will be meeting
throughout the entire country.

We have fewer than
80 baptized Adventist.

Around the world our
statistics are one Adventist

for every 424 people.

Here in Turkey its one

What a tremendous challenge.

But its not just here,

large population spread out

in territories to North
Africa and throughout Asia.

Here in Tibet,
there is a rich history

of culture and religion.

People here are very
committed, very spiritual

but you know its 20 years
since Global Mission began

and the
Seventh-day Adventist church

is not part of
the history of Tibet

there is not one Seventh-day
Adventist believer here.

As I walk the streets I
see quite a bit of poverty.

I have little children
coming up to me begging
00:03:11.61\00:03:13.52
and as I look into
their eyes I ask the question
00:03:13.55\00:03:16.76
what is the future for them?
00:03:16.79\00:03:18.56
Now I to know that God is
working through all cultures,

through all people's
working on hearts and minds

to bring them to Himself

but He has called us

to share His love
and as I look at Tibet--

I look the huge
populations all through Asia

the teaming
mega cities of people

most of them have never
even heard the name of Jesus.

And just think what
a tremendous difference

it would make in their lives

to know that there
is a God who loves them,

who cares for them
and they need have no fear

of the spirit world.

God has a plan and He
has invited each of us

to be part of that if

You know, I think of other
territories around the world.

I think of regions that
are very different to hear

places where Christianity
was very strong at one stage

but today it is dying.

The city of Geneva
was one of the most

critical cradles of
protestant reformation.

It's hard to
believe that this city today

has become one of the most

secularized
cities in all of Europe.

Behind me is the reformation
wall that commemorates

so many of the
leaders of the reformation

that gave their lives, that
gave their all for the gospel

and the moral above
them it says in Latin

"after darkness light"

that's what they were fighting,

that's what they
were living their lives

for the light of Jesus Christ.

And you have to wonder,

what those
reformers would think today

after darkness light.

As we see that Christianity,

through out Europe
is starting to fade

and that light for
those reformers fought for

what is going to be the future?

Behind me here in Istanbul,
Turkey is the Bosphorus Bridge,

bridging the two
contents of Europe and Asia.

Europe of course with its
declining Christian population

and Asia with its
booming population

60 percent of the
world's population

but the vast majority
of these people groups

have never even heard
the name of Jesus Christ.

So it's great that we celebrate

the progress of the
church around the world

But, let's never ever
loose side of the need

help the church in Africa?

Well, we have
actually interacted

with all the three
major divisions there

and we worked quite
extensively in two of them.

We started primarily

Africa-Indian Ocean Division

at the request of Paul

He came to me one day and

in the area of India
asked you for 10,000 churches,

he says that's really nothing.

I said really? It
seem like a lot to me

actually seriously

we need 50,000
projects in our division

and this is
take a look at Zambia

with 700 plus thousand

Malawi and you name it

let's see viability
of being able to do this.

And so we met with
all the leadership people

and I said, okay,

we can't do everything all
at once that's not possible.

Now, that was tough
because it's been a country

with civil war for many years.

Yeah, they were in
war for like 30 years

so their education system
had been pretty much default

even the church leadership
weren't that educated,

the union leaders with grade
school level education so--

so we went in there,

we started building
churches and schools

and it's been a blessing.

A tough blessing. Yeah.

It's also been a place

where we were
privileged to drill wells

at all the
churches and the schools

that we built which is--

we wanted to have a place

where people would come
for two kinds of water--

the water for life

and so that's--
that's been a great blessing.

And now they tell me
that after about 800 churches

and six or eight large schools

that Mozambique
not the bottom anymore

its up in the
centre in terms of,

you know, tithe
and offering membership

is growing by its thousands

so its need to
see that this project

that came to us as a
request from that division

is started to bare fruit

I mean, there is

the world doesn't need

The schools, some
of the bigger schools

that we built in Mozambique

have been name the best
schools in those countries.

But, you know,
then we went to Malawi

Oh, one of the great challenges
that's for us right now

their people are illiterate.

So we have set a
country director in there,

we are taking a
look at education

to campuses to replace--

there are over 200 campuses

the Seventh-day Adventist Church

used to have in Angola
those are all destroyed,

well they sold the land.

They need to
replace those campuses

with new buildings.

So we are taking a look at that

and it's a huge challenge
its tens of millions of dollars.

there is a window
here of time in Angola

so we are trying

who is doing prison outreach.

We tend to think of prisons

you think of big
gigantic buildings with,

you know, couple
of thousand inmates

and its very sterile
environment almost and stuff.

But something said
try to get the story

so I contacted--

I was going to Moldova
any way to share some stories.

Moldova is a small country
that used to be a part of Russia

but culturally it's
much similar to Romania.

In fact, it used
to be part of Romania

and it was fought over between--
00:15:39.18\00:15:41.61
between the
Romanian's and Russian's.

And this Pastor
is doing his outreach

and so I wrote an
email said can we go?

I want to go get this story

and they replied
back and said we can try

you probably
won't be able to get in,
