that He's going to send

That it was to be there to
help us and to guide and direct

see, each one of us

are in need of two things
that we cannot do for ourselves.

Two things that we just
cannot do for ourselves.

And one of those things
that we can't do for ourselves

is forgiveness.

You see Christ did that for us.

One of the things that it tells
us that the Holy Spirit does

It simply says:

So it speaks very clearly
here about the Holy Spirit

saying something, talking
to them... that He speaks.

Also it tells us
not only does He speak

but that He intercedes.

That's what it says
in Romans 8 verse 26.

Folks, a force... a
power... it can't intercede.

That's impossible.

When it speaks of it interceding

And so He spoke,
again... directed. He led

in what needed to be done.

It also says concerning the
Holy Spirit that He commands.

The Holy Spirit told

He appointed them, put
them in their position,

So when you take a look
at the list where it says

He speaks, He testifies,

that the Holy Spirit does,

not by some external
force. It's very clear.

The Holy Spirit, it
says, can be lied to.

He can be blasphemed.

He can be insulted.

All those are things that
can be done to the Holy Spirit

because He is a being.

In fact, the
scripture says clearly, folks,

that the Holy Spirit is God.

In fact, it tells

has attributes
that only God has.

No one else.

And because it has those...
He has those attributes,

HE IS GOD.

It speaks of the Holy
Spirit as the eternal Spirit.

That belongs only to God -

That's an
attribute that only God has.

they didn't hate the Gentiles.

They considered them nothing.

They wouldn't have

One exception is

when Paul is up in

Now these people were followers,

and he had asked
them the question

"Did you receive the Holy
Spirit since you believed? "

OK? Asked them that.

And as he talked to
them, he found out that these

were people that John
the Baptist had talked to.

Now these disciples in Ephesus

are kind of people that are
out of time and out of place

because they were
taught by John the Baptist.

They don't know anything
particularly about Jesus Christ.

And so here Paul has
explained to them about Jesus

Because they knew very
little about Jesus Christ

and so Paul
explained about Christ to them.

They accepted Him as their
Savior, and they were baptized.

Now the reason for
that is like I said:

because they were out
of time and out of place.

They weren't there, and so
it had to have some authority...

so the Holy Spirit
was poured out upon them.

That is an exception, folks.

real questions about Paul.

And so on the road to Damascus

when Paul gave his heart to the

they didn't know
what to do with it here.

And so God intervened.

The reason for that, folks,

be some marked evidence

Those are the two
exceptions that are given.

scripture simply teaches.
