The fruit for the tree
of life was to give them

the tree of life.

sense and its symbolic sense.

about the tree of knowledge

there's a literal tree,

Eve came to its proximity,

or the midst of the

it symbolized as a
test to Adam and Eve.

It symbolized faithfulness
and loyalty to God or not.

And so in another
words God gave it to them

as a test to see whether
or not they would trust him

the meanings rather than

actually taking things
literally and I believe

it's a challenge,
that's not even the right word.

It's a strategy of the enemy.

That he is trying to get
us to spiritualize things

away rather then
seeing the literal aspect

of much of scripture
and here's why I say that,

because when we spiritualize,

we often integrate
our own thoughts and ideas

as to what something
means. But when we take

God's word literally
and we look for the meaning,

the spiritual
application of the literal

we're looking in
scripture for the symbols

and the meanings okay.
But often if you go then to,

to some of these
things like even for instance

this here the tree
of knowledge of good

and evil, if you
spiritualize that away

then the whole story of
the fall of man is just,

it loses it's

lesson. Because you're taking,

something spiritual,

the literal application

of what a lot of the
word of God is really saying.

you know in Matthew 7
verse 17 the Bible says:

Even so every good tree
brings forth good fruit,

so that tree that, the
tree of life is a good tree,

it brought forth good fruit.

But the tree of
the knowledge of good

and evil was not
a good tree right.

In the sense that
the results of taking

of its fruit were
not good results right.

Now, the Lord made
the tree as a test,

they were in New York,

it wouldn't be there. If
they were in any major city,

noticed those keys there

example they would have taken

doesn't belong to them.

Nothing wrong
with that person's car,

the car is not bad but
the act of taking from it

when it doesn't belong
to them made the act bad.

The fruit, the end

you have to keep in mind

there is no 8th church,

So, the 8th
church is not gonna be

in the condition of
any other first seven,

the 8th one is gonna
be the church triumphant.

1844 after that disappointment

began a period of
Laodicea, where the church

went through many, many faces.

The church began to
grow and what happened

the church grew in
two different directions

those who were
pure in their motives

but those who
literally rejected truth

but considered
themselves to still be pure

and that's the description

the church of Laodicea.

last days we're living

in the time of the
Laodicean condition.

I think a mega church
is five thousand members,

when you get to 20 and 30,000

and that's a
gigachurch. That's huge,

that's a stadium, I
mean how do you visit
00:12:48.40\00:12:49.76
30,000 members yeah, but
the condition is we believe

that we are rich
and increased with goods

and have need of nothing.

But the saddest of
all is that we don't know

that we are wretched,
miserable, poor, blind

and naked, that's the
condition of the church,

it doesn't even know
how in despair it is.

So, we're living
in that day and age

but there is a remedy
for the church of Laodicea

and the Lord is saying:

'Buy from me gold
tried in the fire,

have true faith
that you may be rich.

Have true
righteousness, white raiment

and also anoint your
eyes that you'll really
00:13:25.22\00:13:28.14
see the truth rather
than thinking that you see

but your eyes are
really covered over.'

And the reason
why this message is so

directed because the Lord says:

"As many as I love,
I rebuke and I chasten.

So, therefore be
zealous and repent."

So the church is in
a bad condition John

and God is saying to
us all it's time to repent

popular opinion

believe that each church

represents a time

as we go from Christ

the very end of
time where he returns

Bible's own historicist
