" 00:11:59.81\00:12:01.22 and that was 35... 40 years ago, 00:12:01.25\00:12:04.92 and since then, the pressure to silence the growing evidence 00:12:04.95\00:12:10.83 that evolution is impossible has grown. 00:12:10.86\00:12:13.73 Just a few months ago, 00:12:13.76\00:12:16.16 a famed Yale University Science Professor of Computing 00:12:16.20\00:12:20.80 made this statement, his name was... 00:12:20.84\00:12:23.61 made a statement that he no longer believed 00:12:23.64\00:12:27.68 in Darwin's theory of evolution. 00:12:27.71\00:12:30.61 He called it a beautiful idea 00:12:30.65\00:12:33.48 that has been effectively disproven. 00:12:33.52\00:12:37.39 His name was David Golonsner 00:12:37.42\00:12:40.99 and he's cited as saying a number of things. 00:12:41.02\00:12:44.39 So, this was just a few months ago. 00:12:44.43\00:12:46.86 In an interview he said... 00:12:46.90\00:12:48.93 when he talked to many of his colleagues at Yale, 00:12:48.96\00:12:55.74 he said... from the intellectual behavior 00:12:55.77\00:12:58.24 and what they have published 00:12:58.27\00:12:59.61 and much more importantly what they tell their students... 00:12:59.71\00:13:03.04 "Darwinism has indeed passed beyond the scientific argument 00:13:03.08\00:13:07.72 as far as they are concerned, 00:13:07.75\00:13:09.92 you take your life in your hands 00:13:09.95\00:13:11.92 if you challenge it intellectually. 00:13:11.95\00:13:13.82 They will destroy you if they challenge it... 00:13:13.86\00:13:17.43 if you challenge it. " 00:13:17.49\00:13:18.86 And that's essentially what's happened 00:13:18.89\00:13:20.86 in our academic circles today 00:13:20.90\00:13:22.86 so our young people don't get exposed to the growing evidence. 00:13:22.90\00:13:26.53 He goes on to say in this interview, 00:13:26.57\00:13:29.44 "Now, I haven't been destroyed, I'm not a biologist 00:13:29.47\00:13:32.27 and I don't claim to be an authority on this topic 00:13:32.31\00:13:35.41 but what I have seen in their behavior intellectually 00:13:35.44\00:13:38.51 and at colleges across the West, 00:13:38.55\00:13:40.15 is nothing approaching free speech on this topic. 00:13:40.22\00:13:43.42 It is a bitter, fundamental, 00:13:43.45\00:13:45.72 angry, outraged rejection of intelligent design, 00:13:45.75\00:13:50.63 which comes nowhere near 00:13:50.66\00:13:52.86 the scientific or intellectual discussion. 00:13:52.89\00:13:55.10 I've seen happen again and again. " 00:13:55.13\00:13:58.47 This belief in Darwinism in that somehow 00:13:58.50\00:14:04.37 some natural, mechanical process can produce life 00:14:04.41\00:14:09.18 and all the new organisms on earth, 00:14:09.21\00:14:11.55 has in fact become a religion 00:14:11.58\00:14:13.95 that scientists are fighting over 00:14:13.98\00:14:16.28 but it's a religion that leads largely to Atheism... 00:14:16.32\00:14:20.46 to disbelief in God. 00:14:20.49\00:14:22.72 Firstly, it challenges the Bible... 00:14:22.76\00:14:25.89 the Bible account that in six days... 00:14:25.93\00:14:29.03 only about 6,000 years ago, 00:14:29.06\00:14:31.90 God created the heavens and the earth 00:14:31.93\00:14:34.10 and this planet in particular and life there on it 00:14:34.14\00:14:38.37 and we were created special. 00:14:38.41\00:14:40.34 The theory of evolution defies that 00:14:40.38\00:14:44.75 but in actual fact, 00:14:44.78\00:14:48.02 when we look at what we know today, 00:14:48.05\00:14:51.05 the evidence is overwhelming 00:14:51.09\00:14:53.56 that evolution is absolutely impossible 00:14:53.59\00:14:59.49 and I use that word "absolutely" 00:14:59.53\00:15:02.20 in an absolute sense. 00:15:02.23\00:15:04.67 It is absolutely impossible and never happened. 00:15:04.70\00:15:09.70 Sure, there's been refinement of species through mutations... 00:15:09.77\00:15:13.48 minor changes... 00:15:13.51\00:15:15.41 but evolution has never been able to produce 00:15:15.44\00:15:19.11 a new type of body part or a new type of organism. 00:15:19.15\00:15:22.92 Let's have a look at this. 00:15:22.98\00:15:25.05 This is a very important topic 00:15:25.09\00:15:29.76 because what we believe about our origins 00:15:29.79\00:15:34.43 can affect our destiny for ETERNITY 00:15:34.46\00:15:38.37 and why I'm so passionate about this evidence 00:15:38.43\00:15:41.60 is because I've heard so many stories 00:15:41.64\00:15:44.87 from parents and from friends 00:15:44.91\00:15:47.31 of people that have tossed in their faith 00:15:47.38\00:15:51.25 in allowing all-powerful God who does answer prayer... 00:15:51.31\00:15:56.85 who is with us 00:15:56.89\00:15:58.22 that helps us to get through to His kingdom... 00:15:58.25\00:16:01.52 and they've given up that faith 00:16:01.59\00:16:04.46 because of this false teaching that has been promulgated 00:16:04.49\00:16:08.90 in the name of Science. 00:16:08.93\00:16:10.40 Jesus told that from the beginning 00:16:10.43\00:16:15.70 God made them male and female. 00:16:15.74\00:16:17.41 He made us as humans. 00:16:17.44\00:16:20.01 We didn't descend from some ape-like creature 00:16:20.04\00:16:23.24 and Jesus also told... and this is a very important message 00:16:23.28\00:16:27.48 that it is God's will that everyone 00:16:27.52\00:16:30.65 that believes in Jesus as their Savior 00:16:30.69\00:16:33.25 and turns to Him in repentance 00:16:33.29\00:16:35.62 would have eternal life 00:16:35.66\00:16:38.19 and be raised from death on the last day. 00:16:38.23\00:16:41.03 So, Jesus' message... the message of the gospel 00:16:41.06\00:16:44.70 that God is now free to forgive us 00:16:44.73\00:16:46.63 gives us hope 00:16:46.67\00:16:48.00 and will eventually lead us to eternal life 00:16:48.04\00:16:51.31 to a new existence with God in an earth made new. 00:16:51.34\00:16:55.78 Godless-Science view asserts that somehow 00:16:55.81\00:17:01.52 the living organism... 00:17:01.55\00:17:04.95 our first living organism formed by itself 00:17:04.99\00:17:08.02 by just some sort of chemical processes 00:17:08.06\00:17:10.99 and over billions of years 00:17:11.06\00:17:13.40 why totally different life forms have formed from that. 00:17:13.43\00:17:17.13 The Christian world view, of course is 00:17:17.17\00:17:20.07 that God is our Creator 00:17:20.10\00:17:21.80 and He created everything on this world... 00:17:21.87\00:17:24.74 he created all the different forms of life. 00:17:24.77\00:17:27.44 Of course, there was a flood when people became very wicked 00:17:27.48\00:17:31.35 and God had to start again to some extent 00:17:31.38\00:17:33.52 and we have the evidence for that as well. 00:17:33.58\00:17:35.68 The Atheistic world view though... 00:17:35.72\00:17:38.05 life arose by chance and in the end there's death. 00:17:38.09\00:17:40.96 That's it... that's the bottom line. 00:17:40.99\00:17:43.22 There's no hope... 00:17:43.26\00:17:44.69 and so, of course this view can lead to, 00:17:44.73\00:17:47.26 "Well, make the most of life here... 00:17:47.30\00:17:49.50 dog eat dog... 00:17:49.53\00:17:51.23 I need to enjoy life as much as I can... 00:17:51.27\00:17:53.27 get the most out of life that I can. " 00:17:53.30\00:17:55.70 And we can see how the world is going in many places, 00:17:55.74\00:17:59.77 where religion is being rejected 00:17:59.81\00:18:02.48 and particularly it was mentioned this morning 00:18:02.51\00:18:04.68 in Atheistic Communistic countries 00:18:04.71\00:18:06.82 that the standards of living and the way people are treated 00:18:06.85\00:18:10.59 in those countries. 00:18:10.62\00:18:11.95 Let's have a look now at the signs. 00:18:11.99\00:18:15.26 What is actually required for the first living cell to form? 00:18:15.29\00:18:19.86 Well, for a start, millions... not one... 00:18:19.89\00:18:24.17 millions of identical protein molecules 00:18:24.20\00:18:28.40 of many different types... 00:18:28.44\00:18:29.80 some millions of one type of molecule... 00:18:29.84\00:18:33.27 millions of another type, 00:18:33.31\00:18:34.64 millions of another type... 00:18:34.68\00:18:36.01 many different types of proteins, 00:18:36.04\00:18:37.55 but in the millions quantities have to form by chance... 00:18:37.58\00:18:42.12 and there's a very, very long polymer molecules... 00:18:42.18\00:18:45.32 now if you get a few pieces of Lego together 00:18:45.35\00:18:48.22 and you wave them around, they're not going to break, 00:18:48.26\00:18:50.53 but if you try to make a really long chain... 00:18:50.56\00:18:52.66 a 100... 500 pieces of Lego... 00:18:52.69\00:18:54.86 just joined together and waved around... they'll break, 00:18:54.90\00:18:57.13 and it's the same with polymer molecules. 00:18:57.17\00:18:59.33 They break down in nature, 00:18:59.37\00:19:00.94 they're only going to form 00:19:00.97\00:19:02.44 in an non-aqueous-type environment... 00:19:02.47\00:19:05.24 with enzymes in water... 00:19:05.27\00:19:08.21 water breaks down long polymer molecules 00:19:08.24\00:19:10.75 so this theory you've heard... 00:19:10.81\00:19:12.15 hear about... that the first living organism formed 00:19:12.18\00:19:14.42 with their molecules coming together in a soup... 00:19:14.45\00:19:16.79 doesn't really work either. 00:19:16.82\00:19:18.45 All these things are against our known Chemistry, 00:19:18.49\00:19:21.49 this long-chain molecules don't form by themselves, 00:19:21.52\00:19:24.49 they only form with specific chemical reactions 00:19:24.53\00:19:28.16 inside the protection of a cell using enzymes 00:19:28.20\00:19:31.87 and specific chemical enhancers that are there. 00:19:31.90\00:19:35.50 But there's more... 00:19:35.54\00:19:37.47 we also have to have long-chain sugar molecules... 00:19:37.51\00:19:40.08 we have to have long-chain fat molecules... 00:19:40.11\00:19:41.84 and then, we have to have 100s of specific chemicals form 00:19:41.88\00:19:48.58 all in the same location 00:19:48.62\00:19:50.99 that somehow form themselves together into the cell 00:19:51.02\00:19:54.56 and we know Scientifically, that's impossible 00:19:54.59\00:19:57.43 because these compounds have to have specific functions... 00:19:57.46\00:20:01.10 have to have specific structures, 00:20:01.13\00:20:03.20 they're not formed by themselves in nature. 00:20:03.23\00:20:06.33 So, what they're asking is not a few molecules 00:20:06.37\00:20:09.44 but millions of molecules... 00:20:09.47\00:20:12.01 joint molecules somehow come together into one space 00:20:12.04\00:20:16.14 and form this cell. 00:20:16.18\00:20:18.15 For the cell to be able to reproduce, 00:20:18.18\00:20:20.28 there has to be a code representing that cell 00:20:20.32\00:20:22.68 and yet they have to claim that the code which we call DNA 00:20:22.72\00:20:26.09 somehow forms by chance 00:20:26.12\00:20:28.72 that actually encodes for the cell 00:20:28.76\00:20:31.33 that also happened to form by chance. 00:20:31.36\00:20:33.73 How can they be connected? 00:20:33.76\00:20:35.93 But that's not enough. 00:20:35.96\00:20:38.07 The code has to again characterize 00:20:38.10\00:20:43.97 the parts of the... the cell that we have 00:20:44.01\00:20:48.04 and again, as I've already just said, 00:20:48.08\00:20:50.08 a moment ago, it's an important point. 00:20:50.11\00:20:52.81 The code has to have somehow known 00:20:52.85\00:20:55.55 what the structure of the cell was... that randomly formed. 00:20:55.58\00:20:58.85 that's an impossibility... an absolute impossibility. 00:20:58.92\00:21:02.69 But even for the code to work, it needs a Code-Reading Machine 00:21:02.72\00:21:10.17 which we call a Ribosome. 00:21:10.23\00:21:12.53 Now, in 2007, a number of Chemists won the Nobel Prize 00:21:12.57\00:21:16.50 for determining the structure of the Ribosome 00:21:16.54\00:21:18.74 we still don't know exactly how it all fully works 00:21:18.77\00:21:21.14 but a Ribosome is a special Code Reader 00:21:21.18\00:21:24.58 that reads the DNA code and makes the new proteins 00:21:24.61\00:21:29.05 for the next generation of that cell. 00:21:29.08\00:21:32.35 Without the Code Reader, the DNA Code is useless 00:21:32.39\00:21:36.09 so, you have to have a specific Code Reader. 00:21:36.12\00:21:39.76 Now, if I spelled out the word, Z I V I S... that's a code... 00:21:39.79\00:21:45.47 but probably no one here could read that code 00:21:45.50\00:21:49.44 or understand what that code means 00:21:49.47\00:21:51.41 because you have to have the specific programming 00:21:51.44\00:21:54.61 to read that code 00:21:54.64\00:21:55.98 which is the Latvian language for fish 00:21:56.01\00:21:59.61 which in English you say, F I S H 00:21:59.65\00:22:02.85 and so, the Code Reader has to match the code 00:22:02.88\00:22:07.76 and this molecule 00:22:07.79\00:22:09.62 which involves, as I said, 100s of 1,000s of atoms 00:22:09.66\00:22:13.26 in a unique structure so complex 00:22:13.29\00:22:16.23 that it's taken teams of Scientists years 00:22:16.26\00:22:19.47 to work it out using X- Ray Crystallography 00:22:19.50\00:22:22.64 we have to expect that that Code Reader formed... by chance 00:22:22.67\00:22:25.84 that could read that specific code 00:22:25.87\00:22:28.61 using those four chemical letters 00:22:28.64\00:22:31.31 S A T and G 00:22:31.38\00:22:32.78 but even if we had all that, the cell would be dead. 00:22:32.81\00:22:40.29 It wouldn't be alive. 00:22:40.32\00:22:42.86 For it to be alive, 00:22:42.89\00:22:46.36 100s of bio-chemical reactions would have to be in a state 00:22:46.39\00:22:53.60 of disequilibrium... 00:22:53.64\00:22:55.60 that is, out of balance by just the right amount 00:22:55.64\00:22:59.67 to produce just the right concentration 00:22:59.74\00:23:02.54 for the next chemical reaction to go 00:23:02.58\00:23:05.95 to produce the next chemical compound 00:23:05.98\00:23:08.82 at just the right concentration 00:23:08.85\00:23:10.45 to produce the next chemical reaction... 00:23:10.49\00:23:12.02 at just the right concentration, 00:23:12.05\00:23:13.52 to produce the next chemical reaction 00:23:13.56\00:23:15.62 at just the right concentration 00:23:15.66\00:23:17.56 to produce that first chemical 00:23:17.59\00:23:19.46 at just the right concentration 00:23:19.49\00:23:22.03 because it's a circular set of 100s of bio-chemical reactions. 00:23:22.06\00:23:28.27 It's just absolutely impossible to occur. 00:23:28.30\00:23:31.84 We have so much Science that it is absolutely impossible 00:23:31.87\00:23:36.44 for a living cell to form by chance. 00:23:36.48\00:23:38.28 Absolutely impossible... absolutely impossible 00:23:38.31\00:23:42.72 and that's why dead things can't be made alive. 00:23:42.75\00:23:45.59 Evolution cannot explain the origin of humans. 00:23:45.62\00:23:50.33 But actually there's no mechanism 00:23:50.36\00:23:54.10 to explain how a new type of body part can form. 00:23:54.13\00:23:57.60 Sure, mutations occur... 00:23:57.63\00:23:59.90 they can destroy parts of the code 00:23:59.93\00:24:02.30 but destroying part of the code 00:24:02.34\00:24:04.84 doesn't produce a new type of organism. 00:24:04.87\00:24:06.81 Might produce a wingless beetle or different colored fur... 00:24:06.84\00:24:10.48 or something like that. 00:24:10.51\00:24:12.28 Mutations can produce... 00:24:12.31\00:24:14.32 cause small sections of the code to be duplicated... 00:24:14.35\00:24:17.59 extra finger... 00:24:17.62\00:24:19.19 we've seen pictures of chickens born with a second head 00:24:19.22\00:24:22.82 and so forth 00:24:22.89\00:24:24.23 but those are the parts that usually are not pretty 00:24:24.26\00:24:26.06 and they don't form any new part 00:24:26.09\00:24:27.90 and always these mutations... they're still just using... 00:24:27.93\00:24:31.60 duplicating pre-existing code, they're not developing new code. 00:24:31.63\00:24:35.14 Mutations can involve transfer... 00:24:35.17\00:24:38.17 or pieces of code to another organism and... 00:24:38.21\00:24:40.58 as a matter of fact the top ten food poisoning bacteria 00:24:40.64\00:24:43.48 that we have to encounter in today's times 00:24:43.51\00:24:47.58 probably evolved over the past 30-40 years 00:24:47.62\00:24:51.62 by the transfer of toxin genes from the toxic bacteria 00:24:51.65\00:24:56.12 to a harmless bacteria that can survive in us 00:24:56.16\00:24:59.09 and that harmless bacteria now has become a toxin producer. 00:24:59.13\00:25:02.96 That's not new code. 00:25:03.00\00:25:04.43 Mechanisms... these mechanisms can't provide a new code 00:25:04.47\00:25:09.44 that's going to produce a new body part 00:25:09.47\00:25:11.37 that's going to change a fish fin into a leg. 00:25:11.41\00:25:14.44 Evolutionists talk about that... you know, how the fishes... 00:25:14.48\00:25:17.58 the fins got a little bit stronger 00:25:17.65\00:25:19.15 and they evolved in lakes. 00:25:19.18\00:25:20.52 That involves massive changes in the genetic code... 00:25:20.55\00:25:24.75 massive changes in the code 00:25:24.79\00:25:26.96 to produce the codes for the new joints... 00:25:26.99\00:25:29.19 the new compounds that make up the surfaces of the joints, 00:25:29.22\00:25:32.13 the new blood vessels... nerves and so forth... 00:25:32.16\00:25:34.86 the muscles... 00:25:34.90\00:25:36.23 all have complex codes, 00:25:36.26\00:25:38.13 huge complex codes... have to arrive by chance. 00:25:38.17\00:25:40.74 Secondly, how can the code... mutation mechanism know 00:25:40.77\00:25:44.81 what the needs are of the animal? 00:25:44.84\00:25:46.24 It can't. 00:25:46.27\00:25:47.64 It's absolutely impossible. 00:25:47.68\00:25:49.41 Furthermore, it's never been observed either. 00:25:49.44\00:25:53.05 They bred E. Coli bacteria through 60,000 generations 00:25:53.08\00:25:59.82 and they're still just... stayed E. Coli bacteria. 00:25:59.85\00:26:02.66 They didn't even evolve into a different type of bacteria. 00:26:02.69\00:26:05.69 If we look at say an E. Coli Bacteria... 00:26:05.73\00:26:08.60 we've got about 4.6 million little letters in the DNA code 00:26:08.63\00:26:13.97 that makes up the code to describe all the little parts 00:26:14.00\00:26:16.84 in the organism. 00:26:16.87\00:26:18.24 But if we want to evolve into a Yeast, 00:26:18.27\00:26:21.01 we go from about 4 and a 1/2 million parts 00:26:21.04\00:26:23.91 to 12 million parts in Yeast 00:26:23.95\00:26:26.31 and that's still a single-celled organism. 00:26:26.35\00:26:28.78 If we want to go then... 00:26:28.82\00:26:31.19 that's another 7 and a 1/2 million new pieces of code 00:26:31.22\00:26:35.76 that have to arise by chance mutations 00:26:35.79\00:26:37.89 and would never observe that occurring. 00:26:37.93\00:26:41.06 If we then go through to a little roundworm 00:26:41.10\00:26:45.63 or a little Nematode about five millimeters long, 00:26:45.67\00:26:48.40 we're looking at about 97 million pieces 00:26:48.44\00:26:51.64 of code in the base. 00:26:51.67\00:26:53.04 For the yeast to evolve into a little roundworm 00:26:53.07\00:26:57.28 which has digestive system... reproductive system... 00:26:57.31\00:26:59.88 a little mouth and anus and so forth, 00:26:59.91\00:27:01.75 then, we need about another 95 million pieces of code 00:27:01.78\00:27:08.16 that have to arise by chance... a complex code 00:27:08.19\00:27:11.26 and no human scientist can write a code 00:27:11.29\00:27:13.80 to make a new type of organism... 00:27:13.83\00:27:15.96 the codes are so complex. 00:27:16.00\00:27:17.33 We have so much evidence now 00:27:17.37\00:27:20.00 and, of course, that little worm is just one part of an organism, 00:27:20.04\00:27:22.97 if we go to a mouse, 00:27:23.00\00:27:24.34 we have 2.6 thousand million pieces of code... 00:27:24.37\00:27:30.35 letters in the code. 00:27:30.38\00:27:31.71 Just imagine how many books that would represent 00:27:31.75\00:27:35.12 if they were stacked on top of one another 00:27:35.18\00:27:37.39 to just write the code out 00:27:37.42\00:27:39.39 let alone write a code that made sense... 00:27:39.42\00:27:42.92 the worked... that had all the different parts 00:27:42.96\00:27:45.33 and that's just a mouse... 00:27:45.39\00:27:47.06 a mouse is just one of 5,000 or so other mammals 00:27:47.10\00:27:50.77 all which have different codes... 00:27:50.80\00:27:52.63 all of which Evolutionists have to acclaim... arose by chance 00:27:52.67\00:27:56.84 and then of course, there's more. 00:27:56.87\00:27:59.14 What about all the birds and the reptiles 00:27:59.17\00:28:02.08 and the fish and the insects and the spiders and mice 00:28:02.11\00:28:05.35 and the plants and the fungi 00:28:05.38\00:28:07.38 and all the other classes and organisms 00:28:07.42\00:28:10.79 that have all sorts of other names 00:28:10.82\00:28:13.09 other than the cooler names? 00:28:13.12\00:28:15.02 They all have their own unique code 00:28:15.06\00:28:18.46 so it's extremely complex 00:28:18.49\00:28:20.10 that the theory of evolution claim... arose by chance. 00:28:20.13\00:28:24.63 We don't see it observing... 00:28:24.70\00:28:26.90 it's absolutely impossible. 00:28:26.94\00:28:29.07 And then, within plants we find absolutely amazing structures 00:28:29.10\00:28:34.28 and one of these is called Photosystem 2 00:28:34.31\00:28:39.51 and this is an amazing structure that uses light to split water 00:28:39.55\00:28:48.39 into hydrogen and oxygen! 00:28:48.42\00:28:50.99 How cool is that? 00:28:51.03\00:28:53.19 Use of sunlight to split hydrogen... 00:28:53.23\00:28:56.33 water into hydrogen and oxygen. 00:28:56.36\00:28:58.23 Now, of course, we can do that, 00:28:58.27\00:29:00.30 we can set up photo electric cells 00:29:00.34\00:29:02.30 and we could set up a little cell with electrolyte in it 00:29:02.34\00:29:04.84 and put some water in it, 00:29:04.87\00:29:06.21 we'd have hydrogen and oxygen there. 00:29:06.24\00:29:07.58 But the plants do it in a very effective way. 00:29:07.61\00:29:11.88 They actually amplify the energy from light. 00:29:11.91\00:29:16.25 Now, if sunlight could split water... 00:29:16.28\00:29:17.82 our oceans and our lakes would just turn into 00:29:17.85\00:29:21.02 hydrogen and oxygen. 00:29:21.06\00:29:22.39 The reason is that the energy in photons from light 00:29:22.42\00:29:25.53 is not strong enough by itself 00:29:25.56\00:29:27.76 to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. 00:29:27.80\00:29:30.40 Sure we can collect it in a solar ray 00:29:30.43\00:29:32.93 and concentrate it and run a battery and split it that way, 00:29:32.97\00:29:36.04 or a little cell and split it that way 00:29:36.10\00:29:37.77 but in a plant, God does it 00:29:37.81\00:29:40.18 and what He does is, 00:29:40.21\00:29:42.28 He takes Chlorophyll that collect the sunlight energy 00:29:42.31\00:29:45.45 and he collects two photons 00:29:45.51\00:29:49.02 and they pass through special little conductive protons... 00:29:49.05\00:29:53.02 proteins to this little cell 00:29:53.05\00:29:56.26 where a couple of water molecules are held 00:29:56.29\00:29:59.83 and zapped by the energy from four photons 00:29:59.86\00:30:03.10 and split into the hydrogen and oxygen. 00:30:03.13\00:30:06.23 That hydrogen is then combined with Carbon Dioxide 00:30:06.27\00:30:10.54 to produce sugars and starches 00:30:10.61\00:30:13.84 and cellulose that we find in plants 00:30:13.88\00:30:16.51 and the oxygen is released for us to breathe. 00:30:16.54\00:30:21.15 And that's an amazing little molecular machine 00:30:21.18\00:30:25.75 that again, the structure of that 00:30:25.79\00:30:28.29 was only determined recently. 00:30:28.32\00:30:29.92 As a matter of fact, Scientists still don't know 00:30:29.96\00:30:32.06 how the water molecules are actually bonded in Photosystem 2 00:30:32.09\00:30:36.36 and if we can crack that, of course, 00:30:36.43\00:30:39.53 we're looking at ways that we can develop more efficient ways 00:30:39.57\00:30:42.87 to generate hydrogen as fuel. 00:30:42.90\00:30:44.64 And yet, Evolutionists have to believe 00:30:44.67\00:30:47.28 that such an amazing molecular machine 00:30:47.31\00:30:49.88 arose by chance. 00:30:49.94\00:30:51.28 But that's just one of tens of thousands of molecular machines 00:30:51.31\00:30:56.15 that are in our bodies... in plants... 00:30:56.18\00:30:59.79 in living organisms... 00:30:59.82\00:31:01.16 that point to an amazing Creator-Designer 00:31:01.19\00:31:06.19 and of course, the code to build that machine 00:31:06.23\00:31:11.33 is in the DNA of the plant 00:31:11.37\00:31:14.14 and the code doesn't look anything like the end product, 00:31:14.17\00:31:18.91 it's a code... just like ZIVIS 00:31:18.94\00:31:22.91 doesn't look anything like a fish, does it? 00:31:22.94\00:31:26.01 Or APPLE doesn't look anything like an apple. 00:31:26.05\00:31:29.05 It's a code 00:31:29.08\00:31:30.42 and that's another thing that is lost. 00:31:30.45\00:31:33.96 There's no direct connection... physical connection so much 00:31:33.99\00:31:38.63 or association between the code and what it encodes. 00:31:38.66\00:31:42.66 It is a code... it's a pure code, 00:31:42.70\00:31:45.43 it needs a Code Reader... Ribosome... 00:31:45.50\00:31:48.20 to make that association. 00:31:48.24\00:31:49.67 All these things clearly point out 00:31:49.70\00:31:53.44 that life could not arise by chance... 00:31:53.48\00:31:57.11 that new species cannot arrive by chance. 00:31:57.15\00:32:01.25 Evolution, mutations cannot produce the massive amounts 00:32:01.28\00:32:05.89 of new code required. 00:32:05.92\00:32:08.12 Pause... 00:32:08.16\00:32:11.03 Octopuses are another one that are being studied 00:32:11.06\00:32:14.06 at the present time. 00:32:14.10\00:32:15.43 You see, if you cut the limb of an Octopus, 00:32:15.46\00:32:19.37 it will grow back again exactly the same... 00:32:19.40\00:32:23.51 to the same size. 00:32:23.71\00:32:25.61 Now, if we can understand the complex biochemistry 00:32:25.64\00:32:31.68 behind that 00:32:31.71\00:32:33.15 and there's a cascade of reactions that occur 00:32:33.21\00:32:35.95 that enable that to happen in an Octopus, 00:32:35.98\00:32:38.69 that has huge advantages in Medicine 00:32:38.72\00:32:41.79 for people that lose a limb 00:32:41.82\00:32:43.56 and have a serious injury 00:32:43.63\00:32:45.29 and teams of Scientists are currently working 00:32:45.33\00:32:48.46 on trying to understand this biochemistry. 00:32:48.50\00:32:51.57 As a matter of fact, in one paper, 00:32:51.63\00:32:54.70 that was published in quite a prestigious journal of Biology, 00:32:54.74\00:32:58.77 25 Scientists were listed as authors of the paper, 00:32:58.81\00:33:03.18 as I recall, 00:33:03.21\00:33:04.55 and they said, "Look, the genome... 00:33:04.58\00:33:07.02 the genetics of the Octopus is so complex 00:33:07.05\00:33:10.12 that maybe it came from outer space. " 00:33:10.15\00:33:13.19 Audience: Laughter. 00:33:13.22\00:33:14.56 This is in a Scientific journal, I kid you not, okay. 00:33:14.59\00:33:17.33 Pause... 00:33:17.36\00:33:18.69 This is the mayhem... 00:33:18.73\00:33:20.16 and yet Evolutionists have to believe 00:33:20.20\00:33:22.10 this amazing biochemistry and the code for it... 00:33:22.13\00:33:24.87 and remember the code is extremely complex 00:33:24.90\00:33:26.70 made up of letters A C T and G. 00:33:26.74\00:33:28.60 Drawing capital territory is good, right? 00:33:28.64\00:33:32.77 That encode for the amazing proteins, 00:33:32.81\00:33:36.85 we're now getting into the Ribosome... 00:33:36.88\00:33:38.21 the Ribosome to recognize the great amino acids, 00:33:38.25\00:33:41.82 filled with the amine salt, 00:33:41.88\00:33:43.79 and arranged them in just the right structure. 00:33:43.82\00:33:46.42 It's an amazing system. 00:33:46.45\00:33:49.79 To produce a new body part or type... 00:33:49.82\00:33:52.79 a huge amount of meaningful new code is required. 00:33:52.83\00:33:56.06 There's no known mechanism to generate this. 00:33:56.10\00:33:58.43 The theory of evolution was developed 00:33:58.47\00:34:01.67 at a time that was challenging the... the world view 00:34:01.70\00:34:06.51 and many scientists wanted to challenge 00:34:06.54\00:34:10.18 the Biblical world view 00:34:10.21\00:34:11.61 and it's promulgated today largely by Scientists 00:34:11.65\00:34:16.52 that want to remove any concept of God from Science 00:34:16.55\00:34:20.89 and unfortunately now with our education system, 00:34:20.92\00:34:24.59 we see Science as being the arbitrator of truth... 00:34:24.63\00:34:28.26 Science is the arbitrator of what is real 00:34:28.30\00:34:31.57 and if Science says that Evolution occurs, 00:34:31.60\00:34:34.67 well, it must be right 00:34:34.70\00:34:36.04 and people are believing that story right, left and center 00:34:36.07\00:34:38.47 and it's sad because it's an incorrect story. 00:34:38.51\00:34:42.31 We now have the evidence it's not true. 00:34:42.34\00:34:45.21 The other factor is, 00:34:45.25\00:34:48.58 well, if the earth was really millions of years old, 00:34:48.62\00:34:52.49 as is claimed... 00:34:52.55\00:34:54.56 as is being determined by Radiometric Dating and that 00:34:54.62\00:34:58.23 then, evolution need even with that amount of time 00:34:58.26\00:35:01.86 there's still not enough time 00:35:01.90\00:35:03.80 for mutations to produce the required structures. 00:35:03.83\00:35:07.97 As a matter of fact, people have said, 00:35:08.00\00:35:09.74 "Even if the whole universe was made of sort of carbon, 00:35:09.77\00:35:13.38 hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur atoms 00:35:13.41\00:35:16.38 and there were random mutations going place all the time, 00:35:16.41\00:35:21.28 that a one single meaningful long biological protein 00:35:21.32\00:35:26.19 still wouldn't form by chance. 00:35:26.22\00:35:27.82 One of the things that we've been conned to... 00:35:27.89\00:35:31.89 a lot of people have given up their belief in Genesis 00:35:31.93\00:35:34.26 is because of these teachings 00:35:34.30\00:35:36.16 that the life on earth is billions of years old 00:35:36.20\00:35:39.90 and indeed, you go into National Parks 00:35:39.93\00:35:41.57 and you see those signs up, 00:35:41.60\00:35:42.94 "This rock formation occurred here 50 million years ago... " 00:35:42.97\00:35:46.41 "This particular species became extinct 00:35:46.44\00:35:49.04 three million years ago... " and so forth. 00:35:49.08\00:35:51.65 But you know, there's a lot of conflicting data on that, 00:35:51.68\00:35:54.68 let's have a look. 00:35:54.72\00:35:56.05 What we know is that the earth has had a catastrophic past 00:35:56.08\00:36:03.12 and you go and you seek that out there... 00:36:03.16\00:36:05.73 you can see all these layers of rock that have been laid down 00:36:05.76\00:36:09.76 and largely, most of the surface of the earth 00:36:09.80\00:36:11.90 the majority of the surface of the earth... 00:36:11.93\00:36:13.97 the rock that makes up... that has been laid down under water, 00:36:14.00\00:36:17.21 it's sedimentary rock... 00:36:17.24\00:36:18.57 and when you look at the structure of the earth, 00:36:18.64\00:36:21.38 there's just this thin layer... a sedimentary rock 00:36:21.41\00:36:24.15 over the outer shell layer of the earth. 00:36:24.18\00:36:27.55 We have the evidence for Noah's flood... it's right there... 00:36:27.58\00:36:31.15 we have the fossils of all the buried animals... 00:36:31.19\00:36:33.76 you know the Morrison Formation in North America... 00:36:33.79\00:36:36.39 you've got width on the fossil, dinosaurs and so forth 00:36:36.42\00:36:38.99 it's very deep with fossils 00:36:39.03\00:36:41.60 and it takes a lot to bury a fossil... of dinosaurs... 00:36:41.63\00:36:45.00 some of them were big animals 00:36:45.03\00:36:46.53 and we see the way they're laid out and so forth 00:36:46.57\00:36:50.91 random association of animals 00:36:50.94\00:36:53.14 and of course, they find mammals... 00:36:53.17\00:36:54.51 fossils of mammals that have eaten dinosaurs, by the way, 00:36:54.54\00:36:57.51 generally separated in the... in the periodic... 00:36:57.55\00:37:02.18 in the Geologic column 00:37:02.22\00:37:04.42 but they were existing together, 00:37:04.45\00:37:06.79 there's so much evidence that really... 00:37:06.82\00:37:09.02 the flood just mixed everything up, 00:37:09.06\00:37:10.79 the geological record of fossils is not as clear as they say... 00:37:10.83\00:37:13.93 claim... 00:37:13.96\00:37:15.66 the fossils of creatures of... 00:37:15.70\00:37:17.60 appear in the layer fully formed, 00:37:17.63\00:37:19.87 they don't change... 00:37:19.90\00:37:21.37 and then they disappear. 00:37:21.40\00:37:22.80 There's no evidence of evolution in the Geologic Column... 00:37:22.84\00:37:27.08 in the fossil layer... 00:37:27.11\00:37:28.68 and the leading Geologists and Paleontologists 00:37:28.71\00:37:32.01 acknowledge this. 00:37:32.05\00:37:33.38 There's no evidence of actual evolution 00:37:33.42\00:37:36.28 and also, we have the very lowest fossilized rocks 00:37:36.35\00:37:39.65 the main ones... like Cambrian 00:37:39.69\00:37:41.09 are full of highly complex creatures 00:37:41.12\00:37:43.32 like Trilobites and so forth 00:37:43.36\00:37:45.63 which have segmented bodies... reproductive systems... 00:37:45.66\00:37:48.16 digestive systems... more complexized eye systems 00:37:48.20\00:37:51.53 and Nautiluses which are similar to Octopuses 00:37:51.57\00:37:54.87 that have jet-propulsion systems 00:37:54.90\00:37:56.57 and so forth... 00:37:56.60\00:37:58.21 they're right down in the very lowest layers. 00:37:58.24\00:38:00.54 So, the theory of evolution from a fossil record 00:38:00.58\00:38:04.18 doesn't work either. 00:38:04.21\00:38:05.55 These long ages, of course, came about 00:38:05.58\00:38:07.58 when people studied deposition rates in rivers 00:38:07.62\00:38:11.25 and they said, "Look it takes only a year... 00:38:11.29\00:38:13.52 there's only a few millimeters of sediment depositing there 00:38:13.56\00:38:15.96 so these big thick sedimentary layers 00:38:15.99\00:38:17.66 must have been laid down over millions of years... " 00:38:17.69\00:38:19.89 that's how they came up to their conclusions. 00:38:19.96\00:38:22.83 And then, of course, they did the Radiometric Dating 00:38:22.86\00:38:26.27 but when we look at other data we can get today... 00:38:26.30\00:38:29.17 when we look things like erosion rates, 00:38:29.20\00:38:31.67 we can measure these today 00:38:31.71\00:38:34.21 and the continents are arising at about... 00:38:34.24\00:38:36.34 eroding about 60 millimeters per 1,000 years. 00:38:36.38\00:38:41.18 Now, 60 millimeters is about that much, right 00:38:41.22\00:38:43.75 in a 1,000 years... it doesn't seem like much 00:38:43.79\00:38:45.99 but if you want to claim that the continents 00:38:46.02\00:38:48.19 are billions of years old, 00:38:48.22\00:38:49.56 we need to recognize that because they've reached heights 00:38:49.59\00:38:52.79 for example of the American Continents are about 650 meters, 00:38:52.83\00:38:56.03 then after 10 million years, it's going to erode away. 00:38:56.06\00:38:58.90 How can the rocks of the Grand Canyon 00:38:58.93\00:39:01.97 be 250 million years old on the surface, 00:39:02.00\00:39:04.97 I think around 500 million years old at the bottom? 00:39:05.01\00:39:07.44 The Continents would erode away 00:39:07.48\00:39:09.38 in less than 10 million years based on the data today. 00:39:09.41\00:39:13.31 Now, in the past, rainfall was much higher. 00:39:13.35\00:39:15.88 Erosion rates were much higher. 00:39:15.92\00:39:18.02 The erosion rates would have been higher. 00:39:18.05\00:39:21.82 The Flood Model fits it so well today. 00:39:21.86\00:39:25.56 There's lots of other data there that we can look at. 00:39:25.59\00:39:30.30 If we look say in the Colorado river, 00:39:30.33\00:39:33.03 the erosion there is a 100 millimeters per 1,000 years. 00:39:33.07\00:39:37.87 So the supposed 500-million-year-old rocks 00:39:37.91\00:39:40.54 sedimentary rocks there in the Cambrianian... 00:39:40.58\00:39:43.14 in the Grand Canyon there, 00:39:43.21\00:39:44.91 which is up to 1 and 1/2 kilometers deep there 00:39:44.95\00:39:48.95 that would erode away in less than 20 million years 00:39:48.98\00:39:51.95 at that rate... their whole thickness 00:39:51.99\00:39:54.69 and yet they claim they're fine... 00:39:54.72\00:39:56.06 so what I'm trying to point out by this is 00:39:56.09\00:39:57.96 that we've got a discord in the data here. 00:39:57.99\00:40:00.00 What we measure today doesn't fit the long-age model. 00:40:00.03\00:40:05.20 Some might say, "Well, it's still 20 million years. " 00:40:05.23\00:40:07.20 Well, there's more... 00:40:07.24\00:40:08.57 there's more that we can look at. 00:40:08.60\00:40:10.31 Pause... 00:40:10.34\00:40:12.34 If we look at the deposition of sediments on the ocean floor, 00:40:12.37\00:40:16.28 again only 450 meters or thereabouts, 00:40:16.31\00:40:19.55 and again, on the basis of the rates 00:40:19.58\00:40:22.78 on which the sediments run in the ocean, 00:40:22.82\00:40:24.79 they would form in less than 15 million years. 00:40:24.82\00:40:27.12 Yet the Continents... we rate them by Radiometric dating 00:40:27.16\00:40:31.19 date at 2 and 1/2 billion years... 00:40:31.23\00:40:33.53 two and half thousand million years. 00:40:33.56\00:40:35.83 So again, straight away we got this discord 00:40:35.86\00:40:38.97 between what Radiometric dating results are telling us, 00:40:39.00\00:40:41.84 and what our Geography measurements say... 00:40:41.87\00:40:44.61 what Scientists are measuring... Geographists are measuring... 00:40:44.67\00:40:47.01 what we measure today... 00:40:47.04\00:40:48.54 the same occurs with volcanic deposits, 00:40:48.58\00:40:51.58 if we look at rate of which volcanic material 00:40:51.61\00:40:54.68 is being spewed out onto the earth, 00:40:54.72\00:40:56.72 all the non-volcanic deposits would form 00:40:56.75\00:40:59.45 in less than 34 million years. 00:40:59.49\00:41:00.86 But we can also say... most of the volcanos are dead 00:41:00.92\00:41:04.09 and, you know, you walk around the local environment here 00:41:04.13\00:41:07.33 and you see the dykes and sills 00:41:07.36\00:41:08.93 you know, thankfully they're not active today. 00:41:08.96\00:41:11.37 The volcanic activity in the past was many, many times... 00:41:11.40\00:41:15.54 much more than it is at the present time. 00:41:15.57\00:41:19.14 So again, this shortens the ages, 00:41:19.17\00:41:21.48 how can these continents be billions of years old? 00:41:21.54\00:41:24.41 What about Radiometric dating? 00:41:24.45\00:41:27.72 Now, Radiometric dating 00:41:27.75\00:41:29.65 is based on whole number of assumptions. 00:41:29.68\00:41:31.82 We actually don't know back when the rocks were formed here 00:41:31.85\00:41:36.56 what was the level of the different isotopes? 00:41:36.59\00:41:38.56 How Radiometric dating works is different isotopes 00:41:38.59\00:41:42.26 like if you're doing Uranium Lead, 00:41:42.30\00:41:45.80 then, Uranium is a radioactive species... it goes back to Lead 00:41:45.83\00:41:49.84 I measure the concentration of Uranium there 00:41:49.87\00:41:52.87 and I measure the concentration of Lead that is formed 00:41:52.91\00:41:56.24 and they know the rate at which it converts, 00:41:56.28\00:41:58.51 the half-life... 00:41:58.55\00:42:00.05 and from that they can do calculations 00:42:00.12\00:42:01.62 and estimate the age of the rocks. 00:42:01.65\00:42:03.49 But the fascinating thing is 00:42:03.52\00:42:05.95 that when we date rocks that we actually know the ages of, 00:42:05.99\00:42:10.66 right? 00:42:10.69\00:42:12.03 People saw them erupt... shhhupppp.. 00:42:12.06\00:42:13.76 volcanic eruption... we date them... 00:42:13.80\00:42:15.53 they also date at 100s or 1,000s or millions of years old. 00:42:15.56\00:42:20.27 Let's have a look at some data. 00:42:20.30\00:42:22.80 Somerset Dam in Queensland... 00:42:22.84\00:42:25.27 one of the main water supplies for Brisbane. 00:42:25.31\00:42:27.61 The Conventional fossil age which was based on estimates 00:42:27.64\00:42:32.48 at the rate of which rivers sediment, right? 00:42:32.51\00:42:35.22 And these rates were based back in the 1800s or so 00:42:35.28\00:42:38.52 now used by Lyle to estimate his ages for the geologic home 00:42:38.55\00:42:42.82 and the dates for the different fossils. 00:42:42.86\00:42:44.93 They've been refined or so over the last 100 years. 00:42:44.96\00:42:47.30 So, that's the fossil age... 00:42:47.33\00:42:48.66 of course, these fossils seem to use these indicators 00:42:48.70\00:42:51.67 of their different ages 00:42:51.70\00:42:53.03 and we can see there that the Conventional age 00:42:53.07\00:42:56.44 is about 220 million years from the fossils. 00:42:56.47\00:42:59.97 When we use Potassium-Argon dating 00:43:00.01\00:43:01.74 and these were all Isotope dating 00:43:01.81\00:43:04.55 which is the next accurate form of Radiometric dating 00:43:04.61\00:43:07.92 using different minerals on the same rock. 00:43:07.95\00:43:11.12 The Potassium-Argon age was 174 million years. 00:43:11.15\00:43:14.79 The Rubidium-Strontium age was 393 million years. 00:43:14.82\00:43:19.36 The Samarium-Neodymium age was 259 million years. 00:43:19.39\00:43:24.90 And the Lead-Lead age was 1,425 million years. 00:43:24.93\00:43:29.87 But yet the Australian continent would erode away 00:43:29.90\00:43:34.78 in less than 10 million years. 00:43:34.81\00:43:36.38 Pause... 00:43:36.41\00:43:38.31 If you're writing up your Master's thesis or your Ph. D. 00:43:38.35\00:43:41.52 what year are you going to put in? 00:43:41.55\00:43:43.85 The age of the rock. 00:43:43.89\00:43:46.52 Let's look at something else, 00:43:46.55\00:43:49.22 Mount Ngauruhoe that erupted in 1948... 1954... 00:43:49.26\00:43:54.50 and was dated... the lava was dated in 1999 00:43:54.53\00:43:59.70 at the Australian National University Earth Sciences 00:43:59.73\00:44:02.70 laboratories there. 00:44:02.74\00:44:04.91 Now, Australia National University... 00:44:04.94\00:44:06.91 one of the top universities in Australia 00:44:06.94\00:44:11.31 and there are the dates that they got. 00:44:11.35\00:44:13.35 Rubidium-Strontium... 133 million years is the average 00:44:13.38\00:44:19.35 197 million years for Samarium-Neodymium... 00:44:19.39\00:44:22.66 Lead-Lead... 3,908 million years, 00:44:22.69\00:44:27.10 Actual age... 45 years. 00:44:27.13\00:44:31.47 Audience: Laughter. 00:44:31.50\00:44:37.51 Now let's not hit dating, 00:44:37.54\00:44:39.34 I mean, that's our top university, 00:44:39.37\00:44:41.48 probably they would vie with Melbourne 00:44:41.51\00:44:43.58 for the top university. 00:44:43.61\00:44:45.28 Carbon 14 dating also supports young ages. 00:44:45.31\00:44:49.32 Now, one of the things that we need to understand 00:44:49.35\00:44:52.35 with Carbon 14 dating is that 00:44:52.39\00:44:53.99 there's a half-life of only 5,727 years, 00:44:54.02\00:44:57.46 and so, after a 100,000 years, 00:44:57.49\00:45:01.83 there would really be no realistic detectable Carbon 14 00:45:01.86\00:45:06.10 in a sample that you would put in a Spectrometer. 00:45:06.13\00:45:08.64 As a matter of fact, if the entire world 00:45:08.67\00:45:10.67 was made of Carbon 14, 00:45:10.71\00:45:12.04 after a million years, 00:45:12.07\00:45:13.41 there would be no detectable Carbon 14. 00:45:13.44\00:45:14.98 The fossils that came by the Radiometric dating 00:45:15.01\00:45:19.51 that most of the dinosaurs and so forth 00:45:19.55\00:45:21.82 to be more than 70 million years old 00:45:21.85\00:45:24.05 because that was the major extinction of the dinosaurs 00:45:24.09\00:45:26.52 at the end of the Cretaceous Period 00:45:26.55\00:45:29.79 and so, if we find Carbon 14 there, 00:45:29.82\00:45:32.69 there must be less in absolute terms, 00:45:32.73\00:45:35.26 it's probably less than 100,000 years old 00:45:35.30\00:45:39.03 and let's have a look at some things. 00:45:39.07\00:45:42.74 Carbon 14 now has been found in diamonds... 00:45:42.77\00:45:46.11 in coal... in fossils. 00:45:46.14\00:45:47.78 Let's have a look at some ages. 00:45:47.81\00:45:50.95 Number of coal samples have been... 00:45:50.98\00:45:53.68 these range from 40- to 300-million years 00:45:53.72\00:45:56.79 and the typical Carbon dates coming about 40- to 50,000 years 00:45:56.85\00:46:01.72 and one of the things I need to point out here is that 00:46:01.76\00:46:06.76 this is just the... the straight carbon age 00:46:06.80\00:46:10.00 which is based on the Carbon 14 in the atmosphere 00:46:10.07\00:46:12.63 that we have at the present time. 00:46:12.67\00:46:14.57 Now, the Carbon 14 in the atmosphere 00:46:14.60\00:46:16.44 is produced by cosmic rays coming from outer space 00:46:16.47\00:46:19.07 which are positively-charged particles. 00:46:19.11\00:46:21.38 They hit atoms in the upper atmosphere, 00:46:21.41\00:46:23.65 produce high-energy neutrons 00:46:23.68\00:46:25.08 those high-energy neutrons then produce... hit other atoms 00:46:25.11\00:46:29.58 and produce high-energy protons which are charge particles 00:46:29.62\00:46:34.06 a high-energy proton... 00:46:34.09\00:46:35.99 it is a nitrogen nucleus up in the atmosphere 00:46:36.02\00:46:38.56 sorry... high-energy neutron, sorry... 00:46:38.59\00:46:41.40 it is a Nitrogen atmosphere... a Nitrogen nucleus 00:46:41.43\00:46:45.77 knocks out a proton 00:46:45.83\00:46:47.20 and that changes it from Nitrogen to Carbon 00:46:47.24\00:46:50.04 because an element is defined by the number of protons 00:46:50.07\00:46:52.47 in the nucleus, 70 Nitrogen... 60 Carbon... 00:46:52.51\00:46:55.08 and so that's how it comes falling forms 00:46:55.11\00:46:57.51 so it depends on the flux of cosmic rays, 00:46:57.55\00:46:59.58 we don't know what it was in the past. 00:46:59.61\00:47:01.75 Secondly, the earth's magnetic field 00:47:01.78\00:47:03.92 protects us from cosmic rays 00:47:03.95\00:47:05.45 by repelling the initial positive particles 00:47:05.49\00:47:08.36 and we know that the earth's magnetic field 00:47:08.39\00:47:11.19 was much stronger in the past, 00:47:11.23\00:47:12.96 it's declined 10% in the past a 150 years. 00:47:12.99\00:47:16.16 So, we don't know what the level of Carbon 14 was in the past 00:47:16.20\00:47:20.94 but it would have been much less. 00:47:20.97\00:47:22.30 Furthermore, we know there was a lot more Carbon Oxide 00:47:22.37\00:47:25.14 in the atmosphere in the past, 00:47:25.17\00:47:26.51 it's not locked up as coal and limestone. 00:47:26.54\00:47:28.54 When we take these factors into account and do estimates, 00:47:28.64\00:47:32.65 it brings those 40- and 50-thousand-years ages, 00:47:32.71\00:47:36.25 back to only 4- or 5,000 years. 00:47:36.28\00:47:38.82 Now, I know that was fairly complex 00:47:38.85\00:47:41.26 but essentially what it's saying is, 00:47:41.32\00:47:44.16 these Carbon-14 dates are actually based 00:47:44.23\00:47:47.00 on the Carbon-14 level in 1950 in the atmosphere 00:47:47.03\00:47:50.90 that's why if we had a T-Shirt that we bought in Target 00:47:50.93\00:47:53.77 analyzed today, 00:47:53.84\00:47:55.17 we'd probably analyze it about 1,000 years old 00:47:55.20\00:47:57.37 because of the dilution effect 00:47:57.41\00:47:59.01 of the additional Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere just recently. 00:47:59.04\00:48:03.01 So, these are some... when we correct for these, 00:48:03.04\00:48:06.82 our Carbon-14 dates all come back to the Biblical timeline. 00:48:06.85\00:48:10.62 So, again, we find diamonds which are very inert 00:48:10.65\00:48:18.99 when we date them... they have Carbon 14 in them as well. 00:48:19.06\00:48:22.76 So, again, all these things must fit the Biblical timeline. 00:48:22.80\00:48:26.50 There was soft tissue in a number of dinosaurs 00:48:26.53\00:48:30.27 that was being measured and showed to contain Carbon 14. 00:48:30.31\00:48:34.28 The... the fact that we've found soft tissue in dinosaurs, 00:48:34.31\00:48:38.21 again... that tissue can't be millions of years old. 00:48:38.25\00:48:40.88 We know the rate of which collagen in these tissues 00:48:40.92\00:48:43.59 break down. 00:48:43.62\00:48:44.95 They can only be 1,000s of years old. 00:48:44.99\00:48:46.62 So, all these things are pointing to a young age 00:48:46.65\00:48:50.79 for life on earth. 00:48:50.83\00:48:52.56 Also, we have the decay of the genome. 00:48:52.59\00:48:56.56 We are accumulating mutations. 00:48:56.90\00:48:58.40 We have more mutations in us than our parents 00:48:58.43\00:49:02.30 and more than our grandparents 00:49:02.37\00:49:04.51 and our children have more than us. 00:49:04.57\00:49:06.68 Every living thing is accumulating increased mutations 00:49:06.71\00:49:11.41 in Mitrochondrial DNA 00:49:11.45\00:49:13.08 and so, we know from that that life on earth at most 00:49:13.11\00:49:18.15 absolute generously 00:49:18.19\00:49:19.92 can't be more than 100,000 years old 00:49:19.95\00:49:22.09 and realistically, can't be more than about 10,000 years old 00:49:22.12\00:49:26.09 otherwise, we would have accumulated more mutations 00:49:26.13\00:49:28.60 and we probably wouldn't exist now. 00:49:28.63\00:49:31.07 We're on a clock that's winding down genetically 00:49:31.10\00:49:34.67 but there's more 00:49:34.70\00:49:37.71 and this is a very, very important point. 00:49:37.74\00:49:41.68 Evolution is about material things... 00:49:41.71\00:49:45.61 molecules, chemicals that make up the biological systems 00:49:45.65\00:49:50.09 but who we are is not material. 00:49:50.12\00:49:53.96 Let me ask you something, can you move your little finger? 00:49:53.99\00:49:57.09 Can you move your little finger? 00:49:57.13\00:49:58.73 Some of you can, I can see. 00:49:58.76\00:50:01.43 How did you move your little finger? 00:50:01.46\00:50:03.83 Audience: Laughter. 00:50:03.87\00:50:05.70 Let me ask you a question. 00:50:05.73\00:50:08.04 Can you weigh your brain? 00:50:08.10\00:50:10.01 Audience is quiet. 00:50:10.04\00:50:12.31 Yeah, you can weigh... 00:50:12.34\00:50:14.21 well, when your dead hopefully, or you know... 00:50:14.24\00:50:16.38 after you've died... it would be better then 00:50:16.41\00:50:19.98 but somebody could cut it out and put it on a scale 00:50:20.02\00:50:23.05 and weigh it. 00:50:23.08\00:50:24.55 They could squash it into a measuring cylinder 00:50:24.59\00:50:26.62 and measure its volume 00:50:26.65\00:50:28.32 can they weigh your thoughts? 00:50:28.39\00:50:30.23 Can't put thoughts on the balance. 00:50:30.26\00:50:33.56 Your thoughts are non-material. 00:50:33.60\00:50:37.20 Who you are is non-material. 00:50:37.23\00:50:40.80 This body is just as Paul describes it... a tent... 00:50:40.84\00:50:46.44 a temporary tent that we're in. 00:50:46.47\00:50:48.41 It enables us to operate in this physical world 00:50:48.44\00:50:51.81 that God created 00:50:51.85\00:50:53.55 but God is non-material too. 00:50:53.58\00:50:56.02 God said all this... He spoke it into existence. 00:50:56.05\00:50:59.75 The real "us" is non-material 00:50:59.82\00:51:03.59 and God designed us and made us 00:51:03.63\00:51:07.36 so that He could communicate with us. 00:51:07.40\00:51:10.20 How does He communicate with us? 00:51:10.27\00:51:11.60 With our mind... the non-material part of us... 00:51:11.63\00:51:15.60 that's the precious part of us... 00:51:15.64\00:51:18.21 that's why Paul says, 00:51:18.24\00:51:19.97 "No matter what people do to this body, 00:51:20.01\00:51:22.14 they can't really destroy me 00:51:22.18\00:51:23.85 because who "me" is is non-material 00:51:23.88\00:51:27.88 and that's why Jesus said, 00:51:27.92\00:51:31.25 "I'm the vine, you are the branches. " 00:51:31.29\00:51:34.66 We connect to Jesus through faith... 00:51:34.69\00:51:38.03 through our mind... 00:51:38.09\00:51:39.83 we are connected to God who is eternal. 00:51:39.86\00:51:43.97 That's why in John 17:3, 00:51:44.00\00:51:46.37 Jesus said, "This is eternal life, 00:51:46.40\00:51:48.84 to know God, and His Son whom He has sent. " 00:51:48.87\00:51:53.04 That's the important thing 00:51:53.07\00:51:55.68 and evolution can't explain the origin of the mind. 00:51:55.71\00:52:01.25 Pause... 00:52:01.28\00:52:03.59 Evolution is just material... it can't explain the mind. 00:52:03.62\00:52:08.19 The bottom line is this, 00:52:08.22\00:52:10.63 we didn't evolve. 00:52:10.66\00:52:13.50 Evolution is impossible. 00:52:13.53\00:52:16.16 A living cell can't form by chance 00:52:16.20\00:52:19.73 and even if it did, it can't become alive naturally. 00:52:19.80\00:52:23.51 God started everything. 00:52:23.54\00:52:26.04 We and life on earth are the evidence of the Supernatural. 00:52:26.07\00:52:31.51 There's no natural explanation for life. 00:52:31.55\00:52:36.89 Evolution... a new type of organism doesn't happen. 00:52:36.92\00:52:41.92 Life on earth is not millions of years old. 00:52:41.99\00:52:45.26 An Atheistic world view does not explain life on earth. 00:52:45.29\00:52:50.57 The Biblical world view fits Science 00:52:50.60\00:52:53.60 that a super Intelligent Non-material Creator 00:52:53.64\00:52:59.04 created this material universe 00:52:59.07\00:53:02.31 the world in which we're in... and us... 00:53:02.34\00:53:06.01 and we're special 00:53:06.05\00:53:08.32 and that's why He's called "Our Heavenly Father. " 00:53:08.35\00:53:11.49 God made humans in the beginning... 00:53:11.52\00:53:14.26 God destroyed the corrupted world... 00:53:14.29\00:53:16.96 God created humans with a mind that could communicate with God. 00:53:16.99\00:53:22.36 God walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden 00:53:22.40\00:53:26.40 and spoke with them. 00:53:26.43\00:53:27.94 That was His desire and that's His desire now 00:53:27.97\00:53:31.84 that everyone on this planet come to know Him 00:53:31.87\00:53:35.71 and that's our job... 00:53:35.74\00:53:37.38 that's our job. 00:53:37.41\00:53:39.18 Jesus came to show us the way. 00:53:39.21\00:53:41.08 Through Jesus we can be reunited with our heavenly Father 00:53:41.12\00:53:44.99 and that's the gospel. 00:53:45.02\00:53:46.35 That's what we've got to share... 00:53:46.39\00:53:48.09 that's why I am passionate about Creation. 00:53:48.12\00:53:51.59 This is the good news that Jesus spoke about. 00:53:51.63\00:53:55.06 This is the will of God 00:53:55.13\00:53:57.47 that everyone who sees the Son and believes on Him 00:53:57.50\00:54:00.90 should have eternal life 00:54:00.94\00:54:02.27 and Jesus will raise Him on the last day. 00:54:02.30\00:54:05.37 Spread the message. 00:54:05.41\00:54:06.74 Thank you. 00:54:06.78\00:54:08.11
