Welcome to the Heavens Declare. 00:00:24.32\00:00:26.05 I'm Jim Burr, 00:00:26.09\00:00:28.12 back with the program today 00:00:28.16\00:00:29.82 to talk about science in the classroom. 00:00:29.86\00:00:32.63 The cry that we hear all the time, 00:00:32.66\00:00:35.93 "We want science in the classroom. 00:00:35.96\00:00:38.03 We don't want creation. 00:00:38.07\00:00:40.04 We don't want intelligent design. 00:00:40.07\00:00:42.04 We want science. 00:00:42.07\00:00:43.41 We want something we can test, something falsifiable and, 00:00:43.44\00:00:48.01 you know, your creation, 00:00:48.04\00:00:49.38 your intelligent design is not testable." 00:00:49.41\00:00:51.48 Folks, I want to show you how testable it is, in fact, 00:00:51.51\00:00:55.38 we are going to compare some testing 00:00:55.42\00:00:59.65 in evolutionary theory and the Bible. 00:00:59.69\00:01:05.63 And I would suggest to you 00:01:05.66\00:01:07.90 that the Bible could be more testable than science 00:01:07.93\00:01:13.40 because science is changing. 00:01:13.44\00:01:16.91 Science is constantly changing, new discoveries. 00:01:16.94\00:01:18.97 You know, this new discovery 00:01:19.01\00:01:20.74 now violates all standard physics. 00:01:20.78\00:01:22.64 So what we tested, you know, 00:01:22.68\00:01:24.28 10 years ago, now is obsolete. 00:01:24.31\00:01:26.68 And I've been collecting statements 00:01:26.72\00:01:28.68 for about 30 years, 25, 30 years 00:01:28.72\00:01:32.55 and putting them together, you know. 00:01:32.59\00:01:36.02 The universe was knocked on its head 00:01:36.06\00:01:38.23 when we discovered 00:01:38.26\00:01:39.59 it was accelerating in expansion, 00:01:39.63\00:01:41.70 you know, those kind of statements, 00:01:41.73\00:01:43.53 we just have a wealth of those statements. 00:01:43.57\00:01:47.94 And I suppose that we got to cut a little slack 00:01:47.97\00:01:52.14 for the writers, the editors, 00:01:52.17\00:01:53.51 you know, they want to get people to read their articles 00:01:53.54\00:01:59.35 so they come up with these spectacular headlines. 00:01:59.38\00:02:02.72 But it's great fodder for creationists 00:02:02.75\00:02:05.32 because of how things change. 00:02:05.35\00:02:09.06 And their testing started a long ways away, we really, 00:02:09.09\00:02:12.59 it was really hard to do any testing on the Big Bang. 00:02:12.63\00:02:15.90 We can't test the Big Bang. 00:02:15.93\00:02:17.27 They want something testable, you know, 00:02:17.30\00:02:18.63 something naturalistic and how it came about 00:02:18.67\00:02:21.94 natural without a creator. 00:02:21.97\00:02:24.64 And so I don't want to offend anybody 00:02:24.67\00:02:27.34 but let's have some fun this next two sessions, 00:02:27.38\00:02:32.91 talking about science and the Bible. 00:02:32.95\00:02:38.59 And so today, 00:02:38.62\00:02:44.63 we could study the universe. 00:02:44.66\00:02:48.13 And this happened in April 2006, 00:02:48.16\00:02:50.17 an astronomy magazine said, 00:02:50.20\00:02:51.53 "The universe continues to baffle 00:02:51.57\00:02:53.30 the great minds of our age, 00:02:53.34\00:02:56.20 96 percent of the universe is unknowable." 00:02:56.24\00:02:58.44 They can't know it because they can see it. 00:02:58.47\00:03:00.14 The actual part of what we see, the universe, is less, 00:03:00.18\00:03:03.01 it's like less than five percent. 00:03:03.04\00:03:06.11 And it can't be seen. 00:03:06.15\00:03:09.75 And we have all kinds of mysteries out there. 00:03:09.78\00:03:12.72 We have antiparticles and we know that 00:03:12.75\00:03:17.43 in the process of their theory of the Big Bang 00:03:17.46\00:03:20.80 that we should have antiparticles, 00:03:20.83\00:03:22.96 matter would be particles, 00:03:23.00\00:03:25.00 and antimatter destroys particles. 00:03:25.03\00:03:27.87 And they see that like in the colliders, 00:03:27.90\00:03:30.57 the Hadron Collider and some of those places 00:03:30.61\00:03:32.27 that they get particles, they get antiparticles, 00:03:32.31\00:03:33.88 and yet here we are. 00:03:33.91\00:03:35.24 We shouldn't be here according to that. 00:03:35.28\00:03:38.41 We have entangled particles, 00:03:38.45\00:03:39.91 particles that seem to communicate with each other. 00:03:39.95\00:03:43.02 It's called quantum physics and it blows people's mind. 00:03:43.05\00:03:46.89 It just doesn't make sense that 00:03:46.92\00:03:50.29 it's as if every particle in the universe knows 00:03:50.33\00:03:52.56 what's going on with every other particle. 00:03:52.59\00:03:56.56 Then in the process of evolution, you know, 00:03:56.60\00:04:00.34 Miller and Urey experiment, 00:04:00.37\00:04:02.67 they had created some amino acids using hydrogen, 00:04:02.70\00:04:07.71 ammonia, and methane 00:04:07.74\00:04:09.38 and what they got was 50 percent 00:04:09.41\00:04:12.01 left-handed amino acids, 00:04:12.05\00:04:13.45 50 percent right-handed. 00:04:13.48\00:04:14.98 That will not work, that will kill you, 00:04:15.02\00:04:16.79 that won't create life. 00:04:16.82\00:04:19.02 In fact, just one right-handed amino acid 00:04:19.05\00:04:21.66 will destroy anything. 00:04:21.69\00:04:24.16 And so in this series, 00:04:24.19\00:04:26.16 I want to show you one scripture 00:04:26.19\00:04:27.53 you can get at least ten doctoral degrees on, okay. 00:04:27.56\00:04:31.53 You want something you can test, 00:04:31.57\00:04:32.97 we're gonna give you some scripture you can test 00:04:33.00\00:04:34.70 and we're gonna compare Evolution and the Bible 00:04:34.74\00:04:37.47 and I'm gonna show you 00:04:37.51\00:04:38.84 how a number of cases evolution just falls on its face. 00:04:38.87\00:04:43.61 So our first subject for our class today is 00:04:43.65\00:04:48.38 going to be dark matter. 00:04:48.42\00:04:50.05 And I want to share some statements with you that, 00:04:50.09\00:04:54.02 "Astronomers have noticed that the pinwheel shapes of galaxies 00:04:54.06\00:04:57.16 like our own, they rotate so fast, 00:04:57.19\00:05:01.43 they would fly apart unless they contained extra mass, 00:05:01.46\00:05:06.37 which would provide the extra gravity needed 00:05:06.40\00:05:09.77 to hold these orbits together." 00:05:09.80\00:05:12.94 So what they're saying is the galaxies are going so fast, 00:05:12.97\00:05:15.18 they should fly apart 00:05:15.21\00:05:17.85 unless there's something we can't see. 00:05:17.88\00:05:20.55 So they come up with dark matter, 00:05:20.58\00:05:22.15 there must be dark matter. 00:05:22.18\00:05:23.52 There's something we can't see here 00:05:23.55\00:05:24.89 that's holding it all together. 00:05:24.92\00:05:26.32 It says, "Unseen matter seems needed to keep the clusters 00:05:26.35\00:05:29.39 from flying apart so they create dark matter." 00:05:29.42\00:05:36.36 An article in the US News says, 00:05:36.40\00:05:37.73 "Dark matter particles which exist for certain 00:05:37.77\00:05:40.77 only in the fertile minds of theoretical physicists." 00:05:40.80\00:05:47.04 The only place we can see dark matter 00:05:47.08\00:05:48.78 is in the fertile minds of physicists. 00:05:48.81\00:05:52.11 It's much easier to think of dark matter 00:05:52.15\00:05:54.98 candidate than to find it. 00:05:55.02\00:05:57.49 In Colossians 2:3, it says, 00:05:57.52\00:05:59.75 "In whom are hidden all the treasures 00:05:59.79\00:06:01.72 of wisdom and knowledge." 00:06:01.76\00:06:05.16 And in Colossians 1:16, 17, it says, 00:06:05.19\00:06:11.20 "For by Him all things were created that are in heaven, 00:06:11.23\00:06:14.37 that are on earth, visible and invisible, 00:06:14.40\00:06:16.50 whether they are thrones or dominions 00:06:16.54\00:06:18.07 or principalities or powers 00:06:18.11\00:06:20.34 or all things were created by Him and for Him 00:06:20.38\00:06:24.55 and He is before all things and by Him all things consist." 00:06:24.58\00:06:28.75 Or some translation would say, 00:06:28.78\00:06:30.29 "By Christ by Him all things hold together." 00:06:30.32\00:06:33.19 So when they're looking at the galaxies, 00:06:33.22\00:06:34.56 they're going like, you know, 00:06:34.59\00:06:35.92 we got all these problems 00:06:35.96\00:06:39.09 that the galaxy should be flying apart. 00:06:39.13\00:06:42.30 I mean, each individual galaxy should be expanding, 00:06:42.33\00:06:44.73 but not only that, the universe, galaxies seem, 00:06:44.77\00:06:47.80 wherever we look, 00:06:47.84\00:06:49.17 they seem to be moving away from us faster every day. 00:06:49.20\00:06:53.34 And what causes that? 00:06:53.38\00:06:54.71 Well, maybe it's a giant sucking sound. 00:06:54.74\00:06:56.58 They come up with vacuum energy, 00:06:56.61\00:06:58.35 they come up with dark energy, dark matter, 00:06:58.38\00:07:00.42 all this stuff they create to try to make it work. 00:07:00.45\00:07:03.65 But the Bible tells us, 00:07:03.69\00:07:05.02 "In Him all things hold together." 00:07:05.05\00:07:09.12 And let's see, article in US News, 00:07:09.16\00:07:12.49 I guess I read that one. 00:07:12.53\00:07:13.86 "The mystery of Dark Matter will remain." 00:07:13.90\00:07:15.60 This is from another article from US News, 00:07:15.63\00:07:18.53 the Mystery about Space, and it says, 00:07:18.57\00:07:20.44 "The mystery of Dark Matter will remain. 00:07:20.47\00:07:22.80 Its origin is the million dollar question in cosmology." 00:07:22.84\00:07:28.21 Million dollar question about dark matter. 00:07:28.24\00:07:30.71 I'd like to show you an image of dark matter, 00:07:30.75\00:07:34.22 actually bends galaxies. 00:07:34.25\00:07:37.52 And so if we have a mass in space, 00:07:37.55\00:07:42.62 something with a lot of matter, 00:07:42.66\00:07:45.89 gravity can actually bend light. 00:07:45.93\00:07:47.96 And in our first image coming up, 00:07:48.00\00:07:50.20 you'll see the effects of that. 00:07:50.23\00:07:52.37 And you actually see galaxies 00:07:52.40\00:07:54.57 bending like a lens would bend light, 00:07:54.60\00:07:57.21 you see galaxies being bent 00:07:57.24\00:08:00.08 and in an arc there around the mass in the center. 00:08:00.11\00:08:04.55 And then we have another image coming up, 00:08:04.58\00:08:07.22 which is called the Gravity's Grin. 00:08:07.25\00:08:11.29 And you can see there, 00:08:11.32\00:08:12.65 it almost looks like a smiley face. 00:08:12.69\00:08:15.06 But you see how light has been bent 00:08:15.09\00:08:16.59 in that circle around. 00:08:16.62\00:08:17.96 According to Einstein's theory of relativity, 00:08:17.99\00:08:21.23 space is bent actually, space is bent by gravity. 00:08:21.26\00:08:24.83 And so we're gonna have a class today. 00:08:24.87\00:08:27.50 I don't want to offend anybody but let's start talking about 00:08:27.54\00:08:31.91 some of these things. 00:08:31.94\00:08:33.27 Our first subject today is dark matter. 00:08:33.31\00:08:35.38 Well, okay, here's an image. 00:08:35.41\00:08:38.08 I think they've found dark matter, 00:08:38.11\00:08:39.51 the next image actually will show you 00:08:39.55\00:08:41.52 what they think this is dark matter, 00:08:41.55\00:08:43.65 okay, maybe. 00:08:43.69\00:08:46.76 And dark matter is invoked to explain 00:08:46.79\00:08:49.32 gravitational affects upon visual matter, 00:08:49.36\00:08:52.59 dark energy is 70 percent of all 00:08:52.63\00:08:56.40 the mass energy in the universe, 00:08:56.43\00:08:58.07 another 23 percent is dark matter, 00:08:58.10\00:09:00.47 which leaves only 4 percent of visible matter, 00:09:00.50\00:09:03.20 visible light. 00:09:03.24\00:09:04.74 So our first class will be on dark matter. 00:09:04.77\00:09:07.54 For that, we'll go to 00:09:07.58\00:09:08.91 Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 00:09:08.94\00:09:10.68 Let's ask Max Tegmark, a professor at MIT. 00:09:10.71\00:09:14.62 MIT, one of the most prestigious institutes around. 00:09:14.65\00:09:17.99 What does Max Tegmark say about dark matter? 00:09:18.02\00:09:21.49 He says, "Dark Matter is a code word for our ignorance." 00:09:21.52\00:09:27.26 Sorry, class, we didn't get very far there. 00:09:27.30\00:09:30.33 He says, "Some people think it might be a reflection 00:09:30.37\00:09:36.24 that we got gravity wrong again." 00:09:36.27\00:09:40.21 Science wrong again? 00:09:40.24\00:09:43.95 That's what Max Tegmark says. 00:09:43.98\00:09:47.12 Dark energy, the class today, 00:09:47.15\00:09:50.42 question for the class is what do we know 00:09:50.45\00:09:51.89 for sure about dark energy? 00:09:51.92\00:09:54.39 Dark energy's precise nature is the most profound puzzle 00:09:54.42\00:10:01.30 that physicists are facing today. 00:10:01.33\00:10:03.50 Dark energy, 00:10:03.53\00:10:05.07 which we don't know if it's there 00:10:05.10\00:10:06.43 but this is what was created to explain 00:10:06.47\00:10:09.54 how we see the universe working. 00:10:09.57\00:10:13.34 "Dark energy's precise nature is the most profound puzzle 00:10:13.38\00:10:18.68 that physicists are facing today." 00:10:18.71\00:10:21.08 And that was in Sky and Telescope 00:10:21.12\00:10:22.45 page 22, June 2010. 00:10:22.48\00:10:25.09 World famous astrophysicist says, 00:10:25.12\00:10:28.82 "Dark energy is something we have no clue 00:10:28.86\00:10:31.39 as to what's causing it. 00:10:31.43\00:10:33.90 It doesn't fit any of our current 00:10:33.93\00:10:35.33 physical physics theories." 00:10:35.36\00:10:37.90 This from Perlmutter and Lawrence Berkeley says, 00:10:37.93\00:10:43.64 "Dark energy is something 00:10:43.67\00:10:45.01 we have no clue as to what is causing it. 00:10:45.04\00:10:47.71 It doesn't fit any of our current theories." 00:10:47.74\00:10:49.84 And they have to develop new approaches to explain it, 00:10:49.88\00:10:52.91 said Perlmutter astrophysicists from Berkeley. 00:10:52.95\00:10:56.82 I'm sorry, class, 00:10:56.85\00:10:58.19 we're not getting too far today, I guess, 00:10:58.22\00:11:00.16 in being able to test dark energy, dark matter, 00:11:00.19\00:11:03.46 and learn all we can learn about the universe, 00:11:03.49\00:11:05.43 it's 96 percent unknowable. 00:11:05.46\00:11:07.60 It can't be known, it changes. 00:11:07.63\00:11:09.20 Our books are obsolete, you know, 00:11:09.23\00:11:11.07 every, every short time. 00:11:11.10\00:11:13.80 So our class today, 00:11:13.84\00:11:15.34 we're gonna talk about the accelerating universe. 00:11:15.37\00:11:17.37 We know now that the universe is expanding and accelerating. 00:11:17.41\00:11:21.18 And Sky and Telescope Magazine in July of 2001 says 00:11:21.21\00:11:26.88 that the accelerating universe violates all standard physics. 00:11:26.92\00:11:31.55 So if you want something you can test, 00:11:31.59\00:11:33.72 you have no way of testing that. 00:11:33.76\00:11:36.39 An astronomy article on astronomy says that 00:11:36.42\00:11:39.29 the accelerating universe threw scientists for a loop. 00:11:39.33\00:11:44.67 And that was actually from 00:11:44.70\00:11:49.17 the astronomy website Science, 00:11:49.20\00:11:51.67 how stuff works. 00:11:51.71\00:11:53.61 "Discoveries that the universe's 00:11:53.64\00:11:54.98 expansion was accelerating threw 00:11:55.01\00:11:58.48 the scientific community in disarray." 00:11:58.51\00:12:00.92 Threw them for a loop, it threw them for a disarray, 00:12:00.95\00:12:03.75 and yet we want something solid we can test, okay. 00:12:03.79\00:12:07.76 Contrary to all expectations, the expansion of the universe 00:12:07.79\00:12:11.36 actually seems to be significantly speeding up. 00:12:11.39\00:12:14.43 This may rescue the Big Bang theory 00:12:14.46\00:12:17.83 from being completely untenable, okay. 00:12:17.87\00:12:22.60 Job 9:8, says that, 00:12:22.64\00:12:25.07 "He alone stretched out the heavens." 00:12:25.11\00:12:27.41 Science says, dark matter, dark energy, vacuum energy, 00:12:27.44\00:12:31.38 the Bible says, "He alone has done it." 00:12:31.41\00:12:35.08 He stretched in Isaiah 40:22, 00:12:35.12\00:12:37.95 "He stretched out the heavens like a canopy. 00:12:37.99\00:12:40.62 He spread them out like a tent to live in. 00:12:40.66\00:12:43.32 He stretches out the heavens like a tent." 00:12:43.36\00:12:45.33 And again in Psalm 104:2 00:12:45.36\00:12:50.03 and we know that our Bible says 17 times 00:12:50.07\00:12:55.60 that God stretches out the heavens, 00:12:55.64\00:12:58.37 He spread them out, stretches out, 00:12:58.41\00:13:00.14 seems to be what science sees happening. 00:13:00.18\00:13:04.78 Okay, class, our question for today is 00:13:04.81\00:13:06.72 what do we know for sure about the universe? 00:13:06.75\00:13:09.05 Well, we mentioned that 00:13:09.08\00:13:10.42 96 percent of the universe is unknowable, 00:13:10.45\00:13:12.65 96 percent of the universe can't be seen. 00:13:12.69\00:13:15.59 We can't see this dark matter. 00:13:15.62\00:13:18.23 In Colossians 2:3, it says, 00:13:18.26\00:13:20.00 "In Him are hid all the treasures 00:13:20.03\00:13:21.60 of wisdom and knowledge. 00:13:21.63\00:13:23.23 "His ways are past finding out," 00:13:23.26\00:13:24.73 it says in Job 9:9. 00:13:24.77\00:13:27.10 And there was an article in The God Particle page 157 00:13:27.14\00:13:33.84 that I thought was kind of interesting 00:13:33.88\00:13:35.21 and it said there that, 00:13:35.24\00:13:36.58 "The brain may never be prepared 00:13:36.61\00:13:38.91 for the mysteries of quantum physics." 00:13:38.95\00:13:41.28 I mention that a little bit. 00:13:41.32\00:13:42.65 The fact that the universe seemed, 00:13:42.68\00:13:44.22 every atom in the universe seems to be tied 00:13:44.25\00:13:45.82 with other atoms, 00:13:45.85\00:13:47.19 they seem to know what's going on. 00:13:47.22\00:13:48.56 And so in this book The God Particle, it says, 00:13:48.59\00:13:53.63 "The brain may never be prepared 00:13:53.66\00:13:55.26 for the mysteries of quantum physics. 00:13:55.30\00:13:58.30 It's entanglement. 00:13:58.33\00:13:59.67 It needs to evolve more." 00:13:59.70\00:14:01.77 Your brain needs to evolve more 00:14:01.80\00:14:04.77 before it can be prepared for quantum mechanics. 00:14:04.81\00:14:10.38 Okay, they claim 00:14:10.41\00:14:11.75 the Big Bang Evolution is good established science. 00:14:11.78\00:14:13.85 Is the Big Bang... 00:14:13.88\00:14:16.08 No, folks, the Big Bang is not good established science. 00:14:16.12\00:14:19.29 I can show you 3,000 scientists 00:14:19.32\00:14:22.12 who signed a statement saying 00:14:22.16\00:14:23.49 we've got problems with the Big Bang. 00:14:23.53\00:14:25.23 There was two conferences, 00:14:25.26\00:14:26.59 one held in Portugal and one was held here 00:14:26.63\00:14:28.63 in the States called, A Crisis in Cosmology, 00:14:28.66\00:14:32.53 a crisis. 00:14:32.57\00:14:34.50 Thirty professors, PhDs have written papers 00:14:34.54\00:14:37.64 showing the problems with the Big Bang. 00:14:37.67\00:14:40.68 And like George Smoot said, you know, 00:14:40.71\00:14:43.55 "Typically, we don't jump to something new until..." 00:14:43.58\00:14:46.21 "I mean, we don't leave something 00:14:46.25\00:14:47.58 until we got something to jump to. 00:14:47.62\00:14:48.95 And right now the Big Bang is all we have, okay." 00:14:48.98\00:14:54.06 And another article that said 00:14:54.09\00:14:56.76 "How can scientists keep a straight face 00:14:56.79\00:14:59.26 crisis in cosmology?" 00:14:59.29\00:15:00.63 There were six profound questions. 00:15:00.66\00:15:04.83 And it was an article actually in Sky and Telescope Magazine, 00:15:04.87\00:15:08.24 "How can astronomers keep a straight face. 00:15:08.27\00:15:11.34 In that case, they had five profound questions 00:15:11.37\00:15:13.68 that they cannot answer, science cannot answer." 00:15:13.71\00:15:16.34 And yet they present it to the public 00:15:16.38\00:15:18.08 as an idea that Big Bang is a fact, 00:15:18.11\00:15:20.12 it's solid, testable, proven science. 00:15:20.15\00:15:22.82 And they are arguing over five major areas of that. 00:15:22.85\00:15:27.32 We had an article in Scientific American 00:15:27.36\00:15:29.89 special issue of Scientific America 00:15:29.92\00:15:31.99 on the cosmic life cycle. 00:15:32.03\00:15:33.73 They said in there that, 00:15:33.76\00:15:35.10 "The Big Bang has no explanation 00:15:35.13\00:15:37.33 apart from dumb luck 00:15:37.37\00:15:39.07 on how the universe was created." 00:15:39.10\00:15:42.37 In case you joined us late, 00:15:42.40\00:15:43.74 we're talking about science in the classroom 00:15:43.77\00:15:45.27 because the cry we hear 00:15:45.31\00:15:46.64 throughout the land is we want science, 00:15:46.68\00:15:48.18 we want something we can test, 00:15:48.21\00:15:49.81 and we're showing how science is constantly changing, 00:15:49.84\00:15:52.51 books are constantly becoming rewritten, 00:15:52.55\00:15:54.52 they're out of date, and yet your Bible held true. 00:15:54.55\00:15:58.25 And we're gonna show you some statements from the Bible 00:15:58.29\00:15:59.99 that will show how it has held statements 00:16:00.02\00:16:03.36 that are scientifically accurate today. 00:16:03.39\00:16:08.40 The problem with astronomy and cosmologist is that 00:16:08.43\00:16:10.93 new discoveries are constantly being made 00:16:10.97\00:16:12.93 and old theories and books become obsoletee 00:16:12.97\00:16:15.80 but not so with the Bible. 00:16:15.84\00:16:19.94 I was watching Nova. 00:16:19.97\00:16:22.28 And this telecast, 00:16:22.31\00:16:29.15 it was saying that, 00:16:29.18\00:16:30.65 "Our large telescopes are changing everything. 00:16:30.69\00:16:34.86 Large telescopes are changing everything 00:16:34.89\00:16:37.69 we thought we knew about the universe." 00:16:37.73\00:16:40.60 So once again, the cry of we want science, 00:16:40.63\00:16:42.23 something we can test, and here they're saying, 00:16:42.26\00:16:44.00 these large telescopes are changing everything. 00:16:44.03\00:16:46.70 So you see, if you're gonna test it, 00:16:46.74\00:16:48.40 it's gonna constantly be changing. 00:16:48.44\00:16:52.34 So how much do we know? 00:16:52.37\00:16:57.85 I know we need to cut these writers some slack. 00:16:57.88\00:17:02.95 These articles, 00:17:02.98\00:17:04.69 they want people to read the articles, 00:17:04.72\00:17:06.05 so we've got to cut them some slack. 00:17:06.09\00:17:08.22 "The expansion of the universe has not been slowing down 00:17:08.26\00:17:10.99 due to gravity." 00:17:11.03\00:17:12.36 You'd think that as the universe is expanding, 00:17:12.39\00:17:13.86 eventually, gravity 00:17:13.90\00:17:15.46 'cause everything in the universe is affected by, 00:17:15.50\00:17:17.50 you know, the gravity of everything else. 00:17:17.53\00:17:19.37 So would expand, expand, expand, 00:17:19.40\00:17:21.34 pretty soon it would stop expanding and come back 00:17:21.37\00:17:24.01 and do like a big crunch, but it is not. 00:17:24.04\00:17:27.74 It seems to be going faster. 00:17:27.78\00:17:33.15 It is the Lord that says, He who created the heavens, 00:17:33.18\00:17:37.15 He is God, He who fashioned and made the earth. 00:17:37.19\00:17:40.56 He founded it, 00:17:40.59\00:17:41.92 He did not create it to be empty 00:17:41.96\00:17:43.66 but He formed it to be inhabited. 00:17:43.69\00:17:47.00 There's one scripture you could get ten doctors on. 00:17:47.03\00:17:49.30 The Bible says, "He created the earth. 00:17:49.33\00:17:50.70 He did not make it in vain. 00:17:50.73\00:17:52.23 He created it to be inhabited." 00:17:52.27\00:17:54.14 And it's called the anthropic principle 00:17:54.17\00:17:55.84 and we could give you 100 to maybe 200 different things 00:17:55.87\00:17:59.31 about our earth that show 00:17:59.34\00:18:00.88 it was carefully designed for us. 00:18:00.91\00:18:03.35 And it has all these parameters, 00:18:03.38\00:18:05.08 they're called constants, 00:18:05.11\00:18:06.55 constants, things that have to remain constant. 00:18:06.58\00:18:09.48 We're gonna get into that in the next program 00:18:09.52\00:18:11.19 and go over some of those constants. 00:18:11.22\00:18:12.65 If they varied even just 00:18:12.69\00:18:14.02 to the slightest amount, you know, 00:18:14.06\00:18:17.23 we would not exist here, the earth, 00:18:17.26\00:18:21.20 the position of the earth, the location of the earth, 00:18:21.23\00:18:22.56 the rotation of the earth. 00:18:22.60\00:18:23.93 Just think, if the rotation was changed, 00:18:23.97\00:18:25.83 how that would affect us? 00:18:25.87\00:18:27.20 If it took 12 hours to rotate, you know, 00:18:27.24\00:18:30.17 we would just cook to death and freeze. 00:18:30.21\00:18:33.01 If it went you know every 48 hours, 00:18:33.04\00:18:36.54 it would never heat enough and cool enough. 00:18:36.58\00:18:39.18 The position to the sun, the radiation, 00:18:39.21\00:18:41.28 the magnetic field protects us from radiation from the sun, 00:18:41.32\00:18:46.12 the moon keeps the ocean aerated. 00:18:46.15\00:18:48.79 We see so many things about the earth, the albedo, 00:18:48.82\00:18:51.89 the amount of the reflectively from the earth 00:18:51.93\00:18:54.30 from the solar wind, you know, 00:18:54.33\00:18:55.66 the sun, you know, is very critical, 00:18:55.70\00:18:57.93 so many, many things. 00:18:57.97\00:18:59.90 If you want to test something, you can test that, 00:18:59.93\00:19:05.87 the fact that this earth looks like 00:19:05.91\00:19:08.21 it was created for us. 00:19:08.24\00:19:09.58 The Bible says that it was 00:19:09.61\00:19:12.11 it was not created in vain, 00:19:12.15\00:19:15.38 it was created for man. 00:19:15.42\00:19:17.82 Another article I was reading, it says, 00:19:17.85\00:19:19.25 "The strange repulsive force of dark energy 00:19:19.29\00:19:22.12 pervades every nook and cranny of the universe." 00:19:22.16\00:19:24.86 A team of scientists said it 00:19:24.89\00:19:26.23 also has astrophysicists' heads spinning. 00:19:26.26\00:19:30.87 Their heads are spinning, okay, this dark energy. 00:19:30.90\00:19:36.50 And then they go on, 00:19:36.54\00:19:37.87 "As if the mysteries of dark energy 00:19:37.91\00:19:40.41 and dark matter were not enough, 00:19:40.44\00:19:42.48 another baffling cosmic puzzle has been discovered. 00:19:42.51\00:19:48.05 Patches of matter in the universe 00:19:48.08\00:19:49.98 seem to be moving at very high speeds 00:19:50.02\00:19:52.79 and in a uniform direction that can't be explained by 00:19:52.82\00:19:55.72 any other known gravitational force. 00:19:55.76\00:20:00.03 In the observable universe, 00:20:00.06\00:20:02.36 astronomers are calling the phenomena dark flow 00:20:02.40\00:20:07.07 or a river of galaxies. 00:20:07.10\00:20:08.74 The stuff that is pulling this matter 00:20:08.77\00:20:10.81 must be outside the observable universe." 00:20:10.84\00:20:15.44 Researchers concluded, 00:20:15.48\00:20:17.38 "The dark flow is the latest in a long line of phenomena 00:20:17.41\00:20:23.18 that has threatened 00:20:23.22\00:20:26.59 to rewrite the textbooks," dark flow. 00:20:26.62\00:20:30.26 We've been saying, are there more multiverses, 00:20:30.29\00:20:33.40 are there many universes 00:20:33.43\00:20:34.76 or is it just this universe that we can see. 00:20:34.80\00:20:36.70 Are there other universe? 00:20:36.73\00:20:38.07 Of course, we don't know, nobody knows. 00:20:38.10\00:20:40.04 We can't see beyond that farthest galaxy. 00:20:40.07\00:20:42.84 The Bible does say that 00:20:42.87\00:20:44.21 the heaven of heavens cannot contain God. 00:20:44.24\00:20:46.27 Bible talks about the first heaven, 00:20:46.31\00:20:48.51 which is the firmament in Genesis 1:8 00:20:48.54\00:20:50.85 the firmament God called heaven. 00:20:50.88\00:20:52.91 That's the sky and the focus of Genesis 1 is the earth, 00:20:52.95\00:20:55.58 the earth, the earth, 21 times the earth. 00:20:55.62\00:20:59.42 And so but He interprets the heavens 00:20:59.45\00:21:02.42 and this creation account, 00:21:02.46\00:21:03.86 I'm talking about the firmament. 00:21:03.89\00:21:06.96 And so it threatens this new discovery. 00:21:07.00\00:21:13.84 So is there other universe? 00:21:13.87\00:21:15.50 The first heaven, second heaven, third heaven, 00:21:15.54\00:21:17.17 the Bible talks about the heaven of heavens, 00:21:17.21\00:21:18.87 it says, the heaven of heavens cannot contain God. 00:21:18.91\00:21:21.81 He is beyond the heaven of heavens. 00:21:21.84\00:21:23.48 Does that mean there are more than one universe, 00:21:23.51\00:21:25.51 many universes? 00:21:25.55\00:21:27.05 We don't know. 00:21:27.08\00:21:28.42 But they're suggesting in this article on dark flow 00:21:28.45\00:21:31.15 if you look up dark flow. 00:21:31.19\00:21:32.65 They think maybe there's another universe 00:21:32.69\00:21:35.19 that's pulling this matter. 00:21:35.22\00:21:37.53 "And this brand new dark flow is the latest..." 00:21:37.56\00:21:42.76 I love this. 00:21:42.80\00:21:44.33 "Is the latest in a long line of phenomena 00:21:44.37\00:21:47.14 that have threatened to rewrite the textbooks." 00:21:47.17\00:21:51.27 Now we want something, we want real science, 00:21:51.31\00:21:52.97 something we can test, 00:21:53.01\00:21:54.34 it was changing constantly but not your Bible. 00:21:54.38\00:21:59.05 You know, the Bible says, there was a flood. 00:21:59.08\00:22:03.65 You can test that. 00:22:03.69\00:22:05.02 We can go to the top of every mountain 00:22:05.05\00:22:07.06 and you can see all kinds of shells 00:22:07.09\00:22:09.52 and water life and things like that. 00:22:09.56\00:22:11.23 We look at... 00:22:11.26\00:22:12.73 I'm gonna be bringing in the next series, 00:22:12.76\00:22:14.10 I'm gonna show you a fossil fish. 00:22:14.13\00:22:15.60 I've got a block of fossil fish as flat as a piece of paper. 00:22:15.63\00:22:21.64 And in this block, you can look on the sides 00:22:21.67\00:22:23.77 and you'll see another fish, another fish, another fish, 00:22:23.81\00:22:26.44 all the way around, 00:22:26.47\00:22:27.81 they're flat is a piece of paper. 00:22:27.84\00:22:29.18 How do you get a fossil fish? 00:22:29.21\00:22:30.71 You throw a fish on the beach, 00:22:30.75\00:22:32.08 what's going to happen? 00:22:32.11\00:22:33.45 It would be gone in two days. 00:22:33.48\00:22:34.82 The birds are gonna come and eat it 00:22:34.85\00:22:36.18 and the worms and it will be nothing 00:22:36.22\00:22:37.55 but bones in two days. 00:22:37.59\00:22:38.92 How do you get a fossil fish? 00:22:38.95\00:22:40.29 You've got to cover it up. 00:22:40.32\00:22:41.66 You've got to flatten it out with dirt, 00:22:41.69\00:22:43.02 like in the flood 00:22:43.06\00:22:44.39 where the fountains of the deep opened up 00:22:44.43\00:22:45.76 and buried everything. 00:22:45.79\00:22:47.13 So we see, you know, 00:22:47.16\00:22:49.46 evidence for a flood the Bible says, 00:22:49.50\00:22:52.50 "There was a flood." 00:22:52.53\00:22:56.60 Evolution says, 00:22:56.64\00:22:59.81 everything is just going to happen, okay, 00:22:59.84\00:23:01.58 we have 10 million, 00:23:01.61\00:23:02.94 maybe, 15 million species on earth. 00:23:02.98\00:23:04.41 Everything came through this little microorganism. 00:23:04.45\00:23:06.72 They cannot tell you how that came, 00:23:06.75\00:23:08.75 how the first life. 00:23:08.78\00:23:10.12 They cannot tell you how first life came to be." 00:23:10.15\00:23:13.49 and they say but evolution 00:23:13.52\00:23:14.86 doesn't have to do with the abiogenesis, 00:23:14.89\00:23:17.76 the origin of origin of life, 00:23:17.79\00:23:19.76 it has to do with the evolution of life, 00:23:19.79\00:23:22.60 how it has evolved through copying, 00:23:22.63\00:23:25.10 mutations in the DNA, 00:23:25.13\00:23:27.44 and the letter codes, 00:23:27.47\00:23:29.44 and then through natural selection, 00:23:29.47\00:23:33.91 it builds on little beneficial mutations. 00:23:33.94\00:23:36.75 Please give me some beneficial mutations. 00:23:36.78\00:23:38.71 I would like to see some beneficial mutations. 00:23:38.75\00:23:41.38 And they go like 00:23:41.42\00:23:42.75 "Well, bacteria became immune to penicillin or whatever." 00:23:42.78\00:23:46.32 They have these little tiny things. 00:23:46.35\00:23:47.76 And yes, there is change, there definitely is change, 00:23:47.79\00:23:51.69 you can take a couple of dogs and you can breed them 00:23:51.73\00:23:53.90 and end up with 100 different varieties of dog. 00:23:53.93\00:23:56.30 In that gene pool is a structure 00:23:56.33\00:23:58.30 that makes short hair, long hair, 00:23:58.33\00:23:59.73 cute little dogs, big dogs, 00:23:59.77\00:24:01.74 and you end up with Great Danes and all sorts of things, 00:24:01.77\00:24:03.87 but there's no information 00:24:03.91\00:24:05.84 there to get from an amoeba to an elephant 00:24:05.87\00:24:07.78 or amoeba to a bat or a hummingbird or a mango, 00:24:07.81\00:24:12.55 you see. 00:24:12.58\00:24:13.92 So evolution says, it is, I mean, millions times, 00:24:13.95\00:24:15.28 it just happens. 00:24:15.32\00:24:16.65 So let's test evolution, let's test the Bible. 00:24:16.69\00:24:18.49 Okay. 00:24:18.52\00:24:20.32 Evolution just happens. 00:24:20.36\00:24:21.69 It just happens okay, so give me an egg from a cat 00:24:21.72\00:24:23.93 and a sperm from a dog. 00:24:23.96\00:24:25.29 I've got everything for a life. 00:24:25.33\00:24:26.66 I got DNA, I got RNA, I got chromosomes. 00:24:26.70\00:24:28.83 I got mitochondria, 00:24:28.86\00:24:30.27 I got the letter codes and the DNA. 00:24:30.30\00:24:33.23 I got everything for life, an egg and a sperm, 00:24:33.27\00:24:35.50 evolution just happens millions and millions times from, 00:24:35.54\00:24:37.97 you know, it's cross species if evolution. 00:24:38.01\00:24:41.71 But if that works, 00:24:41.74\00:24:43.08 if cross species evolution works, 00:24:43.11\00:24:44.65 then I have everything for life, 00:24:44.68\00:24:46.01 an egg and a sperm, 00:24:46.05\00:24:47.38 egg from cat, a sperm from a dog, 00:24:47.42\00:24:48.75 it will not work. 00:24:48.78\00:24:50.95 And this is because your Bible says... 00:24:50.99\00:24:52.79 You want something you can test? 00:24:52.82\00:24:54.16 Your Bible says they reproduce after their kind that. 00:24:54.19\00:24:57.43 It will not work. 00:24:57.46\00:24:58.79 The Bible says it won't work. 00:24:58.83\00:25:00.16 Evolution says, it will work. 00:25:00.20\00:25:01.53 Well, test it. 00:25:01.56\00:25:02.90 You want to test evolution? 00:25:02.93\00:25:04.27 Test it. It will not work. 00:25:04.30\00:25:06.43 The Bible had it right all along. 00:25:06.47\00:25:09.40 The Bible has come through even though Galileo said, you know, 00:25:09.44\00:25:12.91 the Bible doesn't tell us how the heavens go. 00:25:12.94\00:25:15.44 The Bible tells us how to go to heaven 00:25:15.48\00:25:17.98 and yet over and over again, 00:25:18.01\00:25:19.58 when I see the Bible writers were prevented 00:25:19.61\00:25:22.22 from following the errors of the time. 00:25:22.25\00:25:24.35 When the errors of the time were 00:25:24.39\00:25:26.05 we know there's 6, 000 stars in the sky 00:25:26.09\00:25:29.82 before the telescope. 00:25:29.86\00:25:31.36 Okay, in Jeremiah 33:22, Genesis 22, 00:25:31.39\00:25:34.46 Hebrews 11 says, 00:25:34.50\00:25:35.83 "The stars are like sands of the seashore." 00:25:35.86\00:25:38.00 Innumerable, you cannot count. 00:25:38.03\00:25:39.47 Can you count the sand? 00:25:39.50\00:25:41.07 Can you count the sand in a bucket of sand? 00:25:41.10\00:25:44.67 You see, and so the Bible says, 00:25:44.71\00:25:48.98 "The sands of the seashore 00:25:49.01\00:25:50.35 and innumerable like the stars of heaven." 00:25:50.38\00:25:51.71 Well, scientists today are quoting 00:25:51.75\00:25:54.58 Jeremiah, 3, 000 years ago. 00:25:54.62\00:25:56.32 Jeremiah wrote it. 00:25:56.35\00:25:57.69 Scientists today say 00:25:57.72\00:25:59.42 that they think if you took all the sand 00:25:59.45\00:26:01.46 on all the beaches on earth 00:26:01.49\00:26:05.06 that they would be roughly equivalent 00:26:05.09\00:26:06.59 to all the stars in the known universe. 00:26:06.63\00:26:08.83 Yes, our sun is part of the Milky Way Galaxy, 00:26:08.86\00:26:11.03 we have a 100 billion, maybe 200 billion, 00:26:11.07\00:26:14.14 depending on which book you read, 00:26:14.17\00:26:15.84 and these stars are going around the galaxy. 00:26:15.87\00:26:18.27 Stars in the center are just screaming around 00:26:18.31\00:26:20.11 every 20 years, 00:26:20.14\00:26:21.48 they're just screaming around but stars on the outer edge 00:26:21.51\00:26:24.18 may take 100 million years for them to go around 00:26:24.21\00:26:26.58 because they're so far out 00:26:26.61\00:26:28.02 trying to catch up with the stars in the center. 00:26:28.05\00:26:32.35 And so the Bible, you know, 00:26:32.39\00:26:35.02 had had it correct when it says 00:26:35.06\00:26:37.56 that stars are innumerable 00:26:37.59\00:26:39.76 and we believe there are as many galaxies out there 00:26:39.79\00:26:42.33 as there are stars in our galaxy. 00:26:42.36\00:26:44.57 We think depending on which book you read, 00:26:44.60\00:26:46.10 100, maybe 200, 00:26:46.13\00:26:47.47 some books may tell you 00:26:47.50\00:26:48.84 there's 300 billion in our Milky Way Galaxy 00:26:48.87\00:26:52.37 and there are that many galaxies, they believe, 00:26:52.41\00:26:55.21 as many as there are stars in our galaxy. 00:26:55.24\00:26:57.61 Well, on these programs, our time just slips away 00:26:57.65\00:27:00.45 and we're happy that you're watching our program 00:27:00.48\00:27:05.65 on Heavens Declare. 00:27:05.69\00:27:07.19 My name is Jim Burr. 00:27:07.22\00:27:08.56 We look forward to seeing you again next week. 00:27:08.59\00:27:10.99 And my appeal is to you, 00:27:11.03\00:27:12.83 the Bible says that you can seek Him and find Him 00:27:12.86\00:27:15.30 if you search for Him. 00:27:15.33\00:27:16.67 Folks, search for Him with all your heart 00:27:16.70\00:27:18.80 because the Bible says He will not cast you away 00:27:18.83\00:27:21.84 and that you can find Him 00:27:21.87\00:27:23.30 if you search for Him with all your heart. 00:27:23.34\00:27:25.94 I want to thank you again for watching Heavens Declare. 00:27:25.97\00:27:29.81
