In this episode of Hope in Motion 00:00:01.06\00:00:03.36 field worker Raj Varma seeks out children in need 00:00:03.39\00:00:06.14 in some of the most remote regions of India. 00:00:06.17\00:00:09.83 On one of these trips 00:00:09.86\00:00:11.36 he encounters a man struggling with a tragic past. 00:00:11.39\00:00:16.69 I lost both my parents when I was small, 00:00:16.72\00:00:19.47 at that time my uncle was taking care of me. 00:00:19.50\00:00:22.47 He sold me to people who were into human sacrifice, 00:00:22.50\00:00:25.80 as a sacrifice for the harvest time. 00:00:25.83\00:00:29.83 When Rohini returns home for a visit, 00:00:29.86\00:00:32.26 she teaches her father what she's learned at school. 00:00:32.29\00:00:35.21 I used to go there and tell my father about God. 00:00:35.24\00:00:40.11 Whenever I say he used to tell 00:00:40.14\00:00:42.52 I know about Him, I know about Him 00:00:42.55\00:00:44.01 but he never prays to God. 00:00:44.04\00:00:46.44 So I teach him how to pray in Telugu 00:00:46.47\00:00:49.21 and he learnt and he started believing in God. 00:00:49.24\00:00:53.42 And now he becomes a pastor 00:00:53.45\00:00:55.75 and he was working there in our village as a pastor. 00:00:55.78\00:00:59.62 And the blueprints for the new campus of 00:00:59.65\00:01:01.42 Sunrise Children's Home, finally come to life. 00:01:01.45\00:01:04.72 And now when I saw the happiness of the children 00:01:04.75\00:01:07.90 I also felt very happy 00:01:07.93\00:01:09.62 and even I also need some refreshment to come out 00:01:09.65\00:01:13.03 and play with the children 00:01:13.06\00:01:14.35 and see the happiness of the children. 00:01:14.38\00:01:16.31 India is a land full of contrast. 00:01:25.63\00:01:30.34 Is a land of great mystery and beauty, 00:01:30.37\00:01:33.81 it's a land of unspeakable despair. 00:01:33.84\00:01:37.25 But traveling through India one thing is for sure 00:01:37.28\00:01:40.71 it's a land filled with people 00:01:40.74\00:01:42.35 who should never be underestimated. 00:01:42.38\00:01:45.76 For the last forty years 00:01:45.79\00:01:47.39 Asian Aid has invested in the futures of people, 00:01:47.42\00:01:50.25 who have never been given such a chance 00:01:50.28\00:01:52.58 and their investment has proven infinite returns. 00:01:52.61\00:01:57.07 Driven by the vision of Helen Eager 00:01:57.10\00:01:59.28 dedicated to helping those who have the least 00:01:59.31\00:02:02.10 Asian Aid is an organization 00:02:02.13\00:02:03.73 implementing diverse development projects 00:02:03.76\00:02:06.02 and sponsoring thousands of children. 00:02:06.05\00:02:09.39 Their outreach spans from Bangladesh to Nepal, 00:02:09.42\00:02:12.63 Sri Lanka and beyond, 00:02:12.66\00:02:15.00 from remote villages and empty field 00:02:15.03\00:02:17.55 to sprawling centers of education, 00:02:17.58\00:02:20.15 from nothing to the unimaginable. 00:02:20.18\00:02:23.90 Now Asian Aid decided to document 00:02:23.93\00:02:26.68 the work it has been doing all these years 00:02:26.71\00:02:28.59 with the desire to show the world 00:02:28.62\00:02:30.59 what is possible. 00:02:30.62\00:02:32.12 By digging wells in remote villages 00:02:32.15\00:02:33.88 for clean drinking water 00:02:33.91\00:02:35.75 and bringing much needed healthcare 00:02:35.78\00:02:37.23 to the women of Nepal. 00:02:37.26\00:02:39.76 By providing an education for orphans, deaf 00:02:39.79\00:02:42.24 and blind children giving them a sense a place a home 00:02:42.27\00:02:46.54 but what we really discovered was being given was hope, 00:02:46.57\00:02:50.28 giving hope to children, giving hope to women, 00:02:50.31\00:02:54.78 giving hope to the ones who needed the most. 00:02:54.81\00:02:58.80 This is Hope in Motion. 00:02:58.83\00:03:00.88 The Eastern Ghats of India 00:03:27.66\00:03:29.28 is a discontinuous range of mountains 00:03:29.31\00:03:31.20 running along the east coast. 00:03:31.23\00:03:33.55 Many tribes have indigenous people with ancient cultures 00:03:33.58\00:03:36.33 and customs inhabit this region of the country. 00:03:36.36\00:03:38.79 The people here survive off the land 00:03:45.54\00:03:47.75 hunting and gathering in the forest. 00:03:47.78\00:03:50.18 There is very little infrastructure 00:03:50.21\00:03:51.85 in the way of roads, education and health systems. 00:03:51.88\00:03:55.83 As a result when a child loses one or both of their parents 00:03:55.86\00:04:00.02 their ability to survive 00:04:00.05\00:04:01.48 becomes the responsibility of the village. 00:04:01.51\00:04:05.84 In a place where resources are limited 00:04:05.87\00:04:08.06 many children and adults are malnourished 00:04:08.09\00:04:10.44 and often die from preventable diseases. 00:04:10.47\00:04:12.88 Founded by Lalitha and Raj Verma, 00:04:18.42\00:04:20.83 Sunrise Children's Home has been serving children in need 00:04:20.86\00:04:23.62 from these tribal regions since 2001. 00:04:23.65\00:04:27.90 Asian Aid organization main aim is 00:04:27.93\00:04:30.29 to provide better education for poor and needy children, 00:04:30.32\00:04:33.47 specially for tribals, orphans, blind, 00:04:33.50\00:04:38.44 deaf and dumb and different children. 00:04:38.47\00:04:41.79 In this area I'm a field officer. 00:04:41.82\00:04:45.12 Then I came to know through the government 00:04:45.15\00:04:47.55 that many tribal children are suffering without parents. 00:04:47.58\00:04:51.96 Most of the parents are dying with bad habits 00:04:51.99\00:04:54.52 like alcoholic and other bad habits. 00:04:54.55\00:04:58.88 Most of the children becoming orphans, 00:04:58.91\00:05:01.24 the government recommended me 00:05:01.27\00:05:04.33 to go to the tribal village and survey. 00:05:04.36\00:05:08.24 Raj Varma has been visiting these tribal villages 00:05:08.27\00:05:10.94 as a field worker for Asian Aid for several years now. 00:05:10.97\00:05:14.43 During one of these visits 00:05:14.46\00:05:15.81 he met with the elders at the Pamulu Geesada village 00:05:15.84\00:05:18.58 and told them about the work 00:05:18.61\00:05:19.95 Asian Aid was doing at Sunrise Home. 00:05:19.98\00:05:22.23 He asked the elders if there were any 00:05:22.26\00:05:23.68 children in need in their village. 00:05:23.71\00:05:26.52 At that time my husband he went there 00:05:26.55\00:05:28.93 and he saw the children's condition. 00:05:28.96\00:05:30.92 Some of the children their condition is pathetic. 00:05:30.95\00:05:35.28 So at that time he came and told me 00:05:35.31\00:05:36.96 about the condition of the children. 00:05:36.99\00:05:38.85 Then I told him to bring 00:05:38.88\00:05:40.39 so he went and brought the children. 00:05:40.42\00:05:42.39 And when I saw children, 00:05:42.42\00:05:44.12 I was so scared to see because of the malnutrition, 00:05:44.15\00:05:48.25 because they don't have enough food, 00:05:48.28\00:05:50.48 enough of calories like that their stomach was big 00:05:50.51\00:05:54.52 and their hands and legs are very small thin. 00:05:54.55\00:05:57.71 I met this gentleman and he told his story 00:05:57.74\00:06:02.41 how that girl was suffering without mother. 00:06:02.44\00:06:09.01 My name is Nimmak Nageswar Rao 00:06:09.04\00:06:11.31 and I am from Pamulu Geesada village. 00:06:11.34\00:06:14.09 One day Mr. Varma from Sunrise Home came to my village 00:06:14.12\00:06:18.14 and asked if there were any orphans children 00:06:18.17\00:06:20.45 so he could take them to the orphanage. 00:06:20.48\00:06:22.48 And I explained my story. 00:06:22.51\00:06:24.25 At the age of six Nageswar's daughter came to live 00:06:30.25\00:06:33.31 with the Sunrise Home in Bobillie. 00:06:33.34\00:06:35.97 At the time no one knew just how much 00:06:36.00\00:06:38.38 this meant to Mr. Rao 00:06:38.41\00:06:39.86 and the impact this would eventually have on the family 00:06:39.89\00:06:42.49 and their village. 00:06:42.52\00:06:43.57 I lost both my parents when I was small, 00:06:47.07\00:06:49.65 at that time my uncle was taking care of me. 00:06:49.68\00:06:53.85 Nageswar Rao was actually born in another tribal village 00:06:53.88\00:06:57.13 five miles from Pamulu Geesada. 00:06:57.16\00:07:00.22 Having lost both his parents 00:07:00.25\00:07:01.91 he was left in the care of an uncle 00:07:01.94\00:07:03.55 who was an alcoholic known for going to extremes 00:07:03.58\00:07:06.81 just to lay hands on a bottle of locally brewed liquor. 00:07:06.84\00:07:11.33 He sold me to people who were into human sacrifice 00:07:11.36\00:07:14.68 as a sacrifice for the harvest time. 00:07:14.71\00:07:17.31 In that village there was a human sacrifice 00:07:17.34\00:07:20.92 and they used to sacrifice every evening and morning 00:07:20.95\00:07:26.35 one after another. 00:07:26.38\00:07:29.04 Like that turn came to my father 00:07:29.07\00:07:33.69 and they told that tomorrow evening or morning 00:07:33.72\00:07:38.12 your son has to sacrifice. 00:07:38.15\00:07:40.55 So the people took me away from the village. 00:07:44.80\00:07:47.30 They tied me up with a stone on my neck 00:07:47.33\00:07:49.72 in the forest and hid me there. 00:07:49.75\00:07:52.63 Realizing the boy was missing some of the villagers 00:07:52.66\00:07:55.41 forced the uncle to confess to his whereabouts. 00:07:55.44\00:07:57.74 So all the people searched the forest and found me there. 00:08:01.71\00:08:04.77 They found me tied up with this big stone. 00:08:04.80\00:08:07.76 Finally they rescued me and brought me to the village. 00:08:07.79\00:08:11.48 Worried about the boy's long-term safety 00:08:11.51\00:08:13.89 his grandfather stepped in and took Nageswar 00:08:13.92\00:08:16.49 someplace far away. 00:08:16.52\00:08:18.31 In this mountainous region of the country 00:08:18.34\00:08:20.30 there are no roads or vehicles just walking trails 00:08:20.33\00:08:23.20 through the thick forest. 00:08:23.23\00:08:24.72 The grandfather took the boy 00:08:24.75\00:08:25.96 to the village of Pamulu Geesada, 00:08:25.99\00:08:28.06 there a couple heard about his story and decided to adopt him. 00:08:28.09\00:08:31.61 They didn't have children's so they adopted me. 00:08:34.32\00:08:37.20 When I was 18-years-old my adoptive parents also died. 00:08:37.23\00:08:42.11 He was orphaned for the second time in his life. 00:08:42.14\00:08:46.55 The people in the village did their best to take care of him 00:08:46.58\00:08:49.43 and he became a day labor doing odd jobs 00:08:49.46\00:08:51.92 and heavy labor to earn a living. 00:08:51.95\00:08:53.86 The elders in the village married him of to a local girl 00:08:53.89\00:08:56.54 and soon they had a child, 00:08:56.57\00:08:58.42 but shortly thereafter she left him. 00:08:58.45\00:09:01.51 After my wife left me 00:09:01.54\00:09:02.92 and my daughter I struggled a lot. 00:09:02.95\00:09:05.39 I couldn't take care of my daughter 00:09:05.42\00:09:07.24 because I was just a simple coolie. 00:09:07.27\00:09:09.51 Because of this the villagers arranged a match 00:09:09.54\00:09:12.13 with another girl, but my troubles worsened. 00:09:12.16\00:09:15.17 My second wife didn't like my daughter 00:09:15.20\00:09:17.73 and my daughter didn't like my second wife. 00:09:17.76\00:09:20.25 I was crushed in between. 00:09:20.28\00:09:21.99 Raj Varma brought Nageswar a glimmer of hope 00:09:31.89\00:09:34.57 when he offered to care for his daughter 00:09:34.60\00:09:36.37 thank you for an education. 00:09:36.40\00:09:38.12 No one could have anticipated how the girls new life there 00:09:38.15\00:09:40.80 would also change the life of her father and their village. 00:09:40.83\00:09:45.17 At six years old she is happy to come and study in Sunrise Home. 00:09:45.20\00:09:49.81 For over 40 years Asian Aid is an organization 00:10:27.33\00:10:30.86 giving hope to so many. 00:10:30.89\00:10:32.93 Their outreach spans form India, 00:10:32.96\00:10:34.87 Bangladesh to Nepal and beyond, 00:10:34.90\00:10:38.60 from remote villages and empty fields 00:10:38.63\00:10:42.60 to scrolling centers of education, 00:10:42.63\00:10:45.69 from nothing to the unimaginable. 00:10:45.72\00:10:47.89 Asian Aid development projects provide 00:10:52.01\00:10:54.08 child sponsorship, fresh water, and medical care 00:10:54.11\00:10:57.71 for women and leper victims. 00:10:57.74\00:11:00.77 They provide a high standard of education 00:11:00.80\00:11:02.99 to impoverished children. 00:11:03.02\00:11:06.08 Asian Aid has a vision driven by a woman 00:11:06.11\00:11:08.94 humbly fulfilling the Biblical principle 00:11:08.97\00:11:11.34 that calls for us to care for the least of these. 00:11:11.37\00:11:16.20 This standard is still true today. 00:11:16.23\00:11:18.87 The need is still there. 00:11:18.90\00:11:20.97 Less than 50% of Indian's children get an education, 00:11:28.09\00:11:32.31 one million women in Nepal suffer from uterine prolapse 00:11:32.34\00:11:35.41 and are in need of immediate surgery. 00:11:35.44\00:11:37.97 Over 5,000 babies die everyday 00:11:38.00\00:11:40.57 due to extreme poverty. 00:11:40.60\00:11:42.74 These are better few of the harsh realities. 00:11:42.77\00:11:45.38 Asian Aid is meeting these challenges 00:11:49.23\00:11:51.42 and transforming the lives of so many in need, 00:11:51.45\00:11:56.23 always sticking to their core mission, giving hope. 00:11:56.26\00:11:59.83 Asian Aid sponsors thousands of children 00:12:10.51\00:12:12.88 in slums and destitute villages. 00:12:12.91\00:12:16.88 They support over 100 schools and orphanages. 00:12:16.91\00:12:21.93 They provide a value spaced education 00:12:21.96\00:12:27.20 and give them a sense of place, a home. 00:12:27.23\00:12:31.89 Well, in my dream I was just thinking 00:12:31.92\00:12:33.81 of a small boarding school with maybe 50 children 00:12:33.84\00:12:36.90 and that of course did increased to 200 quiet fast 00:12:36.93\00:12:39.71 but now to see these buildings 00:12:39.74\00:12:42.39 and this campus is just so amazing. 00:12:42.42\00:12:45.74 And now there are 750 children actually studying 00:12:45.77\00:12:50.73 and learning so much on this school compound. 00:12:50.76\00:12:53.66 In Nepal over a million women 00:13:04.81\00:13:06.64 suffer from an epidemic of uterine prolapse. 00:13:06.67\00:13:10.11 Through their educational outreach programs 00:13:10.14\00:13:12.23 and medical treatment clinics 00:13:12.26\00:13:14.23 Asian Aid has helped thousands of women. 00:13:14.26\00:13:18.06 They also give shelter and educate women 00:13:18.09\00:13:20.31 who have escaped from the human trafficking business 00:13:20.34\00:13:22.87 providing them a way back to a better life. 00:13:22.90\00:13:26.69 Asian Aid supports premier schools for the blind 00:13:44.94\00:13:47.69 and the deaf preparing them for success in the world community. 00:13:47.72\00:13:51.48 It's easy to put a price on what a cost to educate 00:13:57.37\00:13:59.94 and feed a child for a day 00:13:59.97\00:14:04.11 but how do you put a price on transformation. 00:14:04.14\00:14:11.12 Asian Aid graduates serve important roles from nurses 00:14:11.15\00:14:14.79 and teachers to top leading medical and research scientist. 00:14:14.82\00:14:19.72 All are contributing in positive ways 00:14:19.75\00:14:21.73 to the global community. 00:14:21.76\00:14:23.36 I want to be a social worker. 00:14:31.16\00:14:34.99 I want to become teacher. 00:14:35.02\00:14:37.10 I want to become doctor 00:14:37.13\00:14:38.40 because I want to help the other older people. 00:14:38.43\00:14:42.78 These children are living proof 00:14:46.33\00:14:48.23 that Asian Aid doesn't just feed to child stomach 00:14:48.26\00:14:51.28 but fuels their desire to learn, 00:14:51.31\00:14:53.59 to achieve and to give something back. 00:14:53.62\00:14:57.13 Asian Aid feeds a child soul 00:14:57.16\00:15:00.26 but ultimately what Asian Aid does is give hope, 00:15:00.29\00:15:05.06 hope to children, hope to women, 00:15:05.09\00:15:08.49 hope to those who need at the most. 00:15:08.52\00:15:12.71 Asian Aid knows that making an investment in hope 00:15:12.74\00:15:15.93 requires a decision to act now. 00:15:15.96\00:15:19.21 It's a principle that can only pay off 00:15:19.24\00:15:21.36 with help from sponsors like you. 00:15:21.39\00:15:24.17 Standing still is not an option. 00:15:24.20\00:15:27.34 Asian Aid is Hope in Motion. 00:15:27.37\00:15:30.41 Nageswar Rao is a day labor 00:15:50.54\00:15:52.37 living in the remote mountain village of Pamulu Geesada. 00:15:52.40\00:15:56.21 As a boy he endured several lifetimes of tragedies 00:15:56.24\00:15:59.41 after he was sold as a human sacrifice 00:15:59.44\00:16:01.81 and was orphaned twice by the time he was 18. 00:16:01.84\00:16:04.96 His struggles continued into his adulthood 00:16:04.99\00:16:07.18 after his first wife left him 00:16:07.21\00:16:08.91 with the child to support on his meager salary. 00:16:08.94\00:16:14.95 Because of this the villagers arranged marriage 00:16:14.98\00:16:17.54 with another girl, but my troubles worsened. 00:16:17.57\00:16:20.61 My second wife didn't like my daughter 00:16:20.64\00:16:23.16 and my daughter didn't like my second wife. 00:16:23.19\00:16:25.65 I was crushed in between. 00:16:25.68\00:16:28.12 Rohini came to Sunrise Home when she was six years old. 00:16:28.15\00:16:31.51 Then she comes from tribal community 00:16:31.54\00:16:34.36 where there are no facilities, road facilities, 00:16:34.39\00:16:36.95 electric facilities or doctors. 00:16:36.98\00:16:39.93 So at that time she was six years old 00:16:39.96\00:16:43.64 and no one is there to take care of her. 00:16:43.67\00:16:45.60 Rohini Nimmakka has been at Sunrise Home 00:17:24.25\00:17:26.54 for the past eight years and is now 14-years-old. 00:17:26.57\00:17:29.48 An eighth grade student at the nearby SDA School 00:17:29.51\00:17:32.55 she's at the top of her class. 00:17:32.58\00:17:35.60 Rohini is a nice student here. 00:17:35.63\00:17:37.57 I think she already got first rank in our first unit 00:17:37.60\00:17:41.82 and she is also one of the intelligent girl 00:17:41.85\00:17:45.15 among the all students. 00:17:45.18\00:17:46.43 Why because since last-- 00:17:46.46\00:17:47.64 I think so many of our teachers are there. 00:17:47.67\00:17:50.73 They also told about her. 00:17:50.76\00:17:53.67 In all subjects she got good marks 00:17:53.70\00:17:56.34 so like that she is first ranker in this class. 00:17:56.37\00:17:59.66 Once in a while Rohini is able to go back 00:17:59.69\00:18:01.80 to her village in Pamulu Geesada. 00:18:01.83\00:18:04.08 It was on one of these visits several years ago 00:18:04.11\00:18:06.50 that she started to share with her father 00:18:06.53\00:18:08.56 what she was learning in school. 00:18:08.59\00:18:10.83 I used to go there and tell my father about God. 00:18:10.86\00:18:15.82 Whenever I say he used to tell I know about Him, 00:18:15.85\00:18:18.95 I know about Him but he never prays to God. 00:18:18.98\00:18:22.12 So I teached him 00:18:22.15\00:18:23.44 how to pray in Telugu and he learnt 00:18:23.47\00:18:26.44 and he started believing in God. 00:18:26.47\00:18:32.72 Previously we were all idol worshippers, 00:18:32.75\00:18:35.13 but now I go door-to-door 00:18:35.16\00:18:36.91 and tell them about Jesus and pray with them. 00:18:36.94\00:18:39.63 Now most of them are Christian's 00:18:39.66\00:18:41.45 and we started worshiping in our houses. 00:18:41.48\00:18:43.91 Later on God provided a nice church for us. 00:18:43.94\00:18:47.94 And now he became a pastor 00:18:47.97\00:18:50.18 and he was working there in our village as a pastor. 00:18:50.21\00:18:58.10 I'm the pastor of this Church, 00:18:58.13\00:19:00.24 I've been pastoring this church for nine years, 00:19:00.27\00:19:03.03 I've nearly 60 members here 00:19:03.06\00:19:04.94 we have worship every Saturday. 00:19:04.97\00:19:06.99 A few hours inland from Pamulu Geesada, 00:19:59.43\00:20:02.41 Sunrise Home is in the small town of Bobillie. 00:20:02.44\00:20:05.82 While the town center maybe hustle and bustle 00:20:05.85\00:20:07.84 with business transactions and shoppers, 00:20:07.87\00:20:10.36 not far beyond under the beautiful 00:20:10.39\00:20:12.04 rolling hills rice fields 00:20:12.07\00:20:13.68 that are the signature of this part of the country. 00:20:13.71\00:20:16.97 With over 80 boys and girls packed into a single house 00:20:17.00\00:20:20.51 Sunrise Children's Home is ready to make the move 00:20:20.54\00:20:22.93 from the town of Bobillie 00:20:22.96\00:20:24.46 to its peaceful and spacious countryside. 00:20:24.49\00:20:26.72 Well, we started this project last year 00:20:36.69\00:20:39.12 and every time I come here, there have been changes. 00:20:39.15\00:20:41.72 Buildings are starting to be completed 00:20:41.75\00:20:44.03 and the progress is bright. 00:20:44.06\00:20:45.98 When I was first invited 00:20:46.01\00:20:48.25 to accept the position of director, 00:20:48.28\00:20:51.31 I was told about the Sunrise project, 00:20:51.34\00:20:54.85 it was a privilege to actually come here 00:20:54.88\00:20:57.87 and see what is happening, 00:20:57.90\00:21:00.10 and go to the existing Sunrise Home 00:21:00.13\00:21:03.91 and see the children in that very cramped, crowded place 00:21:03.94\00:21:07.95 and then come out here 00:21:07.98\00:21:09.01 and see what they are becoming to, 00:21:09.04\00:21:10.85 unfortunately we cannot accept, 00:21:10.88\00:21:13.38 we cannot help everyone that asked us 00:21:13.41\00:21:16.57 but certainly this is going to allow us 00:21:16.60\00:21:18.64 to take in more children member 00:21:18.67\00:21:20.60 then we would have been able to back 00:21:20.63\00:21:21.72 in the old, the old home. 00:21:21.75\00:21:24.24 Once in a while we bring children here to get relax, 00:21:38.07\00:21:43.25 because everyday they will go to school 00:21:43.28\00:21:45.16 and they will study, they do their duties. 00:21:45.19\00:21:48.42 Today is the precious day for them to relax for sometime 00:21:48.45\00:21:51.51 and they have lot of place to play here. 00:21:51.54\00:21:54.21 Lot of place to dance and jump 00:21:54.24\00:21:56.69 and when they saw the rooms, inside the rooms 00:21:56.72\00:21:59.78 when they saw they, felt very happy 00:21:59.81\00:22:02.12 and they started dancing and they started jumping. 00:22:02.15\00:22:05.83 Today when I heard mummy told that 00:22:05.86\00:22:08.25 we are going to Karada I was felt happy 00:22:08.28\00:22:11.52 because for long time I did not see this home 00:22:11.55\00:22:18.27 and when I entered the campus 00:22:18.30\00:22:22.21 I was very happy 00:22:22.24\00:22:24.12 and first of all I went to study hall room. 00:22:24.15\00:22:27.40 It's a big room and I felt very happy. 00:22:27.43\00:22:31.14 My name is Jesudas, 00:22:31.17\00:22:32.35 I had passed 12th grade 00:22:32.38\00:22:34.60 and now I'm planning to join nursing this year. 00:22:34.63\00:22:39.99 So before leaving this place I'm very happy to come here 00:22:40.02\00:22:44.08 to look around my new home and really I was very happy 00:22:44.11\00:22:47.63 because since we for the past few years 00:22:47.66\00:22:50.85 we stayed at congested place and now it is very free. 00:22:50.88\00:22:53.44 We can play freely and nice bathrooms are there 00:22:53.47\00:22:59.01 and free rooms, so I like it so much. 00:22:59.04\00:23:03.44 This project wouldn't never been possible without the sponsors, 00:23:03.47\00:23:06.87 that every stage we had a need for various buildings, 00:23:06.90\00:23:10.96 various needs and the sponsors of kind come to the party. 00:23:10.99\00:23:14.42 The Lord is really blessed us 00:23:14.45\00:23:16.46 and I just want to thank the sponsors, 00:23:16.49\00:23:18.96 and for those of you that have contributed to this project 00:23:18.99\00:23:22.65 shortly the children will be moving 00:23:22.68\00:23:24.44 and you made a big difference. 00:23:24.47\00:23:26.85 With the help of Asian Aids sponsors, 00:23:26.88\00:23:28.85 Sunrise Children's Home is been changing the lives of children 00:23:28.88\00:23:31.82 in need like Rohini for the past 11 years. 00:23:31.85\00:23:35.24 Looking back Rohini is thankful for the day 00:23:35.27\00:23:37.84 Raj Varma came to her village. 00:23:37.87\00:23:41.20 Whenever I saw that pictures, I used to thank God 00:23:41.23\00:23:44.59 because if I did not come here means, 00:23:44.62\00:23:47.38 I will be somewhere in the tribal area 00:23:47.41\00:23:51.03 and I will be different. 00:23:51.06\00:23:53.10 I thank god for bringing me here. 00:23:53.13\00:23:56.97 By God's grace I brought here 00:23:57.00\00:23:59.31 and now I'm like this. 00:23:59.34\00:24:02.51 Looking forward Rohini now has a means to fulfill her dreams. 00:24:02.54\00:24:07.56 My favorite subject is mathematics 00:24:07.59\00:24:10.99 and when I grow up, 00:24:11.02\00:24:12.24 I want to become an engineer. 00:24:12.27\00:24:14.29 Every year millions of kids in India, 00:24:44.11\00:24:46.67 Nepal and Bangladesh are unable to attend school, 00:24:46.70\00:24:50.14 and they're forced to live their lives 00:24:50.17\00:24:51.44 in poverty instead of reaching their potential. 00:24:51.47\00:24:55.13 In the scriptures Jesus reminds us 00:24:55.16\00:24:57.76 whatever you do for one of the least brothers 00:24:57.79\00:24:59.96 and sisters have Mine, you do for Me. 00:24:59.99\00:25:03.18 Today there are so many kids in need of sponsors 00:25:03.21\00:25:06.32 to provide them food, clothing and shelter. 00:25:06.35\00:25:09.47 With sponsorship through Asian Aid, 00:25:09.50\00:25:11.48 you have the ability to provide 00:25:11.51\00:25:13.55 these basic necessities to the least of these. 00:25:13.58\00:25:17.37 Won't you consider sponsorship Asian Aid, 00:25:17.40\00:25:20.23 you too can make a big difference 00:25:20.26\00:25:22.48 every day in the life of a child. 00:25:22.51\00:25:24.77
