

represented Nero,

who viciously waged
war on early Christians

and that's what they think

that the little
horn is long gone,

Now there are two
problems with these views,

one with each view.

The problem with
the futurist view

is that when you
look at the prophecy

in Daniel 7 you've got a lion,

Babylon followed
by the Persian bear,

followed by the leopard Greece,
followed by the Roman Empire,

followed by the 10 horns,
00:13:28.34\00:13:30.57
and then the little
horn comes up among the 10.
00:13:30.61\00:13:33.91
And what the
futurist view basically does

is it goes down
Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome

and then it
cuts off the prophecy

and puts a 1,500 year gap
00:13:42.45\00:13:45.15
from the fall
of the Roman Empire

until the rise
of the little horn.

And yet the
prophecy is sequential.

So that's one big problem.

Now the problem
with the preterist view

is that in their view,
the little horn was Nero,

who came in the first century.

But the sequence of the prophecy

shows the little horn rising

after the 10
horns were in place,

which would mean after
the Roman Empire went down,

and after the 10 horns came up,

which was after the fourth,
fifth and sixth centuries.

So that was long
after the time of Nero.

So Nero just doesn't fit
the sequence of the prophecy.

So there is problems
with the futurist view

don't realize today

view, there is a third view

which used to be the view

historicist view is correct
