Myanmar used to be called Burma.

country is very low lying

getting from here to there

of the most devout

Buddhist countries in the world.

And it was my privilege to visit

one of the larger
temples near the seminary.

one of the local villages

visit the village leaders

them about how important

their children is.

This lady is one of
the village leaders,

and also one of
the village elders

was there.

were able to express
their extreme gratitude

can attend the local

children can go to the academy.

These children are very happy

and live a very
peaceful village life.

But still, Myanmar,

poverty is twice as
high on the rural areas.

And some of these
families struggle to survive.

After visiting the village,
we returned to the seminary,

and in this classroom,

five of the
children are from the village

that we had just visited.

Well, when you operate in India,

you start to
understand what trafficking is.

To be honest, it's hard
to comprehend the size of it.

But it's believed that about
20% of the trafficked children
00:06:03.59\00:06:08.26
are in India.
00:06:08.30\00:06:10.13
Obviously, with young
girls in the sex traffic
00:06:10.17\00:06:13.50
and brothels,
00:06:13.54\00:06:14.87
but also with young
boys in beggary operations
00:06:14.90\00:06:18.64
and child labor.

And so, we just feel
we had to be involved,

so we've partnered with a lady

who runs a rescue
operation in Bangalore.

And she actually
goes in and rescue girls,

raids these
brothels and rescue girls.

And to be honest,

it takes a lot of
something to do this,

but she ties them
with the police force

where she can.

of this bustling city,

we walked into this place

and the stench was everywhere,

the thin, frail bodies
of the people who live there

who make $2 a day or less,

truly made an
impression upon me.

But the thing that brought me

a degree of comfort
was visiting that school
