Now it's interesting there.

He doesn't say and I say
I'll pray the Father for you.

He says, I do not say that I
will pray the Father for you.

In other words, when
you're praying in My name,

you're not asking Me to go

and take that
prayer to your Father.

You-- I want you to take that
prayer to the Father directly.

And here is why we know that.

Look at verse 27.

"For the Father
Himself loves you,

because you have loved Me,

and have believed that
I came forth from God."

In other words, when you pray,
"Our Father who art in heaven"

know that you're in
the audience chamber

of your Father and
you come in My name

and My
righteousness, in My authority

which gives you
the right to be there.

But it doesn't mean
that I'm taking your prayers

mixing them up
and will pray for you.

Now this doesn't mean
that Jesus doesn't pray for us

because I believe
He does pray for us.

But what He is
trying to say here is

when you say our Father know

that your prayers are been
heard directly by the Father.

And so this is
an important thing

because as you're praying

the Father who is the
first person of the Godhead

is teaching that here.

But nowhere in the

we need to be recognizing

necessarily
everyone of the Godhead,

Jesus is basically
saying here, "Go to the Father.

Pray to him directly."

Now in prayers as
you're talking to God,

to a friend many times,

you do mention Jesus.

authority of our own.

but in John 14 when

when He says here "I am the way,

the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the
Father except through Me."

And you couple that
with John where he says,

whatever you ask in My
name the father hears you.

Because we have
to keep in mind that

this middle wall of partition

which was something that
the Jews didn't recognize

that's why John 14
was so significant.

He says, you
believe in the Father

believe also in Me.

And today in our
world you can see that

there're lot of people that say,

well I just give you an example.

There is rapper called KRS1
00:08:32.96\00:08:35.13
and I have been doing this
research in a cult industry.

And he says, I believe I
could go directly to the Father.
00:08:38.23\00:08:41.58
I don't have to
go through anybody,
00:08:41.61\00:08:43.21
through any other
person, through any others,
00:08:43.24\00:08:46.27
through any other medium.

And what he is
doing in essence there

which is what Jesus,

which is what Jesus discouraged
the Jews from doing was--

ignoring His authority.

If you believe in
God, yeah, you do.

Because there is one mediator

But there's a lead
into that that we often miss

when it comes to prayer.

Look at Romans 8:26.

It says, "Likewise the Spirit
also helps in our weaknesses.

For we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought."

But this is where
the spirit comes in.

"But the Spirit Himself
makes intercession for us

which cannot be uttered."

"Now He who searches"
the heart or "the hearts

mind of the Spirit is."

Who is the one
searching the hearts?

"The Father is. Get this.

"He who
searches the hearts knows

what the mind of the spirit is,

because He makes
intercession for the saints

according to the will of God."

So you have in this
one passage of the Father,

you've the son,
you've the Holy Spirit

searching the heart,
the Lord who is the one that

between us and the Father

So what's
happening is when people say

well, how should I pray?

This was the significant thing

because the disciples themselves

who were chosen by God
didn't know how to pray.

And when he began
that prayer he said.

Our Father which art in heaven.

And then-- so they knew that

okay, well, our prayers
are going to the prayer.

you believe in God

But the one who
actually takes our prayers

come before the Father

We're asking for a request

so that we may waste
it on our own selves.

So the Lord,
that's what he says,

God will supply all of our need

riches and glory.

So in a nutshell yes, we're
praying directly to the Father

but the Spirit takes that prayer

weakness of our prayer

acceptable before the Father

in behalf of
that fledgling saint

we saw the example

who make an issue out

that there is a love
that comes from them.

There is work that each
one of them are involved with

when it comes to communication
between man and God. Right.

Well, our prayers are going
I mean, directly to the Father.

Jesus has a very-- a key role

in allowing those to
prayers to be acceptable.

The Holy Spirit has a key role

and helping us in understand

So in every respect
they all do something

we find a scripture

young lady we met over

Asian young lady.

At that particular point
she came from an atheist home.
