but something else.

And so I'm going to just
read part of the question here,

I'll read part of it

a few thoughts with her

She's from South
Africa, and she says that,

"As an Adventist
and raising her son,

I guess to be one as well,

that he finally he decided
to almost four years ago now,

he decided one day
to marry a Muslim."

And it says that,

she's worried about
certain verses in the Bible

that could mean that she
will be judged or destroyed
00:03:38.55\00:03:40.85
because she allowed her
son to marry this woman.

And doesn't talk much
about what their life is now
00:03:45.09\00:03:48.12
but, she just
feeling a lot of anxiety

about that here of late.

And she
mentions Deuteronomy 7:3,

so I'll read that here
just so we can get some context

as to what she's thinking about.

She says, talk about 7:3,

which says this "Nor shall
you make marriages with them,"

speaking of the other
nations around Israel,

"Don't make marriages with them.

You shall not give
your daughter to their son,

nor take their
daughter for your son.

For they will turn your
sons away from following Me,

to serve other gods

so the anger of the Lord
will be aroused against you

So she's taking
this as something

that is occurring,
possibly occurring in her life.

And I want to encourage Virginia

that that is not
in fact the case.

What this is
speaking about specifically

is this practice
back then of nations

marrying off their
wives or their daughters

and their sons to other nations
to bring peace agreements.

And it's a deliberate
intention of the parents

to engage in this
connection with somebody
00:04:53.66\00:04:57.76
outside of their family to
bring about peace or harmony

between the two.

And this is not
what's going on here.

I don't see
anywhere that Virginia was,

in some
intentional act of making sure

that her son was
marrying outside of their faith

as being Seventh-day
Adventist or being Christian.

The Christians marrying
Muslims will bring challenges

because we both
have different ideas,

different perspectives,
different words of God.

And I think that she is probably

torn up a bit about that

because she's seeing
maybe some of the results

of that
relationship coming together.

And it says here, the
reason you don't do this

they will lose their faith,

essentially is what
Moses is writing here

and what God is telling Moses
here in Deuteronomy Chapter 7.

It also says in
the New Testament

that, we should
not be unequally yoked.

And so the principle there

is that we should not
open ourselves up to marriage

that has two different
fleece, two different religions

that will bring just
disharmony into the marriage.

Plus, it will
inevitably cause the one

that has a true faith
in God to lose that faith

and to fall into
the error of the other

or maybe just lose
their faith in God altogether.

And so I would suggest this,
Virginia, pray for your son,

and pray for his
wife, and their family.

The Lord has a way of restoring

what sometimes we think

a situation that is hopeless is.

And so God can bring

a true faith back into that home

but they do need prayer,

of maybe you're going to be
judged or condemned for this.

their kids to do the right thing

that it can actually drive
their children away from God.

And so I think you have to be
careful of doing that as well.

Our kids reach a certain age

where they do have to
make decisions for themselves.

The best thing we can
do is train up a child

in the way that
we want them to go

and if they choose a
different path at some point

we need to be praying
for them so that the Bible,

they said about him is,

about Seventh-day Adventist,
they don't believe in hell.

And I thought, that's
not true, that's not true.

We believe in a hotter hell

than the rest of
the Christian world.

that will leave them
