The message there

this man that they saw.

Jesus began to say that
the multitude concerning John.

the second time. That's right.

And so what that Elijah message,

well through John
the Baptist it was repent

and be baptized
and then receive Christ

and acknowledge all
that he came to do for you

an element of repenting but,

includes another part

and it says in verse 20,

"Ahab" that is
King Ahab of Israel,

"sent for all the
children of Israel,

and gathered the prophets
together on Mount Carmel."
00:08:47.25\00:08:50.32
Now these prophets
were not God's prophets. No.
00:08:50.33\00:08:53.06
They were the prophets of Baal.
00:08:53.07\00:08:55.58
And in fact if you know
anything about the story,

Ahab Mary Jezebel
who was not an Israelite
00:08:59.09\00:09:03.29
by far, in fact far from it.
00:09:03.30\00:09:05.91
She was and her ancestors
were worshipers of Baal.

And so she set up and
really cultivated that

apostle prophet
group of Baal worshipers

that were really
became the wise men of
00:09:19.71\00:09:22.74
"Israel" at that time.

And Ahab followed them
and those were the ones

they gathered
together on Mount Carmel.

As a matter fact if we
read the text on Mount Carmel

there were 450
false prophets in Israel

and 400 prophets of Baal,

they had correlates together...

They were false prophets
but some were from Israel,

yeah, exactly,
some were actual Baal,

Baal worshipers from long ago.

Now says in verse 21,

"That Elijah came
to all the people,

and said," and here is

the first part of his
message to the people.

"How long will you
falter between two opinions?

If the Lord is God, follow
Him but if Baal, follow him."

But the people
answered him not a word."

They are gonna wait
and they are gonna see

what's happens on
Mount Carmel. That's right.

Now the first
think I recognize here

this passage is the message

of Elijah actually
comes to Elijah's people.

Okay, now that's significant
and that this message,

the first time the John
the Baptist came to who?

The people of Israel.

Now we find in the
last days that message

also comes again to
the people of Israel,

because as we
read lay out to deceive

which is God's last day people.

They are also
faltering between two opinions.

They are neither cold nor hot,

they go back and
forth, they are lukewarm,

it's this blended lukewarmness
that is affecting the church.

And so the Elijah
message will help to get them

to wake up from their faltering

between the two
opinions staying on fence

to get them to
see who and determine,

who are they gonna
worship. That's right.

And we know part
of the last message
00:11:00.34\00:11:01.91
in Revelation
Chapter 14 is worship God,

return to the
worship of the God.

So all this harmonizes together.

And of course we know
the rest the story here,

people in the last
days and what they will face

as this Elijah
message goes forth.

We find at the end
as the fire came down

out of heaven
consumed the altar,

consumed the
rocks, consumed the water,

consumed everything on it.

To reveal that
God was the true God

that it says here in verse 37,

Elijah speaks up again, this
is part of his message again.

He returns to
preaching to the people,

"Hear me, O Lord, hear me,

that this people" now
he is taking to God first.

"That this people

Lord God, that You have turned

their hearts back to You again.

That's when the fire came down

and burnt sacrifice, the wood
and the stones and the dust,

and it licked up the water,
everything in the trench."

Now look at this,
"When all the people saw it,

they fell on their
faces; and they said,

"Seize the prophets of Baal!

Do not let one of them escape!"

and Elijah brought them down

and executed them there".

Now, think about this,

Not only are Elijah there,

the people of Israel
are there, some false,

honestly seeking who is God,

but Satan and his host there.

And Satan being
very observant is saying,

fire comes down out of heaven,

the people see that
and they acknowledge God.

Wouldn't it be a neat

And so we turn to Revelation 13.

up by Satan himself.

who is there again?

And he exercises
all the authority

of the first
beast in his presence,

and causes the earth
and those who dwell in

it to worship the first beast,

who's deadly wound was healed.

He performs great
signs, so that he even makes

fire come down from heaven

And what is his goal?

deceives those who dwell

So Satan is going
to bring fire down

Satan is the one calling down

fire from heaven,
