Hi, and you're now with The Forerunner Chronicles. 00:01:58.68\00:02:02.75 Alright everybody, did you know, or at least have you ever 00:02:02.78\00:02:06.42 considered that since the beginning of this world 00:02:06.45\00:02:09.62 to this very time, and I'm talking about a span of some 00:02:09.66\00:02:12.79 6000 plus years here, there has not been one invention, 00:02:12.83\00:02:17.43 not one invention, that has been conceived by the greatest 00:02:17.47\00:02:22.14 efforts of human ingenuity that can even begin to come close in 00:02:22.17\00:02:26.61 paralleling the absolute excellence of the organic 00:02:26.64\00:02:30.31 machinery known as the human body. 00:02:30.35\00:02:33.21 All of us, you and I, we are the products of divine development. 00:02:33.25\00:02:39.39 The Bible tells us in the book of Psalm 139:14, I will praise 00:02:39.42\00:02:46.53 thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: 00:02:46.56\00:02:49.86 marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 00:02:49.90\00:02:54.47 Now what I'm going to share with you next is a thought that I 00:02:54.50\00:02:57.64 don't want you to ever forget. 00:02:57.67\00:02:59.47 I want it to resonate in your mind for as long as you live. 00:02:59.51\00:03:02.84 Are you ready for this? Well, here it is. 00:03:02.88\00:03:06.35 I don't care what you may have learned in school. 00:03:06.38\00:03:08.98 And I don't care what you possibly may have heard 00:03:09.02\00:03:12.39 and learned in your own home. 00:03:12.42\00:03:14.76 You are not the product of somebody's mistake. 00:03:14.79\00:03:19.19 You did not come into existence by happenstance. 00:03:19.23\00:03:23.97 You are the product of the careful, loving, methodical, 00:03:24.00\00:03:28.87 painstaking efforts of the God Almighty. 00:03:28.90\00:03:32.21 God has brought you into existence for the purpose of 00:03:32.24\00:03:36.04 fulfilling some infinite design in His eternal kingdom, 00:03:36.08\00:03:40.45 because you are fearfully and wonderfully made. 00:03:40.48\00:03:44.69 And for this reason alone, all of the combined assets of the 00:03:44.72\00:03:50.03 financial institutions in our world could not even begin 00:03:50.06\00:03:54.23 to accumulate a sum that is sufficient to equal the worth 00:03:54.30\00:03:58.07 of one human being. 00:03:58.10\00:04:00.17 And I praise God for that. 00:04:00.20\00:04:02.10 But you know, there's another reason in the Scriptures why 00:04:02.14\00:04:05.07 we are worth so much more than anything that 00:04:05.11\00:04:07.98 this world could offer. 00:04:08.01\00:04:09.38 The Bible tells us in the book of 1 Corinthians 6:19: 00:04:09.41\00:04:15.22 How many of us honesty consider on a day by day basis that we 00:04:32.10\00:04:38.54 were created by God to be the living temple of the third 00:04:38.57\00:04:42.88 person of the godhead? 00:04:42.91\00:04:44.85 This is not just an awesome thought; 00:04:44.88\00:04:47.45 this is an awesome reality. 00:04:47.48\00:04:49.88 An awesome reality which brings me to my next point. 00:04:49.92\00:04:53.39 The Bible tells us in the book of 1 Kings 6, that King Solomon 00:04:53.42\00:04:58.43 took upon himself the work of building a temple for God. 00:04:58.46\00:05:02.30 And, of course, this was a physical structure. 00:05:02.33\00:05:05.57 But when choosing the materials that would make up this 00:05:05.60\00:05:08.74 structure, Solomon chose the very best materials out of his 00:05:08.77\00:05:12.84 treasure house, and out of the world, that would optimize 00:05:12.87\00:05:16.51 the beauty, and the durability of that physical building. 00:05:16.54\00:05:21.48 And after he erected the temple for God, and prayed, 00:05:21.52\00:05:25.05 and consecrated it to the service of God, we are told in 00:05:25.09\00:05:28.92 1 Kings 8:11, that the glory of the Lord filled the house. 00:05:28.96\00:05:34.83 The glory of the Lord filled the temple. 00:05:34.83\00:05:38.03 This is an important point for us to consider. 00:05:38.07\00:05:41.24 Because if Solomon would take such care in choosing the 00:05:41.27\00:05:45.31 materials that would optimize the beauty, and the durability 00:05:45.34\00:05:49.54 of that physical building, how much more careful should we be 00:05:49.58\00:05:54.72 in choosing how we treat our bodies? 00:05:54.75\00:05:57.55 What we place within our bodies, which were made by the hands 00:05:57.59\00:06:01.12 of God Himself, to be His living temple, so that we can show 00:06:01.16\00:06:05.56 forth His glory in this world. 00:06:05.59\00:06:08.00 Do you know the Bible teaches exactly what I said to you? 00:06:08.03\00:06:11.50 In the book of 1 Corinthians 10: 31, we are told, whether 00:06:11.53\00:06:17.44 therefore ye eat, or ye drink, or whatsoever ye do, 00:06:17.47\00:06:21.88 do all to the glory of God. 00:06:21.91\00:06:25.41 This means that we cannot just eat any type of food that we 00:06:25.45\00:06:29.95 want to eat, because we like the taste of it, 00:06:29.98\00:06:32.79 or drink any types of beverages, for that matter, as well. 00:06:32.82\00:06:36.42 Our health is extremely important. 00:06:36.46\00:06:39.33 Our minds are the only medium through which the Spirit of God 00:06:39.36\00:06:43.03 can communicate to us. 00:06:43.06\00:06:44.40 And our bodies are the instruments that God uses to 00:06:44.43\00:06:47.87 spread His love in this world. 00:06:47.90\00:06:49.24 Therefore, when we make our choices about what type of food 00:06:49.27\00:06:53.07 we'll ingest, or what type of substances we'll place within 00:06:53.11\00:06:56.71 our bodies, we need to be certain that these things will 00:06:56.75\00:07:01.25 minister to us having optimal health, so that we can give 00:07:01.28\00:07:05.65 optimal glory to God. 00:07:05.69\00:07:07.72 The key word here is optimal. 00:07:07.76\00:07:10.39 God requires of us to keep our bodies in good condition, 00:07:10.43\00:07:15.56 and He knows in exactly what condition He has given each 00:07:15.60\00:07:19.80 and every one of us our bodies. 00:07:19.83\00:07:21.84 The Bible tells us in the book of Psalm 139:16, Thine eyes did 00:07:21.87\00:07:28.74 see my substance, yet being imperfect; 00:07:28.78\00:07:31.91 and in thy book all my members were written, 00:07:31.95\00:07:35.48 which in continuance were fashioned, 00:07:35.52\00:07:37.92 when as yet there was none of them. 00:07:37.95\00:07:40.06 Before we even came into existence, God already had an 00:07:40.09\00:07:44.19 accurate record of our lungs, our hearts, our intestines, 00:07:44.23\00:07:47.93 our kidneys, our livers, all of these things, and He requires 00:07:47.96\00:07:52.70 of us to keep them in good condition. 00:07:52.73\00:07:54.80 He is going to require this at each and every one of our hands. 00:07:54.84\00:07:59.37 What have we done with His possession? 00:07:59.41\00:08:02.58 The Bible tells us in the book of 2 Corinthians 5:10, 00:08:02.61\00:08:08.15 This means that whatever we do in these bodies 00:08:19.69\00:08:23.26 that impacts our moral health, as well as our physical health, 00:08:23.30\00:08:27.07 all of these things will be brought before 00:08:27.10\00:08:28.94 us in the judgment. 00:08:29.20\00:08:30.54 And this makes it imperative that we clearly understand, 00:08:30.57\00:08:34.51 and obey by faith all of God's moral laws, as well as all of 00:08:34.54\00:08:39.88 God's health laws, which He has set in place to govern 00:08:39.91\00:08:43.89 our physical beings. 00:08:43.92\00:08:45.55 How many people have this knowledge? 00:08:45.59\00:08:47.82 How many people in our world truly have a working knowledge 00:08:47.86\00:08:52.39 of proper healthcare principles? 00:08:52.46\00:08:55.00 Millions of people every year are dying because they lack 00:08:55.03\00:08:58.53 knowledge in this one area: healthcare. 00:08:58.57\00:09:01.27 The Bible tells us in Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed 00:09:01.30\00:09:06.91 for lack of knowledge. 00:09:06.94\00:09:08.44 And we can see how this text applies to this 00:09:08.54\00:09:11.65 issue of healthcare. 00:09:11.68\00:09:13.01 Because day in and day out people are being overtaken 00:09:13.05\00:09:16.48 by disease and all manner of healthcare issues, because 00:09:16.52\00:09:20.59 1. They lack knowledge on how to maintain their health. 00:09:20.62\00:09:24.63 And then 2. They lack knowledge on how to restore their health 00:09:24.66\00:09:29.46 once they lose their health due to habitual unhealthy practices. 00:09:29.50\00:09:34.34 And, by the way, is the presently popular system of 00:09:34.37\00:09:38.44 healthcare that is dominant in our world at this time 00:09:38.47\00:09:42.54 really the best way? 00:09:42.58\00:09:44.18 And you can't make a guess on this thing. 00:09:44.21\00:09:46.45 You can't say, I think so, it seems right, I'm not sure. 00:09:46.48\00:09:49.52 It's not safe to do that on this issue; an issue upon which hangs 00:09:49.55\00:09:53.62 the lives of millions. 00:09:53.66\00:09:55.26 The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs 16:25, There's a way 00:09:55.29\00:10:00.53 that seemeth right to a man, but the end thereof 00:10:00.56\00:10:03.40 are the ways of death. 00:10:03.43\00:10:04.80 So really and truly, is this the proper method of healthcare 00:10:04.83\00:10:09.04 that is dominate in our world at this time? 00:10:09.07\00:10:12.17 Well, to give us a little bit of help on answering this question, 00:10:12.21\00:10:15.94 I sat down with a good friend and colleague of mine, 00:10:16.01\00:10:19.15 author, educator, and registered healthcare professional, 00:10:19.18\00:10:22.92 Ron Menhart, and he had some very interesting insights 00:10:22.95\00:10:26.65 to share with me, and, of course, I'm going to share it 00:10:26.69\00:10:29.36 with you at this time. Take a look. 00:10:29.39\00:10:31.99 I'd like to take you back to a model that I discovered 00:10:32.03\00:10:36.03 a few years ago dealing with the ideal healthcare system. 00:10:36.06\00:10:39.67 This was actually put out by the U. S. Public Health Service 00:10:39.70\00:10:43.30 a couple of decades ago. 00:10:43.34\00:10:44.67 And what it did was it looked at resources and how we can best 00:10:44.71\00:10:48.31 use our resources; how we can best allocate our resources. 00:10:48.34\00:10:52.15 And it actually put these, stratified these, 00:10:52.21\00:10:56.25 in like a pyramid. 00:10:56.28\00:10:57.62 And the pyramid is actually, it has several layers on it. 00:10:57.65\00:11:02.52 The first layer is the primary form of healthcare 00:11:02.56\00:11:08.20 we should be practicing. 00:11:08.23\00:11:09.56 The second, the third, and the fourth stratifications are 00:11:09.60\00:11:14.04 actually less and less resources we need to put into these 00:11:14.07\00:11:17.44 various components of the ideal healthcare system. 00:11:17.47\00:11:20.98 Well, let's start at the base. 00:11:21.01\00:11:22.41 The base of the pyramid is actually a form of 00:11:22.44\00:11:26.25 wellness education. 00:11:26.28\00:11:27.85 Now it makes sense for us to keep people well, right? 00:11:27.88\00:11:31.79 Not just to treat them when they're sick. 00:11:31.82\00:11:34.16 In fact, if we could keep a population relatively healthy 00:11:34.19\00:11:38.19 we need to spend less, and less amount on actual 00:11:38.23\00:11:41.70 treatments in healthcare. 00:11:41.73\00:11:43.13 It makes a lot of sense, both economically, 00:11:43.16\00:11:46.23 and socially, and morally even. 00:11:46.27\00:11:49.67 Now moving up this pyramid we have the second 00:11:49.70\00:11:52.97 stratification here. 00:11:53.01\00:11:54.34 This is primary healthcare. 00:11:54.38\00:11:55.71 Now even with the best wellness education 00:11:55.78\00:11:58.18 people will still get sick. 00:11:58.21\00:12:00.28 What happens when people get sick? 00:12:00.32\00:12:02.18 They need to go to a qualified practitioner; someone who knows 00:12:02.22\00:12:07.66 how to help them get back into that level of wellness 00:12:07.69\00:12:11.93 which they have fallen from, or risen to in this model. 00:12:11.96\00:12:16.53 And so what happens is with the ideal healthcare system 00:12:16.56\00:12:21.07 there's also an ideal practitioner who is focused on 00:12:21.10\00:12:24.11 wellness, who is bringing their patient back down into a 00:12:24.17\00:12:27.98 state of wellness. 00:12:28.01\00:12:29.34 Even with a practitioner who is focused on wellness, on bringing 00:12:29.38\00:12:33.78 their patient into a level of wellness in which they can 00:12:33.82\00:12:37.35 actually just live life normally, 00:12:37.39\00:12:40.12 and actually prosper and be in health. 00:12:40.16\00:12:42.02 Even with this, there sometimes is a progression of disease. 00:12:42.06\00:12:47.73 And so what we need ideally is another backup. 00:12:47.76\00:12:51.57 This backup is secondary healthcare. 00:12:51.60\00:12:54.77 Secondary healthcare, for example, would be something 00:12:54.80\00:12:58.77 like an overnight stay in a hospital, or a visit with a 00:12:58.81\00:13:02.74 more specialized doctor; someone who has a little bit more 00:13:02.78\00:13:06.61 knowledge in-depth in one system in the body, 00:13:06.68\00:13:10.82 who's able to help, of course, bring that person back to a 00:13:10.85\00:13:14.46 state of wellness. 00:13:14.49\00:13:15.82 This is the ideal to have people well. 00:13:15.86\00:13:17.89 Now even with the best of secondary healthcare, 00:13:17.93\00:13:20.96 there may still be some who kind of fall through the cracks, 00:13:20.96\00:13:24.60 who continue to progress in illness. 00:13:24.63\00:13:27.80 And so what happens here is we need another backup. 00:13:27.84\00:13:30.74 What if that person who went to their physician went to the more 00:13:30.77\00:13:34.18 specialized physician dealing with high blood pressure, 00:13:34.24\00:13:38.25 and complications actually had a heart attack, or a stroke, 00:13:38.28\00:13:42.25 because of their high blood pressure? 00:13:42.28\00:13:44.15 What would they need to do? 00:13:44.19\00:13:45.52 They would need to actually go and receive even more 00:13:45.55\00:13:48.32 specialized healthcare. 00:13:48.36\00:13:49.89 And so basically what would need to happen is they would need 00:13:49.92\00:13:53.63 to go and have some kind of highly specialized, 00:13:53.66\00:13:57.90 very expensive treatment done. 00:13:57.97\00:14:00.34 And, you know, it is needed in some cases. 00:14:00.37\00:14:05.17 But what we actually have in our current system is a total 00:14:05.24\00:14:10.15 reverse of this ideal. 00:14:10.18\00:14:13.18 What we have is the most expensive, 00:14:13.28\00:14:15.65 most highly specialized treatments taking up 00:14:15.68\00:14:19.72 the most resources. 00:14:19.75\00:14:21.86 How did this happen? 00:14:21.89\00:14:23.93 Well, the Bible tells us the love of money is the root 00:14:23.96\00:14:27.36 of all kinds of evil. 00:14:27.40\00:14:28.70 And we can see that this system is a profit based system. 00:14:28.73\00:14:32.10 So what is the result of this type of system? 00:14:32.13\00:14:35.77 this not ideal, or less than ideal system? 00:14:35.80\00:14:39.41 Well, it's very, very sad. 00:14:39.44\00:14:42.18 The average 75 year old suffers from three chronic, debilitating 00:14:42.21\00:14:47.78 conditions, and takes over five prescription medications. 00:14:47.82\00:14:52.15 And this is just the average. 00:14:52.19\00:14:53.56 There are many who take much, much more medication. 00:14:53.62\00:14:57.36 In fact we call this term polypharmacy. 00:14:57.39\00:15:01.10 It gets to a point where they take so many medications that 00:15:01.13\00:15:04.93 we don't even know what the interactions are going to cost. 00:15:05.00\00:15:07.80 We don't know what side effects. 00:15:07.84\00:15:09.34 So many of these people are actually suffering 00:15:09.37\00:15:12.07 they're debilitating. 00:15:12.11\00:15:13.74 Their debility is even increasing because of the 00:15:13.78\00:15:16.54 medications they're on, because of the treatments 00:15:16.61\00:15:19.38 they're receiving, because of all this mixture going on. 00:15:19.41\00:15:22.35 But they're really suffering the most because they've not been 00:15:22.38\00:15:25.95 educated into how to stay well, how to prevent disease, 00:15:25.99\00:15:30.86 how to enjoy life without being in bonds, in bondage 00:15:30.89\00:15:35.66 to medication, to physicians, to the medical establishment. 00:15:35.70\00:15:41.70 So what it really comes down to is that disease is profitable. 00:15:41.74\00:15:47.71 In fact if you were to look at the top four diseases that 00:15:47.74\00:15:51.78 Americans suffer from today, and you looked at the total 00:15:51.81\00:15:55.78 amount of revenue that's generated by these, 00:15:55.82\00:16:00.16 it gets close to 800 billion dollars per year. 00:16:00.19\00:16:04.39 800 billion dollars! 00:16:04.43\00:16:06.33 Imagine if all of that was put over into wellness education. 00:16:06.39\00:16:10.07 We need to ask ourselves, are we even treating 00:16:10.10\00:16:13.03 our patients correctly? 00:16:13.07\00:16:14.64 Are we promoting health, or are we confining them indoors, 00:16:14.67\00:16:19.74 shut away from fresh air and sunlight, 00:16:19.77\00:16:22.78 and the enjoyment of nature, and bringing about a further 00:16:22.81\00:16:26.58 state of debility just by keeping them indoors? 00:16:26.61\00:16:30.22 And are hospitals even healthy to begin with? 00:16:30.29\00:16:33.86 I mean think of the concept. 00:16:33.89\00:16:35.22 We're putting most of our resources into hospital 00:16:35.26\00:16:39.43 type environments. 00:16:39.46\00:16:40.80 So most of the people that get sick in this not so ideal system 00:16:40.83\00:16:44.27 are going to the hospital. 00:16:44.30\00:16:45.73 And so if you're a person that has cancer, let's say, 00:16:45.77\00:16:48.87 would you want to be in a room right next to someone who has 00:16:48.90\00:16:52.04 the Ebola virus, or AIDS, or HIV, Hepatitis, 00:16:52.07\00:16:56.68 any of these things? Ideally no. 00:16:56.71\00:17:00.12 Ideally you would want to be somewhere away from other 00:17:00.15\00:17:03.92 people that are sick, that have viruses, that have bacteria, 00:17:03.95\00:17:06.99 that have fungal infections. 00:17:07.06\00:17:08.89 You want to be away from them. 00:17:08.92\00:17:10.76 Now what happens is when we coop up all of our ill in the 00:17:10.79\00:17:14.93 same place, we have things happening; 00:17:14.93\00:17:16.90 this transmission of disease going on. 00:17:16.93\00:17:19.43 It's actually referred to as nosocomial infections. 00:17:19.47\00:17:23.24 Now in terms of nosocomial infection deaths per year, 00:17:23.30\00:17:27.01 we have something like 80,000 deaths per year due to hospital 00:17:27.04\00:17:32.81 acquired infections. 00:17:32.85\00:17:34.68 What about medications? 00:17:34.72\00:17:36.75 Are medications really that safe? 00:17:36.79\00:17:38.69 In hospital medications ideally should be the most safe. 00:17:38.72\00:17:44.56 Did you know that even in the hospital we have over 200,000 00:17:44.59\00:17:50.33 deaths per year due to medication errors, 00:17:50.37\00:17:54.60 and medication toxicity. 00:17:54.64\00:17:57.31 200,000 deaths per year. 00:17:57.34\00:17:59.91 Add up all of the minutia in terms of hospitalization based 00:17:59.94\00:18:06.05 death, and you have a greater danger even than stroke. 00:18:06.08\00:18:11.29 In fact, how many of you know someone who has 00:18:11.32\00:18:13.79 died from a stroke? 00:18:13.82\00:18:15.16 For every one person that you know that's died from a stroke 00:18:15.19\00:18:19.03 there are two more that have died from a hospitalization, 00:18:19.09\00:18:22.96 from a hospital stay. 00:18:23.00\00:18:24.97 The number is astounding. 00:18:25.00\00:18:26.90 Let's take another look at pharmaceuticals. 00:18:26.94\00:18:29.14 You see, in the current system pharmaceuticals are the 00:18:29.17\00:18:33.38 treatment of choice. 00:18:33.41\00:18:35.11 In fact, in the whole allopathic paradigm pharmaceuticals are 00:18:35.14\00:18:39.98 really the only way that's seen as a qualified treatment for 00:18:40.02\00:18:46.76 those ill that are suffering from chronic 00:18:46.79\00:18:49.46 disease, and so on. 00:18:49.49\00:18:50.83 Now are medications really safe? 00:18:50.86\00:18:54.23 We know that there are side effects to about every 00:18:54.30\00:18:56.33 medication that you can take. 00:18:56.36\00:18:58.00 But did you know that many of these are deadly? 00:18:58.03\00:19:00.84 In fact if you were to take all of the data that has been 00:19:00.87\00:19:05.11 compiled in research, and you compiled it all together; 00:19:05.14\00:19:09.28 you looked at in hospital medication error related death, 00:19:09.31\00:19:13.42 you looked at drug toxicity related death, 00:19:13.45\00:19:17.12 you looked at outpatient drug related deaths, 00:19:17.19\00:19:20.82 and these are all legal drug related. 00:19:20.86\00:19:22.76 These are not, we're not talking about illegal drugs. 00:19:22.79\00:19:26.36 If you added all of these together, 00:19:26.39\00:19:28.63 they are on a very conservative level even, you would have 00:19:28.66\00:19:34.60 something like 500,000 deaths per year related to total 00:19:34.64\00:19:40.54 legal drug deaths: 500,000 deaths per year. 00:19:40.58\00:19:47.02 Now this is a conservative estimate. 00:19:47.05\00:19:50.39 There are some who have said we may even have close to a 00:19:50.42\00:19:53.42 million deaths per year related to drugs, related to legal drug 00:19:53.46\00:19:58.86 use prescription medication, over the 00:19:58.89\00:20:01.10 counter pharmaceuticals. 00:20:01.13\00:20:03.20 When we look at this total amount of drug related deaths, 00:20:03.23\00:20:07.70 anywhere from 500,000 to a million deaths per year 00:20:07.74\00:20:11.47 related to drug use, and this is legal drug use, 00:20:11.51\00:20:15.01 we find something very startling. 00:20:15.04\00:20:17.38 Tobacco accounts for over one half a million deaths per year. 00:20:17.41\00:20:22.95 When we compare this with legal drug usage, we find something 00:20:22.98\00:20:28.46 very interesting, and that is that total legal drug use 00:20:28.49\00:20:33.83 surpasses tobacco in terms of its death toll. 00:20:33.86\00:20:37.77 Now we all know that tobacco is dangerous. 00:20:37.80\00:20:41.77 But how many of you knew that drugs were taking this many 00:20:41.80\00:20:45.94 Americans lives each year? 00:20:45.97\00:20:48.18 And it's not only in America, it's all over the world. 00:20:48.21\00:20:50.81 Because allopathy has dominated medical practice 00:20:50.85\00:20:54.22 throughout the globe. 00:20:54.25\00:20:56.28 If you look at the way our economy is going, it's set up 00:20:56.32\00:21:00.96 right now that health care is just growing, 00:21:00.99\00:21:03.26 and growing, and growing. 00:21:03.32\00:21:04.66 And experts actually predict that if it keeps growing at 00:21:04.69\00:21:08.00 this rate, we will not be able to compete with foreign markets. 00:21:08.03\00:21:12.73 Our economy will be totally destroyed by this system 00:21:12.77\00:21:18.94 that is destroying people's lives. 00:21:18.97\00:21:21.04 In terms of treatment, is there a better way? 00:21:21.11\00:21:26.45 Is there another option? 00:21:26.48\00:21:29.35 I would submit to you that there is. 00:21:29.38\00:21:31.52 There are many alternatives to pharmaceuticals. 00:21:31.55\00:21:35.66 In fact in the early 1900's many of these 00:21:35.69\00:21:38.26 alternatives were practiced. 00:21:38.29\00:21:39.96 However, now allopathy stands alone in its preeminence, 00:21:40.00\00:21:45.30 and also in its dominance in using, and forcing others to 00:21:45.33\00:21:50.67 use this treatment paradigm, and that is prescription drugs, 00:21:50.71\00:21:54.71 over the counter drugs, under the counter drugs, you name it. 00:21:54.78\00:21:58.78 It all has to do with drugs. 00:21:58.81\00:22:00.35 But what it really comes down to is that we are still looking for 00:22:00.38\00:22:06.35 a profit, a way of profiting due to treatment. 00:22:06.39\00:22:10.19 Now many people could just go outside and get some sunlight 00:22:10.23\00:22:14.46 and decrease their risk for cancer. 00:22:14.50\00:22:16.53 In fact, experts recommend moderate sunlight exposure, 00:22:16.56\00:22:21.04 and they actually estimate that over 100,000 cancer deaths 00:22:21.07\00:22:25.47 per year could be prevented if adequate sunlight 00:22:25.51\00:22:29.91 exposure took place. 00:22:29.98\00:22:31.95 Now this is a very benevolent thought. 00:22:31.98\00:22:36.58 But, unfortunately, many people are actually put on other 00:22:36.62\00:22:40.12 prescriptions for preventative measures. 00:22:40.16\00:22:44.53 The allopathic mindset is very much a drug dependent mindset. 00:22:44.56\00:22:49.70 Are we truly focused on bringing our patients into a 00:22:49.73\00:22:54.27 state of wellness? 00:22:54.30\00:22:55.64 Well, I won't leave that up to conjecture. 00:22:55.67\00:22:59.47 In fact a recent gallop poll actually looked at patients who 00:22:59.51\00:23:04.11 had recently seen a physician, and they actually came apart 00:23:04.15\00:23:08.68 from their physician. 00:23:08.72\00:23:10.05 50% of them had not received any counsel whatsoever about 00:23:10.09\00:23:16.93 fitness and/or wellness. That's 50%. 00:23:16.96\00:23:20.43 That's not even asking someone, Do you get a chance to walk 00:23:20.50\00:23:24.60 every now and then? 00:23:24.63\00:23:25.97 That's not even asking someone, Would you consider losing 00:23:26.00\00:23:29.17 a little bit of weight? 00:23:29.24\00:23:30.57 It's not even asking someone, Are you having any 00:23:30.61\00:23:35.78 medication side effects? 00:23:35.81\00:23:37.78 You see, when it really comes down to it, our physicians, 00:23:37.81\00:23:42.38 our little army of physicians here in the United States today 00:23:42.42\00:23:46.99 is so overwhelmed with generating, and keeping the 00:23:47.02\00:23:52.26 gears turning on this huge conglomerate, 00:23:52.29\00:23:54.63 this huge healthcare system, this profit based system 00:23:54.66\00:23:57.87 that they have less and less time that they can even 00:23:57.90\00:24:01.10 get these words out. 00:24:01.17\00:24:02.50 It's not just their fault; it's the system. 00:24:02.54\00:24:04.97 There are many excellent physicians out there today, 00:24:05.04\00:24:08.14 many physicians I truly respect and love, 00:24:08.18\00:24:10.88 and I enjoy working with, but the vast majority is uneducated 00:24:10.91\00:24:16.69 in terms of wellness, in terms of fitness, 00:24:16.72\00:24:19.75 and in terms of prevention. 00:24:19.82\00:24:21.46 It's time to wake up. 00:24:21.49\00:24:23.66 Well, if you're anything like me, after hearing this type of 00:24:23.69\00:24:31.20 factual information, you may be saying to yourself, 00:24:31.23\00:24:34.24 Where do I go from here? 00:24:34.27\00:24:36.07 And that's why I want to share with you Newstart. 00:24:36.10\00:24:39.34 What Newstart is is eight principles; eight laws of health 00:24:39.41\00:24:43.55 that were given to us by God. 00:24:43.58\00:24:45.68 And these eight laws of health, they are not only effective 00:24:45.71\00:24:49.82 in aiding us to maintain good health, but they are just as 00:24:49.85\00:24:54.26 effective in aiding us to combat disease, or any healthcare 00:24:54.29\00:24:58.63 issues that we may be faced with. 00:24:58.66\00:25:00.96 So get a pen and paper, because here they are: 00:25:00.96\00:25:03.26 Law 1. Nutrition: The vegetarian diet is the best way to lose 00:25:03.33\00:25:09.74 weight and to keep it off. 00:25:09.77\00:25:11.24 It improves health, decreases disease, promotes longer life, 00:25:11.27\00:25:15.54 and it is more economical. 00:25:15.58\00:25:18.01 Eating generous amounts of whole plant based 00:25:18.05\00:25:20.92 foods is good for us. 00:25:20.95\00:25:22.42 Law 2. Exercise: Now this is very important for physical 00:25:22.45\00:25:27.79 and mental health as well. 00:25:27.82\00:25:29.82 Exercise lowers the heart rate, and the blood pressure. 00:25:29.89\00:25:32.89 It controls appetite, it burns up unwanted fats, 00:25:32.93\00:25:36.60 and it increases the blood circulation, 00:25:36.63\00:25:38.90 and the oxygen intake, and of course it improves muscle tone. 00:25:38.93\00:25:43.47 We need at least 45 to 60 minutes of 00:25:43.51\00:25:46.71 daily aerobic exercise. 00:25:46.74\00:25:48.38 Law 3. Water: Your blood is about 90% water, 00:25:48.41\00:25:52.75 and it carries nutrients to and from the cells. 00:25:52.78\00:25:57.05 The kidneys are dependent upon having adequate water so they 00:25:57.09\00:26:01.56 can filter out waste products. 00:26:01.62\00:26:03.49 Many times common constipation, headaches, and even backaches 00:26:03.53\00:26:08.60 can be relieved simply by drinking sufficient water. 00:26:08.63\00:26:12.93 We need at least 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water per day. 00:26:12.97\00:26:19.14 Law 4. Sunshine: One of the most healing agents 00:26:19.17\00:26:23.95 of nature is the sun. 00:26:23.98\00:26:25.75 Sunshine forms vitamin D in the skin. 00:26:25.78\00:26:28.22 It destroys bacteria and viruses. 00:26:28.28\00:26:30.75 It increases available white blood cells, 00:26:30.79\00:26:33.32 lowers blood pressure, and lowers cholesterol and fat 00:26:33.36\00:26:37.13 levels in the blood. 00:26:37.16\00:26:38.59 Getting regular exposure to early morning, or late afternoon 00:26:38.63\00:26:43.00 sunlight, while avoiding over exposure to intense sunlight, 00:26:43.03\00:26:47.24 and burning is great for our overall health. 00:26:47.27\00:26:50.81 Law 5.
