Let's visit two of the schools
in the country of Ukraine

Lviv is a city
in Western Ukraine

that once was a
major population center

for business and culture.

Now Lviv is full of
history, long standing buildings

and sites that journey your mind

many hundreds of years back.

Lviv is also known for its
many institutions of education,

but until recently it
never had an Adventist school.

It all started with
the family of Alexander,

who now is the principal
of Lviv Adventists School.
00:07:39.49\00:07:42.53
He and his wife
would home school
00:07:42.56\00:07:43.94
his two children and a friend.
00:07:43.97\00:07:46.08
This was a nice
little classroom at home,
00:07:46.11\00:07:48.50
but the children grew lonely
00:07:48.53\00:07:50.11
and wished for
a Christian school
00:07:50.14\00:07:51.62
and friends to play with.
00:07:51.65\00:07:53.22
They soon decided to pray
and ask their Heavenly Father.

They prayed that God
would provide them a school

and many children to attend.

Little did they know,
that this was no small request.

Coincidently the same
prayer was also in the heart

of local
conference administrators

and at the right time
Alexander was asked to start

an Adventist
School in this region.

The leaders quickly realized

that they needed a
building for the school.

So Alexander began
to rally church members

to pray for God's provision.

Then conference administrators

decided to move out of
their conference building

and donate it to become

Lviv's first
Seventh-day Adventist School.

Everything happened so quickly,

the children in the
community were invited to attend

and at the turn of the year,

learn their subjects

with a wholesome approach,

to grow as fruitful people.

the children here have a chance

for secondary classes.

that this school
began with prayer

that the Lord will pave the way

kindergarten and primary school

interest was overwhelming

staff had no choice

but to purchase a new location.

An unfinished
building sat on the property

and it was initially
designed to be a school,

so much to be done,

their pastors for help.

Dasha's parents
aren't Christians,

hardship in public schools.
