The following program presents 00:00:01.98\00:00:02.95 principles designed to promote good health 00:00:02.96\00:00:04.94 and is not intended to take the place 00:00:04.95\00:00:06.74 of personalized professional care. 00:00:06.75\00:00:09.08 The opinions and the ideas expressed 00:00:09.09\00:00:11.07 are those of the speaker. 00:00:11.08\00:00:12.40 Viewers are encouraged to draw 00:00:12.41\00:00:14.24 their own conclusions about the information presented. 00:00:14.25\00:00:17.14 Hello, and welcome to Health for A Lifetime. 00:00:50.90\00:00:52.65 I'm your host Don Mackintosh. We're glad you're with us, 00:00:52.66\00:00:55.13 and we're glad Dr. Neil Nedley is with us. 00:00:55.14\00:00:56.87 Welcome Dr. Nedley. Thank you, it's good to be here. 00:00:56.88\00:00:59.13 And you're a physician in internal medicine 00:00:59.14\00:01:02.02 which means you deal with organs systems, 00:01:02.03\00:01:04.17 the complex patient, heart problems, 00:01:04.18\00:01:06.81 all kinds of problems that are inside. 00:01:06.82\00:01:08.44 Adult disease of the internal organs. 00:01:08.45\00:01:10.46 Okay, adult diseases of the internal organs. 00:01:10.47\00:01:13.05 So, today we're gonna kind of just update 00:01:13.06\00:01:15.14 people on Cutting The Edge Research. 00:01:15.15\00:01:17.70 We're gonna look at different things. 00:01:17.71\00:01:19.02 We'll look at a bunch of different things. 00:01:19.03\00:01:20.75 We're gonna be looking at diabetes and depression. 00:01:20.76\00:01:22.73 We're gonna be looking at, you know, waistlines 00:01:22.74\00:01:26.62 and how they had increased during college. 00:01:26.63\00:01:28.08 We're gonna be looking at Red Yeast 00:01:28.09\00:01:30.66 and all kinds of these interesting things. 00:01:30.67\00:01:33.31 And why don't we just dive right into it? 00:01:33.32\00:01:35.30 Our first study comes from 00:01:36.30\00:01:37.50 the Journal of the American Medical Association 00:01:37.51\00:01:39.79 published in June 18 of 2008, 00:01:39.80\00:01:42.67 showing a link between Diabetes and depression. 00:01:42.68\00:01:46.37 It turns out that people being treated for Type II Diabetes 00:01:46.38\00:01:50.71 are at increased risk for depression. 00:01:50.72\00:01:52.67 And also those who have depression are moderately 00:01:53.67\00:01:57.26 increased in their risk of developing Type II Diabetes. 00:01:57.27\00:02:00.91 In fact, they found that people who had symptoms of Depression 00:02:00.92\00:02:03.88 were about 30% more likely to develop Diabetes 00:02:03.89\00:02:07.86 during the study then people without Depression. 00:02:07.87\00:02:10.62 And they think this link is not only 00:02:10.63\00:02:13.61 just due to lifestyle factors 00:02:13.62\00:02:15.17 or some of those lifestyle factors 00:02:15.18\00:02:16.59 that cause Diabetes for instance, Don, 00:02:16.60\00:02:18.89 also end up causing Depression. 00:02:18.90\00:02:21.50 But also the fact that these two diseases 00:02:22.50\00:02:24.95 are interrelated through deeper mechanisms. 00:02:24.96\00:02:27.25 And what are some of those deeper mechanisms? 00:02:27.26\00:02:29.28 Well, the deeper mechanisms would be insulin resistance. 00:02:29.29\00:02:32.21 People with Type II Diabetes developed insulin resistance 00:02:32.22\00:02:36.04 and that means that the insulin can't get 00:02:36.05\00:02:40.15 out of the receptor, to get the sugar into the cell, 00:02:40.16\00:02:43.28 okay, and if the sugar doesn't get into the cell 00:02:43.29\00:02:45.34 it doesn't get energy 00:02:45.35\00:02:46.48 and obviously that can be associated with fatigue, apathy, 00:02:46.49\00:02:49.45 and also the devolvement of Type II Diabetes. 00:02:49.46\00:02:52.77 And so the interesting thing about this is the same treatment 00:02:52.78\00:02:56.39 that can help Diabetes 00:02:56.40\00:02:58.64 also can help Depression and vice versa. 00:02:58.65\00:02:59.64 So you know, for years we've known 00:03:00.42\00:03:03.77 it's good for diabetics to exercise 00:03:03.78\00:03:05.63 and it's good for them to eat plant-based foods, 00:03:05.64\00:03:08.45 but it turns out 00:03:08.46\00:03:09.77 that is the best program for Depressions as well. 00:03:09.78\00:03:12.84 So do you think underlying this is the Obesity crisis 00:03:12.85\00:03:16.28 that we face in many Western Countries? 00:03:16.29\00:03:18.32 Yes, that's part of it. 00:03:19.20\00:03:20.44 We're seeing increasing waistlines 00:03:20.45\00:03:22.58 and of course that can cause insulin resistance 00:03:22.59\00:03:25.39 and can also lead to Diabetes we know. 00:03:25.40\00:03:28.07 And now we know it can also lead to Depression. 00:03:28.08\00:03:31.03 I looked at the study once that said you know, 00:03:31.04\00:03:32.90 one out of every three patients that's Obese has Depression 00:03:32.91\00:03:38.43 and so it was kind of that link too. 00:03:38.44\00:03:41.66 There is that link and that's why, 00:03:41.67\00:03:44.23 you know, we of course of author 00:03:44.24\00:03:46.10 the Depression recovery program, 00:03:46.11\00:03:47.72 but that's why we talked about if you're obese 00:03:47.73\00:03:50.33 loosing weight down to your idea way. 00:03:50.34\00:03:52.60 It'll actually help your energy, 00:03:52.61\00:03:54.13 it'll help your insulin resistance 00:03:54.14\00:03:55.74 and what happens that you'll also, 00:03:55.85\00:03:57.24 you know, we didn't talked about this 00:03:57.25\00:03:58.68 to get the neurotransmitters into the brain 00:03:59.52\00:04:03.92 or I should say the substrate to make the neurotransmitters, 00:04:03.93\00:04:08.18 for instance the substrate to make Serotonin 00:04:08.19\00:04:10.68 is called Tryptophan. 00:04:10.69\00:04:11.91 Tryptophan, we have to get in foods. 00:04:11.92\00:04:14.05 Tryptophan will not cross into the brain, 00:04:14.06\00:04:18.47 unless the insulin is working. 00:04:18.48\00:04:21.71 In other words, the insulin binds another receptor 00:04:21.72\00:04:24.89 and that brings tryptophan across 00:04:24.90\00:04:27.06 the blood brain barrier to make Serotonin. 00:04:27.07\00:04:29.20 So in another words, insulin doesn't just get sugar in, 00:04:29.21\00:04:31.61 it gets these other building blocks into the brain 00:04:31.62\00:04:33.77 that didn't could be made into the things 00:04:33.78\00:04:35.53 that make us feel good. Exactly. 00:04:35.54\00:04:36.98 So if you're diabetic not only do you 00:04:36.99\00:04:38.86 not get the sugar you need 00:04:38.87\00:04:40.85 into you know, the tissues you need but you also... 00:04:40.86\00:04:45.10 You also don't make Serotonin right. 00:04:45.11\00:04:46.95 You don't get it into your brain, you don't feel good. 00:04:46.96\00:04:48.34 Exactly. Interesting, 00:04:48.35\00:04:49.85 so this kind of raises all ships with those 00:04:49.86\00:04:52.27 and it's a typical treatment 00:04:52.28\00:04:53.43 that you talked about in Depression recovery 00:04:53.44\00:04:55.52 which is exercise and nutrition 00:04:55.53\00:04:57.89 and you know, basically learning the truth 00:04:57.90\00:05:01.76 and doing the truth about these different things. 00:05:01.77\00:05:03.95 That's right. Interesting. 00:05:03.96\00:05:05.28 And actually it can help better than medicine, 00:05:05.29\00:05:06.81 that's what we've shown in our studies 00:05:06.82\00:05:09.01 that when you put someone 00:05:09.02\00:05:10.48 on a comprehensive lifestyle program to treat Depression 00:05:10.49\00:05:14.96 it's better than any combination of medications 00:05:14.97\00:05:17.80 on the planet in helping their condition. 00:05:17.81\00:05:20.25 And if people would recognized 00:05:20.26\00:05:21.93 just that alone it would give them far more hope 00:05:21.94\00:05:25.26 than they have by paying hundreds 00:05:25.27\00:05:27.55 and sometimes it's over a $100 a month 00:05:27.56\00:05:29.66 for their antidepressant medication prescription 00:05:29.67\00:05:32.72 and we need to remind ourselves 00:05:32.73\00:05:34.05 that's the number one class of drugs 00:05:34.06\00:05:37.27 being given by pharmacist actually prescribed by doctors 00:05:37.28\00:05:40.65 but passing over the counter from pharmacist to patient. 00:05:40.66\00:05:44.15 The number one class of drugs is now antidepressant medicines, 00:05:44.16\00:05:47.80 and unfortunately they don't work 00:05:47.81\00:05:50.08 near as well as lifestyle. 00:05:50.09\00:05:51.25 So if someone has major Depression, 00:05:51.26\00:05:52.65 I am not talking bipolar Depression 00:05:52.66\00:05:54.08 where it's up and down those swings, 00:05:54.09\00:05:55.60 but if they have major Depression 00:05:55.61\00:05:56.82 they should really look into 00:05:56.83\00:06:00.09 you know, the same thing that's gonna help their Depression 00:06:00.10\00:06:02.86 that helps them address their Diabetes 00:06:02.87\00:06:05.44 in terms of lifestyle things. 00:06:05.45\00:06:06.98 That's right, physical exercise, sunlight actually helps 00:06:06.99\00:06:09.76 both conditions omega-3 helps both conditions. 00:06:09.77\00:06:13.56 Proper rest. A plant-based diet. 00:06:13.57\00:06:15.89 That's right, proper rest 00:06:15.90\00:06:16.92 when you're not getting enough sleep 00:06:16.93\00:06:18.49 you actually are more insulin resistant. 00:06:18.50\00:06:21.00 And you said also once we were talking that eating food 00:06:21.01\00:06:24.41 late at night is very bad 00:06:24.42\00:06:26.77 because it increases you know proper 00:06:26.78\00:06:31.09 It decreases your melatonin level, yeah, 00:06:31.10\00:06:32.62 decreases your growth hormone; 00:06:32.63\00:06:33.93 those are both things that are going 00:06:33.94\00:06:36.21 to help your mental health. Yeah. 00:06:36.22\00:06:38.84 And unfortunately diabetics have a tenancy to eat late at night 00:06:38.85\00:06:43.60 and not to eat well in the morning. 00:06:43.61\00:06:45.25 And the best time that they could actually stimulate 00:06:45.26\00:06:47.79 that food is in the morning time, 00:06:47.80\00:06:49.17 that's the time when their insulin receptors 00:06:49.18\00:06:51.55 are gonna work the best. 00:06:51.56\00:06:52.53 So your website still drnedley.com, right? Correct. 00:06:52.54\00:06:56.07 And that's where you give more information 00:06:56.08\00:06:59.56 about Depression and these kind of things. Exactly. 00:06:59.57\00:07:01.83 Let's go into the next study which I found fascinating, 00:07:01.84\00:07:04.27 was looking at the waistlines of college students, 00:07:04.28\00:07:07.00 yes, and there is something called "The Freshman 15," 00:07:07.01\00:07:11.94 And that Freshman 15 is that when you enter 00:07:11.95\00:07:15.49 into the freshman year of college 00:07:15.50\00:07:18.92 you may end up gaining 15 pounds as a result. 00:07:18.93\00:07:21.02 Is that true? Is that a myth? 00:07:21.03\00:07:22.29 Well, it turned out to be a myth, 00:07:22.30\00:07:23.96 it turned out the average was five pounds 00:07:23.97\00:07:27.43 and girls entering their freshman years of college 00:07:27.44\00:07:31.43 And the thing that Dr. Janis Randall-Simpson 00:07:31.44\00:07:34.97 who conducted this study said, it was alarming, 00:07:34.98\00:07:38.78 Is this happened over just to six 00:07:38.79\00:07:40.49 to seven month period of time? 00:07:40.50\00:07:42.52 So they were gaining five-six pounds 00:07:42.53\00:07:44.28 over six to seven months. 00:07:44.29\00:07:45.52 That's right, and that's just on average. 00:07:45.53\00:07:47.85 Now that some of course freshman like lose, 00:07:47.86\00:07:50.15 some might gain like 15, 00:07:50.16\00:07:51.29 but if you just take an average individual 00:07:51.30\00:07:54.35 who enters college as a female, their BMI that is there... 00:07:54.36\00:07:59.83 Basal Metabolism, right? 00:07:59.84\00:08:01.41 Well, no it's actually their density 00:08:01.42\00:08:04.77 as far as... Okay, body mass. 00:08:04.78\00:08:07.05 Body mass index. Index, okay. 00:08:07.06\00:08:08.54 All right, the body mass index 00:08:08.55\00:08:10.26 went from average of 22 to well over 23, 00:08:10.27\00:08:14.68 and their percent body fat grows 00:08:14.69\00:08:17.19 and the waistlines also increased 00:08:21.20\00:08:23.46 by two and a half centimeters or one inch 00:08:23.47\00:08:25.70 in just 6 to 7 months. 00:08:25.71\00:08:27.26 Is this because you're eating more food they have no work, 00:08:27.27\00:08:29.98 they're not out there doing things, is that why? 00:08:29.99\00:08:32.16 Well, they're not sure exactly why it's happening. 00:08:32.17\00:08:34.79 The study just looked at the averages 00:08:34.80\00:08:36.71 and what was going on but didn't really address it. 00:08:36.72\00:08:39.90 And I think you know, 00:08:39.91\00:08:40.89 it's really any one's guess as to why this is taking place? 00:08:40.90\00:08:45.71 But in reality a lot of cafeterias, 00:08:45.72\00:08:48.46 in fact the study point at this how we think might, 00:08:48.47\00:08:51.21 some other reasons are many college cafeterias 00:08:51.22\00:08:53.64 you just pay a fee to eat lunch 00:08:53.65\00:08:56.55 and it's kind of all you can eat. 00:08:56.56\00:08:58.10 And so people think they're getting more 00:08:58.11\00:09:00.21 for their money if they eat more. 00:09:00.22\00:09:02.83 Right, so that adds problems. 00:09:02.84\00:09:04.31 You know, Weimar College Associated with that 00:09:04.32\00:09:08.42 and also with Amazing Facts College 00:09:08.43\00:09:10.88 and putting their work part aspect into the program 00:09:10.89\00:09:14.03 something that really seems to mitigate 00:09:14.04\00:09:16.17 against developing those problems. 00:09:16.18\00:09:18.04 We worked and then you study 00:09:18.05\00:09:19.96 and if you're working, 00:09:19.97\00:09:20.94 I mean I wonder why it is they're gaining so much weight. 00:09:20.95\00:09:23.43 Now one thing I point out in your study you said 00:09:23.44\00:09:26.14 that it was six to seven months they gain five to seven pounds 00:09:26.15\00:09:29.19 are something like that. 00:09:29.20\00:09:30.17 Well, if you extrapolate that 12 months 00:09:30.18\00:09:32.22 it's sounds like it would be closer to the 00:09:32.23\00:09:34.05 12 or 15 pounds in the first year. 00:09:34.06\00:09:37.25 Well, and that's true. 00:09:37.26\00:09:38.23 And of course, if you do that year-after-year, yeah. 00:09:38.24\00:09:40.89 I mean you're gonna search yourself up 00:09:40.90\00:09:42.42 for some major health issues. 00:09:42.43\00:09:44.93 And that's, and that's what tends to happen to America, 00:09:44.94\00:09:47.57 I mean they gain about five pounds every year 00:09:47.58\00:09:48.95 and keep on going. 00:09:48.96\00:09:49.96 I will, little bit more than I did in college, do you? 00:09:49.97\00:09:52.30 I do, yeah. But not 15 pounds a year. 00:09:52.31\00:09:55.72 Not 15 pounds a year, not even five pounds a year. 00:09:55.73\00:09:59.76 Yeah. And you know they, 00:09:59.77\00:10:02.12 you're right work base programs would be important, 00:10:03.33\00:10:05.97 physical exercise is very important 00:10:05.98\00:10:08.68 in this whole aspect of things 00:10:08.69\00:10:10.86 as well as choosing proper foods that are not dense in calories, 00:10:10.87\00:10:16.31 but actually dense in nutrients. 00:10:16.32\00:10:17.98 Nutrient dense low calories, if we make the right choices 00:10:17.99\00:10:22.20 we can keep these freshmen as thin as they were 00:10:22.21\00:10:24.25 when they enter their freshmen year. 00:10:24.26\00:10:25.87 Well, that's good news 00:10:26.74\00:10:28.11 and for those of you who've gained a few pounds 00:10:28.12\00:10:29.90 I think you know doing the same things, 00:10:29.91\00:10:31.60 but probably bring you back. 00:10:31.61\00:10:33.01 Red yeast, this was interesting, what's red yeast? 00:10:33.02\00:10:37.17 Yeah, just one minute before we go to red yeast, 00:10:37.18\00:10:39.79 the last study for those that are interested 00:10:39.80\00:10:41.86 it was the Journal of the American Dietetic Association 00:10:41.87\00:10:46.25 that published that study in June of 2008. 00:10:46.26\00:10:49.51 Okay, red yeast tell me what it is, 00:10:49.52\00:10:52.44 why we should be interested in and all about? 00:10:52.45\00:10:55.44 Well, red yeast is a traditional Chinese dietary supplement 00:10:55.45\00:10:59.92 and sometimes the active ingredient is called XZK, 00:10:59.93\00:11:05.39 which stands for Xuezhikang, a nice Chinese term 00:11:06.00\00:11:10.07 and that's the derivative of red yeast rice. 00:11:10.08\00:11:13.29 And it, we have known for a while. 00:11:13.30\00:11:15.88 This is rice, it's not yeast it's red yeast rice. 00:11:15.89\00:11:18.28 Red yeast rice, correct. Okay. 00:11:18.29\00:11:20.42 And we have known for a while that this type of rice 00:11:20.43\00:11:24.02 actually does have a tendency to lower cholesterol levels. 00:11:24.03\00:11:27.63 In fact, you can find 00:11:27.64\00:11:29.26 red yeast rice extract in pharmacies 00:11:29.82\00:11:35.31 and health food stores and those type of things. 00:11:35.46\00:11:38.20 And some people use that is an alternative for taking 00:11:38.21\00:11:40.86 cholesterol lowering medicines. 00:11:40.87\00:11:43.16 The study show they do, it does lower cholesterol, 00:11:43.17\00:11:46.33 probably not to the extent of a Lipitor or Zocor or Crestor. 00:11:46.34\00:11:51.35 These are the cholesterol lower in medicines. 00:11:51.36\00:11:52.88 These are in cholesterol lower in medicines. 00:11:52.89\00:11:55.27 But you know, the heartcore physician 00:11:55.28\00:11:58.39 who really wants to know about outcomes 00:11:58.40\00:12:00.39 is not just interested to know 00:12:00.40\00:12:02.31 whether the cholesterol goes down 00:12:02.32\00:12:03.98 we think that's helpful, but the purist will say, 00:12:03.99\00:12:08.16 we don't know if that's really helpful or not 00:12:08.17\00:12:09.92 unless we've done outcome studies to show 00:12:09.93\00:12:12.33 that the individuals actually do better 00:12:12.34\00:12:14.50 who are taking the medicine or the supplement. 00:12:14.51\00:12:16.86 Of course, it costs millions of dollars 00:12:16.87\00:12:18.87 to do these prospective randomized control studies. 00:12:18.88\00:12:22.66 And one of the reasons why drugs are out there 00:12:22.67\00:12:26.04 and can be sold in mass 00:12:26.05\00:12:27.84 is simply because millions of dollars have gone into it; 00:12:27.85\00:12:30.86 you don't see millions of dollars poured 00:12:30.87\00:12:32.71 into red yeast rice extract. 00:12:32.72\00:12:36.72 And do you know the reason, Don? 00:12:36.73\00:12:38.27 That's because there is no good looking 00:12:38.93\00:12:40.86 pharmaceutical rep that comes 00:12:40.87\00:12:42.22 and talked about red yeast, 00:12:42.23\00:12:43.84 no, not, no Chinese acrobat that comes in 00:12:43.85\00:12:45.98 and diets into your office with the rice. 00:12:45.99\00:12:48.93 Well, yes that's and the reason why they don't? 00:12:48.94\00:12:52.32 Why isn't they're good looking representatives coming from? 00:12:53.27\00:12:55.71 Probably there is not 00:12:55.72\00:12:56.69 a lot of money out through this annum. 00:12:56.70\00:12:57.67 That's right, it comes from rice 00:12:57.68\00:12:59.14 and if you try to pattern this rice 00:12:59.15\00:13:01.72 it will be called the U.S. Government 00:13:01.73\00:13:04.07 will send you a nice letter bag, that'll be called Prior Art. 00:13:04.08\00:13:07.18 In other words, it's already there 00:13:07.19\00:13:09.30 it's been in the food supply for centuries 00:13:09.31\00:13:11.65 and so you can't patterned that and if you can't patterned that 00:13:11.66\00:13:14.60 then you don't have the ability to make 00:13:15.53\00:13:17.15 a lot of money off of it. 00:13:17.16\00:13:18.45 And so a lot of times supplements 00:13:18.46\00:13:21.31 are prepared by medical professionals 00:13:21.32\00:13:24.40 as being well there isn't any evidence for this 00:13:24.41\00:13:26.68 and you know which sure be nice to see the evidence. 00:13:26.69\00:13:29.33 Well, these individuals did the study 00:13:29.34\00:13:31.70 and it actually was published in well places 00:13:31.71\00:13:34.12 the American Journal of Cardiology. 00:13:34.13\00:13:36.15 Oh, is that right? 00:13:36.16\00:13:37.14 American Journal of Cardiology June 15, 2008 00:13:37.15\00:13:40.70 and here is their quote, 00:13:40.71\00:13:42.20 "Chinese red yeast rice is a botanical product 00:13:42.21\00:13:45.44 that has been used in China for many centuries 00:13:45.45\00:13:47.33 for the treatment of circulatory disorders. 00:13:47.34\00:13:49.50 The co-author Dr. David Capuzzi at Thomas Jefferson University 00:13:49.51\00:13:53.50 in Philadelphia noted. 00:13:53.51\00:13:54.64 Particular preparation used in this study 00:13:55.54\00:13:57.16 has been grown under carefully control lab record, 00:13:57.17\00:13:59.28 laboratory conditions so that its components are reproducible. 00:13:59.29\00:14:03.88 And for their study they recruited four, 00:14:03.89\00:14:06.85 almost 4000 men and about a 1000 women 00:14:06.86\00:14:10.25 who'd survived a heart attack and had high cholesterol levels. 00:14:10.26\00:14:13.48 And so this is the right population 00:14:14.58\00:14:16.51 they've already had heart disease, 00:14:16.52\00:14:18.21 they already have high cholesterol levels. 00:14:18.22\00:14:20.62 And now they have the study. 00:14:20.63\00:14:21.60 And they've already had a high heart attack 00:14:21.61\00:14:24.24 and what they did is they treated them 00:14:24.25\00:14:26.23 with either the red yeast rice 00:14:26.24\00:14:28.45 or placebo for four and a half years, 00:14:28.46\00:14:30.67 so it was a prospective study. 00:14:30.68\00:14:32.40 And what they found out is those on the red yeast rice 00:14:33.17\00:14:36.26 actually had 1.9% of them ended up 00:14:37.56\00:14:40.77 having a follow up heart attack 00:14:40.78\00:14:42.48 within that study period of four and a half years, 00:14:42.49\00:14:45.40 but those not on it 5% 00:14:45.41\00:14:47.92 and so the difference was well over double the risk 00:14:47.93\00:14:53.04 if you were not consuming red yeast rice extract. 00:14:53.05\00:14:58.38 And in fact the group 00:14:58.39\00:15:00.35 that was not consuming the red yeast rice extract 00:15:00.36\00:15:03.43 over about twice as many of those needed 00:15:03.44\00:15:06.43 stent procedures later on and needed those type of things 00:15:06.44\00:15:10.43 and the mortality right also was lower significantly 00:15:10.44\00:15:13.64 by taking red yeast rice extract. 00:15:13.65\00:15:16.00 Does it taste good? 00:15:16.01\00:15:17.29 It can, yeah. Rice can be tasty thing. 00:15:17.30\00:15:21.61 Same as the other couple of rice because red yeast rice. 00:15:21.62\00:15:22.78 Yeah, and of course 00:15:22.79\00:15:23.76 in this condition they weren't just feeding them, right, 00:15:23.77\00:15:26.84 the rice they were taking the extract. Okay. 00:15:26.85\00:15:29.24 That active component and putting it in a capsule. 00:15:29.25\00:15:31.62 We're talking with Dr. Neil Nedley, 00:15:31.63\00:15:33.71 join us when we comeback 00:15:33.72\00:15:35.21 and talk about the placebo effect and exercise 00:15:35.27\00:15:38.75 and many other fascinating Cutting Edge Studies. 00:15:38.76\00:15:40.86 Join us when we comeback. 00:15:40.87\00:15:42.16
