00:49 Alright everybody, I have a question for you. 00:52 How important is entertainment in your personal life? 00:57 Now, the reason why I asked you this particular question is, 01:01 because over the course of the last few months I've received 01:06 this very same question from thousands of individuals 01:10 all throughout the world. 01:11 And I'm talking about thousands of text messages, and e-mails, 01:15 even phone calls in the very middle of the night. 01:19 It's obvious to me people are truly concerned about what 01:23 role of importance entertainment should play within their 01:26 personal lives as well as in the lives of their family members. 01:29 And they want to know whether or not entertainment should hold 01:33 any role of significance whatsoever 01:35 within their households. 01:37 When we look out into society, and I'm not just speaking of 01:41 here within the United States of America, 01:43 I'm talking about worldwide. 01:47 It can be seen clearly that the younger generation, 01:50 the great majority, are devoting an overwhelming amount of time 01:55 and attention to being engrossed within some 01:58 form of entertainment. 02:00 And this whole phenomena of being wrapped up 02:03 in entertainment; it's not solely isolated to the 02:07 younger generation. 02:08 Let's be honest everyone, the older generation as well have 02:13 been overtaken with this craze of entertainment; 02:17 the love of entertainment, the very presence of entertainment. 02:21 It is pervading every aspect of our society. 02:26 And especially can we see this within our inner cities, 02:30 and now, with the technological explosion that is taking place, 02:35 giving us devices like iPads, and iPods, laptop computers, 02:40 and Smartphone's, which pretty much have the same capabilities 02:44 that our laptops have. 02:45 We now have readily at our disposal gadgets that we can 02:50 wear on our wrists, place within our pockets, 02:53 or ladies, you can just drop them right 02:55 inside of your handbags. 02:56 And we can pull them out in almost any given situation, 03:01 and almost at any given point of time to satisfy our addiction 03:07 with entertainment. 03:09 Now tell me, is there a problem with this? 03:13 And if there is a problem, why is this a problem? 03:17 Well, to get to the heart of this issue, and to get a very 03:22 real time perspective of it, I decided to go out into the 03:27 public and speak with everyone that I came into contact with. 03:30 And that's exactly what I did. 03:32 And I asked each person two questions: 03:35 Question number one was about entertainment, of course. 03:39 And then question number two was dealing with one of the greatest 03:44 moral standards that are within existence. 03:48 And then to make the scenario that much more interesting 03:50 for those people that I was conversing with, 03:54 I offered to give any person that was able to get my two 03:58 questions correct, all of the money that I had in my 04:03 pocket at that time. 04:05 And the outcome was astounding. 04:08 I was shocked at the things that I heard. 04:11 But that's just my personal opinion. 04:15 Now I invite you to take a look and see for yourself. 04:19 We're asking everybody in public two questions. 04:23 You get the questions right I give you all the 04:24 money in my pocket. 04:25 Alright, I'll give it a shot. 04:28 Ha ha, I like him. 04:29 Okay, question 1. Do you know who Gucci Mane is? Yeah. 04:33 Alright. Gucci Mane just got a new tattoo. 04:36 Where is it, and what is it? 04:38 Ice cream cone on his right cheek. 04:40 Ice cream cone on his cheek with lightening coming out. 04:43 Right here. It's an ice cream cone. 04:44 On his face and it's an ice cream cone. 04:46 Ice cream cone on his face. 04:47 Ah, it's up on his right, right or left eye. 04:53 And it's an ice cream cone. 04:55 It's on his face. It's an ice cream cone. 04:57 It's ice cream on his face and it says Burrr. 04:59 Ice cream on his face. 05:01 It's on his face; an ice cream cone. 05:03 It's an ice cream cone with three ice cream scoops, 05:05 and it says Burrr. 05:07 An ice cream cone on his face. 05:08 Three, ah, an ice cream cone on his cheek. 05:11 Right cheek and what is it? an ice cream cone 05:14 with three scoops. 05:16 On his face is an ice cream cone. 05:17 It's on his face. It's an ice cream cone that says Burrr. 05:20 Ha ha ha! On his face. 05:25 It's an ice cream. 05:26 Okay you got... Give me the money! 05:28 You got it. You've got to get one more question right. 05:29 Oprah Winfrey, she started her new season this year, 05:31 and she said she was going to take everybody in her audience 05:34 to a particular place in the world. 05:35 Where is she going to take them? Australia. 05:37 Australia, was it? 05:39 Australia. You got it right. Okay. 05:40 Now question 2. Do you guys... 05:42 Ah, let's see, I've got to get a hard... 05:44 Okay, do you believe in the Ten Commandments? Yes. 05:46 Yes. The Ten Commandments, yeah. 05:48 Tell me, what is the fourth commandment 05:51 of the Ten Commandments? 05:52 You get that right, I give you all the money. 05:54 Ah, I can name about three of them. Ha ha. 05:57 Come on... only 11. 05:59 I'll give you five more seconds. 06:01 Is it, is it? Just ten seconds. 06:06 I answered the first. 06:08 I'll give you ten seconds. Gosh! 06:10 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand, 3 one thousand, 4 one thousand, 06:16 5 one thousand, 6 one thousand... I forget! 06:19 8 one thousand, 9 one thousand, Jesus is coming 1,000. 06:24 10 one thousands. You ate in the cafeteria? 06:28 I don't know. Remember the 7th... 06:32 Remember the Sabbath. 06:35 You guys, Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 06:36 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 06:38 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God:... 06:40 Keep the Sabbath day holy. 06:42 That's it. It's the fourth commandment. Yes, Sir. 06:43 I wonder why they don't keep it holy? 06:47 Ladies and gentlemen, you have now seen 06:50 and heard it for yourself. 06:52 It's an unfortunate situation, but it seems that people have 06:57 a greater knowledge of unessential information like 07:00 where in the world Ophra Winfrey's going to take 07:03 her audience on vacation with her, or what the latest tattoo 07:07 is that their favorite entertainer has received 07:10 in their face, for that matter. 07:11 It seems that people have a greater knowledge of this type 07:15 of trivial information than they do about God's 07:18 holy Ten Commandments. 07:20 I praise God that I was able to share with the majority of the 07:23 people that I came in contact with, truth filled literature 07:27 and DVD's, so that they could go home and then learn the truth, 07:31 and share the truth with their family members, 07:34 and their friends. 07:35 Because this is the information that all of us need to be 07:39 knowledgeable of, especially in these last days 07:42 in which we are now living. 07:44 And, by the way, just in case you were wondering, 07:47 this wasn't a group of atheists that I was asking 07:51 these questions to. 07:52 I spoke with over 200 people, and out of this large number 07:56 only about 10 people told me that they didn't believe in God, 08:00 neither His Ten Commandments. 08:02 But the greater majority, the greater majority professed to me 08:07 that they believed in God, they were Christians, and that they 08:10 believed in keeping all of God's Ten Commandments. 08:13 And these poor souls, they could give me more information about 08:19 entertainment trivia than they could about the law of the Lord 08:24 whom they professed to serve. 08:26 Now I know that sounds like a hard statement, 08:30 but like I said to you earlier, you have now seen 08:33 and heard it for yourself. 08:36 This is the harsh reality that is now plaguing our society. 08:40 And this whole situation hasn't been developed by happenstance. 08:45 This situation has been developed and set 08:48 in place by design. 08:50 And it has been designed by the engineer, 08:53 who is the enemy of all humanity. 08:56 You see, the devil well knows that if he can keep our minds 09:00 entranced with entertainment, or any other device, 09:04 for that matter, that will pin up our time and attention, 09:07 he can use this as a means to divert us from obtaining the 09:12 preparation that we all so greatly need to be able to 09:17 face the crisis which is right before us. 09:19 And if you don't know what crisis I'm speaking of, please 09:23 pay close attention, because this is extremely important. 09:28 The Bible tells us in the book of Revelation 7:1, 09:33 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four 09:38 corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, 09:41 that the wind should not blow on the earth, 09:43 nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 09:46 And I saw another angel ascending from the east 09:50 having the seal of the living God: 09:52 and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom 09:57 it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, 10:00 Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have 10:05 sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 10:10 Ladies and gentlemen, as you are watching this program 10:14 God has sent as sentinels four angels at the four corners of 10:19 of planet Earth, and their mission is to 10:22 hold back the winds. 10:24 We are told within the book of Proverbs 1:27, that these winds 10:29 are symbolic of destruction. 10:32 These angels are holding back destruction from touching down 10:36 on planet Earth, bringing calamity 10:39 to the entire human race. 10:40 But they will only hold this position of great authority, 10:45 which God Himself has commissioned unto them, 10:47 for a probationary period of time. 10:50 And we know this for a certainty because the Bible clearly tells 10:55 in Revelation 7:3 that the angel that ascended from the East, 11:00 which had within it's possession the seal of the living God, 11:03 he cried unto other four angels, Hurt not the earth, 11:07 neither the sea, nor the trees, till, till we have sealed the 11:13 servants of our God in their foreheads. 11:18 This lets us know that when the seal of the living God is placed 11:22 within the foreheads of the servants of God, 11:25 then and only then, will God allow the angels to let 11:29 the winds loose, and destruction will follow. 11:32 Don't you see how important it is that all of us know exactly 11:37 what this seal of the living God is? 11:39 Because only those that receive this seal within their foreheads 11:44 will be protected when calamity comes upon our world. 11:48 The Bible tells us that this seal of the living God 11:51 must be placed within the foreheads of His servants. 11:54 This is highly symbolic. 11:56 You see, within the forehead is the frontal lobe of the brain. 11:59 Within the frontal lobe is where the reasoning, and the judgment 12:03 processes take place. 12:05 Within the frontal lobe is where character formation takes place. 12:09 God is seeking to seal something important up within the 12:13 character of His servants before He can safely allow destruction 12:18 to come upon this world. 12:19 Don't you want to know what God wants to seal 12:22 within your character? 12:24 Well, the Bible will give us all the answers. 12:26 We are told within the book of Isaiah 8:16, 12:31 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. 12:37 God desires to seal His law within the hearts, 12:41 within the minds, within the characters of His servants. 12:45 You see, many people profess that they are servants of God. 12:48 Many people profess to be Christians. 12:51 And as you saw earlier, many people profess that they believe 12:54 in God's commandments. 12:55 But how many people actually have God's laws sealed 13:00 within their characters? 13:01 God knows that if He can seal His law within the character of 13:06 human beings, a radical transformation will take place 13:10 within their lives. 13:12 That's exactly what the Bible teaches in the book of 13:15 Psalm 19:7. We are told there the law of the Lord is perfect, 13:21 converting the soul. 13:23 When the law of God can be placed within our characters 13:27 it will convert us into a new type of creature; 13:30 a new type of human being. 13:32 What type of human being is this? 13:34 The Bible will let us know in the book of Psalm 119:142. 13:39 We are told there, Thy righteousness is an everlasting 13:44 righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 13:48 When God can seal His law within our characters, we will become 13:53 converted, transformed into human beings of truth; 13:58 people that will speak the truth, 14:00 people that will be kind, loving, and just. 14:04 We will be creatures of truth when God can seal His law 14:08 within our characters. 14:11 And don't you want to be this type of creature? 14:14 See the Bible tells us in Psalm 40:8, I delight to do thy will, 14:19 O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. 14:24 See, God knows that if He can place His law within our 14:27 characters we will find delight in Him, 14:29 and not in entertainment, not in the music of this world, 14:33 not in the fashions of this world. 14:35 We will find our delight in serving God, 14:38 and in being obedient; in being creatures of truth. 14:44 And when this type of radical transformation can take place 14:47 within our lives, we will be just like Jesus Christ Himself. 14:53 Because the Bible tells us in the book of John 14:6, And Jesus 14:58 saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: 15:04 no man cometh unto the Father but by Me. 15:08 When God can place His law of truth within our character, 15:12 we will be converted into creatures of truth; 15:14 meaning we will be just like Jesus, who is the very 15:18 embodiment of truth itself. 15:21 Awesome, isn't it? 15:23 And God is looking for human beings that He can make just 15:27 like Jesus before He will allow the winds of destruction 15:31 to be let loose on planet Earth. 15:33 But you might be out there saying to me right now, 15:36 Well, nobody can keep God's law. 15:38 Because the Bible tells us in the book of Romans 7:14, 15:42 For we know that the law is spiritual: 15:45 but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15:47 Doesn't the Bible teach us in the book of Romans 8, 15:50 starting at verse 7, For the carnal mind is enmity against 15:54 God: for it is not subject to the law of God, 15:56 neither indeed can be. 15:58 Yes, my friend. You're right. 16:00 It is impossible for the carnal man to keep God's spiritual 16:04 law holy in his own strength. 16:06 That is why we need the power of the living God. 16:10 Remember, it's called the seal of the living God. 16:14 Question: who is the living God? 16:17 As you know, the Bible has the answer. 16:20 In the book of Jeremiah 10:10 we are told, 16:24 the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, 16:29 and eternal king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, 16:33 and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. 16:37 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the 16:41 heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, 16:44 and from under these heavens. 16:46 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established 16:50 the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens 16:53 by his discretion. 16:55 The God that created the heavens and the earth, 16:58 and all that in them is, according to Jeremiah 10:10, 17:02 He is the living God, the God that is 17:05 the Creator of all things. 17:07 Well, who is this Creator of all things that is the living God? 17:10 The Bible gives us more answers in the book of John 1, 17:14 starting at verse 1, which says, In the beginning was 17:17 the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 17:21 The same was in the beginning with God. 17:23 All things were made by him; and without him was not any 17:26 thing made that was made. 17:28 The Word is the Creator of all things that are in heaven, 17:32 that are in earth. 17:33 The Word is the living God. 17:35 The Bible tells us more about this Word in the book of 17:38 John 1:14 which says, And the Word was made flesh, 17:42 and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, 17:46 the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) 17:49 full of grace and truth. 17:52 The Word, the Creator of the heavens and earth, 17:55 is the One who came and was made flesh, and revealed to 17:59 humanity the very glory of God. 18:02 This Word is Jesus Christ Himself. 18:04 Jesus is the true and living God; the Creator of all things. 18:11 Did you know that the Bible also gives Jesus, 18:14 the living God, another title? 18:16 In the book of Mark 2:27, 28, we are told from the mouth of 18:23 Jesus Himself, The Sabbath was made for man, 18:26 and not man for the Sabbath: therefore the Son of man, 18:30 is Lord also of the Sabbath. 18:33 Jesus Christ, who is the living God, also is called, 18:37 The Lord of Sabbath. 18:39 The same Sabbath day which is spoken of in the book of 18:42 Exodus 20:8, which tells us: 19:06 the Lord made the heaven and the earth, the sea, 19:09 and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: 19:13 wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. 19:18 As we look closely at this commandment, it becomes very 19:22 obvious that the Lord of Sabbath is also the true and living God. 19:26 For it is the Lord of Sabbath that created the heaven and the 19:30 earth, the sea, and all that in them is. 19:33 And as you place your faith in this awesome creative power 19:38 that is yielded by the Lord of Sabbath, the true and living 19:42 God, Jesus Christ Himself, you will receive power to obey 19:46 all of God's Ten Commandments. 19:49 We are told in the book of Isaiah 40:28, 29, 19:55 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the eternal God 20:00 the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faintest not, 20:05 neither is weary?... 20:07 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that are without 20:10 might he increases strength. 20:13 My friend, have you ever felt as though 20:15 you wanted to give life up? 20:17 You couldn't go one more day! 20:19 Have you ever felt like you were going to faint 20:22 under the great weight of the burden and guilt of sin? 20:26 I'm here to tell you right now, Don't give up! 20:29 Don't let the enemy discourage you. 20:32 Turn your eyes by faith to the true and living God, 20:35 Jesus Christ, because He wants to give you power. 20:39 He wants to strengthen you so you can have a life of peace, 20:43 a life of joy, a life of happiness, a life of obedience, 20:47 fulfilling all of the righteous requirements of His law. 20:51 This is why Jesus Christ came and took upon Himself 20:54 sinful human flesh. 20:56 This is why Jesus died and rose again, to gain the victory over 21:01 death and sin for you. 21:03 This is why Jesus ever liveth to make intercession for us 21:07 so that we can have the power of His righteousness. 21:11 The Bible tells us in the book of Romans 8:3, For what the law 21:17 could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, 21:21 God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, 21:25 and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 21:28 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, 21:32 who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 21:37 I'm so glad that none of us have to try and live this 21:41 life in our own strength. 21:43 The true and living God not only has power to create, 21:47 the true and living God has power to re-create us 21:51 into His holy image. 21:53 And this is why the fourth commandment, 21:56 which is the Sabbath commandment, stands out above 21:59 all of the other Ten Commandments 22:01 as the seal of the living God, for it is the only commandment 22:06 that identifies who the God of the Ten Commandments is, 22:11 and that God is the true and living God. 22:15 Did you know that God gave us the Sabbath commandment 22:19 as a perpetual reminder that it is only by His creative power 22:25 that we can live lives of holiness? 22:27 The Bible tells us in the book of Ezekiel 20:12, Moreover also 22:35 I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, 22:40 that they might know that I am the Lord 22:43 that doth sanctify them. 22:45 The true and living God, the Lord of Sabbath, Jesus Christ 22:50 is our only hope of holiness. 22:53 He is our only hope of obedience to the law of God. 22:56 And it is by His strength that we can receive 23:00 the seal of the living God in our characters. 23:03 And ladies and gentlemen, we need to have this experience. 23:07 Very shortly from now the four winds will be let loose. 23:11 Destruction will come upon planet Earth. 23:14 But God has made a way for us to be sealed up so that our 23:19 salvation can never be stripped from us. 23:22 He wants us to receive His power into our lives today. 23:27 I want to encourage you, please set aside the entertainment. 23:31 Set aside the internet. 23:33 Set aside the gadgets. 23:35 Spend more time with Jesus. 23:37 Don't let the enemy distract you from gaining the experience 23:41 that will make you a recipient of the seal of the living God. 23:45 Because God is looking to seal you. 23:48 As always, this is the Forerunner. 23:51 And whether you like it or not, the truth is the truth. |
