00:01 The Euro-Asia region covers the greatest territory
00:03 and embraces a total of 11 time zones. 00:07 Here you can visit 13 countries some of them 00:09 are Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, 00:12 Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. 00:15 By population Euro-Asia is the second smallest 00:18 of the denominations 13 world regions. 00:21 In a population of approximately 280 million 00:23 there are only about 170,000 church members 00:27 with more than 45% living in the country of Ukraine. 00:32 The majority of Ukraine's population lives in urban areas. 00:35 Presently 70% of the population lives in cities. 00:39 Despite of busy lifestyle many in the metropolitan crowd 00:43 still have a desire for something 00:44 that will truly fulfill them. 00:46 For this reason the Adventist church 00:48 is emphasizing the method that Jesus used. 00:52 It's essential to connect one on one with people 00:55 to befriend them and win their trust. 00:58 Anna Gavelo spent six months 00:59 exploring tangible approaches in New York City. 01:03 Now she is training local volunteer 01:05 missionaries in her region. 01:07 I have a really great team here. 01:10 They came from allover all the division 01:13 and they are ready to work here 01:15 and they are ready to go back and to preach the gospel. 01:18 We took from New York the best ideas and things that we saw 01:24 and try to apply over here plus own ideas, own projects 01:30 and now we see how it work and it work excellent. 01:35 Jesus met the people where they were 01:37 and provided for their needs. 01:39 Therefore centers of influence 01:41 are established here to meet needs. 01:44 A good example is the Adventist Christian Medical Center located 01:47 just a few miles from the center of Kiev. 01:50 Center volunteers encounter the community in the street, 01:54 they invite them to learn healthy cooking, 01:56 how to stop smoking, manage stress 01:58 and offer a variety of other classes. 02:01 Today, they are preparing a meal to show their new friends 02:04 the flavorful taste of healthy living. 02:06 This center of influence is mainly developing as a hospital. 02:10 There will be many rooms for patients, doctors 02:12 and a variety of treatments. 02:14 First success that we see now 02:17 this is a really good relationship with our neighbors. 02:22 You see that a lot of big buildings 02:25 with a lot of people who live -- who lives here. 02:29 In seven minutes of working more than 15,000 people live in here 02:35 and most-- more than 60% of our neighbors, 02:41 this people now already coming to our house promotion programs 02:46 for consultations including addictions, 02:49 including problems with losing weight, 02:51 including this depression and et cetera. 02:55 The community around this center understands 02:57 the genuine interest in improving their lives 03:00 and they come to learn about life and hope. 03:03 As the faithful members seek for ways 03:05 to connect and touch lives 03:07 the Lord opens doors in this region. 03:10 Recently the Ukrainian government 03:11 granted a Hope Channel 03:12 the first Protestant TV license in the country. 03:16 We can see a great development. 03:19 Actually have this five major cities 03:22 of Ukraine with channel with cable, 03:26 great companies and more than 40 cities 03:29 received the signal through cable. 03:32 But of course through satellite 03:33 everybody can watch it Hope Channel. 03:37 Hope Channel Ukraine now broadcasts 03:39 on some 600 cable channel 03:41 reaching 60% of the country's population. 03:44 The people of Russia can also watch the TV channel. 03:47 There are many programs offered in the Russian language. 03:51 We live in a rapidly developing world. 03:54 People make progress in all fields of human activities. 03:57 Our city changes, our life changes, 04:00 but our faithfulness and commitment 04:02 to mission should never be forgotten. 04:04 I'm here because I know that God's wants me to be here 04:07 and I love Him and He loves me 04:09 and I know that He loves so many people here 04:12 but they don't know Him. 04:14 So I want them to be happy too 04:16 and I want all of us to be together with Him 04:19 as fast as possible. 04:21 Please pray for the faithful members in the Euro-Asia region. 04:25 Pray that the Lord will give them the tools 04:27 that will help them overcome their challenges. 04:30 We need Adventist consecrated specialists, 04:35 people who loves their Lord. 04:38 As Christ said, a lot of harvest but small reapers. 04:42 And this is our great hint. 04:45 And I'm asking world church to pray about this. 04:49 We have many faithful church members 04:51 in the Euro-Asia region, 170,000. 04:55 We have more than 1,300 pastors 04:57 and we have about 50 missionaries 05:00 coming from other countries and serving in these divisions 05:04 because the Lord will multiply those efforts, 05:06 those prayers and those financial resources 05:11 to reach the people with the gospel of hope. 05:14 And only heaven you will see the wonderful result 05:17 what people save by your commitment. 05:25 Well, I hope you've enjoyed 05:26 our snapshots of mission around the world. 05:29 From the vast territories of Russia to cities in
