What does it all mean?

is going to be okay.

So that's a little
bit of what it means

In fact, there's a
technical term for it

And this is the technical term,

bias or normalcy bias.

to say on this subject

I wanna go over
the three main points

that we started off our
series and as I pointed out,

message in this series of six.

the three key points

of why the story of Noah

is especially relevant

to those who are living
on the Eve of Jesus coming.

The story of Noah firstly,

clearly identifies
earth's final generation,

and that's going to become
even more clear as we go along.

Secondly, it enables
us to know and understand
00:06:25.25\00:06:28.35
how we can be ready
when the Son of Man returns.

And thirdly, it
provides instruction

on how we can prepare
others for Jesus' soon return.

These are the three key
points that I have discovered
00:06:38.86\00:06:42.00
in the story of
Noah as I've dug deep,
00:06:42.03\00:06:44.43
very deep into this story
00:06:44.47\00:06:46.57
because Jesus said it
was of extreme significance.
00:06:46.60\00:06:49.64
So let's go to
the words of Jesus
00:06:49.67\00:06:51.31
in Matthew Chapter 24.
00:06:51.34\00:06:53.58
This is our key passage, as
we've pointed out at the end
00:06:53.61\00:06:56.95
of the signs of the times
that Jesus gave in Matthew 24.
00:06:56.98\00:07:02.45
He brings the signs of the times
00:07:02.48\00:07:04.65
concerning His coming
00:07:04.69\00:07:06.22
and the destruction
of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
00:07:06.25\00:07:09.62
These two
events, He wove together
00:07:09.66\00:07:13.09
like a powerful
beautiful tapestry.
00:07:13.13\00:07:16.56
And He brings the signs
of His coming to a conclusion
00:07:16.60\00:07:21.07
with these words.
00:07:21.10\00:07:22.44
And I'm beginning in
verse 36, Matthew 24:36,
00:07:22.47\00:07:26.34
Jesus says, "But of that
day and hour no one knows,
00:07:26.37\00:07:29.34
not even the angels of
heaven, but My Father only.
00:07:29.38\00:07:32.41
But as the days of Noah were,
00:07:32.45\00:07:34.78
so also will the
coming of the Son of Man be.

For as in the
days before the flood,
00:07:37.45\00:07:39.05
they were eating and drinking,
00:07:39.09\00:07:40.42
marrying and giving in marriage,

until the day that
Noah entered the ark,

and did not know
until the flood came

and took them all away,

so also will the
coming of the Son of Man be."

Jesus, crystal clear as
it was in the days of Noah,

so it will be when He
returns and life was going on,

Now let's go to the
passage there in Luke,

we have not
only the days of Noah

described by Luke,

but he also adds
what Matthew omits.

Matthew omits the story of Lot.
00:08:16.29\00:08:19.86
But Luke includes that
00:08:19.89\00:08:22.36
as he reflects on
the words of Jesus.

So in Luke Chapter 17,

and we're picking
it up in verse 26.

"And as it was
in the days of Noah,

so it will also be in
the days of the Son of Man:

drank, they married wives,

Likewise as it was

They ate, they

but on the day that
Lot went out of Sodom,

it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven

and destroyed them all.

Even so will it be in the day

when the Son of
Man is revealed."

Now I find it
absolutely fascinating

that Jesus here in
Matthew and in Luke,

as it's recorded
by Matthew and Luke,

he does not zero
in on the violence
00:09:12.41\00:09:16.12
as we've
discovered the wickedness,
00:09:16.15\00:09:18.25
the evil, the corruption,
00:09:18.29\00:09:20.79
even the population explosion
that we discovered in Genesis.
00:09:20.82\00:09:25.36
But instead He focuses
on every day activities.

Now, is there anything
wrong with eating and drinking?

Not necessarily,
I guess it depends

what you're eating and drinking.

Is there anything
wrong with getting married?

Well, once again, do I

Well, it does matter who
you're married, doesn't it,

as we discovered the flood

was the direct
result of the sons of God,

the righteous
marrying the unrighteous,

the daughters of men.

We discovered that
in Genesis Chapter 6.

So it does make
a big difference.

wrong per se with marriage.

There's a reason, a
very important reason

on the everyday activities.

A very good reason
which we're gonna get to

given these instructions

We have been given
the example of Noah

Jesus Christ Himself

we may be prepared,

of the days of Lot

lost and destroyed.

The first thing that we discover

business as usual,

buying, building, planting,

It's interesting in Luke 17:34,

Jesus adds one more
element that Luke includes.

speaking of His coming,

two men in one bed."

let's not jump to conclusions,

like what Jesus here
is saying is exactly,

worshiping the Creator God

focusing on the here and now

the things to come.

The kingdom of this world

kingdom of this world

words here from Jesus.

about the days of Noah

And Jesus continues in
verse 31 of Luke Chapter 17.

"In that day, Jesus says,
he who is on the housetop,

and his goods are in the house,

let him not come
down and take them away.

her heart was
