because this prophetic
principle God has left for us

so that we can fully
grasp the revelations

that He has unfolded
for us in the prophecies.

The Bible tells us in
the book of Ecclesiastes

chapter 3 and verse 15,
"That which hath been is now;

and that which is to
be hath already been;

and God requireth
that which is past. "

In other words, the
things that have taken place

in the past, are
currently taking place

in our present-day Society,

which will unfold take place

little bit of backdrop

everybody out there

is not familiar with
this book of the Bible

or that chapter.

In Daniel chapter 2,
the Bible speaks of a king
00:03:08.18\00:03:11.85
by the name of Nebuchadnezzar.
00:03:11.89\00:03:13.22
Nebuchadnezzar was the king
of the then-worldwide governing
00:03:13.25\00:03:17.13
super power known as Babylon.
00:03:17.19\00:03:18.69
One night, Nebuchadnezzar
had a very impressive dream,
00:03:18.76\00:03:22.06
it was so impressive,
that it made his sleep break
00:03:22.10\00:03:25.37
from him, the
Bible says, he woke up.
00:03:25.40\00:03:27.10
But when he woke up he
could not remember the dream
00:03:27.14\00:03:30.41
that he had, so he
called for the soothsayers,
00:03:30.44\00:03:33.31
the magicians, all the
sorcerers in his kingdom
00:03:33.34\00:03:36.14
the Chaldeans, the men
that were his trusty counselors,
00:03:36.18\00:03:39.88
he called them into his presence
00:03:39.91\00:03:41.58
and he required of
them to do two things,
00:03:41.62\00:03:44.35
Number one, to reveal to him
00:03:44.39\00:03:46.22
the dream that he had,
that he couldn't remember,
00:03:46.25\00:03:48.19
and Number two,
00:03:48.22\00:03:49.56
to interpret to him
the meaning of that dream,
00:03:49.59\00:03:52.99
because he knew there
was something important
00:03:53.03\00:03:55.16
about that dream.
00:03:55.20\00:03:56.93
However, these men,

that were students
of the occult mysteries,

these men that
worshiped demonic spirits,

these men that did not
have a relationship with God,

the true and living God,

they could not
reveal to Nebuchadnezzar

the information
that he requested of them

because the dream
that Nebuchadnezzar had

was a dream that was
given to him by God Himself.

And the Bible tells us
in the book of Deuteronomy

chapter 29 and verse 29,
"The secret things belongeth
00:04:22.26\00:04:25.36
unto the Lord thy God:
00:04:25.39\00:04:26.73
but those things
which are revealed
00:04:26.76\00:04:28.73
belong unto us and
to our children for ever
00:04:28.76\00:04:31.77
that we might do all
the words of his Law. "

You see, God will only
reveal His secret things...

His prophetic messages to those

who have yielded their
hearts to be willing to obey

the Commandments of
God, and those sorcerers,

those magicians,
those worldly-wise men,

they could care less
about the true and living God

and so God wasn't going
to reveal anything to them.

But the Bible does tell us
something in the book of Amos

chapter 3 and verse 7, it says,
00:04:56.42\00:04:58.09
"Surely the Lord
God will do nothing,
00:04:58.13\00:04:59.96
but he revealeth his secret
00:05:00.00\00:05:02.03
unto his
servants the prophets. "
00:05:02.06\00:05:03.93
Keep that in mind.

Because these men were
not able to reveal to the king
00:05:05.33\00:05:08.57
what he had asked of them,
he became irate, he was upset,
00:05:08.60\00:05:12.17
so he sent forth a death decree
for every wise man in Babylon

to be immediately
executed, but during that time,
00:05:15.84\00:05:19.05
there were four Hebrew captives
00:05:19.08\00:05:21.38
that were in
the city of Babylon.
00:05:21.45\00:05:23.69
Their names were Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.
00:05:23.72\00:05:27.86
Those are their true names,
00:05:27.89\00:05:29.66
but as captives in the courts
of the Kingdom of Babylon,
00:05:29.72\00:05:32.69
they were renamed,
00:05:32.73\00:05:34.06
Belteshazzar,
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
00:05:34.10\00:05:38.40
You see these four Hebrew slaves
were brought into subjugation
00:05:38.57\00:05:42.57
by Nebuchadnezzar.
00:05:42.60\00:05:43.94
But the greatest
intellects of Babylon,
00:05:43.97\00:05:46.98
were actually commissioned
to train these young men
00:05:47.01\00:05:49.88
as well as many other slaves
that were taken out of Jerusalem
00:05:49.91\00:05:53.65
at the time of their subjugation
00:05:53.72\00:05:55.35
to become wisemen
in the King's Court
00:05:55.38\00:05:59.09
and at this time,
00:05:59.12\00:06:00.96
Daniel, Hananiah,
Mishael and Azariah
00:06:00.99\00:06:03.89
had finished their education,
00:06:03.93\00:06:05.63
therefore, when the
death decree went forth,

to wipe out the
wise men of Babylon,
00:06:08.40\00:06:10.53
their heads were on
the chopping block as well.

And when Arioch, who was
the captain of the King's guard
00:06:13.00\00:06:16.81
came upon Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah,

to carry out the King's
decree upon their heads,

Daniel said, "Why has
this decree gone forth
00:06:22.41\00:06:25.78
so hastily from the king?"

Arioch actually took
time to explain to Daniel
00:06:27.32\00:06:32.29
what transpired
earlier that day.
00:06:32.32\00:06:34.52
And then, Daniel made a request,
his request was for the King,

Nebuchadnezzar to give him time
and if time was granted him,
00:06:38.96\00:06:43.00
he would not only
reveal to Nebuchadnezzar
00:06:43.03\00:06:45.50
the dream that he had,
that he couldn't remember,
00:06:45.53\00:06:47.84
but he would also give him the
interpretation of that dream.
00:06:47.87\00:06:51.74
Arioch went back
to Nebuchadnezzar,
00:06:51.77\00:06:54.38
he made the
request on behalf of Daniel
00:06:54.44\00:06:57.15
and Daniel's
request was granted.
00:06:57.21\00:06:59.78
Then, Daniel, Hananiah,
00:06:59.81\00:07:02.92
Mishael and Azariah...

they fell on their
knees and they prayed.

And as God is always
faithful to His promises,

He revealed to these
young men not only the dream

that Nebuchadnezzar had,
but also its interpretation.

Because remember the Bible says,

in the book of Amos
chapter 3 and verse 7,
00:07:18.23\00:07:21.34
"Surely the Lord
God will do nothing,
00:07:21.40\00:07:23.71
but He revealeth his secret
00:07:23.74\00:07:25.91
unto his
servants the prophets. "
00:07:25.94\00:07:28.61
Now, let's go to Daniel
chapter 2 beginning at verse 31,
00:07:28.64\00:07:33.42
because therein is where we
will find the prophetic dream
00:07:33.45\00:07:37.09
that God gave to Nebuchadnezzar.
00:07:37.12\00:07:39.69
In Daniel
chapter 2 and verse 31,
00:07:39.72\00:07:42.22
the Bible tells us,
00:07:42.29\00:07:43.86
"Thou, O king, sawest,
and behold a great image.
00:07:43.89\00:07:47.10
This great image, whose
brightness was excellent,
00:07:47.13\00:07:49.90
stood before thee;
00:07:49.93\00:07:51.27
and the form
thereof was terrible.
00:07:51.30\00:07:53.70
This image's
head was of fine gold,
00:07:53.74\00:07:56.04
his breast and
his arms of silver,
00:07:56.10\00:07:58.34
his belly and his thighs
of brass, His legs of iron,
00:07:58.37\00:08:03.08
his feet part of
iron and part of clay.
00:08:03.11\00:08:06.61
Thou sawest till that a
stone was cut out without hands,
00:08:06.65\00:08:10.62
which smote the image upon his
feet that were of iron and clay,
00:08:10.65\00:08:14.92
and brake them to pieces.
00:08:14.96\00:08:16.52
Then was the iron,
the clay, the brass,
00:08:16.59\00:08:19.46
the silver and the gold,
00:08:19.49\00:08:21.50
broken to pieces together,

and became as the chaff of
the summer threshing floors;

and the wind carried them away,

that no place was
found for them anymore.

Then the stone which smote the
image became a great mountain,

and filled the whole earth.

This is the dream; and we will
tell the interpretation thereof

before the king. "

Let's stop right there.

I believe that's
Daniel chapter 2 and verse 36.
00:08:46.02\00:08:47.99
Clearly from the Bible,
00:08:48.02\00:08:49.36
we can see that Nebuchadnezzar
had a very important dream.
00:08:49.39\00:08:52.16
This dream was of an image,
00:08:52.19\00:08:54.20
it was a very inspiring image
because it had a head of gold,
00:08:54.23\00:08:58.13
its breast and its
arms were of silver,
00:08:58.17\00:09:00.60
its belly and its
thighs were of brass,
00:09:00.64\00:09:03.00
its legs were of iron
00:09:03.04\00:09:04.37
and its feet were made of
two materials: iron and clay.
00:09:04.41\00:09:08.31
Then the Bible tells us
00:09:08.34\00:09:09.68
there was a stone that
came and hit this image
00:09:09.71\00:09:11.95
in its feet,
broke the entire image
00:09:11.98\00:09:14.08
and then that stone
became a great mountain
00:09:14.12\00:09:16.42
and filled the whole earth.
00:09:16.45\00:09:17.79
I just said what the Bible
just said a few minutes ago.
00:09:17.82\00:09:20.86
Now, let's see what the
interpretation of this thing is
00:09:20.89\00:09:24.16
beginning at Daniel
chapter 2 and verse 37.
00:09:24.19\00:09:27.20
The Bible tells us,
00:09:27.23\00:09:28.70
"Thou, O king,
art a king of kings:
00:09:28.73\00:09:31.83
for the God of heaven
hath given thee a kingdom,
00:09:31.87\00:09:34.57
and power, and
strength, and glory.
00:09:34.60\00:09:37.57
And wheresoever the
children of men dwell,
00:09:37.61\00:09:39.84
the beasts of the field
and the fowls of the heaven
00:09:39.87\00:09:42.64
hath he given into thine hand,
00:09:42.68\00:09:44.21
and hath made thee
ruler over them all.
00:09:44.25\00:09:46.88
Thou art this head of gold,
00:09:46.92\00:09:49.92
And after thee shall
arise another kingdom
00:09:49.95\00:09:52.65
inferior to thee, and
a third kingdom of brass,
00:09:52.72\00:09:55.92
which shall bear
rule over all the earth. "

Now, I hope that you
were paying attention
00:09:58.63\00:10:01.23
because if you were,
then you should realize
00:10:01.26\00:10:03.80
that we just gained some
very invaluable information
00:10:03.83\00:10:07.14
that will assist us in
being able to accurately define
00:10:07.20\00:10:10.47
the prophetic nature of
this most peculiar image.
00:10:10.51\00:10:14.08
Because in Daniel
chapter 2 and verse 38,
00:10:14.11\00:10:16.88
Daniel clearly told
Nebuchadnezzar that his kingdom
00:10:16.91\00:10:21.02
was symbolized
by that head of gold
00:10:21.05\00:10:24.32
and that after his kingdom,
another kingdom would arise,
00:10:24.35\00:10:29.02
that would be inferior
to his kingdom, Babylon,
00:10:29.09\00:10:32.19
the same way that silver
is inferior in value to gold.
00:10:32.23\00:10:37.43
And then a third kingdom...
a third kingdom of brass,
00:10:37.47\00:10:42.64
which shall bear
rule over all the earth.
00:10:42.67\00:10:45.47
Clearly, each one of the metals
that are part of the makeup
00:10:45.51\00:10:49.81
of this prophetic image,
00:10:49.84\00:10:51.55
they are all
symbolic of kingdoms
00:10:51.58\00:10:54.48
or political
powers, or civil powers.
00:10:54.52\00:10:57.32
Each one of these
terms are interchangeable
00:10:57.35\00:11:00.42
and the first of
these would be Babylon,
00:11:00.46\00:11:03.43
because Babylon was
symbolized by the head of gold.
00:11:03.46\00:11:08.16
Therefore, the breast and
arms of silver are symbolic
00:11:08.20\00:11:12.83
of a kingdom that
would come into rule
00:11:12.87\00:11:15.87
over the then-known world
after the fall of Babylon.
00:11:15.90\00:11:20.18
So, the question is,
"What kingdom began to rule

over the then-known world
00:11:24.48\00:11:25.95
after the reign
and fall of Babylon?"

The Bible has the
answer, of course,

in the book of Daniel chapter 5,

in Daniel chapter 5,
00:11:33.15\00:11:35.29
we are given
the historic account
00:11:35.32\00:11:37.66
of Nebuchadnezzar's grandson,
by the name of Belshazzar.
00:11:37.69\00:11:41.36
Now, at this point in time,
00:11:41.40\00:11:43.33
Belshazzar had
actually ascended to the throne,
00:11:43.37\00:11:46.80
to be the new king
over the domain of Babylon.
00:11:46.84\00:11:50.21
And one day, Belshazzar
decided to have a crazy feast
00:11:50.24\00:11:54.84
in which the wine of
Babylon flowed freely.
00:11:54.88\00:11:58.11
But in the midst of
all of his drunken revelry,
00:11:58.15\00:12:01.42
Belshazzar decided to do
something that was insane.
00:12:01.45\00:12:05.05
He commanded his servants
to go into his treasure house
00:12:05.12\00:12:08.42
and retrieve the vessels
00:12:08.46\00:12:10.79
that were taken out
of the Hebrew temple
00:12:10.83\00:12:13.33
at the time of the overthrow
of the city of Jerusalem.
00:12:13.36\00:12:16.80
And Belshazzar was fully aware
that these vessels were used
00:12:16.83\00:12:21.67
in the worship of
the true and living God.
00:12:21.70\00:12:24.94
But to mock God to His face,
00:12:24.97\00:12:27.58
Belshazzar had his servants
pour wine into these vessels,
00:12:27.61\00:12:31.61
and then they began to
worship the gods of gold,
00:12:31.65\00:12:35.25
and of silver and of nothing.
00:12:35.28\00:12:37.55
But in the midst of
all of their revelry,
00:12:37.59\00:12:40.32
in the midst of
all of his mocking God,

God sent forth a bloodless
hand from His presence,

and that hand began
to write with its fingers
00:12:47.03\00:12:50.50
on the wall, and
Belshazzar was so terrified,

the Bible tells us
that his loins were loosed.
00:12:53.90\00:12:57.17
None of Belshazzar's
servants, not even he, himself,
00:12:57.21\00:13:00.98
could understand the handwriting
that was on the wall.

So, what do you think they did?

Belshazzar called
for the prophet Daniel

to interpret the
handwriting on the wall.

And in Daniel
chapter 5 and verse 25

we are told exactly
what was written on the wall.

The Bible tells us there,

"This is the
writing that was written,

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN,
00:13:23.93\00:13:27.17
this is the
interpretation of the thing:
00:13:27.20\00:13:29.30
MENE; God hath numbered
thy kingdom, and finished it.
00:13:29.34\00:13:33.17
TEKEL; Thou art weighed in
the balances, and found wanting.
00:13:33.21\00:13:37.51
PERES; Thy kingdom is divided,
00:13:37.55\00:13:40.32
and given to the
Medes and the Persians. "
00:13:40.35\00:13:43.69
And there's our answer.
00:13:43.75\00:13:45.79
At the time of
the fall of Babylon,
00:13:45.82\00:13:48.56
the Medes and the Persians
00:13:48.59\00:13:51.13
ascended to be the kingdom
00:13:51.16\00:13:53.63
that would have dominance
over the then-known world.

It was the
Medes and the Persians
00:13:56.67\00:13:58.83
that actually conquered Babylon.

And that is what the
breast and arms of silver

are symbolic of in
this prophetic image.

Which brings us now to
the belly and thighs of brass.

Now, what kingdom do you think
that these are symbolic of?
00:14:11.45\00:14:15.35
Well, of course, the
Bible has the answer.
00:14:15.38\00:14:18.12
In the book of Daniel chapter 8,
00:14:18.15\00:14:20.39
Daniel the prophet had a vision.
00:14:20.46\00:14:22.62
And in this
vision, Daniel saw a ram.
00:14:22.66\00:14:25.66
And this ram had two horns
00:14:25.69\00:14:27.73
and one of the horns
was higher than the other,
00:14:27.76\00:14:30.80
and the highest
horn came up last.
00:14:30.83\00:14:33.74
And this ram pushed westward
and northward and southward
00:14:33.80\00:14:37.91
and it seemed as
though no other beast
00:14:37.94\00:14:40.94
could compete with this
ram, so it became great.
00:14:40.98\00:14:44.58
But all of a sudden in
the midst of its greatness,
00:14:44.61\00:14:47.52
Daniel saw in his vision
00:14:47.55\00:14:49.52
a rough he-goat moving
upon the face of planet earth.
00:14:49.55\00:14:53.32
And this rough he-goat,
00:14:53.36\00:14:54.99
it had one notable
horn between its eyes.
00:14:55.02\00:14:58.29
And it moved with
such rapidity, such speed,
00:14:58.33\00:15:01.56
that the Bible tells us
00:15:01.63\00:15:03.23
that its feet didn't
even touch the ground.
00:15:03.26\00:15:05.70
And it came unto the Ram
and it was moved with choler...

meaning great anger,

with the war-like
passion against the ram,

and it smote the ram,

and it began to
stamp up on the ram,

and there was no other beast,

no other entity in
existence at that time

that could deliver the ram out
of the dominance of the goat.

And then the goat
began to push southward

and eastward, even
towards the pleasant land

and it waxed
very great and then...

in the midst of its greatness,
its notable horn broke

horns came up in its place.

Now the Bible is
going to actually identify

what these
beasts are symbolic of

in the book of Daniel
chapter 8 beginning at verse 20.

We are told there, "And
the ram which thou sawest
00:15:55.15\00:15:58.92
having two horns are the
kings of Media and Persia
00:15:58.95\00:16:02.72
and the rough he-goat
is the king of Grecia:
00:16:02.76\00:16:06.03
and the great horn
that is between his eyes
00:16:06.09\00:16:09.33
is the first king.
00:16:09.36\00:16:11.50
Now that being broken,
whereas four stood up for it,
