Hello and welcome to From Sickness To Health. 00:00:01.96\00:00:04.10 I'm your host Rico Hill. 00:00:04.30\00:00:05.63 I'd like to begin today's by quoting the Psalmist David. 00:00:05.70\00:00:09.54 In Psalm 100 verse 3 it says: 00:00:09.74\00:00:12.57 "Know ye that the Lord He is God. 00:00:12.77\00:00:15.08 It is He that has made us and not we ourselves. 00:00:15.28\00:00:18.38 We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. " 00:00:18.58\00:00:22.08 You know what's so powerfully encouraging about this text? 00:00:22.38\00:00:25.02 That if God made us He knows everything about us. 00:00:25.42\00:00:28.82 What is best for our health. The best time to go to bed. 00:00:29.12\00:00:32.23 The best time to even wake up. 00:00:32.63\00:00:34.10 Even what is best to drink and eat. 00:00:34.30\00:00:36.90 That is so encouraging! 00:00:37.10\00:00:38.90 Yeah, I guess. Oh, that doesn't encourage you? 00:00:39.10\00:00:41.30 You didn't hear what I just said. 00:00:41.60\00:00:42.94 Let me recite the thing again. 00:00:42.97\00:00:44.31 No, look, I'm not up for debate, especially not right now. 00:00:44.34\00:00:46.94 I am hungry! When I get hungry I get grumpy. 00:00:47.14\00:00:51.15 I think I'm going to get some fast food. 00:00:51.35\00:00:53.52 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Fast food? 00:00:53.72\00:00:55.65 Yeah. You know a quick burger; some chicken; fries with no 00:00:55.85\00:00:58.42 ties. Food fast... fast food. Ever heard of it? 00:00:58.62\00:01:00.82 OK, you definitely didn't hear anything I just said. 00:01:01.02\00:01:03.19 "Know ye that the Lord HE IS GOD. 00:01:03.59\00:01:07.40 It is He that has made us and not we ourselves. " 00:01:07.60\00:01:10.90 Look... look at it this way: 00:01:11.20\00:01:12.53 if you had a Porsche or a Mercedes Benz, OK? 00:01:12.83\00:01:15.60 would you put diesel fuel in it 00:01:16.30\00:01:18.41 when it called for unleaded only? Absolutely not! 00:01:18.61\00:01:22.91 What about kerosene only? 00:01:23.11\00:01:24.45 No... we're talking about a Porsche. I would not put 00:01:24.48\00:01:27.42 diesel or kerosene in my blue Porsche. 00:01:27.62\00:01:30.55 Then why wouldn't you put the best in your body? 00:01:30.75\00:01:33.22 That's a silly analogy. 00:01:33.42\00:01:35.12 Is it? Yes! 00:01:35.42\00:01:37.03 Look, why would you take better care of your car 00:01:37.43\00:01:42.03 than your own body? Why? Isn't it obvious? 00:01:42.23\00:01:45.13 Because it tastes good. It tastes good, huh? 00:01:45.33\00:01:48.14 Look, today's program is fast food. 00:01:48.54\00:01:52.34 Delicious fast food. 00:01:52.54\00:01:55.24 Roll the program. 00:01:55.64\00:01:57.45 Would you take better care of your car than your body? 00:02:31.55\00:02:35.75 I hope not. Thank you for joining us here in the studio 00:02:36.15\00:02:39.65 of From Sickness To Health. 00:02:39.85\00:02:41.19 I can't even tell you. We're going to talk about 00:02:41.39\00:02:43.32 something today that is really really helpful, exciting, 00:02:43.53\00:02:46.80 and I think you're going to enjoy it. 00:02:47.00\00:02:48.36 I'm going to introduce my guests in just a few moments. 00:02:48.66\00:02:51.10 We have a robust discussion planned for today 00:02:51.30\00:02:55.10 so I know you're going to enjoy. So sit back 00:02:55.30\00:02:57.27 and get ready, but first let's say hello to our co-host, 00:02:57.47\00:03:00.68 Sickness, who is at a remote location. 00:03:00.98\00:03:03.81 Where in the world are you? 00:03:04.01\00:03:06.38 Rico, today I'm at a place where people's lives are celebrated. 00:03:06.78\00:03:12.12 These people were courageous 00:03:12.52\00:03:14.59 and they didn't want to give up fast food... 00:03:14.79\00:03:16.99 so I'm celebrating their lives today. 00:03:17.19\00:03:19.59 Well, I know you have more to say about that. 00:03:19.79\00:03:22.20 We'll talk to you some more at your next location... 00:03:22.60\00:03:25.13 but that's interesting. If I'm not wrong, 00:03:25.33\00:03:29.60 that was a cemetery. Now, we have joining us today 00:03:29.80\00:03:33.38 some familiar friends and some new friends. 00:03:33.58\00:03:35.61 We've got with us Dr. Thomas Jackson 00:03:35.81\00:03:37.81 who is a doctor of science... natural health sciences... 00:03:38.01\00:03:42.05 and is the head of a ministry called Meet Ministry 00:03:42.25\00:03:44.62 where they teach gospel medical missionary work 00:03:44.82\00:03:48.22 and training. And we welcome him to the program. 00:03:48.42\00:03:50.63 Thank you Rico. We appreciate you being here. 00:03:50.83\00:03:52.99 And again as you always say "your bride by your side. " 00:03:53.19\00:03:57.33 Dr. Laverne Jackson, who is a doctor of nutritional sciences. 00:03:57.53\00:04:01.70 We welcome you to the program as well. Thank you. 00:04:01.90\00:04:04.24 And you know what? Today is couples day. 00:04:04.54\00:04:07.28 We've got two couples on the program. 00:04:08.51\00:04:10.68 Also joining us is Reidland Bredy, who is a physical 00:04:10.98\00:04:15.42 therapist. And he's joined by his wife Sherry-Lynne Bredy, who 00:04:15.62\00:04:18.59 is an occupational therapist. Welcome to both of you! 00:04:18.79\00:04:21.12 Thank you. So we're talking about fast food today. 00:04:21.32\00:04:23.86 And I know you all have a lot to say. 00:04:24.26\00:04:26.46 And you see that we kind of started out at a cemetery. Yes. 00:04:26.86\00:04:30.77 Mercy! Is it appropriate? Oh my! 00:04:30.97\00:04:33.44 I think it speaks volumes... obviously. 00:04:33.64\00:04:36.10 Sickness definitely knows how to really impact. 00:04:36.50\00:04:40.44 You know, I think he sort of comes off and he's sort of 00:04:40.94\00:04:44.71 counter health, but he leads us down the path of truth 00:04:44.91\00:04:47.25 in some way, doesn't he? 00:04:47.45\00:04:48.78 Oh, he can't do nothing against the truth but for the truth. 00:04:48.92\00:04:51.05 All right. So let's see what he has for us as we 00:04:51.25\00:04:54.32 go into the discussion. Let's check out where he is. 00:04:54.52\00:04:56.83 Where are you now? 00:04:57.03\00:04:58.36 Hey Rico! Here I am in a kitchen of a fast food 00:05:02.03\00:05:05.17 restaurant. This is where happiness is made. 00:05:05.37\00:05:08.97 You know what they do here? They take some food and they 00:05:09.27\00:05:11.01 add sugar, salt, and fat... and fry it! 00:05:11.21\00:05:14.34 And every time you fry something it tastes good. 00:05:14.74\00:05:18.68 You can smell the goodness. 00:05:19.68\00:05:21.75 I love this place. 00:05:21.95\00:05:23.49 Mmm! They even have sodas in a fountain. 00:05:26.62\00:05:30.29 A fountain of soda! 00:05:30.59\00:05:32.73 It's amazing. You know what else? 00:05:33.13\00:05:34.76 When you leave this place you're full 00:05:35.16\00:05:38.10 but your body is starving for nutrition. 00:05:38.50\00:05:43.41 When your body is starving for nutrition 00:05:43.71\00:05:46.57 that leads to sickness. 00:05:46.88\00:05:49.81 Did I hear my name? I think I did 00:05:50.11\00:05:53.01 because every time you go to a place like this 00:05:53.21\00:05:55.28 you're going to hear about sickness. 00:05:55.48\00:05:57.79 Whoo! Sir... are you going to order? 00:05:59.65\00:06:03.99 Oh yes sir. I will take a heart attack 00:06:04.29\00:06:07.40 super sized, some high blood pressure, 00:06:07.60\00:06:10.57 and a side of diabetes. 00:06:10.77\00:06:13.77 Hey, you know what? Could I get the diet cola in 00:06:13.97\00:06:16.57 the bucket size? Hey, you know what? 00:06:16.77\00:06:18.91 I know my way around. Why don't I just get it myself? 00:06:19.11\00:06:21.51 Security! Security! 00:06:23.18\00:06:25.61 While that may be funny I think it leads to some dire, 00:06:28.18\00:06:31.49 dire consequences, doesn't it? Oh yes indeed. 00:06:31.69\00:06:34.29 So what is fast food? Oh man! Anybody... jump in. 00:06:34.49\00:06:37.43 Quick. Fast food: what is it? Quick. 00:06:37.63\00:06:38.96 Convenience food. You know, there is a history behind 00:06:39.23\00:06:42.66 fast food... even though it become more popularized 00:06:42.86\00:06:45.57 in the 1950's... but we go back centuries. 00:06:45.77\00:06:49.00 Even pre-modern Europeans, they had what they called 00:06:49.20\00:06:51.71 apartments. And then they had what they called... they dipped 00:06:51.91\00:06:54.74 bread in wine and they provided those people with quick meals. 00:06:54.94\00:06:59.15 So basically the idea of fast food is not 00:06:59.35\00:07:01.98 a 21st century concept. 00:07:02.18\00:07:04.15 It's been around since even the days of the Romans. 00:07:04.35\00:07:06.89 They would move into the United Kingdom 00:07:07.09\00:07:09.06 and now into the United States. 00:07:09.26\00:07:10.96 And so we find as a history there's nothing new under 00:07:11.16\00:07:13.86 the sun. Hmm... nothing new under the sun. 00:07:14.06\00:07:16.03 I could even say that we could go back to 00:07:16.23\00:07:18.47 what we see here in this bowl because this is really 00:07:18.67\00:07:22.47 fast food. That's right. I had one of these this morning. 00:07:22.67\00:07:25.34 It took me no time; it was convenient; it was quick! 00:07:25.54\00:07:28.88 Yes. And it was delicious! You want one? 00:07:29.08\00:07:30.78 High in nutrients. God has provided fast food! 00:07:30.98\00:07:33.82 And I think it's important to define what fast food is. 00:07:34.12\00:07:38.15 OK. Because of the culture that we live in now, 00:07:38.35\00:07:41.79 we think of anything that's quick and easy as fast. 00:07:41.99\00:07:44.59 And unfortunately, we are pro- grammed to think any fast food 00:07:44.79\00:07:48.43 from a burger joint or from, you know, anywhere else 00:07:48.63\00:07:50.83 that we can drive by, get our things, and then go on 00:07:51.03\00:07:53.57 and keep moving on is fast food. 00:07:53.77\00:07:56.20 Whereas if we would just... That's fast! This is fast. 00:07:56.50\00:07:59.91 I've got my meal right here 00:08:00.11\00:08:01.84 without... and Sickness was on point: this is the most 00:08:02.14\00:08:05.55 truthful that I've seen him on the program. 00:08:05.75\00:08:08.38 Ordered a side of heart attack and diabetes! 00:08:08.58\00:08:10.92 This doesn't come with that. 00:08:11.12\00:08:12.95 Wow! He did order... What was that? 00:08:13.15\00:08:16.22 A heart attack; a side of diabetes. 00:08:16.42\00:08:19.53 Now how much truth is in that? 00:08:19.73\00:08:22.63 Whoo! Wow! Now I know someone is watching this program 00:08:22.83\00:08:28.00 and they are saying: "But you don't understand. 00:08:28.20\00:08:30.47 I've got kids. I've got small ones 00:08:30.67\00:08:33.58 and they're hungry. I pick them up from school; 00:08:33.78\00:08:35.34 I've had a long day and I don't have time 00:08:35.54\00:08:38.01 to be preparing a meal for them. " Um-hmm. 00:08:38.21\00:08:41.38 "So I just need to run through that drive-through, 00:08:41.58\00:08:45.32 grab that food, and feed my kids. " 00:08:45.52\00:08:47.82 Um-hmm... now how do you answer that? 00:08:48.02\00:08:50.49 Well, as has been said the word "fast food" does not 00:08:50.69\00:08:54.76 necessarily denote something dangerous to me. 00:08:54.96\00:08:58.17 But when Sickness began to talk about what he was ordering 00:08:58.37\00:09:01.90 fast... but what consists of that fast food 00:09:02.10\00:09:06.61 is what makes it unhealthy. 00:09:06.81\00:09:08.74 And I think he mentioned salt - um-hmm - sugar, 00:09:08.94\00:09:12.81 fat... yeah, fats... high cholesterol things. 00:09:13.01\00:09:16.18 Where do we get cholesterol from? 00:09:16.38\00:09:17.89 Can we get cholesterol from an apple? No. 00:09:18.09\00:09:20.32 Can I get cholesterol from that carrot right there? No. 00:09:20.52\00:09:23.16 Where do we get the cholesterol from? Comes from what we call, 00:09:23.36\00:09:25.26 you know, non-plant foods such as animal foods. 00:09:25.46\00:09:28.60 Flesh foods: that's where you find the cholesterol. Right. 00:09:28.80\00:09:31.37 Carrots don't give you cholesterol. 00:09:31.57\00:09:33.44 By the way, helps the body to metabolize the cholesterol. 00:09:33.64\00:09:36.91 So these work with us and work for us. That's right. 00:09:37.11\00:09:40.81 And maybe the "fast food" is working against us. 00:09:41.11\00:09:45.68 That's correct. That's why he was in the cemetery. 00:09:46.08\00:09:48.18 He was in the cemetery because these kinds of food 00:09:49.38\00:09:55.12 lead to the major causes of diseases today. 00:09:55.32\00:09:58.53 And so people are dying because of heart conditions, 00:09:58.83\00:10:02.50 caused by high fat, high sodium. 00:10:02.70\00:10:05.23 You're looking at cancer... can be contributed to 00:10:05.43\00:10:08.84 the kinds of food choices we make also. 00:10:09.04\00:10:11.34 So death is 3/5 eat. You remove the D 00:10:11.54\00:10:16.51 and you remove the H and you are digging your grave 00:10:16.71\00:10:18.95 with your teeth. Whoa... whoa! Did you hear that? 00:10:19.15\00:10:22.55 Death is 3/5 eat. 00:10:24.05\00:10:26.86 Right in the middle of death is eat. 00:10:27.06\00:10:30.06 That's heavy. That's right. That's heavy. 00:10:30.36\00:10:32.49 So people are digging their graves with a fork and spoon. 00:10:32.69\00:10:36.67 Oftentimes in the fast food scenario with a plastic fork 00:10:36.87\00:10:42.24 and spoon. That's right. Is that right? 00:10:42.44\00:10:44.21 Now fast food is also considered junk food. 00:10:44.41\00:10:47.58 And we even use the term so quickly now 00:10:47.74\00:10:49.88 we don't realize that. It doesn't have a negative 00:10:50.08\00:10:52.81 connotation anymore. "Oh, I want some junk food. " 00:10:53.01\00:10:55.22 No. What we call good is now evil, and so that's why 00:10:55.42\00:10:59.25 it does not have a negative connotation now. Yes. 00:10:59.45\00:11:02.49 And the Bible says that the time would come when we would call 00:11:02.69\00:11:05.09 evil good and good evil. That's right... that's right. 00:11:05.29\00:11:06.93 So that could even be applied to our food choices. That's right. 00:11:07.13\00:11:10.50 God would consider them to be evil and we consider them to be 00:11:10.70\00:11:14.87 good. Point in case: God said: "Don't eat it 00:11:15.07\00:11:18.37 with the fat or the blood. " Um-hmm. Now we eat it 00:11:18.57\00:11:22.81 with the fat and the blood now. He didn't say you couldn't 00:11:23.01\00:11:25.65 eat it when He did give permission for us to eat 00:11:25.85\00:11:27.82 flesh foods. He said: "If you're going to have it, 00:11:28.02\00:11:30.32 have it without the fat and without the blood 00:11:30.62\00:11:33.46 because the life of the flesh is in the blood. " 00:11:33.66\00:11:36.49 Now I can tell you: I once work- ed at a fast-food restaurant. 00:11:36.69\00:11:41.06 Yes I did! I worked at a fast-food restaurant 00:11:41.26\00:11:44.07 when I was in high school. I won't tell you the name 00:11:44.27\00:11:46.74 but I remember - and I was eating that stuff at the time - 00:11:46.94\00:11:50.21 but I remember working that grill. Oh how I hated it! 00:11:50.41\00:11:54.41 But I was working that grill and I would watch as the blood 00:11:54.61\00:11:57.85 would come up out of that meat. Oh, mercy! 00:11:58.05\00:12:00.38 And you would flip it over to just sear that blood 00:12:00.58\00:12:05.59 into the meat itself. And then it would have sort of a 00:12:05.89\00:12:08.92 fatty sort of film over the top of it 00:12:09.12\00:12:12.19 or layer, and that's what God was talking about. 00:12:12.39\00:12:15.00 So what's the problem with that? 00:12:15.20\00:12:16.53 Someone is saying that right now. They're saying: 00:12:16.63\00:12:18.43 "It taste's good... " just like Sickness said. That's right. 00:12:18.63\00:12:20.70 It tastes good. So what's the problem with that? 00:12:20.90\00:12:22.24 We find that fat definitely gives flavor. 00:12:22.27\00:12:24.14 It gives flavor. The more blood the more flavor. 00:12:24.34\00:12:27.18 And notice you said that when you flipped it over 00:12:27.48\00:12:30.41 it had a nice coating on that. 00:12:30.61\00:12:32.51 Just imagine! Now within our body you know we have white 00:12:32.71\00:12:35.05 blood cells, red blood cells, and we have platelets 00:12:35.25\00:12:37.19 that coagulate. And so we find even that heat can create a 00:12:37.39\00:12:40.59 coagulation within that meat that creates a film. 00:12:40.79\00:12:44.23 And number one, that blood becomes so toxic 00:12:44.43\00:12:47.30 and we have - well, we'll be talking about probably 00:12:47.50\00:12:49.36 in the future - we have these little chemicals called 00:12:49.56\00:12:52.47 hydrocarbons, and that tends to reduce the oxygen within 00:12:52.67\00:12:57.81 the body. We call it, you know, oxidation of the cells. 00:12:58.01\00:13:02.18 And so we've changed the whole chemical make-up 00:13:02.38\00:13:04.55 of fat. And so fat doesn't carry any oxygen. 00:13:04.75\00:13:08.32 any nutrients. It decreases oxygen... 00:13:08.52\00:13:11.05 therefore it has to taste good. See, pleasure for a moment 00:13:11.25\00:13:13.79 definitely gives us what Sickness was: 00:13:13.99\00:13:16.49 a celebration in our graves. 00:13:16.69\00:13:18.99 Oh, but we don't want to have celebrations in our graves. 00:13:19.19\00:13:22.13 You know something? You know I found out that 1/3 00:13:22.33\00:13:26.63 of the United States children from the ages of 4 to 19 00:13:26.84\00:13:30.74 eat fast food. Um-hmm. Every year they add extra pounds 00:13:32.51\00:13:37.25 so that every year you're going to gain pounds. 00:13:37.45\00:13:38.78 So now we're dealing with an epidemic of childhood obesity - 00:13:38.95\00:13:41.82 that's correct - that predisposes us to diabetes... 00:13:42.02\00:13:45.32 which we are already in an epidemic of diabetes. 00:13:45.52\00:13:47.66 So the danger of fast food the way we eat today - 00:13:47.96\00:13:51.23 the way society is today - 00:13:51.43\00:13:52.76 is definitely creating a future of economics 00:13:52.79\00:13:56.63 for the health... for the disease industry. 00:13:56.83\00:14:00.24 There's a response from Sickness. I'm sure he's got 00:14:04.04\00:14:06.88 an excellent point. Yes. Yeah, the point I'd like to make 00:14:07.08\00:14:10.18 here is let's not demonize kids for being overweight. 00:14:10.38\00:14:13.42 Skinny kids are unhealthy. 00:14:13.72\00:14:15.32 Overweight kids are very healthy and fast food is easy. 00:14:15.52\00:14:20.16 So hey, let's not pretend that eating healthy is some easy 00:14:20.36\00:14:23.22 thing. People have lives to live 00:14:23.43\00:14:25.36 so don't make it difficult on them. 00:14:25.56\00:14:27.33 Yeah, I think... I know you have a point to make. 00:14:27.73\00:14:30.17 I think there's some more convincing. 00:14:30.37\00:14:32.33 Let's take a look at a video real quick 00:14:32.53\00:14:34.57 and let's see what it looks like and let's see what 00:14:34.77\00:14:37.11 conclusion this particular documentary had come to 00:14:37.31\00:14:40.98 as a result of people... well people... the result that 00:14:41.18\00:14:43.88 happened... Well let me put it this way: 00:14:44.08\00:14:46.01 what happened to people when they ate fast food. 00:14:46.21\00:14:48.18 Now for you all when you see this video 00:14:51.85\00:14:54.82 you're going to be like "ooh! " when you see the food. 00:14:55.02\00:14:56.79 But I know a lot of people out there, they're going to 00:14:56.99\00:14:58.59 look at it and they're going to think: 00:14:58.79\00:15:00.13 "Well, that looks good to me! " 00:15:00.16\00:15:01.93 But then, listen to what is happening to people 00:15:02.13\00:15:05.03 as a result of this. Let's take a look at the video. 00:15:05.23\00:15:06.90 So right after you eat these meals you have energy, 00:15:14.94\00:15:18.21 but the energy lasts a very short period of time 00:15:18.41\00:15:21.32 and you're hungry much sooner 00:15:21.52\00:15:23.79 and then you have to eat again and then you have to eat again 00:15:23.99\00:15:26.25 and then you have to eat again. It is a lot cheaper to go eat 00:15:26.45\00:15:29.46 fast food. I mean, definitely you can buy a hamburger 00:15:29.66\00:15:33.36 for cheaper than you can buy an apple. 00:15:33.56\00:15:35.00 That's very sad, because you're telling me I have to 00:15:35.20\00:15:36.80 pay more in order to eat healthier. And I can pay 00:15:37.00\00:15:39.20 less in order to get fat... and it makes me worried 00:15:39.40\00:15:41.30 over something I might die over. 00:15:41.50\00:15:43.07 It's unbelievable. The poor- est people in our country 00:15:43.37\00:15:46.07 are the fattest people. We've done something completely 00:15:46.27\00:15:49.04 wrong here. 00:15:49.24\00:15:50.58 The high-fat, deep-fried food culture here is delicious 00:15:53.58\00:15:56.45 but has deadly consequences. 00:15:56.75\00:15:58.49 Look at our diabetes and high blood pressure 00:15:58.69\00:16:01.59 and heart disease... like these are major killers. 00:16:01.79\00:16:05.39 Wendi O'Neal was born in New Orleans. 00:16:05.59\00:16:07.40 "After Katrina, " she says, "it's even more difficult 00:16:07.80\00:16:10.50 to access good food. " It's definitely harder 00:16:10.70\00:16:12.97 and harder to make food choices. I mean just by having 00:16:13.17\00:16:14.94 less time. I do a lot of fast food 00:16:15.14\00:16:17.87 and I actually hate fast food. 00:16:18.07\00:16:19.77 I don't like the way it tastes but I'll eat it because 00:16:19.97\00:16:22.28 it's cheap and I can get it on the run. " 00:16:22.48\00:16:24.15 So you're saying: "That looked pretty good... 00:16:24.35\00:16:25.68 what's the problem? " What are you saying? 00:16:25.71\00:16:27.42 You were about to say something. 00:16:27.82\00:16:29.35 Well yeah, notice how when Dr. Jackson was mentioning 00:16:29.55\00:16:32.89 what's going on in the cellular level - um-hmm - 00:16:33.09\00:16:35.66 in Isaiah 14:12 it talks about Satan being the one 00:16:36.06\00:16:39.73 that weakens the nations. That's right. Now it doesn't 00:16:39.93\00:16:42.26 mean that the nations being... Causing them to be sick. Yes! 00:16:42.46\00:16:44.57 But it doesn't mean that the nations are: "OK, he's going to 00:16:44.77\00:16:46.74 weaken the United States. " No... he actually 00:16:46.94\00:16:49.27 when weakening the nations is people. 00:16:49.47\00:16:52.17 Just in Revelation 14:12 where the angel is declaring 00:16:52.37\00:16:55.44 the gospel to every nation, kindred, people, and tongue - 00:16:55.64\00:16:58.01 that's right - it's talking about individuals. 00:16:58.21\00:17:00.62 So in weakening the nations and making sick the nations 00:17:00.82\00:17:03.69 he's making sick people. And he's doing that at the 00:17:03.89\00:17:06.76 cellular level. And if the foundations be destroyed 00:17:06.96\00:17:10.63 what can the righteous do? 00:17:10.83\00:17:12.86 Wow! So we're being destroyed at the very foundation 00:17:13.06\00:17:16.67 at the cellular level. Wow! That's powerful. 00:17:16.87\00:17:20.27 Now you mentioned... Dr. Jackson, you mentioned kids, 00:17:20.47\00:17:22.84 children. Now they did a study and they showed 00:17:23.04\00:17:25.01 young kids under the age of 10 00:17:25.21\00:17:27.58 that if they took a carrot and gave it to them 00:17:27.78\00:17:30.15 they were fine with it. Um-hmm. Or they didn't like it, 00:17:30.35\00:17:32.38 they didn't like it. But if they took a carrot 00:17:32.58\00:17:35.25 and put it in a fast food bag and they ate it they said it 00:17:35.45\00:17:37.72 tasted better. Um-hmm. In a bag. Put it in a fast food 00:17:37.92\00:17:41.32 bag... plastic bag. That's what I'm said: "A bag? " 00:17:41.52\00:17:44.33 So how did that happen? What has taken place there? 00:17:44.53\00:17:47.20 It's something on the psychological level 00:17:47.60\00:17:50.70 is taking place. That's right. 00:17:50.90\00:17:52.23 And this is where the battle is won 00:17:52.30\00:17:54.04 because we find that the thinking process has definitely 00:17:54.44\00:17:59.01 been impacted from early age on up to adult age. 00:17:59.21\00:18:04.75 But even if you make any adjustments in society 00:18:04.95\00:18:07.98 if the thinking is not changed 00:18:08.18\00:18:09.52 the behavior is not going to change. Um-hmm. 00:18:09.55\00:18:10.89 So the food industry knows how to target 00:18:11.09\00:18:14.09 because there's a psychology there. And the same way with 00:18:14.29\00:18:16.66 the Garden of Eden... there's a psychology there. 00:18:16.86\00:18:18.83 The way Satan came to our first parents. 00:18:19.03\00:18:20.96 We find that there is a psychology there. There's a 00:18:21.16\00:18:22.83 mesmerism there that has to put things in a different 00:18:23.03\00:18:25.77 perspective because if it doesn't look good, taste good 00:18:25.97\00:18:28.77 then we're not going to buy into it. But it has to be 00:18:28.97\00:18:31.27 a programming process. I believe that a lot of this 00:18:31.47\00:18:34.24 stuff has been demonized... a lot of the things that 00:18:34.44\00:18:36.18 we are dealing with. But however we cannot use that term 00:18:36.38\00:18:39.55 within the marketing industry. 00:18:39.75\00:18:41.45 But the marketing industry is very wise. 00:18:41.65\00:18:44.19 They know how to program. Yes. 00:18:44.39\00:18:46.76 They're programming people. Yes... go ahead. 00:18:46.96\00:18:48.29 There is also... for kids also there's hyperactivity. 00:18:48.39\00:18:53.09 And a lot of it is coming from fast food because 00:18:53.29\00:18:55.40 there's such a low level of omega-3 fatty acid 00:18:55.60\00:18:59.87 that we eat. And that brings down all our serotonin levels 00:19:00.07\00:19:04.54 and it increases depression. 00:19:04.74\00:19:06.91 Affects us hormonally? Yes. 00:19:07.11\00:19:09.41 Um-hmm. So imagine all our kids that are hyperactive. 00:19:09.61\00:19:12.11 They have more anxiety, more depression, 00:19:12.31\00:19:14.75 and we don't know what's wrong with them. 00:19:14.95\00:19:16.55 And then they end up eating more food. It becomes 00:19:16.75\00:19:18.45 a really serious cycle for them. 00:19:18.65\00:19:20.02 Then we make them drug addicts. I was going to say: somebody 00:19:20.22\00:19:22.12 is saying: "Well you know what? There's a drug for that. " 00:19:22.32\00:19:24.43 That's right. Well, the drug: Ritalin. 00:19:24.63\00:19:28.13 Medication. And so it's a vicious circle. 00:19:28.33\00:19:30.83 Um-hmm. So we have people... we're putting them in the cycle 00:19:31.03\00:19:33.77 of sickness that leads to death. 00:19:33.97\00:19:36.44 And you know, I like to just kind of express what 00:19:36.64\00:19:41.68 people are thinking, you know. And I think what people are 00:19:41.88\00:19:45.35 thinking. They're saying: "Well, I hear what you're saying 00:19:45.55\00:19:48.28 but you know what? You've got to die from something. " 00:19:48.48\00:19:50.29 That's what they think. Um-hmm. 00:19:50.49\00:19:51.99 "You've gotta die from something. " That's a fatalistic 00:19:52.19\00:19:53.79 mindset. Yes. That's also something that has happened 00:19:53.99\00:19:56.89 to our psyche. That's right... that's absolutely right. 00:19:57.09\00:19:59.33 It takes me back to the Bible. It takes me back 00:19:59.53\00:20:01.96 to Genesis chapter 3 where that first lie 00:20:02.16\00:20:06.63 and I hear it all the time. 00:20:06.84\00:20:08.17 It's amazing how it's still with us. 00:20:08.20\00:20:09.54 Basically the devil said to Eve 00:20:09.60\00:20:12.77 "One bite won't hurt you. " 00:20:13.17\00:20:14.91 And I've been to many many gatherings where there's food 00:20:15.41\00:20:19.35 especially around family and things like that 00:20:19.55\00:20:21.12 around the holidays and I say: "Well I don't eat that. " 00:20:21.32\00:20:23.39 And they'll say: "One bite won't kill you. " That's right. 00:20:23.59\00:20:27.06 Now Adam and Eve did not know that that one bite - 00:20:27.46\00:20:30.06 one bite would kill them - would begin the process of death. 00:20:30.26\00:20:32.56 And when we take one bite - even though we have pleasure 00:20:32.96\00:20:36.06 for a moment - that's right - we don't realize that the 00:20:36.26\00:20:38.17 process of death has really begun, hasn't it? 00:20:38.37\00:20:40.97 Eat it fast... won't last. 00:20:41.17\00:20:42.70 Eat it fast... You know, we like to say... We call this program 00:20:45.94\00:20:49.14 Fast Food... slowest food in the West. 00:20:49.44\00:20:51.91 And why is it slow? Why would we say that it's slow? 00:20:52.11\00:20:55.02 It won't last. It won't last. 00:20:55.22\00:20:56.69 So why is it slow? It's empty... we heard that. 00:20:56.89\00:21:00.86 Even Sickness said that. Slows down our circulation. 00:21:01.02\00:21:03.73 Slows down our circulation. Why? 00:21:03.93\00:21:05.66 Just clogs it up. Because it's high in that fat. 00:21:06.06\00:21:08.46 That fat affects the blood; it gets into the bloodstream, 00:21:08.66\00:21:10.77 right? What else does it slow down? 00:21:10.97\00:21:12.93 We find that not only are we talking about circulation... 00:21:13.13\00:21:15.54 it definitely slows down the whole process of vital force. 00:21:15.74\00:21:20.01 Even though it gives us a sense of quick pick up 00:21:20.41\00:21:23.11 but it continues to rob. You know, the Bible says in 00:21:23.31\00:21:25.65 John 10:10: "There is one that is a thief. 00:21:25.85\00:21:29.02 He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. " Through fast food 00:21:29.22\00:21:31.62 the devil is stealing our vital force. 00:21:31.82\00:21:33.89 He is seeking to steal... 00:21:34.09\00:21:35.59 You know, even when we mentioned about the ADH 00:21:35.79\00:21:38.96 fast food - the type of food we are eating - even affects 00:21:39.16\00:21:41.46 our mental ability to function. 00:21:41.66\00:21:43.93 So he is stealing even our ability to think clearly 00:21:44.13\00:21:46.87 through the high-processed food. Sugar... take sugar for example, 00:21:47.07\00:21:50.24 which in a previous show I said I was sugarholic. 00:21:50.44\00:21:53.04 Sugar sandwich; sugar on the rice; 00:21:53.44\00:21:56.75 sugar in the collard greens. Sugar in your grits! 00:21:56.95\00:21:59.78 In the grits... my! And find it was robbing my body 00:21:59.98\00:22:03.45 as we already know of the B vitamins, the calcium, and etc. 00:22:03.65\00:22:07.02 And though it was convenient, sweet, 00:22:07.42\00:22:10.69 it was also suppressing my immune system. 00:22:10.89\00:22:14.66 Slowing down my ability to fight off the bacteria 00:22:15.06\00:22:18.50 and the viral invasions. Um-hmm. 00:22:18.70\00:22:20.24 So we go on and on and on. Yeah. 00:22:20.44\00:22:21.77 Now we've got just a couple minutes left and I want to make 00:22:21.90\00:22:23.61 sure that we cover a couple things here. 00:22:23.81\00:22:25.84 One I want to talk about you brought up the idea of 00:22:26.14\00:22:28.11 robbing... it being a robber of your vital force. 00:22:28.31\00:22:32.21 That's right. The things in your body that you need. 00:22:32.41\00:22:34.05 And then I want to transition to what are some practical 00:22:34.45\00:22:36.85 things that people can do. You know, we see here that 00:22:37.05\00:22:39.35 we've got fast food here, but maybe there are a few other 00:22:39.55\00:22:41.22 things that we can talk about. 00:22:41.42\00:22:42.76 But also if you're eating high protein, 00:22:42.86\00:22:44.83 right? Is it true that your body needs 00:22:45.03\00:22:49.06 to get calcium from somewhere to metabolize that protein 00:22:49.26\00:22:53.94 from a meat source and then robs it from 00:22:54.14\00:22:56.71 say your bones where there is calcium in abundance? 00:22:56.91\00:22:59.44 Is that true? Yes. So that's robbery right there! 00:22:59.64\00:23:03.14 Most definitely! So I'm reminded of this definition 00:23:03.35\00:23:06.31 of food that says that when we eat something it should 00:23:06.51\00:23:08.85 in no way injure the system. That's correct. 00:23:09.05\00:23:11.65 It should not injure the body or any of its parts 00:23:11.85\00:23:14.32 but instead it should bring life to it. That's right. 00:23:14.52\00:23:16.22 That's right. Is that right? That's right. 00:23:16.42\00:23:18.26 The Bible says that the foods we eat in fast food is... 00:23:18.46\00:23:21.73 definitely is a thief. Like sugar... sugar is a thief! 00:23:21.93\00:23:25.10 Refined white flour... it's a thief. 00:23:25.30\00:23:27.44 Fried food... it's a thief. It does rob, depletes. 00:23:27.64\00:23:30.14 Now the body has to compensate like I said. 00:23:30.34\00:23:32.94 If we are eating high- protein food... which we need 00:23:33.14\00:23:35.81 protein but in a different source... 00:23:36.01\00:23:37.58 then the body becomes so acidic. Now the body's got to pull 00:23:37.78\00:23:40.28 calcium from the bones to neutralize it. 00:23:40.48\00:23:42.78 So in one sense we seem like we're getting the pleasure 00:23:42.98\00:23:44.99 but down the long term we're actually doing more harm. 00:23:45.19\00:23:49.82 Pleasure for the moment. 00:23:50.03\00:23:51.46 Hidden parts... we don't know what's going on 00:23:51.66\00:23:53.76 but there's something that's taking place in our biochemical 00:23:53.96\00:23:57.63 bodies... highly biochemical. It's robbing 00:23:57.93\00:24:02.50 and things are taking place and we don't even know it. 00:24:02.70\00:24:04.71 Wow! And it's because we don't know it or don't see it 00:24:05.11\00:24:08.31 that we think: "Oh, it's not harming me. " 00:24:08.51\00:24:10.35 "Oh, having this one bite won't affect me. " 00:24:10.55\00:24:13.62 And I remember when my wife and I, we... because we're both 00:24:13.82\00:24:17.79 cheese... we love cheese. Love it! We loved it. 00:24:17.99\00:24:20.86 And we started weaning off from it, and there was a period 00:24:21.06\00:24:23.73 of time where we were off of it for maybe 2 or 3 weeks. 00:24:23.93\00:24:26.83 And we decided to "treat" ourselves 00:24:27.03\00:24:29.13 for date night and go have some yogurt. 00:24:29.33\00:24:32.03 Oh, that's nice. It was a nice date night. It was not nice! 00:24:32.23\00:24:35.24 Unfortunately it ends up... The date night was nice 00:24:35.44\00:24:37.01 but what they ate... Yeah, but unfortunately 00:24:37.21\00:24:41.14 we ate that and then within 30 minutes 00:24:41.34\00:24:43.95 we were sick... so we couldn't even enjoy date night. 00:24:44.15\00:24:47.75 And it's at that point we realized that 00:24:47.95\00:24:50.12 having all of that cheese and all of those dairy products 00:24:50.52\00:24:53.39 actually affected our systems and we didn't even know it. 00:24:53.59\00:24:56.12 Slowed you down, didn't it? It slowed us down! 00:24:56.32\00:24:57.96 We bring that back around to couples. 00:24:58.16\00:25:01.06 It was date night for them - yes - but food, fast food - 00:25:01.46\00:25:04.53 cheese - destroyed their date night. 00:25:04.73\00:25:07.04 We could keep talking about this and go on and on. 00:25:09.14\00:25:11.87 We're going to have to talk about some more of these things 00:25:12.07\00:25:13.41 on another program. We thank you so much for 00:25:13.61\00:25:15.61 being with us. I hope that you've enjoyed this. 00:25:15.81\00:25:17.95 This has been an interesting topic: fast food. 00:25:18.25\00:25:21.58 I know it's important to a lot of people out there, 00:25:21.78\00:25:23.39 but you know what? Just take into consideration 00:25:23.59\00:25:26.12 the things that we've talked about. Don't forget where you 00:25:26.32\00:25:27.66 saw Sickness but don't you end up there. 00:25:27.69\00:25:29.72 See you next time. 00:25:30.13\00:25:31.46 You know, I really enjoyed the topic of the program today. 00:25:33.43\00:25:37.70 Why don't we do a re-cap? 00:25:38.10\00:25:39.57 Today we learned that fast food is 00:25:39.87\00:25:43.84 highly-processed, has little nutritional value, 00:25:44.34\00:25:47.94 and it's loaded with sugar and dangerous chemicals. 00:25:48.14\00:25:52.21 Who cares? The fast food industry is 00:25:53.35\00:25:56.35 a multi-billion dollar industry because they offer convenience. 00:25:56.55\00:26:01.06 And people aren't going to give up convenience 00:26:01.46\00:26:03.83 for your health tips. Wait a minute. 00:26:04.13\00:26:06.49 So... how convenient is a heart attack? 00:26:06.80\00:26:10.13 Or how convenient is triple-bypass heart surgery? 00:26:10.43\00:26:14.20 Type II diabetes... is that convenient? 00:26:14.50\00:26:17.31 Or how about this one: death? 00:26:17.61\00:26:20.38 How convenient is death? 00:26:20.78\00:26:22.31 Do you really think that people are going to choose 00:26:22.51\00:26:25.61 death and sickness for the sake of convenience? 00:26:25.81\00:26:29.08 Hmm... let's see. 00:26:29.38\00:26:30.95 Yes! Because it tastes good! 00:26:31.25\00:26:33.92 Look, people will deal with some diabetes, 00:26:34.32\00:26:36.66 going to the doctor... waiting for three hours... 00:26:36.86\00:26:38.79 because hey, they realize: 00:26:39.09\00:26:40.90 taste is what you should rely on in life. 00:26:41.20\00:26:44.30 Stop trying to scare people with all that scary health stuff... 00:26:44.60\00:26:48.17 although it really is going to happen. 00:26:48.37\00:26:50.91 The reality is people really will not give up taste. 00:26:51.11\00:26:55.04 Taste is like my best weapon. 00:26:55.24\00:26:56.64 You give me taste, I can sell people anything. 00:26:56.85\00:26:59.41 Just like the enemy of nutrition is health. 00:26:59.61\00:27:02.32 Friends: we must get control of our appetites. 00:27:02.72\00:27:07.06 What you eat becomes the make-up of your blood 00:27:07.46\00:27:09.99 and the life is in the blood. 00:27:10.19\00:27:12.69 If we eat food that is devoid of nutrition, 00:27:12.89\00:27:15.16 our bodies will not have the ability to fight diseases 00:27:15.36\00:27:19.17 and fight sickness. The Psalmist says: "Oh taste 00:27:19.37\00:27:23.74 and see that the Lord is good. " 00:27:23.94\00:27:26.54 That's the taste we want! 00:27:26.94\00:27:28.38 This has been our program for today. 00:27:28.68\00:27:30.61 That's it? We're done? " 00:27:43.02\00:27:44.53 Stay healthy. Maranatha. 00:27:45.59\00:27:48.63 Taste! 00:27:48.83\00:27:50.77
