Recent research has showed 00:00:27.67\00:00:29.83 a very alarming trend among our families. 00:00:29.84\00:00:34.64 Do you know how long the average father 00:00:34.65\00:00:36.46 spends with his children 00:00:36.47\00:00:37.69 in meaningful one-to-one relationships in a day? 00:00:37.70\00:00:42.03 I am not talking about when he says, 00:00:42.04\00:00:43.25 clean your teeth and wash the dishes, 00:00:43.26\00:00:45.58 not that type of talk but in meaningful 00:00:45.59\00:00:48.60 one-to-one talk with his children. 00:00:48.61\00:00:51.03 How long do you think the average father 00:00:51.04\00:00:52.95 spends with his children 00:00:52.96\00:00:54.89 in that type of communication on a daily basis? 00:00:54.90\00:00:59.23 I think you're going to be shocked 00:00:59.24\00:01:00.76 when you see 37 seconds. 00:01:00.77\00:01:05.96 That's what surveys. 00:01:05.97\00:01:07.96 I didn't do the survey 00:01:07.97\00:01:09.28 but those who have been commissioned to do the survey 00:01:09.29\00:01:12.36 have come up with 37 seconds. 00:01:12.37\00:01:14.15 Now if that amount of time is true, 00:01:14.16\00:01:17.30 no wonder we have problems in the families, 00:01:17.31\00:01:20.34 isn't that right? 00:01:20.35\00:01:22.38 No wonder we have children 00:01:22.39\00:01:23.72 who are damaged and angry. 00:01:23.73\00:01:28.35 But this problem is not only confine 00:01:28.36\00:01:30.58 between father and mother and the children, 00:01:30.59\00:01:33.46 but also between husband and wife, 00:01:33.47\00:01:37.53 because the facts are that if we've got little time 00:01:37.54\00:01:40.36 for our children, the chances 00:01:40.37\00:01:42.41 are that we've got little time for our spouse. 00:01:42.42\00:01:47.39 And because that is also true, 00:01:47.40\00:01:49.64 no wonder divorce and families are breaking up. 00:01:49.65\00:01:56.09 Because any family that is getting less and less time 00:01:56.10\00:01:59.58 for communication is finally going to break. 00:01:59.59\00:02:03.29 That's the reason why families break up, 00:02:03.30\00:02:04.97 it's lack of communication. 00:02:04.98\00:02:08.90 Recent Gallup poll shows that the average Christian 00:02:08.91\00:02:14.56 steals, lies, and cheats just as much 00:02:14.57\00:02:18.37 or nearly as much as those who don't go to church. 00:02:18.38\00:02:22.72 Now something has gone wrong 00:02:22.73\00:02:24.01 with their Christianity if that is true. 00:02:24.02\00:02:26.86 Because the facts are that if we've got little time 00:02:26.87\00:02:28.78 for our children, little time for our spouses, 00:02:28.79\00:02:32.29 the next conclusion that you would have to draw 00:02:32.30\00:02:34.27 is that we have little time for God too. 00:02:34.28\00:02:38.93 And if that's the case no wonder 00:02:38.94\00:02:40.76 there is very little difference between Christians 00:02:40.77\00:02:43.08 and those who don't go to church. 00:02:43.09\00:02:45.90 And so many parents are spending more time 00:02:45.91\00:02:48.60 getting things to supply to their children 00:02:48.61\00:02:51.19 when their children don't want so much of the things 00:02:51.20\00:02:53.70 as they want the parent's time. 00:02:53.71\00:02:58.21 And so because spend, people are spending less time 00:02:58.22\00:03:01.02 for communication, our families are breaking down. 00:03:01.03\00:03:04.36 And so we live in a very, very serious times. 00:03:04.37\00:03:08.82 Now God knew that this was going to be a problem 00:03:08.83\00:03:11.63 and that's why He gave us 00:03:11.64\00:03:13.25 one of the Ten Commandments to protect us, 00:03:13.26\00:03:16.65 so that we will have time for our children, 00:03:16.66\00:03:19.63 for our spouses, and also for God. 00:03:19.64\00:03:23.63 God gave us one of the Ten Commandments, 00:03:23.64\00:03:26.26 so that we would have time, 00:03:26.27\00:03:28.56 because God knows the inclination of these all. 00:03:28.57\00:03:33.56 And most of us are like workaholics, 00:03:33.57\00:03:35.45 you know, and we want to spend time getting, 00:03:35.46\00:03:37.73 getting, getting, getting, 00:03:37.74\00:03:39.96 and less time in meaningful communication. 00:03:39.97\00:03:43.66 So God knew that, and He gave us 00:03:43.67\00:03:45.91 one of the Ten Commandments. 00:03:45.92\00:03:49.07 It's interesting, a few years ago, 00:03:49.08\00:03:50.62 Christianity today which is one of America's big leading 00:03:50.63\00:03:53.83 evangelical magazine, sent out 00:03:53.84\00:03:55.73 a survey to many of its readers. 00:03:55.74\00:03:59.35 It wanted to test what its readers wanted answer. 00:03:59.36\00:04:05.07 So they sent out the survey. 00:04:05.08\00:04:07.06 They thought that the question that their readers 00:04:07.07\00:04:09.44 would want answered were questions like, 00:04:09.45\00:04:12.98 what about the heathen, 00:04:12.99\00:04:13.99 that they've never heard the name of Jesus, 00:04:14.00\00:04:15.62 so they're going to go to hell or can a person be sure there 00:04:15.63\00:04:19.66 that they're going to heaven, questions like that. 00:04:19.67\00:04:22.28 But they weren't the questions 00:04:22.29\00:04:23.47 that people wanted an answer too at all. 00:04:23.48\00:04:25.55 Do you know the questions that people wanted an answer to? 00:04:25.56\00:04:28.80 These readers at random, the question was, 00:04:28.81\00:04:33.07 "Should we take our Sabbath seriously?" 00:04:33.08\00:04:39.40 They got a shock, the editors of Christianity, 00:04:39.41\00:04:41.71 they got a terrific shock. 00:04:41.72\00:04:44.11 They never expected that to be the question on people's minds. 00:04:44.12\00:04:48.81 You see not too many Australians or Americans 00:04:48.82\00:04:50.91 or anybody in the world today 00:04:50.92\00:04:53.28 takes Sabbath seriously or Sunday seriously. 00:04:53.29\00:04:59.43 Because if the average person who does go to church 00:04:59.44\00:05:02.47 they may slip along to church for an hour or two 00:05:02.48\00:05:06.45 on the weekend, but the rest of the day 00:05:06.46\00:05:09.13 then they spend doing 00:05:09.14\00:05:10.17 what they didn't get time to do during the week. 00:05:10.18\00:05:14.45 Things like sport, shopping, gardening, all host of things. 00:05:14.46\00:05:19.51 And what this survey shows is that people are realizing 00:05:23.02\00:05:26.56 that there is something wrong 00:05:26.57\00:05:28.43 with their relationship with God, 00:05:28.44\00:05:30.23 something is missing. 00:05:30.24\00:05:33.05 I was interested in a Baptist preacher 00:05:33.06\00:05:35.02 by the name of Walter Chantry. 00:05:35.03\00:05:37.04 He wrote in his recent book "Call the Sabbath a Delight" 00:05:37.05\00:05:40.01 this is what he said, 00:05:40.02\00:05:41.39 "Whether or not people keep the Sabbath holy 00:05:41.40\00:05:44.43 is not an incidental or insignificant matter. 00:05:44.44\00:05:48.00 When God issued this fourth commandment, 00:05:48.01\00:05:50.11 He understood humanity much better than we do. 00:05:50.12\00:05:52.97 Failure to practice this moral law is a root cause 00:05:52.98\00:05:56.29 of moral decline, social disorder, 00:05:56.30\00:05:58.74 and widespread human suffering. 00:05:58.75\00:06:01.73 No successful recovery of mankind can be devised 00:06:01.74\00:06:05.18 without the inclusion 00:06:05.19\00:06:06.67 of the fourth commandment in its remedy." 00:06:06.68\00:06:10.76 And many others have been saying very similar things. 00:06:10.77\00:06:12.91 He went on to say, "It is impossible 00:06:12.92\00:06:15.09 to conceive of any measure more perfectly designed 00:06:15.10\00:06:18.13 than Sabbath to bring everlasting blessings 00:06:18.14\00:06:20.91 to individual families, churches, and communities. 00:06:20.92\00:06:24.88 Spiritual men bemoan the lack of time 00:06:24.89\00:06:27.66 to pray and to read and to worship 00:06:27.67\00:06:30.15 and witness, and teach their children. 00:06:30.16\00:06:32.75 God in His wisdom and grace has provided 00:06:32.76\00:06:35.36 just such time for these very wishes of the godly 00:06:35.37\00:06:39.17 by commanding that a day in each seven be set aside, 00:06:39.18\00:06:42.91 devoted to the Lord." 00:06:42.92\00:06:45.37 Now I happen to agree 00:06:45.38\00:06:46.50 with the Baptist preacher Walter Chantry? 00:06:46.51\00:06:48.78 I think he has made a very, very good point 00:06:48.79\00:06:51.74 that the reason God gave us the Sabbath 00:06:51.75\00:06:54.38 is so that we would have time for one another, 00:06:54.39\00:06:57.33 time for our families, time for our children, 00:06:57.34\00:07:00.67 time for one another and also time for God. 00:07:00.68\00:07:05.67 God knew that, that's why He gave us 00:07:05.68\00:07:08.09 the Sabbath Commandment, and of course, 00:07:08.10\00:07:09.76 when the Sabbath Commandment is thought about, 00:07:09.77\00:07:12.32 people obviously ask questions like, 00:07:12.33\00:07:15.15 well, which day is the Sabbath. 00:07:15.16\00:07:17.85 That's a good question actually. 00:07:17.86\00:07:20.98 Has the Sabbath being changed? 00:07:20.99\00:07:25.13 Did the apostles change the Sabbath? 00:07:25.14\00:07:27.29 These are all legitimate questions. 00:07:27.30\00:07:29.91 And tonight I thought 00:07:29.92\00:07:31.01 that we would have a look at this very question, 00:07:31.02\00:07:33.84 because if it is so important 00:07:33.85\00:07:36.28 that we have time for one another and time for God, 00:07:36.29\00:07:40.95 then this is a question that we need 00:07:40.96\00:07:42.68 to have very clearly sorted out in our minds, 00:07:42.69\00:07:47.10 and I would like you to take your Bibles tonight 00:07:47.11\00:07:49.10 and we'll open into Exodus Chapter 20. 00:07:49.11\00:07:51.90 This is the Ten Commandments of the beginning of the Bible, 00:07:51.91\00:07:54.26 Exodus Chapter 20, 00:07:54.27\00:07:55.92 and I want you to notice the Fourth Commandment. 00:07:55.93\00:07:58.79 I'm sure many of you will remember this as we read it. 00:07:58.80\00:08:03.07 Exodus Chapter 20 and verse 8. 00:08:03.08\00:08:07.31 And you've got the page there 00:08:07.32\00:08:08.67 on your outline and on the screen. 00:08:08.68\00:08:11.14 Exodus Chapter 20 and verse 8, it says, 00:08:11.15\00:08:14.09 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 00:08:14.10\00:08:18.09 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 00:08:18.10\00:08:21.44 but the seventh day is the Sabbath 00:08:21.45\00:08:24.34 of the Lord your God. 00:08:24.35\00:08:26.18 In it you shall do no work, you, nor your son, 00:08:26.19\00:08:29.71 nor your daughter, nor your male servant, 00:08:29.72\00:08:31.97 nor your female servant, nor your cattle, 00:08:31.98\00:08:34.63 nor your stranger who is within your gates. 00:08:34.64\00:08:37.36 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, 00:08:37.37\00:08:41.19 the sea, and all that is in them, 00:08:41.20\00:08:42.55 and rested the seventh day. 00:08:42.56\00:08:44.33 Therefore the Lord blessed 00:08:44.34\00:08:45.59 the Sabbath day and hallowed it." 00:08:45.60\00:08:49.41 So right back in the beginning, 00:08:49.42\00:08:52.19 right there in the very heart of the Ten Commandments, 00:08:52.20\00:08:54.92 God set aside one day, 00:08:54.93\00:08:58.96 a day that we ought to refrain from doing all the things 00:08:58.97\00:09:01.81 that we do during the week. 00:09:01.82\00:09:04.29 One day for God, one day for our families, 00:09:04.30\00:09:08.27 so that we can have meaningful relationships 00:09:08.28\00:09:11.80 with God and with one another. 00:09:11.81\00:09:14.85 And you remember that when we were talking about creation, 00:09:14.86\00:09:19.08 you know, God wants us never ever to forget the creation. 00:09:19.09\00:09:22.77 That's why He has given to us the Sabbath, 00:09:22.78\00:09:25.01 because the Sabbath as we have just read, 00:09:25.02\00:09:27.99 reminds us of what great event? Creation. 00:09:28.00\00:09:32.23 It says, for in six days the Lord made 00:09:32.24\00:09:34.04 the heavens and the earth and rested on the seventh, 00:09:34.05\00:09:36.47 and that's the basis for God asking us to work for six days 00:09:36.48\00:09:41.40 and then rest on the seventh. 00:09:41.41\00:09:43.41 And every Sabbath is a reminder of creation. 00:09:43.42\00:09:48.58 It's a memorial of creation. 00:09:48.59\00:09:52.69 And when you think about it that every person 00:09:52.70\00:09:54.38 in the world had kept the Sabbath 00:09:54.39\00:09:56.29 as God intended to be kept, 00:09:56.30\00:09:58.41 there wouldn't be an atheist, an infidel, 00:09:58.42\00:10:01.53 or an agnostic in the world today. Is that right? 00:10:01.54\00:10:04.95 They couldn't be, because if you celebrate 00:10:04.96\00:10:07.32 the Sabbath week by week, you are saying 00:10:07.33\00:10:10.11 that you believe in God as the creator, 00:10:10.12\00:10:13.65 because that's what the Sabbath stands for, 00:10:13.66\00:10:15.96 the creatorship of Jesus Christ. 00:10:15.97\00:10:20.56 And its because people have forgotten 00:10:20.57\00:10:23.26 and it's interesting that the word 00:10:23.27\00:10:25.13 that God uses at the beginning 00:10:25.14\00:10:26.78 of the Fourth Commandment is the word "Remember" 00:10:26.79\00:10:31.21 and that's the very thing that people have not done, 00:10:31.22\00:10:33.88 they've forgotten. 00:10:33.89\00:10:35.98 And that's why there is a dispute today 00:10:35.99\00:10:38.33 about the Sabbath, because they've forgotten it. 00:10:38.34\00:10:42.65 And you remember last time that we were together, 00:10:42.66\00:10:46.99 how those three messages in Revelation, 00:10:47.00\00:10:50.68 the heart of the Book of Revelation. 00:10:50.69\00:10:52.47 The first message says that we ought to worship Him 00:10:52.48\00:10:55.38 who made the heavens and the earth, 00:10:55.39\00:10:58.52 that's part of that First Angel's Message. 00:10:58.53\00:11:03.05 God wants us never to forget, 00:11:03.06\00:11:04.55 because He knew that in the last days, 00:11:04.56\00:11:06.58 there was going to be an issue 00:11:06.59\00:11:08.09 over worshipping God as the creator. 00:11:08.10\00:11:11.94 And I don't have to remind anybody 00:11:11.95\00:11:13.78 that that is a big issue today, 00:11:13.79\00:11:16.23 because many Christians no longer believe 00:11:16.24\00:11:18.64 that God actually made the world in six days 00:11:18.65\00:11:21.01 and rested on the seventh. 00:11:21.02\00:11:25.25 And yet the Sabbath is there to remind us 00:11:25.26\00:11:27.83 of that wonderful, wonderful event. 00:11:27.84\00:11:30.22 Let me read you another verse in the book of Psalms 00:11:30.23\00:11:32.90 in the middle of the Bible, Psalm 111. 00:11:32.91\00:11:36.51 This is an interesting verse 00:11:36.52\00:11:38.45 where the Psalms talks about God's works. 00:11:38.46\00:11:41.43 Psalm 111, and verse 3. 00:11:41.44\00:11:46.64 And the Psalms says this, 00:11:46.65\00:11:47.99 "His work is honorable and glorious, 00:11:48.00\00:11:50.48 and His righteousness endures forever. 00:11:50.49\00:11:53.43 He has made His wonderful works to be" what? 00:11:53.44\00:11:57.20 "Remembered" God never wants us 00:11:57.21\00:12:00.12 to forget His wonderful works. 00:12:00.13\00:12:03.07 Now you will remember 00:12:03.08\00:12:04.08 that God made the world in six days 00:12:04.09\00:12:07.26 and rested on the seventh. 00:12:07.27\00:12:08.37 Do you remember what God made on the first day? 00:12:08.38\00:12:13.21 Yes, light. The second day, He made? 00:12:13.22\00:12:16.46 The firmament. The third day what did God made? 00:12:16.47\00:12:21.13 Yes, He...He separated the land from the sea. 00:12:21.14\00:12:25.21 The fourth day, He made the...? 00:12:25.22\00:12:28.23 Sun, moon, and stars. 00:12:28.24\00:12:30.74 Also the Bible says, the fifth day, 00:12:30.75\00:12:32.80 God made? Birds and fish. 00:12:32.81\00:12:37.14 Six day, He made? Man. 00:12:37.15\00:12:40.94 By the way, He made woman too you know. 00:12:40.95\00:12:44.04 You know, sometimes there're men 00:12:44.05\00:12:45.48 who think that woman was an afterthought. 00:12:45.49\00:12:48.61 But that's not true, is it? 00:12:48.62\00:12:50.10 In fact, I had a lady come to me once after meeting 00:12:50.11\00:12:52.61 like this and she said, you know, 00:12:52.62\00:12:54.10 when God made Adam, He was very, very pleased 00:12:54.11\00:12:57.30 with what He have done, very pleased. 00:12:57.31\00:13:01.76 But when He made Eve, He perfected the art. 00:13:01.77\00:13:08.20 Well, that's the woman's perspective, 00:13:08.21\00:13:10.28 but nevertheless probably very true. 00:13:10.29\00:13:13.43 At least we men think it is anyway. 00:13:13.44\00:13:16.06 Yes, perfected the art. 00:13:16.07\00:13:17.56 So He not only made the higher animals, 00:13:17.57\00:13:20.02 He also made man and woman on the sixth day. 00:13:20.03\00:13:24.79 Then on the seventh day, I want you to notice what God made 00:13:24.80\00:13:28.37 because He did three things on the seventh day 00:13:28.38\00:13:32.10 that He never did on any other day of the week. 00:13:32.11\00:13:33.95 Just come back to Genesis Chapter 2. 00:13:33.96\00:13:36.24 With me Genesis Chapter 2, 00:13:36.25\00:13:37.85 right at the very beginning, and notice verse 1. 00:13:37.86\00:13:41.34 Genesis Chapter 2 and verse 1. 00:13:41.35\00:13:47.46 This is the end of creation week, and God says, 00:13:47.47\00:13:50.59 "Thus the heavens and the earth, 00:13:50.60\00:13:52.23 and all the host of them, were finished. 00:13:52.24\00:13:55.56 And on the seventh day God ended His work 00:13:55.57\00:13:58.47 which He had done, 00:13:58.48\00:13:59.73 and He rested on the seventh day 00:13:59.74\00:14:02.43 from all His work which He had done. 00:14:02.44\00:14:05.62 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, 00:14:05.63\00:14:11.74 because in it He rested from all His work 00:14:11.75\00:14:14.89 which God had created and made." 00:14:14.90\00:14:17.98 Now the Bible says that God did three things 00:14:17.99\00:14:22.17 on the seventh day that He never 00:14:22.18\00:14:23.83 did on any other day of the week. 00:14:23.84\00:14:25.83 The first thing the Bible says 00:14:25.84\00:14:27.63 that God did is that He rested on the seventh day. 00:14:27.64\00:14:31.62 So let's put a bit of rest into the seventh day, 00:14:31.63\00:14:36.13 and you can see now altogether 00:14:36.14\00:14:38.40 that the seventh day is looking a lot different 00:14:38.41\00:14:40.68 to every other day of the week, isn't that right? 00:14:40.69\00:14:43.68 Because God didn't rest on the first day, 00:14:43.69\00:14:46.73 second day, third day, fourth day, 00:14:46.74\00:14:48.58 fifth day, sixth day or seventh day. 00:14:48.59\00:14:51.18 Oh, oh, oh the sixth day 00:14:51.19\00:14:52.22 but He did rest on the seventh day. 00:14:52.23\00:14:55.82 But after He rested on the day, what does the Bible say, 00:14:55.83\00:14:58.43 He did next? He blessed the day. 00:14:58.44\00:15:02.30 So let's put a bit of blessing into the day, 00:15:02.31\00:15:04.29 it will sweeten it up. 00:15:04.30\00:15:07.99 So now God has done two things on the seventh day 00:15:08.00\00:15:10.70 that He never did on any other day of the week. 00:15:10.71\00:15:12.57 He rested, then blessed the day. 00:15:12.58\00:15:17.39 But not only did He rest and blessed the day, 00:15:17.40\00:15:19.72 what does the Bible say, He did next? 00:15:19.73\00:15:22.46 Yes, He sanctified it. 00:15:22.47\00:15:23.89 So let's put a bit of sanctification into the day. 00:15:23.90\00:15:27.06 I must admit it goes better when you take the top off. 00:15:33.74\00:15:36.81 We will try this time. 00:15:40.88\00:15:42.43 You see God did three things on the seventh day 00:15:46.44\00:15:51.09 that He never did on any other day of the week. 00:15:51.10\00:15:53.46 He rested, He blessed, 00:15:53.47\00:15:55.90 and He sanctified the seventh day. Steve! 00:15:55.91\00:15:59.69 Where is my friend Steve? 00:15:59.70\00:16:02.05 Oh, here he is. 00:16:02.06\00:16:03.74 Steve, the Bible says that the Sabbath is a delight. 00:16:03.75\00:16:09.41 Tell me is the Sabbath a delight? 00:16:09.42\00:16:11.68 Ah, come on, don't drink it all. 00:16:11.69\00:16:15.75 Actually we all ought to be keeping the Sabbath 00:16:15.76\00:16:18.69 because God made the Sabbath for everybody. 00:16:18.70\00:16:20.54 Thank you, Steve. 00:16:20.55\00:16:21.63 You see God did three things on the seventh day 00:16:21.64\00:16:26.49 that He never did on any other day of the week. 00:16:26.50\00:16:28.75 He rested, He blessed, 00:16:28.76\00:16:32.23 and He sanctified the seventh day. 00:16:32.24\00:16:36.97 In fact, it's every interesting that, 00:16:36.98\00:16:39.71 that word rest that's translated 00:16:39.72\00:16:42.87 in our Bible as "Rest" 00:16:42.88\00:16:44.70 when God rested on the seventh day. 00:16:44.71\00:16:47.28 That's where we get our English word Sabbath from 00:16:47.29\00:16:50.24 because the word rest simply means Sabbath. 00:16:50.25\00:16:53.84 In other words, Jesus Sabbath on the seventh day 00:16:53.85\00:16:57.39 or He rested because that means the same thing. 00:16:57.40\00:17:01.09 And as long as facts are facts, 00:17:01.10\00:17:04.66 you can never alter the simple fact 00:17:04.67\00:17:06.98 that Jesus rested on the seventh day. 00:17:06.99\00:17:10.76 You can't change a fact which is a fact. 00:17:10.77\00:17:13.89 Let me illustrate. I was born on December 24. 00:17:13.90\00:17:18.83 Now I say to parents, if you want to inflict 00:17:18.84\00:17:20.92 the terrible affliction upon any child have them 00:17:20.93\00:17:24.71 born on December 24 or I guess 25 for that matter too. 00:17:24.72\00:17:30.79 Now those of you who are not born on December 24 or 25 00:17:30.80\00:17:34.84 don't understand the problem, 00:17:34.85\00:17:36.14 but let me explain to you what it is. 00:17:36.15\00:17:39.28 You see when I was growing up as a child, 00:17:39.29\00:17:41.08 my parents and family would say to me, 00:17:41.09\00:17:43.36 "Well, Geoff, it is your birthday." 00:17:43.37\00:17:44.69 And I was always happy that they remembered 00:17:44.70\00:17:46.60 that it was my birthday. 00:17:46.61\00:17:48.80 But then they said, "But" you know when people say, 00:17:48.81\00:17:52.90 "But" you know something is going to come out 00:17:52.91\00:17:55.20 to qualify what they just said. 00:17:55.21\00:17:56.70 But they said, "It's also Christmas, 00:17:56.71\00:18:00.48 and we want you to understand that this gift 00:18:00.49\00:18:02.56 that we're going to give you is for both 00:18:02.57\00:18:04.21 your birthday and for Christmas." 00:18:04.22\00:18:08.17 So I hated being born at that time 00:18:08.18\00:18:11.01 because I only seem to get half the number of gifts 00:18:11.02\00:18:13.85 that my brother and sister got whose birthday were well 00:18:13.86\00:18:17.06 and truly away from Christmas. 00:18:17.07\00:18:20.13 So I make a decision, and the decision is this 00:18:20.14\00:18:22.74 that I am no longer going to be born on December 24. 00:18:22.75\00:18:26.24 I am going to be born on June 24. 00:18:26.25\00:18:29.44 Get us far away from Christmas as I possibly can. 00:18:29.45\00:18:33.36 Can I change my birthday to June 24? No. 00:18:33.37\00:18:38.97 Because as long as facts are facts 00:18:38.98\00:18:41.58 I was born on that day 00:18:41.59\00:18:43.64 and you can't change the fact which is a fact. 00:18:43.65\00:18:47.88 And I say very reverently today, very reverently, 00:18:47.89\00:18:53.03 even God himself can't change the Sabbath, 00:18:53.04\00:18:57.37 because you cannot change a fact which is a fact. 00:18:57.38\00:19:02.55 Now if God wants to rest on another day, 00:19:02.56\00:19:05.93 of course, He can, that's His prerogative, isn't it? 00:19:05.94\00:19:09.56 If He chooses to, that's fine. 00:19:09.57\00:19:13.16 But if He has chosen to rest on another day, 00:19:13.17\00:19:16.22 obviously He will tell us, 00:19:16.23\00:19:19.35 and then God would have two days. 00:19:19.36\00:19:23.23 But as long as facts are facts, 00:19:23.24\00:19:24.87 Jesus rested on that day 00:19:24.88\00:19:27.13 and you can't change something which happened, 00:19:27.14\00:19:31.94 and Jesus rested on that seventh day. 00:19:31.95\00:19:37.45 But not this Bible say that Jesus rested on that day. 00:19:37.46\00:19:42.37 What does it say, He did next? 00:19:42.38\00:19:43.84 He blessed the seventh day. 00:19:43.85\00:19:47.94 Now the blessing of God, 00:19:47.95\00:19:49.00 I want to tell you accounts for something. 00:19:49.01\00:19:50.93 You know as Christians we pray 00:19:50.94\00:19:52.89 that God will bless us, isn't that right? 00:19:52.90\00:19:55.75 And rightly, that's a good prayer to pray by the way. 00:19:55.76\00:19:57.97 We need, we crave the blessing of God upon our lives. 00:19:57.98\00:20:01.04 You might remember the story of Jacob 00:20:01.05\00:20:02.90 who wrestle with the angle, 00:20:02.91\00:20:04.11 didn't realize, it was the angle thought, 00:20:04.12\00:20:05.66 it was Jacob but...Esau 00:20:05.67\00:20:07.51 but when finally he realized it was a heavenly being, 00:20:07.52\00:20:11.13 he said, I won't let you go unless you bless me, 00:20:11.14\00:20:16.94 because the blessing of Jesus counts for something. 00:20:16.95\00:20:21.40 And the only day the Jesus ever blessed was the seventh day. 00:20:21.41\00:20:26.74 You know, everywhere I go, 00:20:26.75\00:20:27.97 I have people come along to me 00:20:27.98\00:20:29.15 and they said, Geoff, 00:20:29.16\00:20:30.19 why you're getting so excited? 00:20:30.20\00:20:31.82 Don't you know that one day is as good as another? 00:20:31.83\00:20:35.50 You might have heard people say that. 00:20:35.51\00:20:37.47 Maybe some of you even said it to yourself, 00:20:37.48\00:20:39.50 one day is as good as another. 00:20:39.51\00:20:40.90 Listen friend, that is almost bordering on blasphemy, 00:20:40.91\00:20:44.42 because if you say that one day is as good as another, 00:20:44.43\00:20:48.95 you are making out that the blessing of God 00:20:48.96\00:20:51.84 is no more important than the day 00:20:51.85\00:20:53.83 that Jesus doesn't bless. 00:20:53.84\00:20:56.82 Now if you say that one to six days, 00:20:56.83\00:20:59.82 one day is as good as another, 00:20:59.83\00:21:01.58 that is true because they are ordinary days. 00:21:01.59\00:21:05.17 One day is as good as another, 00:21:05.18\00:21:06.94 but the seventh day is altogether different, 00:21:06.95\00:21:09.32 because that has the very blessing of Jesus in it. 00:21:09.33\00:21:13.87 And that's what makes the seventh day altogether 00:21:13.88\00:21:16.43 different to every other day of the week. 00:21:16.44\00:21:20.00 You see in the early part of my life, 00:21:20.01\00:21:21.92 I was brought up as a Sunday keeper. 00:21:21.93\00:21:25.86 I never understood what I am sharing with you tonight. 00:21:25.87\00:21:31.39 But as I began to study the Bible, 00:21:31.40\00:21:33.38 I found that Jesus only ever 00:21:33.39\00:21:35.72 went to church on the seventh day. 00:21:35.73\00:21:38.37 It's the day that He made back in the beginning, 00:21:38.38\00:21:40.93 it's the day that He kept while He was on earth. 00:21:40.94\00:21:44.30 And as a Christian I thought, 00:21:47.47\00:21:49.24 we ought to pattern our life on the life of Jesus. 00:21:49.25\00:21:53.47 Because you see I was brought up 00:21:53.48\00:21:55.05 in the Presbyterian Church and my parents were, 00:21:55.06\00:21:59.75 and their parents all the way back from Scotland. 00:21:59.76\00:22:04.93 But friends, I don't go to church on Sunday anymore, 00:22:04.94\00:22:07.83 not because I fell out 00:22:07.84\00:22:08.93 with anyone in the Presbyterian Church 00:22:08.94\00:22:10.60 because there are wonderful people in that church, 00:22:10.61\00:22:13.16 the same as there are wonderful people 00:22:13.17\00:22:15.02 in every church. Wonderful people. 00:22:15.03\00:22:18.96 Wonderful people who don't even go to church. 00:22:18.97\00:22:23.31 But as I began to study the Bible 00:22:23.32\00:22:25.50 and I began to read it through from cover to cover, 00:22:25.51\00:22:28.28 I found that there was only one day in the entire week 00:22:28.29\00:22:34.24 that Jesus ever blessed 00:22:34.25\00:22:37.12 and that day was the seventh day. 00:22:37.13\00:22:39.36 He never blessed day one, two, three, four, five, or six. 00:22:39.37\00:22:45.40 And that's what makes the Sabbath altogether 00:22:45.41\00:22:47.70 different to every other day of the week. 00:22:47.71\00:22:50.13 And since that time 00:22:50.14\00:22:51.19 I have just gone around in the simple way 00:22:51.20\00:22:53.48 and I have explained this to people, 00:22:53.49\00:22:55.46 and I have literally seen thousands and thousands 00:22:55.47\00:22:57.72 of people step out to follow the Sabbath. 00:22:57.73\00:23:02.69 And when people say to me, 00:23:02.70\00:23:03.76 you know, one day is as good as another, 00:23:03.77\00:23:05.52 I like to illustrate with the point that perhaps 00:23:05.53\00:23:08.63 it helps us to understand this very point very well. 00:23:08.64\00:23:14.09 You see in my hand I hold two books, 00:23:14.10\00:23:16.44 one is the Bible that you've in your hands, 00:23:16.45\00:23:19.11 and the other is my diary. 00:23:19.12\00:23:22.44 Now if I was to take my diary 00:23:22.45\00:23:24.16 and to throw it down the ground 00:23:24.17\00:23:25.68 and to walk on it, probably nobody here 00:23:25.69\00:23:30.21 would be too upset except to say, 00:23:30.22\00:23:31.62 well, if you don't want it looks a decent diary to me, 00:23:31.63\00:23:33.73 if you don't want it, I will have it. 00:23:33.74\00:23:37.10 But what if I was to take this book 00:23:37.11\00:23:40.43 and throw down the ground 00:23:40.44\00:23:41.83 and treated this as light thing. 00:23:41.84\00:23:43.25 What would you feel about that? 00:23:43.26\00:23:44.92 Would you be happy? 00:23:44.93\00:23:47.08 But I could say to you, one book is as good as another. 00:23:47.09\00:23:50.71 Both have black covers, 00:23:50.72\00:23:52.49 both have white page with black print on them. 00:23:52.50\00:23:55.41 One book is as good as another. 00:23:55.42\00:23:57.19 What would you say if I argue one book is as good as another? 00:23:57.20\00:24:00.43 Would you believe that, that's true? 00:24:00.44\00:24:02.84 Is one book is as good as another? Why not? 00:24:02.85\00:24:07.79 Yes, because this is the Holy Bible, 00:24:07.80\00:24:09.76 this has been blessed by God. 00:24:09.77\00:24:11.46 Get the thought? 00:24:11.47\00:24:12.66 This is what makes the Bible different to every other book. 00:24:12.67\00:24:15.33 It's not because it has special paper 00:24:15.34\00:24:18.61 or special ink or special cover, 00:24:18.62\00:24:21.94 nothing like that at all. 00:24:21.95\00:24:23.33 What makes it different is the fact 00:24:23.34\00:24:24.92 that God blessed this book 00:24:24.93\00:24:26.71 where He hasn't blessed any other book. 00:24:26.72\00:24:29.91 And of course, that is true, 00:24:29.92\00:24:31.68 that's what makes the Bible different. 00:24:31.69\00:24:33.90 And friends, that's what makes the Sabbath different 00:24:33.91\00:24:36.56 to every other day of the week too. 00:24:36.57\00:24:38.60 It's not that the bird sing any sweeter 00:24:38.61\00:24:40.68 or the sunshine is any brighter on the seventh day 00:24:40.69\00:24:42.96 to any other day of the week. 00:24:42.97\00:24:44.37 What makes the Sabbath different is the fact 00:24:44.38\00:24:46.86 that this is the only day 00:24:46.87\00:24:48.69 in the entire week that Jesus blessed. 00:24:48.70\00:24:53.59 And it's the blessing of Jesus in that day 00:24:53.60\00:24:56.80 that makes the day different. 00:24:56.81\00:24:57.97 Can you see the point? 00:24:57.98\00:24:59.57 That's what makes it different. 00:24:59.58\00:25:02.51 That's why I stepped out to take the Sabbath. 00:25:02.52\00:25:05.86 You know I meet people who think 00:25:05.87\00:25:07.01 that when you keep the Sabbath, you are legalist. 00:25:07.02\00:25:09.24 I could never understand friend 00:25:09.25\00:25:10.90 because listen if you're going to set aside 00:25:10.91\00:25:13.16 one day every week so that you can get to know 00:25:13.17\00:25:15.44 Jesus better and to share His word 00:25:15.45\00:25:19.05 and to have time for your family 00:25:19.06\00:25:20.65 that doesn't seem to spell legalism to me. 00:25:20.66\00:25:23.54 That spells grace, and that's why God gave us the Sabbath 00:25:23.55\00:25:28.23 so that we would have time to do the things 00:25:28.24\00:25:31.17 that are most important in life. 00:25:31.18\00:25:34.32 To make sure our priorities are in their right prospective 00:25:34.33\00:25:39.27 because once you forget the Sabbath, 00:25:39.28\00:25:42.39 priorities get out of kilter 00:25:42.40\00:25:43.92 and that's the trouble with the world today. 00:25:43.93\00:25:45.46 That's why there are so many unhappy homes. 00:25:45.47\00:25:49.99 But listen, not only did Jesus rest on that day, 00:25:50.00\00:25:53.42 not only did he bless the day. 00:25:53.43\00:25:55.29 What does the Bible say, He did next? 00:25:55.30\00:25:57.82 What did He do? He sanctified this day. 00:25:57.83\00:26:00.83 What is the word sanctify mean? 00:26:00.84\00:26:05.14 If it's something is sanctified, 00:26:05.15\00:26:07.16 it means it is made holy. 00:26:07.17\00:26:11.04 It's set apart for holy use. 00:26:11.05\00:26:12.79 So after Jesus rested on that day 00:26:12.80\00:26:15.35 then He blessed the day, then the Bible says, 00:26:15.36\00:26:18.45 He set this day aside for our holy use, He sanctified it. 00:26:18.46\00:26:24.79 That's why the Fourth Commandment says, 00:26:24.80\00:26:27.84 remember the Sabbath day to make it holy, 00:26:27.85\00:26:32.39 is that what it says? No, it doesn't say that. 00:26:32.40\00:26:34.86 It says, remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy 00:26:34.87\00:26:38.07 because God made it holy to begin with 00:26:38.08\00:26:41.23 and He invites us to continue to make it, 00:26:41.24\00:26:44.36 oh, to keep it holy, get the thought? 00:26:44.37\00:26:46.64 Because you and I cannot make anything holy. 00:26:46.65\00:26:50.98 Now some people think that people can say 00:26:50.99\00:26:53.20 things over water and make it holy. 00:26:53.21\00:26:55.05 I don't believe that, that's true 00:26:55.06\00:26:56.76 because the only person in the world 00:26:56.77\00:26:58.43 that can make anything holy is God. 00:26:58.44\00:27:01.97 And the only day as I've read the Bible 00:27:01.98\00:27:04.31 from cover to cover friend 00:27:04.32\00:27:05.35 and I would challenge anybody to read the Bible 00:27:05.36\00:27:08.47 from cover to cover, you will find that the only day 00:27:08.48\00:27:10.81 that Jesus has ever set aside 00:27:10.82\00:27:13.60 for our holiest is the seventh day 00:27:13.61\00:27:17.79 because that's the day He rested and blessed. 00:27:17.80\00:27:20.62 To illustrate, In my busy schedule 00:27:20.63\00:27:23.86 I found that Wednesday is the best day in the week 00:27:23.87\00:27:26.99 because for me to keep as a Sabbath 00:27:27.00\00:27:28.52 because the weekend I've got sport 00:27:28.53\00:27:31.63 and shopping and business and so forth 00:27:31.64\00:27:34.34 but Wednesday is a bit of a lull day, 00:27:34.35\00:27:36.50 so I decide that I am going 00:27:36.51\00:27:38.42 to keep Wednesday as a holy day. 00:27:38.43\00:27:40.82 I am going to go to church on Wednesday. 00:27:40.83\00:27:42.79 I'm going to read the Bible on Wednesday. 00:27:42.80\00:27:44.71 I'm going to go to church all day Wednesday. 00:27:44.72\00:27:48.47 Does that make Wednesday a holy day? 00:27:48.48\00:27:51.42 But what if I go to church all day 00:27:51.43\00:27:53.29 and I read the Bible all day Wednesday. 00:27:53.30\00:27:55.23 Does that make it holy? Why not? 00:27:55.24\00:28:00.43 Its because Wednesday was never made holy to begin with. 00:28:00.44\00:28:03.33 Can you see the point? 00:28:03.34\00:28:04.90 I don't care how sincere 00:28:04.91\00:28:07.16 and how earnest the person is in keeping any of these days 00:28:07.17\00:28:13.11 and going to church and reading their Bible. 00:28:13.12\00:28:15.36 They cannot make the day holy 00:28:15.37\00:28:17.17 because the day was never made holy to begin with. 00:28:17.18\00:28:19.82 Can you see the point? 00:28:19.83\00:28:21.44 The only day that can be kept holy is the seventh day 00:28:21.45\00:28:24.94 because it's the only day that was made holy. 00:28:24.95\00:28:29.31 And we all admit that we can't make anything holy. 00:28:29.32\00:28:32.24 Only God can do that. 00:28:32.25\00:28:34.31 And that's why it's impossible for any of us to ever suggest 00:28:34.32\00:28:37.89 that one day is as good as another 00:28:37.90\00:28:41.84 because we are treating that the blessing of God 00:28:41.85\00:28:45.27 and the sanctification of God is worth 00:28:45.28\00:28:48.10 nothing more than the day that He doesn't rest 00:28:48.11\00:28:50.70 and bless and sanctified. 00:28:50.71\00:28:53.00 I don't know whether you've ever thought about this 00:28:56.71\00:28:58.50 but this is an interesting point you know. 00:28:58.51\00:29:00.20 Have you ever wondered 00:29:00.21\00:29:01.33 where the seventh day week comes from? 00:29:01.34\00:29:03.91 Why seven days in the week? 00:29:03.92\00:29:06.37 Have you wondered that? 00:29:06.38\00:29:07.99 Because you see we get our day 00:29:08.00\00:29:12.16 by the earth rotation on its axis. 00:29:12.17\00:29:15.84 Isn't that right that gives us 24 hours? 00:29:15.85\00:29:18.29 We get our year by the earth's revolution around the sun. 00:29:18.32\00:29:22.01 Once every 365 and quarter days give us a year. 00:29:22.02\00:29:25.84 We get our month by the moon. 00:29:25.85\00:29:31.07 But where is the idea of seven days come from? 00:29:31.08\00:29:34.05 It doesn't divide evenly into the month, 00:29:34.06\00:29:36.87 it doesn't divide evenly into the year. 00:29:36.88\00:29:40.79 It's an odd number of days. Why seven? 00:29:40.80\00:29:43.67 Where did the idea of seven come from? 00:29:43.68\00:29:48.05 Well, the interesting thing is, this is the good question 00:29:48.06\00:29:50.54 to ask your atheistic friends, your revolutionary friends. 00:29:50.55\00:29:55.32 Ask them to explain 00:29:55.33\00:29:56.88 where the seven day week comes from? 00:29:56.89\00:30:00.61 I have done such a thing. 00:30:00.62\00:30:02.02 I've never got a satisfactory answer yet. 00:30:02.03\00:30:05.07 Because you take out creation 00:30:05.08\00:30:08.02 and then try to explain the seven day week 00:30:08.03\00:30:10.58 and see how you get along. 00:30:10.59\00:30:13.43 And the interesting thing is this that every nation 00:30:13.44\00:30:17.59 under God's heaven has a seven day week. 00:30:17.60\00:30:22.18 And they all start the day on the same day 00:30:22.19\00:30:24.64 and they all end the day-- week on the same day. 00:30:24.65\00:30:28.04 And the interesting thing is that over 100 languages 00:30:28.05\00:30:32.03 in the world today still call 00:30:32.04\00:30:34.76 what we call in English Saturday, 00:30:34.77\00:30:37.19 they call the Sabbath. 00:30:37.20\00:30:40.07 And there is over 100 languages. 00:30:40.08\00:30:43.90 Anybody here speak any other language outside English 00:30:43.91\00:30:46.79 in which Sabbath is refer to as the Seventh-day. 00:30:46.80\00:30:50.26 Anyone speak in the Italian. 00:30:50.27\00:30:52.04 Nick. Spell it out to us. 00:30:52.05\00:30:54.90 What is it called? Sabbatho. Sabbath. 00:30:54.91\00:30:57.52 Well, only Italians can't be wrong, can they? 00:30:57.53\00:31:00.96 Every Italian call Saturday the Sabbath in Italy today, 00:31:00.97\00:31:06.40 no exceptions for that. Anyone speak in the Spanish. 00:31:06.41\00:31:13.51 They are millions of Spaniards 00:31:13.52\00:31:16.19 and they all refer to Saturday as a Sabbath. 00:31:16.20\00:31:20.76 Someone talks German language, all right. 00:31:24.58\00:31:27.46 The interesting thing about German language 00:31:27.47\00:31:29.67 is they refer to Wednesday as Mittwoch. 00:31:29.68\00:31:35.04 What does that mean? Middle of the week. 00:31:35.05\00:31:36.96 Middle of the week, you haven't gotta be bright 00:31:36.97\00:31:38.60 to realize what Mittwoch is. 00:31:38.61\00:31:41.18 Three days either side, middle of the week. 00:31:41.19\00:31:44.17 Every German can't be wrong. 00:31:44.18\00:31:47.81 You can go up to Indonesia. 00:31:47.82\00:31:51.34 In Indonesia, Malaysia what is that, 00:31:51.35\00:31:53.78 what's the word out there? Sabato. 00:31:53.79\00:31:59.53 In Malaysia, Indonesia throughout Asia, 00:31:59.54\00:32:02.63 they're not even a Christian country Sabato. 00:32:02.64\00:32:06.44 What language have you got? 00:32:06.45\00:32:08.27 French. What's it in French? 00:32:08.28\00:32:12.19 Okay, I won't try and pronounce the French. 00:32:12.20\00:32:15.72 You got to be a Frenchman to understand French, haven't you? 00:32:15.73\00:32:18.72 But you see over 100 languages in the world today 00:32:18.73\00:32:25.32 still call Saturday the Sabbath, 00:32:25.33\00:32:29.29 1 over 100 still after all of these years. 00:32:29.30\00:32:36.05 Now everywhere I go people say to me, 00:32:36.06\00:32:37.96 "Well, Geoff wasn't the Sabbath made for the Jew." 00:32:37.97\00:32:40.99 Just come over to Mark in the New Testament. 00:32:41.00\00:32:43.13 Mark Chapter 2. 00:32:43.14\00:32:44.66 Mark 2 and notice here verse 27. 00:32:44.67\00:32:49.73 Mark the 2nd Chapter and verse 27 and 28. 00:32:49.74\00:32:55.48 "And Jesus made the statement. 00:32:55.49\00:32:59.57 "And He said to them, 00:32:59.58\00:33:01.10 'The Sabbath was made for the Jew." 00:33:01.11\00:33:06.54 Doesn't say that all, does it? 00:33:06.55\00:33:07.73 It says "the Sabbath was made for man 00:33:07.74\00:33:10.50 and not man for the Sabbath. 00:33:10.51\00:33:12.65 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." 00:33:12.66\00:33:18.20 He's the protector the Lord, 00:33:18.21\00:33:19.65 He is the one who controls the Sabbath. 00:33:19.66\00:33:22.97 He made the Sabbath, He's Lord of the Sabbath. 00:33:22.98\00:33:27.42 And the Sabbath was made for M-A-N. 00:33:27.43\00:33:32.40 You know, it also says 00:33:32.41\00:33:33.46 same Bible says woman was made for man. 00:33:33.47\00:33:37.26 You know, I know that doesn't quite sound 00:33:37.27\00:33:40.02 the best to us today at almost in today's climate. 00:33:40.03\00:33:43.11 But it doesn't mean that woman was made as a shuttle for man. 00:33:43.12\00:33:47.63 What that means is when God created woman, 00:33:47.64\00:33:51.43 He made her as blessing for man, 00:33:51.44\00:33:54.17 that's what the Bible means the same 00:33:54.18\00:33:55.74 as the Sabbath was made for man 00:33:55.75\00:33:57.37 that was made as a blessing for man to help man, to help man. 00:33:57.38\00:34:04.16 And the Sabbath was made right back there 00:34:04.17\00:34:06.30 in the beginning as a blessing for mankind. 00:34:06.31\00:34:10.01 Now it is true that Jews did keep the Sabbath. 00:34:10.02\00:34:12.33 But listen if we're going to do away with something, 00:34:12.34\00:34:15.11 because the Jews touched it friend 00:34:15.12\00:34:17.05 then we will have to do away with everything 00:34:17.06\00:34:19.33 that we have as Christians. 00:34:19.34\00:34:22.09 For example practically every Bible writer was a Jew. 00:34:22.10\00:34:29.63 Therefore if we're going to do away with something 00:34:29.64\00:34:31.74 because the Jews touched it 00:34:31.75\00:34:33.32 we'll have to do away with the Bible, isn't that right? 00:34:33.33\00:34:36.99 We'll have to do away with Jesus 00:34:37.00\00:34:38.43 because what nationality was Jesus? He was a Jew. 00:34:38.44\00:34:42.71 We'll even have to do away with salvation 00:34:42.72\00:34:44.83 because Jesus said salvation is of the Jews. 00:34:44.84\00:34:50.09 Much of our form in Christian worship today 00:34:50.10\00:34:54.10 comes to us from the Jews, 00:34:54.11\00:34:55.23 the word Hallelujah is not a Christian word, 00:34:55.24\00:34:58.28 and it's a Jewish word. 00:34:58.29\00:35:02.03 Everything that we have is come down to us 00:35:02.04\00:35:04.39 from the Jews God intended to be so. 00:35:04.40\00:35:07.16 Then ask me why He choose the Jews? 00:35:07.17\00:35:09.45 We can ask God when we get home to heaven. 00:35:09.46\00:35:12.10 Because I don't know but God choose the Jews 00:35:12.11\00:35:15.59 and God choose the Jews to be the custodian of His truth 00:35:15.60\00:35:20.24 for hundreds and hundreds of years. 00:35:20.25\00:35:24.44 And the Bible was written during that period 00:35:24.45\00:35:27.74 when the Jews were the custodians of truth. 00:35:27.75\00:35:31.77 And so everything that we have has come down to us 00:35:31.78\00:35:35.28 handle by the Jews. 00:35:35.29\00:35:37.82 But it was never God's intention 00:35:37.83\00:35:39.51 that it only be for the Jews. 00:35:39.52\00:35:42.43 Anymore then it was God's intention 00:35:42.44\00:35:44.47 that the Bible only be for the Jews 00:35:44.48\00:35:46.51 or the salvation only be for the Jews. 00:35:46.52\00:35:50.43 It's intended for all mankind. 00:35:50.44\00:35:54.84 It's not only Jewish that need time 00:35:54.85\00:35:56.77 to spend with their families 00:35:56.78\00:35:58.80 and with God that is a requirement of everybody 00:35:58.81\00:36:03.71 and God intended that everybody would keep the Sabbath. 00:36:03.72\00:36:07.88 In fact, the Sabbath was made 2,500 years 00:36:07.89\00:36:11.67 before a Jew ever drew a breath. 00:36:11.68\00:36:15.58 I don't think anyone would whatever suggests 00:36:15.59\00:36:17.18 that Adam and Eve were Jews. 00:36:17.19\00:36:19.45 And God made the Sabbath right back there in the beginning. 00:36:19.46\00:36:22.16 You know, sometimes people said to me, 00:36:22.17\00:36:23.47 "Well, Geoff, how can you be so sure 00:36:23.48\00:36:26.04 that the days of the week heaven all being mixed up?" 00:36:26.05\00:36:30.57 I've got a good Bible answer to give you. 00:36:30.58\00:36:33.00 Come over to Luke Chapter 23. 00:36:33.01\00:36:35.58 We must always go to the Bible for our answers, 00:36:35.59\00:36:37.88 Luke Chapter 23 and verse 52. 00:36:37.89\00:36:42.65 Luke the 23rd Chapter and verse 52 00:36:42.66\00:36:46.12 and we'll pick up the story 00:36:46.13\00:36:47.62 down at the Crucifixion of Jesus here. 00:36:47.63\00:36:49.87 And here we find the days of the week are named. 00:36:49.88\00:36:52.98 Have look at this in verse 52. 00:36:52.99\00:36:55.26 "This man went to Pilate 00:36:55.27\00:36:57.23 and asked for the body of Jesus. 00:36:57.24\00:37:00.10 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, 00:37:00.11\00:37:02.74 and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, 00:37:02.75\00:37:05.99 where no one had ever lain before. 00:37:06.00\00:37:09.04 That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near. 00:37:09.05\00:37:17.22 And the women who had come with Him 00:37:17.23\00:37:18.88 from Galilee followed after, 00:37:18.89\00:37:21.19 and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. 00:37:21.20\00:37:24.66 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. 00:37:24.67\00:37:28.77 And they rested on the Sabbath 00:37:28.78\00:37:31.03 according to the commandment. 00:37:31.04\00:37:33.91 Now on the first day of the week, 00:37:33.92\00:37:35.74 very early in the morning, 00:37:35.75\00:37:37.18 they, and certain other women with them, 00:37:37.19\00:37:39.20 came to the tomb bringing the spices 00:37:39.21\00:37:41.45 which they had prepared." 00:37:41.46\00:37:43.34 Now look here we have three days 00:37:43.35\00:37:45.63 mentioned at Crucifixion of Jesus. 00:37:45.64\00:37:47.74 We have the day that Jesus was crucified on, 00:37:47.75\00:37:50.39 what is the Bible call that day by the way? 00:37:50.40\00:37:53.18 Here it's call the preparation day, all right. 00:37:53.19\00:37:58.46 Then the day that Jesus slept in the tomb, 00:37:58.47\00:38:01.86 while he was dead is call what? 00:38:01.87\00:38:04.64 Sabbath day according to the commandment. 00:38:04.65\00:38:06.51 The day that He rose from the dead is call? 00:38:06.52\00:38:09.88 The first day of the week. 00:38:09.89\00:38:12.45 So here we have these three days. 00:38:12.46\00:38:15.58 The preparation day, the day of Christ Crucifixion. 00:38:15.59\00:38:20.14 We have the day of Christ resurrection, 00:38:20.15\00:38:23.23 the first day of the week 00:38:23.24\00:38:24.37 and the day in between is the Sabbath day 00:38:24.38\00:38:26.33 according to the Ten Commandments. 00:38:26.34\00:38:27.81 Now listen, there's not, there's not too many things 00:38:27.82\00:38:31.63 that you can say that the whole world is agreed on. 00:38:31.64\00:38:36.26 But they're practically, totally agreed 00:38:36.27\00:38:38.88 on what we're going to share next. 00:38:38.89\00:38:41.82 For example every Christian agrees 00:38:41.83\00:38:46.12 that when Jesus died on that preparation day, 00:38:46.13\00:38:50.11 we have a special name for it here in Australia, 00:38:50.12\00:38:54.31 what do we call it? Good Friday. 00:38:54.32\00:38:56.26 We call it Good Friday, isn't that right? 00:38:56.27\00:38:59.71 The whole Christian world has agreed on that. 00:38:59.72\00:39:04.29 We have a special name for the day 00:39:04.30\00:39:06.29 that Jesus rose from the dead, 00:39:06.30\00:39:08.04 we call that here in Australia, 00:39:08.05\00:39:10.00 what day? Easter Sunday. 00:39:10.01\00:39:16.19 Well, the Bible says, the Sabbath day 00:39:16.20\00:39:18.29 according to the Ten Commandments, 00:39:18.30\00:39:20.33 according to Luke is the day 00:39:20.34\00:39:21.68 in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, 00:39:21.69\00:39:26.25 that's the day in between. 00:39:26.26\00:39:28.85 I mean, you can't make a mistake. 00:39:28.86\00:39:31.24 So you've got over a thousand, 00:39:31.25\00:39:33.06 hundred or billion Christians all agreed 00:39:33.07\00:39:37.87 that Sunday is the first day of the week. 00:39:37.88\00:39:39.87 In fact, that's the reason 00:39:39.88\00:39:41.27 they give for going to church on Sunday 00:39:41.28\00:39:44.21 as they say that Christ rose on that day. 00:39:44.22\00:39:46.23 I mean, there's no Biblical support for that, 00:39:46.24\00:39:48.20 that's nearly a tradition but that's what they say, 00:39:48.21\00:39:51.95 the reason that they give. 00:39:51.96\00:39:54.40 So you've got nearly 00:39:54.41\00:39:55.59 a billion Christians agreed on that point. 00:39:55.60\00:39:59.51 You've got a billion Muslims agreed 00:39:59.52\00:40:03.49 that the sixth day of the week Friday is a holy day, 00:40:03.50\00:40:09.75 because what day do they go to their mosque? Friday. 00:40:09.76\00:40:14.19 So you've got a billion Muslims 00:40:14.20\00:40:16.19 agreed on the sixth day of the week. 00:40:16.20\00:40:18.19 You've got 13 million Jews 00:40:18.20\00:40:20.30 who agreed that the seventh day is what we call Saturday. 00:40:20.31\00:40:25.35 So you've got the Muslims, the Jews, 00:40:25.36\00:40:27.60 and the Christians all agreed on one point 00:40:27.61\00:40:30.49 and that is the days of the week, 00:40:30.50\00:40:32.67 because they have never ever been changed. 00:40:32.68\00:40:37.80 I don't know of anything else that the Jews, 00:40:37.81\00:40:39.61 the Christians, and the Muslims all agree on. 00:40:39.62\00:40:42.96 But they do agree on that, because there is no dispute. 00:40:42.97\00:40:46.79 The only people that I ever find query 00:40:46.80\00:40:49.84 the fact the days of the week may have been mixed up 00:40:49.85\00:40:52.79 are those who've never studied it. 00:40:52.80\00:40:54.63 Because when you checkup on your encyclopedia 00:40:54.64\00:40:56.96 or checkup on the internet, checkup wherever you like. 00:40:56.97\00:41:00.47 There is no dispute about the days of the week, 00:41:00.48\00:41:03.91 because they have come down to us 00:41:03.92\00:41:05.63 in an unbroken line since creation. 00:41:05.64\00:41:09.53 And by the way if they'd been any mix up 00:41:09.54\00:41:11.73 through the Old Testament Jesus would have corrected it 00:41:11.74\00:41:14.37 when He came onto the earth, wouldn't He? 00:41:14.38\00:41:16.45 But He didn't correct it, 00:41:16.46\00:41:17.51 because they were still celebrating the same day 00:41:17.52\00:41:19.92 and since the time of Jesus, of course, 00:41:19.93\00:41:21.46 is very easy for us to go back in time. 00:41:21.47\00:41:25.13 No dispute whatsoever, 00:41:25.14\00:41:27.95 that's why we can be so certain in our hearts 00:41:27.96\00:41:30.25 and in our minds that there has been no change 00:41:30.26\00:41:33.98 in the cycle of the days of the week 00:41:33.99\00:41:35.88 down through the years. 00:41:35.89\00:41:37.82 Now, I've done a little summary 00:41:37.83\00:41:39.48 that I'm going to give to you to now 00:41:39.49\00:41:41.48 and I'm going to ask the ushers, 00:41:41.49\00:41:42.86 if you wouldn't mind just handing this out to everybody, 00:41:42.87\00:41:45.51 if you wouldn't mind just giving it 00:41:45.52\00:41:48.08 out as quickly as you can. 00:41:48.09\00:41:49.06 And for those of you who are watching 00:41:49.07\00:41:50.04 you're going to see it on the screen 00:41:50.05\00:41:52.16 now as we read it through. 00:41:52.17\00:41:54.68 Because and if anyone wants any extra copies of these 00:41:54.69\00:41:57.63 then just ask the ushers as you go out 00:41:57.64\00:42:00.79 and we'll be very happy to give you some extra ones. 00:42:00.80\00:42:03.11 But at least we'll give you one now. 00:42:03.12\00:42:05.86 Now when you get it you'll notice that there are two sides 00:42:05.87\00:42:09.03 there is the Lord's Day and then Sunday. 00:42:09.04\00:42:10.81 We'll have a look at the Lord's Day side for a start. 00:42:10.82\00:42:14.33 And we'll just go through the points 00:42:14.34\00:42:15.90 because this just summarizes 00:42:15.91\00:42:18.13 what we have been saying thus far. 00:42:18.14\00:42:23.20 Everyone's got one. Let's have a look at the Lord's Day. 00:42:23.21\00:42:26.65 The first thing that we noticed about the Lord's Day 00:42:26.66\00:42:28.80 is that God rested on the seventh day, 00:42:28.81\00:42:32.75 that's what made it God's rest or His Sabbath. 00:42:32.76\00:42:37.71 God blessed and sanctified, 00:42:37.72\00:42:39.88 that is He made holy the Sabbath. 00:42:39.89\00:42:43.44 And God commanded, remember 00:42:43.45\00:42:45.36 the Sabbath day to keep it holy. 00:42:45.37\00:42:49.60 The Sabbath was made before sin, 00:42:49.61\00:42:52.33 hence it is not a type. 00:42:52.34\00:42:54.22 Let me just pause on that one to explain. 00:42:54.23\00:42:57.52 Some people feel that when Jesus died on the cross 00:42:57.53\00:43:00.86 that the Sabbath was done away with. 00:43:00.87\00:43:03.78 But friend listen that is not true and I'll tell you why. 00:43:03.79\00:43:07.41 The Sabbath was made in the Garden of Eden 00:43:07.42\00:43:10.61 before Adam and Eve sinned, is that true? 00:43:10.62\00:43:13.49 Yes. Yes, it is. 00:43:13.50\00:43:15.81 With marriage, both the Sabbath and marriage 00:43:15.82\00:43:18.90 were made in the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned 00:43:18.91\00:43:22.44 and it's interesting that both are under 00:43:22.45\00:43:24.58 severe attack by the devil. 00:43:24.59\00:43:26.40 Because if the devil takes marriage away 00:43:26.41\00:43:29.45 he breaks down society, if he attacks the Sabbath 00:43:29.46\00:43:32.43 he takes away the memory of creation 00:43:32.44\00:43:35.21 where we've come from and the blessing of getting 00:43:35.22\00:43:38.74 to know God the time that is allocated, 00:43:38.75\00:43:40.66 so he, both of these gifts from the Garden of Eden 00:43:40.67\00:43:43.02 are under severe attack today. 00:43:43.03\00:43:45.38 But the Sabbath was made in the Garden of Eden 00:43:45.39\00:43:48.05 before Adam and Eve sinned, 00:43:48.06\00:43:50.53 therefore before the death of Jesus was made necessary. 00:43:50.54\00:43:56.90 Because the Sabbath doesn't point forward to Jesus, 00:43:56.91\00:44:00.90 we have notice that the Bible says 00:44:00.91\00:44:02.44 the Sabbath points backwards to creation, 00:44:02.45\00:44:07.69 it's a memorial of creation. 00:44:07.70\00:44:10.71 Because it was made before the death of Jesus 00:44:10.72\00:44:14.94 was necessary in the Garden of Eden. 00:44:14.95\00:44:18.18 That's why we say here that Sabbath was made before sin, 00:44:18.19\00:44:23.15 hence it's not a type, 00:44:23.16\00:44:24.88 it doesn't point forward to anything, 00:44:24.89\00:44:26.97 doesn't point forward to Jesus. 00:44:26.98\00:44:29.84 Because Jesus death at this particular stage 00:44:29.85\00:44:32.87 when the Sabbath was created wasn't yet necessary, 00:44:32.88\00:44:36.32 because Adam and Eve hadn't yet sinned. 00:44:36.33\00:44:39.95 The Sabbath was made for man 00:44:39.96\00:44:42.06 and all mankind according to Mark 2:27. 00:44:42.07\00:44:45.34 It was made 2,500 years before there was a Jew. 00:44:45.35\00:44:51.19 The Bible never calls it a "Jewish Sabbath." 00:44:51.20\00:44:54.36 And I hope nobody else will. 00:44:54.37\00:44:57.29 God placed it in the centre of His ten moral commandments. 00:44:57.30\00:45:02.79 The Sabbath was commanded by the voice of the living God. 00:45:02.80\00:45:07.47 God wrote the Commandments with His own finger on stone. 00:45:07.48\00:45:13.19 God pronounced a special blessing on Gentiles 00:45:13.20\00:45:16.20 who keep the Sabbath. 00:45:16.21\00:45:17.39 So even in the Old Testament 00:45:17.40\00:45:18.91 there was a blessing for the Gentiles 00:45:18.92\00:45:20.91 who keep the Sabbath, not just for the Jews. 00:45:20.92\00:45:23.48 God promises to bless any person 00:45:23.49\00:45:25.74 who will keep the Sabbath. 00:45:25.75\00:45:28.36 After the Sabbath has been trodden down 00:45:28.37\00:45:30.40 "many generations," it is to be restored in the last days. 00:45:30.41\00:45:35.03 That's why you're hearing it tonight 00:45:35.04\00:45:36.84 because the Bible says it's going to be restored 00:45:36.85\00:45:39.81 before Jesus comes back. 00:45:39.82\00:45:42.29 The Sabbath is the "Lord's Day." 00:45:42.30\00:45:44.92 We could give you scores of verses, 00:45:44.93\00:45:46.92 but there are at least three 00:45:46.93\00:45:49.11 that say the Sabbath is the Lord's Day, 00:45:49.12\00:45:50.80 there's not one text anywhere 00:45:50.81\00:45:52.11 that says Sunday is the Lord's Day. 00:45:52.12\00:45:54.63 The Gentile converts called it "the Sabbath." 00:45:54.64\00:45:57.04 Notice this, 14 years after the cross. 00:45:57.05\00:46:02.27 Three decades or thirty years after the cross, 00:46:02.28\00:46:04.82 the Bible says the Sabbath remains. 00:46:04.83\00:46:07.14 It hasn't been done away with according to Hebrews 4:9. 00:46:07.15\00:46:10.18 Christians are to enter Sabbath rest 00:46:10.19\00:46:12.65 as God did in Hebrews 4:10, 00:46:12.66\00:46:16.06 where they keep it as God did. 00:46:16.07\00:46:18.49 And everyone in the New Earth 00:46:18.50\00:46:19.81 will keep the Sabbath according to Isaiah 66. 00:46:19.82\00:46:23.31 Just turn over now and we'll have a look at the Sunday side. 00:46:23.32\00:46:27.60 The first thing that we notice about Sunday 00:46:27.61\00:46:30.02 is that God worked on Sunday. 00:46:30.03\00:46:33.11 God commanded work on Sunday and God calls it a working day. 00:46:33.12\00:46:38.15 Tell me could you be a sinner and work on Sunday. 00:46:38.16\00:46:47.02 Well, no because God worked on Sunday. 00:46:47.03\00:46:53.95 And if God worked on Sunday 00:46:53.96\00:46:57.08 and He was a sinner that's preposterous. 00:46:57.09\00:46:59.61 But the first thing that God did is He worked on Sunday. 00:46:59.62\00:47:03.06 And so working day it's always referred 00:47:03.07\00:47:05.40 to as a working day throughout the Bible. 00:47:05.41\00:47:08.24 He never blessed Sunday. 00:47:08.25\00:47:10.80 Christ did not rest upon it. 00:47:10.81\00:47:13.20 Sunday was never sanctified. 00:47:13.21\00:47:16.02 The New Testament nowhere forbids work on it. 00:47:16.03\00:47:19.40 There was no penalty for its desecration. 00:47:19.41\00:47:22.47 There is no blessing promised for its observance. 00:47:22.48\00:47:26.33 No regulation is given as to how it should be observed. 00:47:26.34\00:47:30.15 It is never called the "Christian Sabbath." 00:47:30.16\00:47:33.70 It is never called the "Lord's Day." 00:47:33.71\00:47:36.88 Although some of us have been brought up 00:47:36.89\00:47:38.66 to call it the Lord's Day, 00:47:38.67\00:47:40.47 but the Bible never calls it the Lord's Day, 00:47:40.48\00:47:42.64 that's just another tradition 00:47:42.65\00:47:44.30 that we're going to talk about in future meetings. 00:47:44.31\00:47:46.84 No sacred title is ever applied to Sunday. 00:47:46.85\00:47:51.06 The word 'Sunday' never occurs in the Word of God. 00:47:51.07\00:47:55.09 Neither God, Christ, nor any inspired man 00:47:55.10\00:47:58.57 ever said one word in favor of Sunday as a holy day. 00:47:58.58\00:48:02.80 There was no requirement to break bread on Sunday. 00:48:02.81\00:48:06.56 The Bible nowhere says the first day of the week 00:48:06.57\00:48:09.19 commemorates the resurrection of Christ. 00:48:09.20\00:48:12.07 This is the tradition of men which makes 00:48:12.08\00:48:14.61 void the commandment of God. 00:48:14.62\00:48:17.45 So it is thought that you'd like to have that as a summary, 00:48:17.46\00:48:20.60 to summarize what we've been saying, but listen. 00:48:20.61\00:48:22.98 I want to take you a step further come over 00:48:22.99\00:48:24.74 to Revelation Chapter 14, would you? 00:48:24.75\00:48:27.02 Revelation 14 and verse 12. 00:48:27.03\00:48:30.91 We're down in the last days, 00:48:30.92\00:48:32.36 that wonderful Book of Revelation 00:48:32.37\00:48:34.10 that we have been starting to study now 00:48:34.11\00:48:36.31 and we're starting to understand 00:48:36.32\00:48:38.62 its wonderful prophecies. 00:48:38.63\00:48:39.97 Verse 12 and the conclusion of those 00:48:39.98\00:48:41.92 three messages it says this. 00:48:41.93\00:48:43.94 "Here is the patience of the saints, 00:48:43.95\00:48:47.44 here are those who keep." What is it? 00:48:47.45\00:48:50.58 "The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." 00:48:50.59\00:48:55.81 Can you see that God points out 00:48:55.82\00:48:58.14 His people in the last days, 00:48:58.15\00:48:59.83 in the Book of Revelation written for the last days 00:48:59.84\00:49:02.77 are identified with two outstanding characteristics? 00:49:02.78\00:49:05.93 One is that they will love Jesus 00:49:05.94\00:49:08.59 and they'll be faithful to Jesus, 00:49:08.60\00:49:10.64 but they'll also be faithful to His Ten Commandments, 00:49:10.65\00:49:15.01 that's got to include the Sabbath, 00:49:15.02\00:49:17.07 because the Sabbath is number four of the ten. 00:49:17.08\00:49:20.87 In fact, it's the largest of the ten 00:49:20.88\00:49:23.80 as far as space is concern. 00:49:23.81\00:49:26.74 And in the Ten Commandments God devoted more space 00:49:26.75\00:49:29.80 to the Sabbath commandment than any other commandment. 00:49:29.81\00:49:34.82 And God's people in the last days are identified 00:49:34.83\00:49:37.81 as those who are faithful to Jesus 00:49:37.82\00:49:40.14 and faithful to His commandments. 00:49:40.15\00:49:44.83 But I want to take you even a step further 00:49:44.84\00:49:46.86 come into the middle of the Bible, 00:49:46.87\00:49:48.54 now to the Book of Isaiah. 00:49:48.55\00:49:50.60 Isaiah Chapter 66, right in the middle. 00:49:50.61\00:49:54.83 The Old Testament, Isaiah 66 and verse 22. 00:49:54.84\00:50:01.52 Isaiah 66 and verse 22. 00:50:01.53\00:50:04.40 And Isaiah is writing not about this earth, 00:50:07.41\00:50:09.93 he's writing about the new earth and the new heaven. 00:50:09.94\00:50:12.98 It's verse 22, "For as the new heaven and the new earth." 00:50:12.99\00:50:17.54 You see what's it talking about. 00:50:17.55\00:50:18.93 New heaven and the new earth 00:50:18.94\00:50:20.78 which I will make shall remain before Me," says the Lord, 00:50:20.79\00:50:23.81 "So shall your descendants and your name remain. 00:50:23.82\00:50:27.02 And it shall come to pass 00:50:27.03\00:50:28.48 that from one New Moon to another, 00:50:28.49\00:50:30.90 And from one Sabbath to another, 00:50:30.91\00:50:34.09 All flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord." 00:50:34.10\00:50:39.89 How many people are going to worship 00:50:39.90\00:50:41.62 God's Sabbath by Sabbath 00:50:41.63\00:50:43.00 in the new heavens and the new earth? All. 00:50:43.01\00:50:45.31 All it says that little word "A-L-L. 00:50:45.32\00:50:48.68 You see when we get home to heaven 00:50:48.69\00:50:49.96 there's going to be no fence in heaven 00:50:49.97\00:50:51.86 where those on this side all keep Sunday 00:50:51.87\00:50:54.34 and those on this side all are Sabbath keepers. 00:50:54.35\00:50:57.64 Nothing like that at all 00:50:57.65\00:50:59.06 because everybody in the new earth 00:50:59.07\00:51:02.18 is going to be a Sabbath keeper regardless of the day 00:51:02.19\00:51:04.70 that we've kept down on this earth friends. 00:51:04.71\00:51:06.82 Get home to the glory land 00:51:06.83\00:51:08.28 and you'll be a Sabbath keeper throughout all eternity. 00:51:08.29\00:51:12.89 And when I was studying this as a Presbyterian, 00:51:12.90\00:51:17.30 I thought to myself it didn't seem logical to my mind 00:51:17.31\00:51:21.06 that for all the period of the Old Testament, 00:51:21.07\00:51:23.73 everybody was a Sabbath keeper nobody disputes that. 00:51:23.74\00:51:26.88 Throughout all eternity 00:51:26.89\00:51:28.33 we're going to be Sabbath keepers, 00:51:28.34\00:51:29.84 why would we change in the Christian era 00:51:29.85\00:51:33.34 for a little period change over the Sunday. 00:51:33.35\00:51:37.39 Friend it doesn't make sense and it's not biblical, 00:51:37.40\00:51:42.24 because all through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, 00:51:42.25\00:51:48.90 every person that ever lived 00:51:48.91\00:51:51.47 in the Bible was a Sabbath keeper. 00:51:51.48\00:51:53.80 Not one of them ever went to church 00:51:53.81\00:51:55.45 on Sunday, not a single one. 00:51:55.46\00:51:59.37 And throughout all eternity 00:51:59.38\00:52:02.59 we're going to be Sabbath keepers 00:52:02.60\00:52:06.01 for as the new heaven and the new earth, 00:52:06.02\00:52:10.90 Sabbath by Sabbath and month by month, 00:52:10.91\00:52:15.06 new moon by new moon because the Revelation says, 00:52:15.07\00:52:17.27 we go up to the city, month by month 00:52:17.28\00:52:19.93 to get the list from the tree of life. 00:52:19.94\00:52:25.30 Month by month, Sabbath by Sabbath, 00:52:25.31\00:52:29.20 we go up there to worship before God. 00:52:29.21\00:52:31.98 You know, someone says to me, 00:52:31.99\00:52:33.17 "Well, Geoff, are you suggesting today 00:52:33.18\00:52:35.98 that small group of Sabbath keepers are right 00:52:35.99\00:52:42.15 and everybody else in the world is wrong 00:52:42.16\00:52:46.96 is that what you're saying tonight?
