Now, you have some reasons

is a city called Jerusalem.

The fact that there's

being in the Holy Land.

to be baptized in the Jordan.

And so we were baptizing
some people in the Jordan River.

gotten out of the water

when this huge bus drove up.

And out of the bus

Come walking out of
the bus, and this man

who was the guide

to where we were.
And he said: "Help me. "

busload of soldiers here. "

And he said: "I've had

he was a Muslim, by the way -

and he said: "But you
know you can't give somebody

a tour through Israel and
not talk to them about Jesus. "

"Because, " he said,
"Jesus is everywhere. "

And he said: "So
we've just gone these places

and I've showed
them about Jesus. "

And he said: "I have 24 on
this bus that accepted Christ

and want to be baptized. "

See? So, what I'm saying
is there is just evidence

there enough to
believe in Jesus Christ.

It's there, folks. You
just... you can't pass it up

as the beginning of
Christianity took place.

Now many of you, over

have heard of a historian
by the name of Josephus.

Josephus had this to say:

When he says about this time
he means Pilate... Pilate's time

And we're talking

So history itself shows

that Jesus was
what He said He was.

And so you and I have
reason to believe because

share a few with you.

exactly where He was to be born.

was to be born of a virgin.

Isaiah 53 talks about
rejected by His own people.

Betrayed by a friend in Psalms.

Betrayed for 30
pieces of silver.

The cruel treatment
that He would receive.

Pierced His hands and His feet.

Gambled for His clothing.

No broken bones, the date of
His death, the resurrection...

all that was
foretold in the Word of God.

So, when you pick up the book
and you begin to look through it

folks, there is an
overwhelming amount of evidence

that Jesus Christ was
indeed the Son of God.

when you look at it

conviction other than He
was everything that He claimed.

The prophecies that Jesus made -

I mean, it'd be one thing
for Him to make prophecies,

them not be fulfilled...

but they all took place.

This is what it says about it:

Jesus is talking
about the city of Jerusalem.

He's talking about
what's going to happen to them.

Now, to stand there and
make that prophecy, folks,

what that meant when He said

left up... on top of another. "

You're looking at the temple
that Herod has refurbished.

That's what you're looking at.

Herod is without doubt
one of the greatest builders

that we've ever known.

And there were stones -
granite stones - in that temple

that were 4' thick, 4' high,

and 20' long

laying on top of one
another. So perfectly laid

you couldn't stick a
knife blade between them.

And for Jesus to say
"There's not going to be one

stone left on top of another, "

that... that
sounded like blasphemy.

And yet when those Roman
soldiers surrounded that city

and finally in desperation

they came in and
started taking the city

threw a firebrand, and it went
through a window of the temple.

And the temple was on fire.

They couldn't put it out.

Now folks, this is a temple

that's basically
made out of stone.
