That dragon, and that
woman that we're looking at in

Revelation 12:17, are symbolic
of two different entities.

According to Revelation
12:9, the dragon is a symbol

of the Devil, for we are told
there: And that great dragon,

that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan,

which deceiveth the whole world:
he was cast out into the earth,

and his angels
were cast out with him.

And that woman is symbolic of
God's people, or God's Church.

We are told this in the
book of Jeremiah 6:2 which says:

I have likened the
daughter of Zion unto a comely

and delicate woman.

Then in Isaiah 51:16, at
the very end of that verse

we are told: and say
unto Zion, Thou art my people.

Zion is a symbol
of the people of God.

And in Jeremiah 6:2 God
has likened Zion to a comely

and delicate woman.

So what we're looking at in
Revelation 12:17 is the Devil

people, or God's Church,

and he is going to make war
with the remnant of her seed,

because they keep
the commandments of God,

testimony of Jesus Christ.

There is a movement by the Devil
to make war with God's people

because they
uphold His commandments,

and they uphold the
testimony, the faith,

the Spirit of Prophecy
concerning Jesus Christ,

But did you realize that
the Bible gives another title

to Satan other than the dragon?

that God is giving us insight
into how Satan is carrying out

his movement of warfare against
God's people in these last days.

about that old serpent

The Bible tells us: But
I fear, lest by any means,

as the serpent beguiled
Eve through his subtlety,

so your minds should be
corrupted from the simplicity

The Bible is warning
us that we are in danger

of being corrupted.

the simplicity of Christ Jesus

beguiling of the Devil,

which he utilized against
Eve in the garden of Eden,

to draw her out in
rebellion against God

by disobeying His
commandments. Wow!

Now, the question is, what was
the method that the Devil used

to seduce Eve into
disobeying God's commandment?

Well, we don't need to
scratch our heads on this one.

All we need to do is go back to
the book of Genesis in the Bible

and we'll find all the
information that we need.

In Genesis 3:1 the Bible tells
us: Now the serpent was more

subtle than any
beast of the field

which the Lord God had made.

the woman, Yea, hath God said,

Now let's take a look, starting
back at verse 1 at all of this

methodology that he follows

to draw people out of
their relationship with God,

against the King of kings,

Starting at verse
1, the Bible tells us:

1. The Devil will use the most
subtle method by which he can

promote his deception.

The deception
will not come overtly.

The deception
will come covertly.

2. The Devil will use the most
attractive means that he can

to allure you
into this deception.

What most people don't
realize is that prior to sin,

the serpent was one of
the most beautiful creatures

which God created.

As a matter of fact, this
creature had the ability to fly.

currently go along upon their

bellies, and eat the dust of the
ground, is because God Himself

upon the serpent in the

Because it was used
as a medium by the Devil

Satan will always
mingle subtlety with great

attractiveness to seduce
people into his net of lies.

time you go to the mall clothing

you sit down in front of the

your television program

or to play video games,

to look at who knows?

Remember this: the Devil
will always make it extremely

attractive when you're listening
to your favorite genre of music,

or watching
your favorite videos,

or playing your favorite games.

It will be so attractive!

But this is because nine times
out of ten this is a medium,

a vehicle by which the Devil
is using to introduce into your

hearts principles of death.

And that is a fact.

Point 3. Notice that the very
first words which were spoken

by the serpent, or by
Satan to Eve; they were framed

within a question,
and this question was:

Now this wasn't some haphazard
question that the Devil just

threw out there hoping that
Eve would give a good response.

We're talking about one of the
most brilliant intellects that

are within existence.

The mind of Satan is only
superseded by the intelligence

in the mind of Eve.

Questions like, why is it that
God said we could eat of every

tree except for this one tree?

What's so special
about this one tree?

Is there something that God
is trying to hold back from me?

These were the types of
questions that the Devil desired

to be conjured up in the mind
of Eve so that he would have the

opportunity to
answer these questions

with his deceptive lies.

And falling for the seduction
of the Devil, Eve responded:

Now in that one statement
is a multitude of deceptions.

Deception 1. Satan insinuated
to Eve that God was a liar.

Because it was God that told
Eve that if she ate from the
00:10:50.51\00:10:55.48
tree she would die.

Deception 2. Satan insinuated
to Eve that God didn't love her.

Because only someone that
doesn't love you tells you lies.

And Deception 3. Is a deception
that is still presently being

perpetuated in our
present society by television,

by magazines, by books,
by movies, even by churches.

And this deception is that
man possesses an immortal soul.

This belief that man possesses
an immortal soul is the very

foundation belief system
of all spiritualist movements.

The Bible teaches that the only
being that is within existence

currently that possesses
immortality is God Himself.

We are told this in the book
of 1 Timothy 6:16, Who only hath

immortality, dwelling in the

unto; whom no man hath seen,

According to the Bible, God who
dwells in light unapproachable,

the only being that possesses

a life of faith in the power of

accept Jesus Christ as our Lord

and Savior, and ask Him for the
power of His Holy Spirit so that

we can have the ability to

we are seeking
for glory, and honor,

And the Devil has been
deceiving people all the way

from the garden of Eden
into believing that they already

possess this gift, which God
will only give to those who live

in loving obedience to Him.

But back at the book of
Genesis 3, starting at verse 4,

Did you realize that Satan
insinuated to Eve that her eyes

were currently closed, because
she was living in obedience

to God's commandment?

Remember he said if she ate from
the tree, which is to disobey

her eyes would be opened.

And, by the way, he could
have been talking about the eyes

that were on her face, because
he knew that Eve could see him,

fruit that he was trying to

Well, the Bible gives us
information on this in the book

Here in Matthew 6 we are being
shown that the eye can be used

in the Bible as a
symbol of the human intellect;

the mental faculties.

use our literal eyes to direct

scenario is found within the

her interaction with the serpent

now sees it as good for food.

these new thoughts from?
