We humans have
difficulty even defining it.

And as I tried to
think of an illustration,

I could think of only
one and perfect example.

Perhaps the closest condition
of the natural human heart

which captures a
portion of God's nature of love

is the free flowing feelings

of a devoted
parent to their child.

Such parents love their children

behavior is good or bad.

inclined to make sacrifices

understand that the very essence

And to resist His infinite love

Above all else,
God wants to reveal

His true character
to His created beings

so that we may know Him

Testament prophet Isaiah

For the Lord is
a God of justice.

the almighty stands ready

This, my friend,
is the good news.

It is the gospel of God's grace.

Grace, there's no
other New Testament word

by man's feeble
attempts to define it.

Far too many Christians live
with an understanding of grace

leaving the immeasurable riches

Some suffering consciences

have yet to be
soothed by its great promise.

Let me ask you, has yours?

And in other
cases, there are people

who have twisted
the meaning of grace

to their own destruction,

turning God's
grace into an excuse

for the absence of restraint.

This reminds me of the time
Jesus confronted the Sadducees

who rejected the
truth of resurrection.
00:07:51.03\00:07:53.74
He refuted their argument
by saying in Matthew 22:29,

"You are in error
because you do not know
00:07:58.41\00:08:01.51
the scriptures or
the power of God."
00:08:01.51\00:08:04.45
You know what?

I would also extend this
same rebuttal to believers today

who abuse His truth of grace.

Well, it is accurate to
say God's abundant grace

grants us liberty
from pharisaical legalism.
00:08:17.33\00:08:21.03
It is the devil's
distortion of truth

to suggest grace
grants us license to sin

or that anyone
who mentions obedience

is legalistic and
unlearned in grace.

Sin turns our
hearts away from God.

Grace draws us

that Christians walk

in a lesser degree of
power than is available to us

systematic and practical truths.

in a study on the sanctuary

learn that the tabernacle

the sanctuary of grace.

His method of salvation
