what we're gonna look at

responding to their slogans,

But this time we're gonna focus
our attention on another part

of what Paul
says in this passage.

And that is he uses the
phrase, "Don't you know."

Now those words appear,

three times in the passage.

So we want to look at
each of those passages

let's get a little idea.

Well, in the apostle's writings,

many different books by Paul,

so we can compare them.

In his writing, this
type of argumentation

introduces doctrinal ideas

that he believes
every Christian should know.

Or principles of life
that all thinking people

would recognize and acknowledge.

So when he says
"Don't you know,"

what he is actually doing
this referring back to the class

where they learn
to be a Christian.

You know, we would
say the baptismal class,

you might say the
Sabbath school class.

And those experiences,

he's saying, do you remember

what we studied with
you in those lessons.

You know, we should prepare--

Insinuating that
you ought to know.

This is something you
should remember, as a Christian.

Jew would agree to that.

the second coming of Jesus.

knowledge kind of stuff

That is something--

emphasizing that we should know.

know that as a Christian.

a member of our bodies,

an organ of our bodies.

are as Paul is suggesting here,

sleep with that prostitute.
