And this is eternal life that they may know you, 00:00:05.93\00:00:10.14 the only true God 00:00:10.17\00:00:12.44 and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 00:00:12.47\00:00:15.71 Welcome to 3ABN Australia Homecoming. 00:00:20.42\00:00:23.92 Well, Tim, this is the last program 00:00:28.89\00:00:30.39 for Friday night. 00:00:30.43\00:00:31.76 Right. And it has been a full day. 00:00:31.79\00:00:33.86 We have been here since like... 00:00:33.90\00:00:36.03 This morning. Early in the morning. 00:00:36.06\00:00:37.93 So but it's been a wonderful day. 00:00:37.97\00:00:39.37 Yes, it has. 00:00:39.40\00:00:40.74 Spending the day in the Word of God 00:00:40.77\00:00:42.10 is never wasted, right? 00:00:42.14\00:00:43.47 Oh, no, it's very good. And we've had... 00:00:43.51\00:00:44.84 Who's enjoyed the messages that we've had so far? 00:00:44.87\00:00:47.44 I have. 00:00:47.48\00:00:48.81 I see hands going up, but not a lot of amens 00:00:48.84\00:00:50.85 or praise the Lord. 00:00:50.88\00:00:52.21 They're silent amens. 00:00:52.25\00:00:53.58 Do you know that opening, I really enjoyed that 00:00:53.62\00:00:55.95 because there's a section 00:00:55.98\00:00:58.42 where John is with our grandson, 00:00:58.45\00:01:00.96 reading him the story of Zacchaeus 00:01:00.99\00:01:05.19 and when Diane's there and she's praying, 00:01:05.23\00:01:07.53 that pelican flew across just to shoot his head up 00:01:07.56\00:01:12.33 and so it was unplanned. 00:01:12.37\00:01:13.70 So that wasn't planned? 00:01:13.74\00:01:15.07 No. Unplanned. 00:01:15.10\00:01:16.44 Not at all. Oh, that's for the bird. 00:01:16.47\00:01:17.81 I'm sorry, it was a just... God just... 00:01:17.84\00:01:19.51 That was for the birds. 00:01:19.54\00:01:21.81 So God was really good. 00:01:21.84\00:01:23.75 It's was just exciting to have that happen, 00:01:23.78\00:01:26.08 but right now we have someone who's going to play the piano. 00:01:26.11\00:01:30.42 Right. Do you remember who that is? 00:01:30.45\00:01:31.95 That is Henry Higgins. 00:01:31.99\00:01:33.56 Henry Higgins. 00:01:33.59\00:01:34.96 Henry Higgins, yes. 00:01:34.99\00:01:36.32 Wonderful piano player and pan flutist. 00:01:36.36\00:01:38.79 Yes. And he plays the double bass. 00:01:38.83\00:01:41.20 Really? 00:01:41.23\00:01:42.56 And I think the cello, and he's a great musician. 00:01:42.60\00:01:46.53 Awesome. Yes. 00:01:46.57\00:01:47.90 And he will be followed by our speaker this evening. 00:01:47.94\00:01:50.04 Who is... 00:01:50.07\00:01:51.41 Pastor Gary Kent from the Incredible Journey. 00:01:51.44\00:01:54.28 And do you know what he's speaking on? 00:01:54.31\00:01:55.81 He's preaching on God, the Creator, 00:01:55.84\00:01:57.75 knowing God as God, the Creator. 00:01:57.78\00:02:00.38 That's right. 00:02:00.42\00:02:01.75 And Henry is going to play for us a beautiful song, 00:02:01.78\00:02:06.02 a hymn that you'll all know in the garden. 00:02:06.05\00:02:09.89 So, Henry, I really look forward to this 00:02:09.92\00:02:11.86 'cause I love your piano play. 00:02:11.89\00:02:13.90 Thank you. God bless you. 00:02:13.93\00:02:15.30 Well, Henry, thank you so much. 00:06:46.80\00:06:50.44 Friends, hasn't that music been heavenly this evening? 00:06:50.47\00:06:54.61 It's a privilege to worship with you 00:06:54.64\00:06:59.08 this Sabbath evening. 00:06:59.11\00:07:01.78 Robin and I left Sydney early. 00:07:01.82\00:07:04.35 We wanted to be here in good time to hear the music 00:07:04.39\00:07:07.46 and sharing the fellowship. 00:07:07.49\00:07:09.42 But have you noticed, 00:07:09.46\00:07:11.23 there seems to be 00:07:11.26\00:07:12.59 so many more cars on the road these days 00:07:12.63\00:07:15.36 between Sydney and Newcastle? 00:07:15.40\00:07:17.67 You know, we left just after 3 o'clock, 00:07:17.70\00:07:20.07 thinking that we'd have plenty of time. 00:07:20.10\00:07:22.84 We were in a traffic jam literally over half the way 00:07:22.87\00:07:28.64 but you know, we didn't waste the time. 00:07:28.68\00:07:31.81 We got our phones out 00:07:31.85\00:07:34.52 and we were able to speak to our daughter in Brisbane, 00:07:34.55\00:07:40.59 a son in Singapore, 00:07:40.62\00:07:43.12 another daughter in London, 00:07:43.16\00:07:46.33 and a sister in America 00:07:46.36\00:07:48.23 who's just welcoming her granddaughter 00:07:48.26\00:07:52.43 who was born today. 00:07:52.47\00:07:54.77 All while we were stuck in the traffic 00:07:54.80\00:07:56.91 on the way up here. 00:07:56.94\00:08:00.01 It's a reminder that we live 00:08:00.04\00:08:02.74 in an age 00:08:02.78\00:08:04.61 of tremendous technology and knowledge. 00:08:04.65\00:08:07.28 Isn't that right? 00:08:07.32\00:08:08.68 Think of the knowledge that makes it possible for us 00:08:08.72\00:08:11.39 to speak to family members all over the world 00:08:11.42\00:08:14.32 and to know what's happening there. 00:08:14.36\00:08:18.19 We're also able to check out some details 00:08:18.23\00:08:22.86 about some information we wanted to find out. 00:08:22.90\00:08:28.60 We were able to tap into the net. 00:08:28.64\00:08:33.01 And, again, a reminder that we live in an age, 00:08:33.04\00:08:39.51 in an era of knowledge. 00:08:39.55\00:08:42.58 We want to know everything today. 00:08:42.62\00:08:44.59 We want to know exactly the moment that happens. 00:08:44.62\00:08:49.02 That's our age. 00:08:49.06\00:08:51.56 Do you know, friends, how important 00:08:51.59\00:08:54.30 in this age of knowledge and knowing everything 00:08:54.33\00:08:59.07 that we don't forget 00:08:59.10\00:09:01.60 the importance of knowing God 00:09:01.64\00:09:06.31 and keeping our relationship strong, 00:09:06.34\00:09:09.61 and vibrant, and vital. 00:09:09.64\00:09:12.18 Let's bow our heads in prayer. 00:09:15.22\00:09:19.12 Dear heavenly Father, this Sabbath evening, 00:09:19.15\00:09:24.19 we bow before You, 00:09:24.23\00:09:26.90 acknowledging You as the Master of the Universe, 00:09:26.93\00:09:32.33 Creator of heaven and earth. 00:09:32.37\00:09:37.44 And, Father, we thank You that You love us, 00:09:37.47\00:09:43.71 and care for each one of us, 00:09:43.75\00:09:46.28 and are interested in everything about us. 00:09:46.31\00:09:49.32 We are so grateful that You want to know us. 00:09:49.35\00:09:54.16 And so, Father, as we worship You this evening, 00:09:54.19\00:09:59.19 we invite Your presence and ask for Your blessing, 00:09:59.23\00:10:04.53 in Jesus' name, amen. 00:10:04.57\00:10:10.11 Over the centuries, 00:10:10.14\00:10:12.34 the world's great men and women 00:10:12.37\00:10:15.18 have tried to alter the course of history, 00:10:15.21\00:10:20.78 and their actions and achievements 00:10:20.82\00:10:24.35 have influenced millions 00:10:24.39\00:10:29.79 and are still doing so today. 00:10:29.82\00:10:34.70 Some have tried to rule by might and power 00:10:34.73\00:10:37.83 and we know their names off by heart today. 00:10:37.87\00:10:41.70 Some of them we even call great, 00:10:41.74\00:10:44.61 Cyrus the Great, 00:10:44.64\00:10:46.68 Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, 00:10:46.71\00:10:52.81 Charlemagne, Napoleon, Hitler. 00:10:52.85\00:10:56.02 Yes, they have tried to rule by might, 00:10:56.05\00:11:00.52 but their empires have disappeared 00:11:04.29\00:11:08.63 because you see, friends, any ruler, 00:11:08.66\00:11:11.83 no matter how numerous their weapons 00:11:11.87\00:11:16.10 must ultimately rule by means other than might and power, 00:11:16.14\00:11:22.74 by means other than force if they are to retain power, 00:11:22.78\00:11:27.88 authority and influence. 00:11:27.92\00:11:33.19 If they are to retain that influence, 00:11:33.22\00:11:38.53 they must rule by persuasion. 00:11:38.56\00:11:43.40 And that is why those who have made 00:11:43.43\00:11:46.03 the greatest impact on our world are individuals 00:11:46.07\00:11:50.37 who have introduced concepts and ideas 00:11:50.41\00:11:54.98 that have persuaded that is, that have influenced 00:11:55.01\00:11:59.41 millions of earth's inhabitants. 00:11:59.45\00:12:03.69 And through their ideas, 00:12:03.72\00:12:05.62 their concepts, their philosophies, 00:12:05.65\00:12:08.02 they have reached into the minds of the masses. 00:12:08.06\00:12:11.79 They've reached 00:12:11.83\00:12:13.16 into the minds of millions of people 00:12:13.19\00:12:16.33 in their own generation and in future generations. 00:12:16.36\00:12:20.04 And, friends, by influencing and controlling 00:12:20.07\00:12:23.41 people's minds in a sense, they have ruled the world. 00:12:23.44\00:12:29.54 It's a reminder that the pen 00:12:32.61\00:12:37.25 is mightier than the sword. 00:12:37.29\00:12:40.19 Words, ideas, concepts, philosophies 00:12:40.22\00:12:45.86 can change the world. 00:12:45.89\00:12:48.50 And we know people who've done that, 00:12:48.53\00:12:51.40 Buddha, Aristotle, Plato, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, 00:12:51.43\00:12:56.67 Galileo, Newton, Copernicus. 00:12:56.71\00:13:02.21 All have made an impact on the world 00:13:02.24\00:13:06.41 and changed history by introducing new ideas, 00:13:06.45\00:13:10.45 concepts and philosophies. 00:13:10.49\00:13:13.82 These great ideas people, these thought makers 00:13:13.86\00:13:20.70 have influenced the minds of the masses. 00:13:20.73\00:13:24.33 And so in their own ways, they have conquered the world. 00:13:24.37\00:13:28.54 The last two centuries 00:13:28.57\00:13:31.41 have seen some of the most 00:13:31.44\00:13:33.61 influential thought makers of all time. 00:13:33.64\00:13:38.58 Charles Darwin, Karl Marx, 00:13:38.61\00:13:44.09 Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Mahatma Gandhi. 00:13:44.12\00:13:49.32 Tonight, we are going to consider 00:13:49.36\00:13:53.96 one of these great thought makers, 00:13:54.00\00:13:57.83 arguably the most influential of them all. 00:13:57.87\00:14:04.01 He pinned the most influential book 00:14:04.04\00:14:07.58 written in the last two centuries. 00:14:07.61\00:14:10.55 Now, friends, you think about it, 00:14:10.58\00:14:12.11 think about the amount of words 00:14:12.15\00:14:14.38 that has been, have been written, 00:14:14.42\00:14:16.05 the number of books that have been written 00:14:16.08\00:14:18.22 in the last 200 years, which one of them 00:14:18.25\00:14:20.92 was the most influential of all. 00:14:20.96\00:14:24.39 Well, friends, the most influential book 00:14:24.43\00:14:27.33 written in the last two centuries 00:14:27.36\00:14:30.03 was written by this man, 00:14:30.07\00:14:33.67 Charles Robert Darwin. 00:14:33.70\00:14:38.61 Charles Robert Darwin, his book 00:14:38.64\00:14:44.98 "The Origin of Species," the most influential book 00:14:45.01\00:14:49.58 written in the last two centuries. 00:14:49.62\00:14:52.25 This book has done more than any other 00:14:52.29\00:14:55.29 to shape modern thought. 00:14:55.32\00:14:57.63 This book has changed the way you and I live today. 00:14:57.66\00:15:01.46 It's changed the trend of religion. 00:15:01.50\00:15:03.77 It's changed theology, politics, philosophy. 00:15:03.80\00:15:08.37 It's changed the teaching of history, 00:15:08.40\00:15:10.71 biology, literature, and even morality. 00:15:10.74\00:15:14.91 This book, "The Origin of Species," 00:15:17.98\00:15:23.59 brought about a complete change in our modern world. 00:15:23.62\00:15:30.13 Charles Darwin came from a wealthy family. 00:15:30.16\00:15:35.00 His father was the physician to the king 00:15:35.03\00:15:37.37 to the royal household. 00:15:37.40\00:15:39.90 And Charles Darwin decided 00:15:39.93\00:15:41.34 that he was going to follow in the footsteps 00:15:41.37\00:15:43.51 of his father and grandfather. 00:15:43.54\00:15:46.07 And so he traveled to Edinburgh 00:15:46.11\00:15:48.81 and he enrolled in the University there 00:15:48.84\00:15:50.81 to study medicine. 00:15:50.85\00:15:52.18 He was going to be a doctor, but something happened. 00:15:52.21\00:15:56.05 He couldn't stand the sight of blood. 00:15:56.08\00:15:59.85 Not good for a doctor. 00:15:59.89\00:16:03.59 And so he had to change his plans. 00:16:03.63\00:16:06.06 He left Edinburgh 00:16:06.09\00:16:08.26 and he traveled down to Cambridge. 00:16:08.30\00:16:11.93 And he decided that now he was going to be 00:16:11.97\00:16:15.74 a church minister. 00:16:15.77\00:16:18.11 And so he enrolled in the theology program. 00:16:18.14\00:16:21.94 And he graduated from Cambridge from that theology program 00:16:21.98\00:16:25.65 in the year 1831. 00:16:25.68\00:16:27.12 And at the age of 22, 00:16:27.15\00:16:29.75 Charles Darwin was going to become the Reverend Darwin 00:16:29.78\00:16:34.82 in a small Anglican country church. 00:16:34.86\00:16:40.56 But then something happened 00:16:40.60\00:16:44.07 that changed the course of history. 00:16:44.10\00:16:48.97 He was invited to join the Beagle on a trip, 00:16:49.00\00:16:55.54 a sailing trip around the world. 00:16:55.58\00:17:01.28 He was a naturalist. 00:17:01.32\00:17:02.65 He was interested in the things of nature. 00:17:02.68\00:17:05.35 And so, rather than becoming a preacher of the Bible, 00:17:05.39\00:17:10.93 Charles Darwin instead accepted this invitation 00:17:10.96\00:17:13.93 and became a naturalist aboard HMS Beagle. 00:17:13.96\00:17:19.37 They sailed the world, circumnavigated the world. 00:17:19.40\00:17:24.37 But of all the wonderful places that they visited, 00:17:24.41\00:17:30.18 the one of supreme importance to Charles Darwin 00:17:30.21\00:17:35.18 was the Galapagos Islands. 00:17:35.22\00:17:38.22 Now, the Galapagos Islands 00:17:38.25\00:17:40.26 are situated about 1000 kilometers 00:17:40.29\00:17:43.12 west of Ecuador in South America. 00:17:43.16\00:17:47.00 It consists of 13 main islands 00:17:47.03\00:17:49.56 and a number of smaller islands. 00:17:49.60\00:17:52.63 And so as he made that trip 00:17:52.67\00:17:54.10 and saw all these wonderful places, 00:17:54.14\00:17:57.11 it was the Galapagos Island 00:17:57.14\00:17:59.37 that made the greatest impression on him. 00:17:59.41\00:18:02.48 And, friends, on the day that Charles Darwin 00:18:02.51\00:18:05.48 step to shore on the Galapagos Islands, 00:18:05.51\00:18:08.72 a new epoch of world history began 00:18:08.75\00:18:13.56 because, you see, Darwin 00:18:13.59\00:18:15.42 was immediately struck 00:18:15.46\00:18:16.79 by the number of unique plants and animals 00:18:16.83\00:18:19.06 in this one place. 00:18:19.09\00:18:21.40 And he wondered, 00:18:21.43\00:18:22.76 how can all this variety be here? 00:18:22.80\00:18:25.50 How did all this variety 00:18:25.53\00:18:27.87 come about in this isolated place 00:18:27.90\00:18:30.14 so far from everywhere else? 00:18:30.17\00:18:34.68 He was particularly fascinated 00:18:34.71\00:18:38.05 by the little finches, 00:18:38.08\00:18:41.98 the different kinds of finches 00:18:42.02\00:18:44.95 that lived on the various islands. 00:18:44.99\00:18:48.39 Although the birds, 00:18:48.42\00:18:49.76 these little birds all looked similar, 00:18:49.79\00:18:54.86 their beaks were different. 00:18:54.90\00:18:57.57 Their beaks were different, a different shape 00:18:57.60\00:18:59.33 on each of the islands. 00:18:59.37\00:19:01.44 And the shape of their beaks 00:19:01.47\00:19:05.51 depended on the type of fruit available. 00:19:05.54\00:19:09.58 On one island, 00:19:09.61\00:19:11.28 the finches had very thick beaks 00:19:11.31\00:19:14.68 because they lived on nuts, 00:19:14.72\00:19:16.65 they had to crack the nutshells. 00:19:16.69\00:19:19.05 But on other islands, 00:19:19.09\00:19:20.42 they needed different beaks to eat the fruit. 00:19:20.46\00:19:22.62 And so they had thin, narrow beaks, 00:19:22.66\00:19:25.49 so that they could easily feed on these fruit. 00:19:25.53\00:19:29.20 Darwin was very excited by his discovery 00:19:29.23\00:19:34.30 and as he documented 00:19:34.34\00:19:36.17 the various finches in these islands 00:19:36.20\00:19:39.24 with their funny shape beaks, he began to develop 00:19:39.27\00:19:45.85 the theory of evolution. 00:19:45.88\00:19:50.55 He realized that they had adapted 00:19:50.59\00:19:52.49 to their environment. 00:19:52.52\00:19:55.29 Oh, thank you very much, Aiden. 00:19:55.32\00:19:56.89 Thank you. 00:19:56.93\00:19:58.26 One of winter's gifts. 00:20:01.73\00:20:04.87 A cold. 00:20:04.90\00:20:07.54 So as he looked 00:20:07.57\00:20:11.51 at these funny shaped beaks on these little birds 00:20:11.54\00:20:16.98 and saw how they had developed different shaped beaks 00:20:17.01\00:20:23.42 according to their environment, 00:20:23.45\00:20:26.49 he began to develop the theory of evolution. 00:20:26.52\00:20:31.06 And little did anyone realize 00:20:31.09\00:20:33.60 that the seed sown in Darwin's mind 00:20:33.63\00:20:37.60 on the Galapagos Islands would divide history in half? 00:20:37.63\00:20:43.27 You see, friends, before Darwin belief in God, the Creator 00:20:43.30\00:20:50.05 had been almost, 00:20:50.08\00:20:52.15 well, believed by almost everybody in the Western world 00:20:52.18\00:20:56.48 before Darwin. 00:20:56.52\00:20:59.12 After Darwin, 00:20:59.15\00:21:01.56 faith in a Creator God would become impossible, 00:21:01.59\00:21:06.46 even irrelevant 00:21:06.49\00:21:09.66 for most people in the Western world. 00:21:09.70\00:21:11.70 And so when Charles Darwin returned to England, 00:21:15.64\00:21:20.44 they spend a little time in London, 00:21:20.48\00:21:23.65 and then he moved his family to the little town of Down 00:21:23.68\00:21:30.49 in the county of Kent. 00:21:30.52\00:21:33.19 What a good name. 00:21:33.22\00:21:34.56 And there he began to further develop this theory 00:21:38.19\00:21:44.00 that he was cooking up in his mind. 00:21:44.03\00:21:47.10 This theory that he was developing 00:21:47.14\00:21:49.37 that he was building. 00:21:49.40\00:21:52.54 And then in a letter to his friend Joseph Hooker, 00:21:52.57\00:21:57.28 written on the 11th of January 1844. 00:21:57.31\00:22:02.58 Darwin first expressed his theory of natural selection 00:22:02.62\00:22:08.09 as a driver of evolution. 00:22:08.12\00:22:12.33 It was all beginning to fall into place. 00:22:12.36\00:22:16.00 And then in the spring of 1844, Darwin wrote a 200 page essay 00:22:16.03\00:22:21.20 with nine chapters that outlined very clearly 00:22:21.24\00:22:24.37 and more carefully his theory of evolution. 00:22:24.41\00:22:28.41 It became known as the essay of 1844. 00:22:28.44\00:22:34.68 And was the first relatively complete outline 00:22:34.72\00:22:39.82 of Darwin's theory of evolution. 00:22:39.85\00:22:43.56 That same year, on the 5th of July, 1844, 00:22:43.59\00:22:46.96 Darwin wrote a letter to his wife 00:22:47.00\00:22:49.50 and in this letter he said, 00:22:49.53\00:22:51.47 "I have just finished my sketch 00:22:51.50\00:22:56.20 of my theory on the species, 00:22:56.24\00:23:00.94 the Origin of the Species." 00:23:00.98\00:23:04.78 But he didn't publish it. 00:23:04.81\00:23:06.88 He didn't publish it that year, 00:23:06.92\00:23:09.28 because he was afraid of the controversy 00:23:09.32\00:23:13.56 that these radical new ideas would create. 00:23:13.59\00:23:18.83 And so instead, he spent the next 15 years 00:23:18.86\00:23:23.93 collecting the evidence to support his new idea. 00:23:23.97\00:23:30.14 And then in the year 1859, 00:23:30.17\00:23:33.44 he pinned and published his book, 00:23:33.48\00:23:39.21 "The Origin of Species," 00:23:39.25\00:23:41.22 the most influential book in modern history, 00:23:41.25\00:23:45.95 "The Origin of Species," 00:23:45.99\00:23:48.52 and on the first page of that book, 00:23:48.56\00:23:51.43 it says, "It was in the year 1844 00:23:51.46\00:23:58.03 that I first made a sketch of my conclusions 00:23:58.07\00:24:02.10 regarding the origin of species." 00:24:02.14\00:24:06.84 In his book, Darwin's theory of evolution, 00:24:09.91\00:24:14.12 suggested that life on planet earth, 00:24:14.15\00:24:17.69 all plant and animal species evolved gradually over millions 00:24:17.72\00:24:22.62 and perhaps even billions of years 00:24:22.66\00:24:25.19 through a series of changes. 00:24:25.23\00:24:26.66 Behind the theory of evolution 00:24:29.70\00:24:35.10 lay a challenge. 00:24:35.14\00:24:37.84 A challenge to what the Bible said 00:24:37.87\00:24:43.08 about how the earth was created 00:24:43.11\00:24:47.85 in six days. 00:24:47.88\00:24:50.89 You see, there were now two views, 00:24:50.92\00:24:53.82 two views on how the earth was made 00:24:53.86\00:24:57.43 and how humans fitted into it. 00:24:57.46\00:24:59.83 There was the Bible's view and there was Darwin's view. 00:24:59.86\00:25:06.43 Now, before long, the scientific community 00:25:06.47\00:25:09.04 largely accepted Darwin's theory, 00:25:09.07\00:25:12.07 Darwin's view of the origin of species. 00:25:12.11\00:25:14.94 And then it was accepted by the wider scholarly world. 00:25:14.98\00:25:19.91 Today, my friends, almost every school, 00:25:19.95\00:25:24.35 college and university in the world 00:25:24.39\00:25:29.29 teaches the theory of evolution 00:25:29.32\00:25:30.99 as if it was an established fact. 00:25:31.03\00:25:32.79 The theory of evolution 00:25:35.90\00:25:39.77 has influenced millions around the world 00:25:39.80\00:25:43.51 to reject the idea 00:25:43.54\00:25:46.94 of a Creator God and to believe rather that 00:25:46.98\00:25:53.35 man evolved over millions of years 00:25:53.38\00:25:59.25 because of Darwin we live in a different era. 00:25:59.29\00:26:04.49 We live in a different world. 00:26:07.46\00:26:09.86 You see, friends, before Darwin, 00:26:09.90\00:26:12.13 God was the answer to life's big questions. 00:26:12.17\00:26:17.54 After Darwin, 00:26:17.57\00:26:20.18 most people today 00:26:20.21\00:26:22.21 look to evolution for the answer 00:26:22.24\00:26:24.71 to life's big questions. 00:26:24.75\00:26:26.75 Where did we come from? 00:26:26.78\00:26:28.68 Why are we here? Where are we going? 00:26:28.72\00:26:31.32 They look to Darwin and the theory of evolution 00:26:31.35\00:26:34.02 for their answers. 00:26:34.06\00:26:37.86 Now, my friends, the two positions, 00:26:37.89\00:26:41.10 the Bible's position and Darwin's position 00:26:41.13\00:26:45.53 are radically different. 00:26:45.57\00:26:48.00 Evolution and Bible creation are incompatible. 00:26:48.04\00:26:52.57 Evolution and Bible creation 00:26:55.61\00:26:57.81 are diametrically opposed to each other. 00:26:57.85\00:27:03.75 I want you to notice with me the progression 00:27:03.79\00:27:07.16 when the theory of evolution 00:27:07.19\00:27:08.66 is carried to its logical conclusion, 00:27:08.69\00:27:11.43 follow me. 00:27:11.46\00:27:13.06 Once the theory of evolution is accepted, 00:27:13.09\00:27:17.50 the first three chapters of the Bible 00:27:17.53\00:27:21.94 that tell us about creation 00:27:21.97\00:27:25.64 become nothing but a series of myths. 00:27:25.67\00:27:29.94 Follow the conclusion with me, 00:27:29.98\00:27:31.95 the logical conclusion regarding evolution. 00:27:31.98\00:27:35.82 Evolution says there is no God. 00:27:35.85\00:27:39.42 Certainly not the God of Genesis. 00:27:39.45\00:27:42.82 If there is no God, there is no creator. 00:27:42.86\00:27:48.50 If there is no creator, there is no Adam. 00:27:48.53\00:27:53.84 If there is no Adam, there is no Eve. 00:27:53.87\00:27:57.17 And my friends, if there is no Eve, 00:27:57.21\00:27:58.94 there is no fall into sin. 00:27:58.97\00:28:00.61 If there is no sin, there's no need of a Savior. 00:28:04.85\00:28:10.72 If there is no Savior, there is no gospel. 00:28:10.75\00:28:12.72 If there is no gospel, there is no divine law. 00:28:12.75\00:28:15.52 Darwin's theory of evolution 00:28:18.93\00:28:23.93 has influenced millions of earth's inhabitants 00:28:23.97\00:28:27.20 and is dramatically changed the thinking of our society. 00:28:27.24\00:28:32.87 The theory of evolution has largely been responsible 00:28:32.91\00:28:35.48 for the decline of Christianity in recent years. 00:28:35.51\00:28:38.81 In England where the theory was launched, 00:28:42.55\00:28:48.62 less than 7% of the population attend church today. 00:28:48.66\00:28:54.60 Here in Australia, it's virtually no different. 00:28:54.63\00:28:59.67 Only 7.8% of our population 00:28:59.70\00:29:03.57 attend church regularly each weekend. 00:29:03.61\00:29:06.81 And so, as the theory of evolution 00:29:06.84\00:29:10.48 has been accepted, and as grown, 00:29:10.51\00:29:12.91 and become more popular and accepted, 00:29:12.95\00:29:15.12 there has been a simultaneous decline 00:29:15.15\00:29:19.95 in the number of people 00:29:19.99\00:29:21.89 who believe the Bible who worship God, 00:29:21.92\00:29:25.13 and attend church regularly. 00:29:25.16\00:29:26.86 Darwin's theory of evolution has been accepted by the masses 00:29:30.67\00:29:36.87 and is played a leading role in people 00:29:36.91\00:29:39.94 no longer believing in God or worshiping God. 00:29:39.97\00:29:46.48 So, friends, how does God 00:29:46.51\00:29:50.55 respond to this devastating attack? 00:29:50.59\00:29:54.82 What is He to do? 00:29:54.86\00:29:56.66 What is God's answer to evolution? 00:29:56.69\00:30:00.30 In the Book of Revelation, Bible's, the Bible's last book, 00:30:06.47\00:30:12.24 God has a special message. 00:30:12.27\00:30:15.84 A message that is to go to all the world, 00:30:15.88\00:30:20.72 and that is to prepare men and women 00:30:20.75\00:30:22.88 for the soon coming of Jesus. 00:30:22.92\00:30:25.42 I want to read it to you. Revelation Chapter 14. 00:30:25.45\00:30:28.76 Notice with me if you have your Bibles 00:30:28.79\00:30:30.59 or follow with me on the screen. 00:30:30.63\00:30:32.73 Revelation 14:6. 00:30:32.76\00:30:35.40 Here it says, "Then I saw another angel 00:30:35.43\00:30:38.73 flying in the midst of heaven, 00:30:38.77\00:30:41.57 having the everlasting gospel to preach to them 00:30:41.60\00:30:44.07 that dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, 00:30:44.11\00:30:47.18 tongue and people," 00:30:47.21\00:30:48.54 he has God's message, 00:30:48.58\00:30:52.45 "Fear God, and give glory to Him, 00:30:52.48\00:30:54.15 for the hour of His judgment has come, 00:30:54.18\00:30:57.05 and worship Him who made heaven, and earth, 00:30:57.09\00:31:01.72 the sea and springs of waters." 00:31:01.76\00:31:05.93 And it continues saying with a loud voice," 00:31:05.96\00:31:09.80 you notice, 00:31:09.83\00:31:11.97 "Fear God give glory to Him, 00:31:12.00\00:31:17.14 the hour of his judgment has come, 00:31:17.17\00:31:20.91 worship, worship Him who made heaven and earth, 00:31:20.94\00:31:27.22 the sea and the springs of waters." 00:31:27.25\00:31:31.42 All my friends, in our modern age, 00:31:31.45\00:31:34.96 in the age of evolution that has led millions of people 00:31:34.99\00:31:38.86 lead the masses to believe that there is no Creator, 00:31:38.89\00:31:43.90 God sends a message, 00:31:43.93\00:31:49.80 He sends a message urging all people 00:31:49.84\00:31:53.38 to return to Creator worship. 00:31:53.41\00:31:56.68 But how does He do it? 00:32:00.15\00:32:02.78 How does He get the message out there? 00:32:02.82\00:32:04.65 How does God send his end time message 00:32:04.69\00:32:07.96 to all the world? 00:32:07.99\00:32:11.49 Well, my friends, in the year 1844, 00:32:11.53\00:32:16.26 the very year that Charles Darwin influenced 00:32:16.30\00:32:19.37 and launched the concept, the idea of evolution, 00:32:19.40\00:32:25.97 God raised up a movement. 00:32:26.01\00:32:28.71 A group of people 00:32:28.74\00:32:30.08 to proclaim the everlasting gospel 00:32:30.11\00:32:33.28 and to call people to worship the Creator. 00:32:33.31\00:32:36.72 My friends, in an age 00:32:40.76\00:32:42.09 when the theory of evolution has taken the scientific world 00:32:42.12\00:32:46.53 by storm 00:32:46.56\00:32:48.10 and it's been accepted by the masses. 00:32:48.13\00:32:52.47 God has a people, that people who know him. 00:32:52.50\00:32:57.61 God has a people 00:33:01.21\00:33:02.54 who are to proclaim this message, 00:33:02.58\00:33:07.12 His message, 00:33:07.15\00:33:09.05 calling people to worship the Creator. 00:33:09.08\00:33:13.05 How can we acknowledge God as our Creator? 00:33:16.69\00:33:20.80 How can we worship Him, 00:33:20.83\00:33:23.16 Who made the heavens and the earth, 00:33:23.20\00:33:24.90 the sea and the fountains? 00:33:24.93\00:33:26.84 How do we do that? 00:33:26.87\00:33:29.40 Well, friends, let the Bible answer. 00:33:29.44\00:33:31.71 It's found in the very heart of God's law, 00:33:31.74\00:33:34.78 the Ten Commandments given at Sinai. 00:33:34.81\00:33:37.38 Notice what it says here in Exodus Chapter 20. 00:33:37.41\00:33:41.72 And I'm going to start reading at verse 8. 00:33:41.75\00:33:43.79 Exodus Chapter 20. 00:33:43.82\00:33:46.32 Notice with me verse 8, it says, "Remember, 00:33:46.35\00:33:51.79 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, 00:33:51.83\00:33:55.30 six days you shall labor and do all your work, 00:33:55.33\00:33:58.77 but the seventh day 00:33:58.80\00:34:00.14 is the Sabbath of the Lord your God, 00:34:00.17\00:34:02.77 in it you shall do no work, 00:34:02.80\00:34:04.94 you nor your son, your daughter, 00:34:04.97\00:34:08.08 nor your manservent, nor your maidservant, 00:34:08.11\00:34:10.61 nor your cattle, nor your stranger 00:34:10.65\00:34:12.88 who is within your gates." 00:34:12.91\00:34:14.62 And then it says why? It gives us the reason. 00:34:14.65\00:34:18.49 Why? 00:34:18.52\00:34:21.02 "For in six days 00:34:21.06\00:34:23.06 the Lord made the heavens and the earth, 00:34:23.09\00:34:24.86 the sea and all that is in them, 00:34:24.89\00:34:28.16 and rested the seventh day. 00:34:28.20\00:34:30.97 Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, 00:34:31.00\00:34:36.74 and hallowed it. 00:34:36.77\00:34:38.11 The Sabbath 00:34:43.65\00:34:47.42 is a day for remembering. 00:34:47.45\00:34:52.52 It's a day for remembering and acknowledging our Creator. 00:34:52.55\00:34:59.49 The Creator who has been so carelessly challenged 00:34:59.53\00:35:05.70 by our generation, 00:35:05.73\00:35:08.24 challenged by the theory of evolution, 00:35:08.27\00:35:12.17 the theory that had its origins in the mind of Charles Darwin 00:35:12.21\00:35:18.81 as he watched the little finches 00:35:18.85\00:35:24.22 on the Galapagos Islands. 00:35:24.25\00:35:27.26 The Sabbath is a day for remembering that no, 00:35:27.29\00:35:32.23 we do have a Creator God. 00:35:32.26\00:35:35.43 A God who made the heavens and the earth, 00:35:35.46\00:35:37.83 the sea and the fountains of waters. 00:35:37.87\00:35:39.77 Friends, the Sabbath 00:35:44.51\00:35:47.28 is God's answer to evolution. 00:35:47.31\00:35:52.45 In 1844, the very year that Darwin 00:35:52.48\00:35:56.89 launched the theory of evolution, 00:35:56.92\00:35:59.25 God raised up a people 00:35:59.29\00:36:00.72 to proclaim his end time message, 00:36:00.76\00:36:03.32 and call people back 00:36:03.36\00:36:06.13 to worshiping the Creator. 00:36:06.16\00:36:12.47 And so you see, respecting the Sabbath 00:36:12.50\00:36:17.64 is God's appointed way of acknowledging Him 00:36:17.67\00:36:23.41 as the Creator. 00:36:23.45\00:36:25.81 In our modern age of evolution, the Sabbath calls us back 00:36:25.85\00:36:30.09 to the worship of God our Creator. 00:36:30.12\00:36:33.46 That's why, friends, 00:36:36.86\00:36:39.19 if you go right back to the beginning, 00:36:39.23\00:36:42.16 right back to the creation story, 00:36:42.20\00:36:48.94 the Bible begins with these words. 00:36:48.97\00:36:52.94 Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning, 00:36:52.97\00:36:59.18 God created 00:36:59.21\00:37:02.18 the heavens and the earth." 00:37:02.22\00:37:07.06 And then it goes through the whole story, 00:37:07.09\00:37:09.82 the record of creation, what happened on day one, 00:37:09.86\00:37:13.50 two, three, four, five, six. 00:37:13.53\00:37:18.27 And as God comes 00:37:18.30\00:37:20.24 to the climax of His work, 00:37:20.27\00:37:26.54 as He creates man in His own image. 00:37:26.57\00:37:32.91 You know, it's interesting when you come to the end 00:37:32.95\00:37:35.65 of each creation day, it says, this is what was created 00:37:35.68\00:37:39.55 on the first day and God looked and He saw it was what? 00:37:39.59\00:37:43.56 It was good. 00:37:43.59\00:37:44.93 And He comes to the second day, 00:37:44.96\00:37:46.43 He created and He looked and He saw it was good. 00:37:46.46\00:37:51.00 He comes to the third day, He looks at the end of the day 00:37:51.03\00:37:54.37 upon His handiwork, and He looks and He says, 00:37:54.40\00:37:56.64 "It is good." 00:37:56.67\00:37:58.47 He comes to the fourth, the same thing. 00:37:58.51\00:38:00.71 He looks out over and He said, "It is good." 00:38:00.74\00:38:03.45 He comes to the fifth day 00:38:03.48\00:38:05.68 and all the wonders of creation, 00:38:05.71\00:38:08.48 He looks, and He says, "It is good." 00:38:08.52\00:38:11.52 And then at the end of the sixth day, 00:38:11.55\00:38:15.59 when He's created us, 00:38:15.62\00:38:20.26 when He's created us in His image 00:38:20.30\00:38:24.03 He looks and He says, it's not good. 00:38:24.07\00:38:28.27 It's not just good. It is very good. 00:38:28.30\00:38:33.81 Because you see, friends, God made us 00:38:33.84\00:38:38.28 to have a relationship with Him. 00:38:38.31\00:38:42.08 That's why we were made in His image. 00:38:42.12\00:38:45.35 And so I want you to notice what happens next 00:38:45.39\00:38:47.49 as we come to Genesis 2:1. 00:38:47.52\00:38:50.96 It says, "And thus the heavens and the earth, 00:38:50.99\00:38:53.70 and all the host of them were finished." 00:38:53.73\00:38:56.53 2:2. 00:39:01.40\00:39:02.74 "And on the seventh day 00:39:02.77\00:39:05.61 God ended His work which He had done, 00:39:05.64\00:39:09.41 and He rested on the seventh day 00:39:09.44\00:39:12.05 from all His work which He had done." 00:39:12.08\00:39:14.58 2:3. 00:39:14.62\00:39:16.62 Genesis 2:3, "Then God blessed, 00:39:16.65\00:39:21.76 God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, 00:39:21.79\00:39:25.49 because in it He rested from all His work 00:39:25.53\00:39:28.60 which He had created and made." 00:39:28.63\00:39:30.60 Friends, do you notice, 00:39:33.67\00:39:36.44 Adam and Eve's first day on planet earth 00:39:36.47\00:39:42.84 was spent with God and with each other. 00:39:42.88\00:39:45.21 God wanted to get to know them, 00:39:48.38\00:39:51.79 and He wanted them to get to know Him. 00:39:51.82\00:39:54.42 Their first full day of life on this planet, 00:39:54.46\00:39:59.63 they spent with God. 00:39:59.66\00:40:02.73 And, my friends, that is God's plan. 00:40:02.76\00:40:06.30 That's His intention. 00:40:06.33\00:40:09.30 The Sabbath is a memorial. 00:40:09.34\00:40:11.04 It's a sign that He is the Creator. 00:40:11.07\00:40:17.65 It's a time to get to know God better. 00:40:17.68\00:40:23.05 It's a time to spend with each other. 00:40:23.08\00:40:26.29 It's a time for worship, 00:40:26.32\00:40:29.32 worship of the great Creator God, 00:40:29.36\00:40:31.79 Master of the Universe, the One who made 00:40:31.83\00:40:34.40 the heavens and the earth in six days 00:40:34.43\00:40:36.87 and rested on the seventh. 00:40:36.90\00:40:42.27 That's why the Sabbath 00:40:42.30\00:40:45.17 is God's sign. 00:40:45.21\00:40:49.31 That's what He says in the Book of Ezekiel. 00:40:49.34\00:40:52.81 Ezekiel 20:12. 00:40:52.85\00:40:58.92 Ezekiel 20:12. 00:40:58.95\00:41:03.12 I want you to notice what it says here. 00:41:03.16\00:41:05.96 Very simple, very plain 00:41:05.99\00:41:10.87 and very important. 00:41:10.90\00:41:13.27 Ezekiel 20:12. 00:41:13.30\00:41:18.54 God says, "Moreover I gave, I also gave them My Sabbaths, 00:41:18.57\00:41:25.51 to be a sign, to be a sign between them and Me, 00:41:25.55\00:41:30.29 that they may know that 00:41:30.32\00:41:31.72 I am the Lord who sanctifies them." 00:41:31.75\00:41:38.16 So, friends, the Sabbath is God sign. 00:41:38.19\00:41:43.16 It's His memorial. 00:41:43.20\00:41:46.74 We build memorials to remember, isn't that right? 00:41:46.77\00:41:51.37 You can look at every town in Australia and New Zealand 00:41:51.41\00:41:54.38 and I guarantee you, 00:41:54.41\00:41:55.74 every one of them will have a memorial, 00:41:55.78\00:41:57.81 isn't that right? 00:41:57.85\00:41:59.31 There is an Anzac memorial in every town in our country. 00:41:59.35\00:42:02.68 Why? 00:42:02.72\00:42:04.05 Because we want to remember 00:42:04.09\00:42:05.42 those memorials are designed specifically 00:42:05.45\00:42:08.09 so that we will not forget, so that we will remember. 00:42:08.12\00:42:12.59 Now, friends, God 00:42:16.43\00:42:21.87 could have built His memorial. 00:42:21.90\00:42:26.07 He could have built it on the Mount of Olives 00:42:26.11\00:42:28.64 in Jerusalem. 00:42:28.68\00:42:30.41 He could have built it out of crystal. 00:42:30.45\00:42:34.18 He could have built His memorial 00:42:34.22\00:42:36.08 on the slopes of Mount Everest. 00:42:36.12\00:42:38.19 He could have built of a pure gold. 00:42:38.22\00:42:41.09 Memorial of His creation, but, my friends, 00:42:41.12\00:42:45.53 God did not build His memorial out of crystal, gold or silver. 00:42:45.56\00:42:52.00 God built His memorial out of time. 00:42:52.03\00:42:56.37 Time. 00:42:56.40\00:42:58.21 And He did it for two reasons. 00:42:58.24\00:42:59.97 For two reasons. 00:43:03.68\00:43:07.15 One, so that we could all access it. 00:43:07.18\00:43:10.82 We all live in time. 00:43:13.25\00:43:15.02 And secondly, friends, 00:43:19.36\00:43:21.96 God built His memorial in time, 00:43:22.00\00:43:26.47 because it takes time to build relationships. 00:43:28.80\00:43:34.68 You think of the most important relationships in your life. 00:43:34.71\00:43:37.98 The most important relationships are those 00:43:41.48\00:43:43.89 that we invest time in. 00:43:43.92\00:43:46.69 Is that not right? 00:43:46.72\00:43:48.16 You can't have a close friend or a close relationship 00:43:48.19\00:43:50.89 without investing time in that person, 00:43:50.93\00:43:53.23 in that relationship, and God knew that. 00:43:53.26\00:43:57.50 And so He built His memorial out of time. 00:43:57.53\00:44:04.11 Why? 00:44:04.14\00:44:06.68 Because God wants to know us 00:44:06.71\00:44:11.78 and He wants us to know Him. 00:44:11.81\00:44:17.12 And so He's given us the Sabbath as a special time. 00:44:17.15\00:44:21.69 Oh, yes, we should be in touch with God every day. 00:44:21.72\00:44:28.06 But He invites us to set aside the seventh day of every week, 00:44:28.10\00:44:33.27 so that we remember 00:44:36.94\00:44:41.24 how we got here, 00:44:41.28\00:44:44.35 why we are here 00:44:44.38\00:44:47.62 and where we're going? 00:44:47.65\00:44:51.52 And, friends, the Sabbath reminds us of all those things. 00:44:51.55\00:44:55.12 It answers all those questions. 00:44:55.16\00:44:57.89 It answers them all. 00:44:57.93\00:44:59.29 The Sabbath reminds us that God is our Creator. 00:45:02.33\00:45:07.67 We're not here because of an accident 00:45:07.70\00:45:09.44 because of chance. 00:45:09.47\00:45:11.71 We are here 00:45:11.74\00:45:13.07 because the Almighty God created us in His image. 00:45:13.11\00:45:17.58 The Sabbath reminds us 00:45:17.61\00:45:20.68 how we got here, where we come from. 00:45:20.72\00:45:24.29 It reminds us of the power of God, 00:45:28.59\00:45:31.89 the great Creator who hung the stars in space. 00:45:31.93\00:45:35.53 The great Creator who set the planets in motion. 00:45:35.56\00:45:38.73 The great Creator, 00:45:38.77\00:45:40.10 who made the heavens and the earth. 00:45:40.14\00:45:43.17 He is our God. 00:45:43.20\00:45:44.94 After creating for six days, 00:45:48.21\00:45:52.15 He rested when He had completed His work of creation. 00:45:52.18\00:45:56.85 He rested on the Sabbath, the seventh day. 00:45:56.89\00:45:59.92 The Sabbath is the reminder of that power. 00:46:03.99\00:46:07.53 And, friends, the Sabbath 00:46:07.56\00:46:11.27 is a reminder of God's love. 00:46:11.30\00:46:15.37 Because when the Son of God came to this planet, 00:46:18.94\00:46:25.01 and He completed His work of redemption, 00:46:25.05\00:46:29.35 the work of redemption on the cross, 00:46:29.38\00:46:32.75 when He finished that phase of His work, 00:46:32.79\00:46:38.19 He rested on the Sabbath. 00:46:38.23\00:46:43.06 He rested on the Sabbath. 00:46:43.10\00:46:46.43 And so not only does the Sabbath remind us 00:46:46.47\00:46:49.34 of God's power, 00:46:49.37\00:46:52.24 it also reminds us of His love. 00:46:52.27\00:46:56.54 How God Himself 00:46:56.58\00:46:59.91 came and died on Calvary's cross, 00:46:59.95\00:47:05.45 because He wants to spend eternity with you and me. 00:47:05.49\00:47:11.86 You see, friends, 00:47:11.89\00:47:15.86 when Jesus died on the cross, 00:47:15.90\00:47:21.04 God didn't give the best 00:47:21.07\00:47:25.07 that heaven had to offer. 00:47:25.11\00:47:28.24 He gave everything heaven had to offer. 00:47:28.28\00:47:31.71 He gave heaven itself 00:47:31.75\00:47:34.18 because heaven wasn't heaven when Jesus wasn't there, 00:47:34.22\00:47:39.19 and God was prepared to sacrifice everything 00:47:39.22\00:47:44.76 so that HE could spend eternity with you and me. 00:47:44.79\00:47:50.07 And so, friends, the Sabbath 00:47:50.10\00:47:53.23 reminds us of God's power. 00:47:53.27\00:47:56.67 And it also reminds us of God's love. 00:47:56.71\00:48:02.61 The fact that He was prepared to give His only begotten Son, 00:48:02.64\00:48:07.78 that whoever believes in Him should not perish 00:48:07.82\00:48:11.99 but have everlasting life. 00:48:12.02\00:48:16.36 And, my friend, 00:48:16.39\00:48:19.66 God has built a mansion for you 00:48:19.69\00:48:25.17 in His Kingdom. 00:48:25.20\00:48:28.10 It's got your name on it. 00:48:28.14\00:48:29.47 It's the exact color you would choose. 00:48:33.07\00:48:36.75 The color scheme is perfect. 00:48:36.78\00:48:39.31 He knows your likes and your dislikes. 00:48:39.35\00:48:43.45 Because you see, He knows all about you. 00:48:43.49\00:48:47.82 You are everything to God. 00:48:47.86\00:48:49.66 If you were the only sinner on planet earth, 00:48:53.96\00:48:56.80 if everyone around you was perfect, 00:49:01.37\00:49:03.30 Jesus still would have come 00:49:06.47\00:49:09.74 and died on Calvary's cross just for you 00:49:09.78\00:49:16.35 because He wants to spend eternity with you. 00:49:16.38\00:49:21.06 He wants to get to know you, 00:49:21.09\00:49:25.36 not just in heaven but now. 00:49:25.39\00:49:31.03 God wants to know us. 00:49:31.07\00:49:37.97 And, friends, how important that is to know God. 00:49:38.01\00:49:42.14 It's one of the reasons He's given us the Sabbath 00:49:45.21\00:49:49.28 that we will come to know Him 00:49:49.32\00:49:51.92 that we will start preparing for eternity 00:49:51.95\00:49:55.66 because, friends, when we do get to heaven, 00:49:55.69\00:49:59.19 we're going to worship on the Sabbath. 00:49:59.23\00:50:02.33 Sabbath worship will continue... 00:50:02.36\00:50:06.10 Pardon me. 00:50:06.13\00:50:07.47 You know, friends, it's quite interesting 00:50:07.50\00:50:09.57 when you consider this aspect of time. 00:50:09.60\00:50:14.71 We are people in the Western world 00:50:14.74\00:50:17.21 who are driven by time, isn't that right? 00:50:17.25\00:50:19.81 I mean, I've even got a clock up the back, 00:50:19.85\00:50:21.55 they ticking down every second, 00:50:21.58\00:50:23.99 telling me how much time I've got left 00:50:24.02\00:50:27.02 because time is important to us. 00:50:27.06\00:50:29.82 We've got to get these time programs, 00:50:29.86\00:50:31.86 these programs timed right. 00:50:31.89\00:50:34.03 And as a television evangelist and presenter, 00:50:34.06\00:50:36.87 I know that better than anyone. 00:50:36.90\00:50:39.80 Time is important 00:50:39.83\00:50:42.07 and so we have all these time measurements, don't we?
