bridge traffic came to a stop,

plume of smoke rising from some

southern tip of Manhattan.

I didn't quite know
what I was looking at,

but it occurred to me
that a very large fire

was taking place.

My view was
partially obstructed by a truck

and after sitting on the
bridge for some 40 minutes,

I turned off the

radio on only to learn

Trade Center had been hit.

can recall what they were doing

on that particular day.

But there is another
day that has almost slipped

into obscurity. That
date is February 26, 1993.

1993, was the day that the first

attack was made on
the World Trade Center.

A truck filled with about
1,500 pounds of explosives

was detonated
just after 12:00 pm.

They wanted maximum destruction
and maximum loss of life.

They succeeded in neither.

Six people lost their lives,

It soaked the earth and it gave
the moisture that was needed

for the seed to
germinate and come up

and the moisture that was
needed for the plants to grow.

This was very, very necessary

for the crop to
start and get a good start.

And this was
referred to as the early rain.

Then through the summer

you would have
showers and so forth

and, of course, the
plants would develop.

But it was in the fall
that again they looked for

a general rain that would
come that would soak the earth

and this would help those
plants to go ahead and finish.

prepare for a harvest.

And that was referred
to as the latter rain.

So this is what they're talking

rain - and the latter rain.

You see, that latter rain
is what brought the plants

to fruition and they harvested
and had a plentiful harvest.

That was the latter rain.

The scripture
picks that up, folks,

spiritual application to it.

And it talks about the
Early Rain and the Latter Rain.

spiritually it's talking
about the Day of Pentecost.

That's what happened on
the Day of Pentecost when

poured out in great measure

Spirit will be poured out.
