give your life to Christ

from when you were baptized

to that watery grave

you've promised to die
to that old way of life.

And when you came up you
lived in resurrection power,

From that moment on,

about setting your mind

with Him directly
and dependence upon Him

and then, the way
that the Lord works on

you through the conscience

as well as you encounter
situations through life,

you're being led by the Spirit

listen to the voice of God

devil seeks to break you from,

and God must bring you back

path of righteousness

Spirit and walking again

So, this is what it
means to walk in the Spirit

that they are making sure

they are walking in that Spirit,

that the Spirit of

As a matter of fact,

A lot of times we
wonder the great challenge

of being a Christian
is being a Christian.

I've often said that,

because we are living

a spiritual
life in a fleshy body

and while our minds
are being transformed

while we are being transformed
by the renewing of our minds,

it's amazing you get a
new mind but in an old body.
00:09:25.69\00:09:29.66
And Jesus talked
about that to the Pharisees

and the Scribes and He says,

"How can you put new
wine in old wineskins?"
00:09:33.52\00:09:38.86
You can't do that because
the wineskins will burst,
00:09:38.87\00:09:42.03
so therefore we have to
put new wine in new wineskins.
00:09:42.04\00:09:45.90
And so, in a sense
when we accept Jesus
00:09:45.91\00:09:48.37
we are born
again, new wineskins.
00:09:48.38\00:09:51.94
But now, the Spirit
that pervaded our lives

before the spirit
of the antichrist,

the spirit of the
rebellious one is no longer.

He's now dethroned
and the new spirit comes

God's Holy Spirit
comes to reside in us.

As a matter of fact,

just talking about
that spiritual life.

aspects of how you do that,

how you fill, how
you furnish everyday

your mind with those things
that keep you in the Spirit,

but how the Spirit comes in.

look at the walk,

"I am crucified with
Christ, nevertheless I live,

and the life which I
now live in the flesh

I live by the
faith of the Son of God,

So, when you look at
that comparison there,

living in the-the life

which I now live in the flesh,

flesh and the Spirit.

The flesh there
has two applications,

one the life we
now live in the flesh

meaning in this human
body, this mortal flesh,

it's quite different
than the walking in the Spirit

or walking in the flesh.

The flesh that John referred

to is the carnal
nature, so get this.

We still have the
remnants of the carnal nature,

this mortal boy.

How do you live that
spiritual life in a mortal body?

How do you live with
the promise of immortality
00:11:16.33\00:11:18.62
in a mortal body?

You allow the
Spirit of God to come in

and therefore
when we invite Him in,

it is no longer I who live,
meaning it's not our thoughts,

it's not our desires
that we're living by,

it's the Lord's desires,
it is the mind of Christ.

Let this mind be in you
which was also in Christ Jesus.

Well, that's an easy thing

if it's no longer you who live,

there's a transformation.

And a lot of times
we become Christians

is by the Spirit of God which

you, the hope of glory."

So, how does Christ abide in us

by the indwelling Holy Spirit?

And just so we don't think

it's just some
kind of force somewhere.

That's the very power that

we are now
living to sanctify life,

so this is quite
a transformation.

So, when you
wake up in the morning

Lord, today if I do

and do everything wrong

because we still battle

everyday with the mortal flesh.

One day this mortality
will put on immortality,

but until then
everyday we need us--

we need Christ in us
which is the hope of our glory.

It's kind of like putting
that picture together there.

someone comes to Christ

and sees Him for who He truly is

truly is the first time

and he understand that offering

that He gives the offering
of salvation, the eternal life.

I think from that
moment the Holy Spirit is

working in your life
and as you give way to Him

the transformation

And as that
transformation begins,

it still becomes
your choice everyday

to allow the Holy
Spirit to root out those things

He talks about eating His flesh

and drinking His blood.

And the Pharisees
heard that and thinking,

"This guy is insane."

You know, that was
the dialogue there.

But what He was saying
there is partaking of Christ.

Everyday the Lord asks
that we read the word of God

that we drink again
in the spirit of life
00:13:45.19\00:13:48.58
that everything
that He provides for us,

He offers to us everyday.

And we as Christians if
we're not partaking of that

and we're living in the world,

we are going to
go back to the flesh.

And so this is
always this battle of flesh

pulling us one way,

the Spirit of God
pulling us another way.

And it is our
choice everyday to live

according to that Spirit,

so that the flesh
doesn't take back over again.

And as we do that
we find that our life

grows more and more to
where the flesh becomes
