that's frightening to me,

because the books of
Daniel and Revelation

which are found within the Bible

are the primary
apocalyptic prophetic books

that are found
within the Holy Word of God.

And Jesus Christ Himself in

words of this prophecy,

getting ready to come to pass

previous study of Daniel 2

historic account of a king

by the name of Nebuchadnezzar.

At that point in
history, Nebuchadnezzar

was the ruler of
the worldwide dominion

known as Babylon.

that God gave Nebuchadnezzar
a prophetic dream.

In this dream
Nebuchadnezzar saw an image

that had a head of gold,

its breast and arms
were made up of silver,

its belly and thighs
were made up of brass,
00:09:15.38\00:09:17.82
its legs were made up iron,
00:09:17.85\00:09:19.95
and its feet were made up of
two materials, iron and clay.

Then Nebuchadnezzar saw a stone
that was cut out without hands

that came and smote
the image upon his feet

that consisted of iron and clay

but it broke the
whole image into pieces.

And then the wind
carried those pieces away.

And the stone
which smote the image,

it became a great mountain
and filled the whole earth.

The Bible gives us this

And then Daniel the
prophet gave Nebuchadnezzar

an interpretation of what
that image was symbolic of.

In Daniel 2:38,
Daniel the prophet revealed

to King
Nebuchadnezzar that his kingdom,

the Kingdom of
Babylon, was symbolized

by that head of gold,

and that the breast and
arms of silver were symbolic
00:10:11.07\00:10:14.18
of another kingdom that
will come up into existence

after the fall of Babylon.

And according to Daniel 5:25-28

that kingdom was
the Medes and Persians.

They symbolize the
breast and arms of silver

and the belly

were actually
symbolic of another kingdom

that will come up into
existence after the reign

of the Medes and Persians.

And according to
a prophetic vision

that Daniel the prophet

the Bible shows us
clearly that it was

the kingdom of Greece
that overthrew the Medes

and the Persians to
rule over the entire

then known world, at
that point in history

symbolized by the
belly and thighs of brass.
00:10:56.28\00:10:59.52
And then we
quickly went to history
00:10:59.55\00:11:02.26
and saw that it was
the Pagan Roman Empire
00:11:02.29\00:11:05.29
that began to rule over that
then known world after Greece.
00:11:05.33\00:11:09.16
Therefore, the Pagan
Roman Empire is symbolized
00:11:09.20\00:11:13.07
in that image by
the legs of iron,
00:11:13.10\00:11:16.87
which brings us now to the feet
that consist of iron and clay

that the iron is a symbol

Empire in this prophecy

likening the house of Israel

potter would have in his hand.

does a potter have in his hand?

Israel is just another title

for the children of Israel.

the house of Israel

God's people are
likened unto potter's clay.

This must be speaking of
a point and times in history

when that Pagan Roman
Empire symbolized by the iron,

united with God's church

symbolized by the potter's clay.

And ladies and gentlemen,

this did happen according to
all popular accounts of history

it's called the development

of the Holy Roman
Empire or Papal Rome.

We're talking about the
development of the papacy,

the Roman Catholic
Church, hierarchy that ruled

over that empire

which the Caesars
once had dominance over.

The Bible is very specific
in all of its information.

But the Bible went on
to tell us in Daniel 2:41

when the church united

with the Pagan Roman Empire

The strength of that union

something happened to the clay?

When the clay
mingled with the iron

it was no longer potter's
clay, it became miry clay.

This is because by definition,
potter's clay is a clay

any dirt or sediment.
