What is the
experience that you are having,

to get by each day in life.

But let me tell you
the Bible is very clear

that this is the
kind of thing that happens

in a world full of sin.

And that would be easy
for me to stop there and say,

well, this world
is a world full of sin

and we should expect
that the enemy is alive

and well and working
in the hearts of many

who have not followed Christ

and have not been
transformed spiritually

into a new birth experience,

and are looking to put
those ways behind them,

but it's not
just stopping there.

Let's look what Matthew 24 says,

in regard to
specifically the last days

and what happens
in the hearts of men

that are alive then.

And I'm reading
from Matthew 24 verse 12.

It says, and I'll
read verse 13 as well.

"And because
lawlessness will abound,

the love of many will grow cold.

But he who endures to
the end shall be saved."

context here because,

these two passage,

you can see that one of
the most challenging things

about living to the end,

basically keep you down.

They love to do what is wrong.

They love to act at
the impulses of the devil

and the enemy
working in them. Right.

And so as this,
as their spirit grows

cold to the ruling
power of the Holy Spirit

to bring love
back into the heart.

We find everyday
that as we go around,

you see this with gangs,

the wars that are going on
the streets and other places.

But even in the
lives of individuals

as you meet people at work,

as you meet people
even sometimes in church,

forbid, but it's
there that people

just like to see others fail.

They want to keep you down

and that is the love
growing cold in their heart.

And you know, there is a point

where candle gets so
dim and it starts to flicker

encouragement for you

really have it our way,

but the problem with that

as we wouldn't really be
able to appreciate clear skies,

if we didn't have storms. Yeah.

And we would not be able
to appreciate warm weather,

if we didn't have cold.

Now there are
some people that live

in those wonderful
places like the Caribbean,

who really don't
want any cold whether.

I'm not
necessarily talking about

your physical situation.

In life trials come our way

and they come in
many, many forms.

Well, one of the
things that are significant

about the trials
that come our way.

Acts 14 verse 22 tells us that

"We through many tribulations
00:06:55.02\00:06:58.59
will enter the kingdom of God."

Now John, I think of this
in the sense of working on

and I'm not a sculpture

and by no means do I have
all the language down path,

but let's just use
a very expensive piece

a wooden furniture, a teakwood

or whatever the case maybe.

I've traveled and
I've been to countries

where they have
shown me teakwood trees.

And I look at those trees
and they look just so dingy

and so saturated with water.

And then I also heard a story

about the Stradivarius Violin.

And good friend of ours,

And when I looked
into that I discover that

the wood comes from
trees that are very, very old

and chances are the
person who cuts the wood,

and shapes the wood won't be

alive long enough
to make the violin

because it has to go

want trials, I want patience.

He says, well, don't,
you know, that the trials

that you face produces patience.

He said, I just want
patience without the trials.

Well, sometimes you
will come to the conclusion

there is no way.

And I heard, somebody one said,

I want to add to that is,

verse 13, No temptation,

trials come temptations.

"No temptation

but such as is common to
man, but God is faithful,

allow you to be tempted,

that is to go through a
trial beyond what you are able,

also make a way of escape,

So there is nothing coming
your way that you can't bear,

that we should be
open to trials knowing that

produce in us patience.

And so Laodicea
likes the lay back,

doesn't want the
trial, yet God is saying,

the fiery trial is to try you.

trial of having cancer

and he experienced this

friends going to school.

And when he finally passed away,

they could talk
nothing about the dignity

and the steadfastness
