talk about the law of God,

topic that contrasts the law

that is still in force today.

compared one against the other.

to Matthew 25 and verse 41.

That's Matthew 25 and verse 41,

where the Lord
makes it very clear

purpose of hell is.

Now, hell has never
been prepared for people,

hell has been prepared
for the devil and his angels.

And the Bible says in
Matthew 25 and verse 41:

"Then He will say to
those on the left hand,

sadly enough there are
those who have rejected

God's grace and
those who will be lost,

ignored the pleadings of God.

But listen to what Jesus says:

'Depart from Me you cursed,
into the everlasting fire

prepared for the
devil and his angels.

Now, hell has not
been prepared for people,

but hell has been prepared
for the devil and his angels.

this verse tells us
something else though because

question how long will he burn.

This verse says that
the fire is everlasting,

that does not mean it's eternal
as far as God's prospective

but what it means
is it can't be put out.

So, when the devil
receives that fire that

he is going to receive from
God in the very end of time,

it will not be put
out, he cannot quench it,

but he will burn until he
is accounted for all the sins

and the people sins that
he's taken with him to hell.

And sadly enough, Satan
has deceived the nations

and Revelation 20 talks about,

they are as the
sands of the seeds.

And that's a lot
when you think about sand.

But no, the answer
to your question is no

Satan is going to
have to be punished

for the more he
deceived, the more he deceived,

the more he caused to be lost,

Well, in contrast
to talking about Satan

question regarding the 144,000.

question comes from Jessica,

I've always wondered if
the 144,000 described in
00:05:52.10\00:05:55.64
Revelation was a metaphor or
if it is to be taken literally.

Let's go to Revelation,
we'll go to chapter 14.

Okay, we'll first
go to chapter 7 because

there are two
references. That's true.

I think we go to Revelation
7 where it first shows up,

with 14 is that 144,000 are

God's people and it clearly
reveals in Revelation 14.

These are without fault,
no deceive in their mouth,

they're God's people
who keep His commandments.
00:06:25.94\00:06:28.72
But Revelation
7 says in the text
00:06:28.73\00:06:32.20
we are referring to be
found in verse 4, where it says:
00:06:32.21\00:06:36.68
And I heard the number
of those who were sealed.
00:06:36.69\00:06:39.30
144,000 of all the tribes of the
children of Israel were sealed.
00:06:39.31\00:06:45.42
So, here it says
that John heard a number,
00:06:45.74\00:06:48.73
John he heard a number
and that number was 144,000.
00:06:48.74\00:06:52.73
Now, in contrast to the
144,000 there is another group
00:06:52.74\00:06:57.29
that's revealed. That's right.
00:06:57.30\00:06:58.67
And that's in
verse 9 and in fact
00:06:58.89\00:07:02.11
from verses 5 through 8 it
reveals the tribes of Israel,
00:07:02.89\00:07:06.03
speaking of
spiritual Israel. That's right.
00:07:06.04\00:07:07.83
Spread out through
all the entire earth,
00:07:07.84\00:07:09.84
so the 144,000 will come
from everywhere. That's right.
00:07:09.85\00:07:12.77
But what verse 9 is
telling us is that it says:
00:07:13.55\00:07:17.55
After these things
I looked, and behold,
00:07:17.56\00:07:19.45
a great multitude
and then the key point
00:07:19.46\00:07:21.98
which no one could
number from all nations,
00:07:22.98\00:07:26.37
tribes, peoples, and tongues,
00:07:26.38\00:07:28.16
standing before the
throne and before the Lamb.
00:07:28.17\00:07:30.15
So, here you have a
144,000, who are God's people,
00:07:30.16\00:07:34.21
it says they are God's servants.
00:07:34.22\00:07:36.32
And then you have a multitude
which no one could number
00:07:36.33\00:07:40.12
coming from all nations,
tribes, peoples and tongues.
00:07:40.13\00:07:44.09
And so you're seeing two
groups here 144,000 God's,
00:07:44.10\00:07:47.24
it's a great
multitude will be God's people.
00:07:47.25\00:07:49.69
But we'll hear the
message from the 144,000.

But hearing that
number I believe is telling us
00:07:52.60\00:07:55.62
that the number is literal.

And not only is the number
heard in Revelation chapter 7

but the number is seen
in Revelation chapter 14

that's why I wanted
to go to Revelation 7

first to show the contrast.

Revelation chapter
14 and beginning with

verse 1 down to verse 3,

Revelation 14
beginning with verse 1

and the Bible
says then I looked.

So, now John is
seeing a multitude:
00:08:15.92\00:08:17.85
"Then I looked, and behold
a Lamb standing on Mount Zion,
00:08:17.86\00:08:22.80
and with Him 144,000,
00:08:22.81\00:08:25.98
having His Father's name
written on their foreheads.
00:08:25.99\00:08:29.88
So, he sees this
number now with the father,
00:08:29.89\00:08:32.91
standing on Mount
Zion and then he goes down
00:08:32.92\00:08:36.96
and he says also in verse 3:
00:08:36.97\00:08:38.52
And they sang as it were a
new song before the throne,
00:08:39.37\00:08:42.54
before the four
living creatures,
00:08:42.55\00:08:44.63
and the elders; and no
one could learn that song
00:08:44.64\00:08:47.91
except the 144,000 who
were redeemed from the earth.

When you look at the,

when you look at the
application of the 144,000,

one of the phrases
that come into mind,

one of the words
that come into play here

that shows that
they are not just every
00:09:02.25\00:09:05.33
this innumerable host,
but a specific representation

of all the saved is in
verse 4 of Revelation 14.

Then it goes on to say,

these are the ones who
are not defiled with women,
00:09:15.60\00:09:18.21
in another words
according to Prophecy
00:09:18.22\00:09:19.69
they will not plodded by
the teachings of other churches.

Secondly, for they are virgins,
00:09:23.61\00:09:25.34
they are pure before God, a
pure, unadulterated message.

Thirdly, they are the
ones that follow the lamb

wherever he goes, you
will discover the disciples

followed the Lord
wherever He led them.

The Apostles follow the
Lord wherever He led them.

But it's even more
prominent in that is it says:

These were
redeemed from among men,
00:09:43.86\00:09:46.43
being first fruits to God and
to the Lamb the end of verse 4.

Now, one of you talks
about the first fruits,
00:09:50.44\00:09:52.61
it didn't talk
about the whole harvest
00:09:52.62\00:09:54.57
but just the first
beginning part of the harvest.
00:09:54.58\00:09:57.82
So, these are the beginning
of those who are gonna be
00:09:57.83\00:10:00.46
harvested at the time
of the coming of the Lord.

These are
representing all the nations,
00:10:03.31\00:10:05.62
but these are a smaller
segment of all the saved
00:10:05.63\00:10:09.69
and they are the 144,000.

And I believe that
number is not symbolic.

Yes. But literal. Literal. Yeah.

In fact one of the
things that Jesus had always

wanted to accomplish
was sharing the gospel

the nation of Israel.

But because they were unwilling,

the probation
closed for them as a nation

and he moved his
church to reach the gentiles

and that's what's
happening right now.

So, when we say that the
144,000 are God's people,

that's why it describes
the tribes. The over comers.

The over comers, they are
God's people with a movement

to reach the rest of the world

and in fact the great
multitude with a message.

If you look at Joel 2,

it describes both
of these two groups,

the multitude and the
144,000 were God's servants.

and I won't read the whole
thing here but its describing

God's men-servants and
His maid-servants in verse 29

that he will pour out
his spirit in those days.

Now, look at Joel 3 verse 12.

So, he just
finished talking about

his people in Joel 2, John,

Joel 2 and then
he moves to Joel 3.

And it says, Joel says,
let the nations, verse 12,

be awakened, and come up
to the valley of Jehoshaphat.
00:11:23.06\00:11:26.35
For there I will sit to
judge the surrounding nations.
00:11:26.36\00:11:29.01
Put in the sickle,
for the harvest is ripe.
00:11:29.02\00:11:31.89
Come, go down, for
the wine press is full;

the vats overflow, for
their wickedness is great.

There is a people here
that are ready to be harvested.

That's right.

And we know that
great harvest is in the end.

But look at verse 14:

Multitudes, multitudes
in the valley of decision.

For the day of the Lord is
near in the valley of decision.

So, here the multitudes are the
ones that haven't decided yet.

And somebody has to
bring a deciding message.

Somebody has got to bring
that deciding message to them

and that is the
144,000 God's men-servants

sealed in the time of the end

to proclaim a final message
to the world Revelation 18

Somebody has to proclaim this
message for the people of God

to respond to this
last day call of God.

And I praise the Lord, just
to make it very clear that when

we talk about the tribes of
Israel in Revelation chapter 7.

Romans 9 makes
it very, very clear

because the term
Israel really in scripture

came into existence
to mean the over comer.

You found, there was
a, there was a battle

between Jacob and
Esau, not so much a battle,
00:12:38.67\00:12:42.37
but a dispute and Esau was
pursuing his brother Jacob.

And when Jacob was
running for his life,

he wrestled with
the Lord and he said,

I will not let thee
go until thou bless me.

Well, God blessed
him, but changed his name

from Jacob to Israel,
meaning an over comer.
00:12:56.55\00:12:59.52
Because he prevailed, he
wrestled with God and prevailed.

And so the word Israel
really means the over comer

and that's why Paul in
Romans 9 and verse 6 says:

For they are not all
Israel who are of Israel,

they are not all over comers
00:13:14.51\00:13:16.31
who are of the natural heritage
of the nation of Israel.

It's a spiritual term
and so when Revelation

talks about the
tribes of Israel,

he's talking about
those who have overcome
00:13:24.56\00:13:26.32
by the blood of the
lamb and are prepared
00:13:26.33\00:13:28.94
to carry this final message
to the world in the end time.

2 also. And we've discovered

even today many societies
that are not even Christian

by nature or by proclamation,
decide that the healthier

their diet, the
healthier the human body,

the clearer the mind.
And so you cannot violate the

health laws of the Bible
and not have some kind of impact

on the physical structure.
So, we have the natural laws

and the health laws,
then the third one is what?

We've civil laws. That's
right. And the civil laws refer

to those that govern
humanity or our civil society,

mean, help me John, crime,

crime laws and you can't you
know you're not suppose to be.

Exactly and you get our point,

but laws that keep our
society acting and performing

And Israel had those
civil laws one by one.

those laws that will given to

Israel about the civil
performances of this society are

not binding on all humanity.
One thing I want to point out

is when you follow many
of those civil laws you will

discover that hey, the principle
still apply in a tremendous

way today. For example,
there were times when they

would plant for six years
in a row on a specific land of

property or a
specific piece of ground.

And but in the seventh
year they will allow the land to

rest and replenish itself and
so they would plant in waves.

So, that every time, every
year a piece of land would rest

and replenish itself they
would never come to a time of a

harvest where they would
not be without a piece of land

right. And that's the civil laws

right. The principles apply but

God did not get rid
of those civil laws,

apply to all humanity,

beneficial for everyone of us.

that much of our societies this

America are governed by the

civil laws given to the nation

have a court system,

we have various
phases of that court system.

the same things during the

civil types of
Judeo-Christian principles.

anyway that is the civil laws,

talk about two more.

the ceremonial and the other

these are the two laws
that cause so much confusion.

you are a member of a church

where finally your pastor is
saying, yes we should keep the

commandments of God.
Couple of things I want to

point out, we're gonna be
talking about the ceremonial

versus the moral. The
Ten Commandments of God,

God's law versus the
hundreds of ceremonial laws that

were written in scripture
specifically for the Israelite

nation, for the Jewish
nation. We're gonna talking

about those, now some
congregations lump them both
00:33:20.17\00:33:23.09
together and then they
say things like you can't keep
00:33:23.10\00:33:26.17
God's law. Well, friends
if you're relying on your own
00:33:26.18\00:33:28.97
physical strength and your
stamina, well you cannot keep
00:33:29.12\00:33:32.85
God's law in your own
strength. But the Bible says in

Philippians 4:13, John, I
want you to read that with me.

"I can do all
things; say it again,

through Christ who does what?

Who strengthens

So, Philippians 4:13 tell
us we can do all things through

Christ who strengthens us.
And so when Jesus challenges

us with something, He
also provides the strength.

If you are a member of a
church that says no matter

how much you try, you
cannot keep God's law,

friends. Well, I want you
to pray with your leaders,

because through Jesus
Christ we can do all things

through Christ
who strengthens us,

with men it's impossible,
but with God all things

ceremonial law; because
we're gonna talk about that

and what that law was for.

The nation of Israel was
established on principles and

with guidelines that
God specifically instructed

through Moses. That's right.
To teach them that a Messiah,

the great prince, the savior,
the one that we read about it

going to come. That's right.

And the ceremonial law and
the rights and services and

so forth that governed it,
we're all meant to point to

whom? To Jesus
Christ. To Jesus Christ,

they all pointed to Christ

tutor or instructor or educator,

We don't have to have lighting

of candles, the seven golden
candles just because Jesus the

light of the world has
come. We don't have to wash our

the Sanctuary, because Jesus,

the water of life has come.
We don't have to eat the bread

because Jesus the bread of

life has come. That's
right. All those were types and

ceremonies and symbols pointing
to the Messiah when he came.

at the crucifixion of Jesus

meat offerings, blood offerings,

all these ceremonies and
types pointed to Jesus who was

to come. And when He came
these things were fulfilled

need. And that's why a lot of

read Paul's writing.

He says Christ is the end of
the law to those who believe.

on to the law as a string and
