Prior to the Second World War,

the Second World War.

And for awhile they were
rounding up Japanese soldiers

on the island of
Guam and they put them

into an internment camp
until the end of the war,

when they were released.

In 1960, which was
15 years after the end

of the Second World
War, a Guamanian was out

in the bush when he thought
he saw two Japanese soldiers.

Now he thought to
himself that's impossible,

this is 1960.

Fifteen years
after the end of the war,

but he was sufficiently
convinced in his heart

that he had seen
two Japanese soldiers.

So he reported to the
authorities and they sent
00:01:23.07\00:01:25.36
out a search
party, they believed

him enough to do that.

And within two days they found
these two Japanese soldiers.

Now you can imagine what
they look like after 15 years

with one suit of
clothes, the uniform.

And they had lived more
like animals than human beings,

you can imagine what
their skin looked like,

sores and ulcers,
they were in a bad way.

So they brought them
in and they said to them,

"Look, gentlemen, the war
is over, we're friends now."

But they wouldn't believe
it, they thought this is just

another trick of the allies.

So they questioned them
some more and they found that

one of the fellows
claimed that he had a sister.

Now, of course, he
didn't know and they didn't know

whether she was
still alive, but they got

onto the authorities
in Tokyo and they said,

these two Japanese soldiers

by a certain
name, try to find her."

Well, eventually they
turned her up and they told her

that they had found her brother.

Now she was delighted because
she had thought years ago

the he'd been killed in action.

So when she found out
that he was still alive,

she was very, very happy.

They said, "Look, will you
try to convince your brother

that the war is over,
we can't convince him."

So she got on a telephone
and tried to tell her brother

that the war was over
that we were friends now,

believe her either.

So finally, what they did
is they put them on an airplane

and they flew
them back to Tokyo.

Now as the plane was coming
in and rounding and banking

and coming into
land of the airport.

Of course it was quite low

and they could
look out the window.

And they saw Tokyo in 1960,
they remembered it in 1939.

And you can imagine
the changes that took place

in those years and
they could hardly believe

what they were seeing when
they looked out the window.

Well, the plane pulled up and
of course, all their families

were there to come out and
meet them and to greet them

and there was a
great happy reunion.

And I often thought about that
story because that isn't true

story that actually happened.

And I often thought
about those two fellows

and the regrets that they
must have had in their hearts,

remembering that
they could have been back

in relative comfort in Tokyo.

And here they were for 15
years living like animals.

And I have
thought that it's like

an illustration
of mankind today.

Most people do not know
that peace has been declared

between God and
man through Jesus.

Most people don't know that.

And they
certainly don't know that

God has a special
message in these last days

and this message is to
go to the whole world to--

In fact, to every
person living on the Earth,

so that they can find out
that Jesus is coming again soon.

the center of this book

is a very special message.

And this message

Revelation 14 verse 6,
"Then I saw another angel

flying in the midst of heaven,
having the everlasting gospel

to preach to those who dwell
on the Earth to every nation,

tribe, tongue, and people.
00:05:14.24\00:05:17.52
Saying with a
loud voice, 'Fear God
00:05:17.53\00:05:20.18
and give glory to Him,
for the hour of His judgment
00:05:20.19\00:05:23.52
has come, and worship Him
who made heaven and Earth,

the sea and the
springs of water.'

And another angel followed
saying, 'Babylon is fallen,

hearing these three messages,

now on,' "Yes," says the Spirit,

'that they may
rest from their labors,

and their works follow them.'

Then I looked, and
behold, a white cloud,

people probably have turned away

people have said to me,

"Why is the Book of

Why wasn't it just written
in straight forward language?"

Well, there's a
very good reason that

God wrote the Book of
Revelation in code language

and I'll tell you why?

You will remember
that when the John wrote

the Book of
Revelation, where was he?
00:07:39.65\00:07:42.54
Do you remember?

Yes, he was on a
island of Patmos by invitation
00:07:44.19\00:07:47.63
of the Roman Government.
00:07:47.64\00:07:49.84
Because Patmos was the Alcatraz
00:07:49.85\00:07:53.18
of the ancient world,
nobody got off Patmos.
00:07:53.19\00:07:57.32
The worst criminals
were placed on Patmos,
00:07:57.33\00:08:00.52
the most troublesome.
00:08:00.53\00:08:02.91
That Rome regarded
were exile to Patmos.

And John was
considered to be troublesome

because of his
beliefs, his Christian

understanding and his beliefs.
00:08:12.53\00:08:13.95
And so he was banished
to the island of Patmos.

Now, you know, as well as I
do that when you are a prisoner

and you are on the
inside and you want to get
00:08:20.61\00:08:23.08
something on the outside.

What will happen
to it before it gets

on the outside guaranteed?

Yes, it will be read,
isn't that right? Absolutely.

So John gets the Revelation,
God gives him the Revelation.

He writes it down, but
John's got a major problem.

Because it's addressed to
the seven churches in Asia,

how is he going to get it out
of this maximum security prison

to the people
that it's addressed to?

Major problem.

Because the Book
of Revelation foretold

the demise of the Roman Empire.

So can you imagine that
when the Roman's soldiers

begin to read the
Book of Revelation.

And they read that the Roman
Empire was going to crumble,

what do you think
would have happened
00:09:19.26\00:09:20.27
to John and the
Book of Revelation,
00:09:20.28\00:09:22.25
if they had realized that
00:09:22.26\00:09:23.30
that's what it
was talking about?

It would have been destroyed
00:09:27.03\00:09:28.19
and John would have been killed.
00:09:28.20\00:09:30.93
So God has hidden the
meaning from those who would

do it harm, get the thought.

On the other hand, if you go
down through the Middle Ages,

you'll find that
the Book of Revelation

exposes the false teachings
of the great false church

of the middle ages.

And if that church had realized
that the Book of Revelation

condemns its
religious practices as it does,

instead of preserving the Bible,

they would have
wiped it out too.

So God in His wisdom has
written the Book of Revelation

in this language,
this code language.

But for those who want to
understand, the Bible explains

what the code language means.

But for those who
have no other interest

but to harm Christianity
and the Book of Revelation,

God has hidden it from them.

the Book of Revelation

But as I said, it's very

allowing the Bible

to be its own interpreter.

And here we find
these three messages,

going to the whole
world to every nation,

kindred, tongue, and
people and they're given under

the figure of three angels.

Now why three angels?

Well, I guess when we
understand the situation

or we cast our mind back to
the time when John was writing.

If he was going to
understand a message

that was going to go
completely around the world.

The only thing
that John understood

that could take a
message all around the world

would be an angel.

He never heard of satellites,
he never heard of airplanes.

So the only thing in his
mind that could take a message

to every person living on
the Earth would be angels.

today the Book of Revelation,

three angels, he perhaps talk

or something like that.

when the Book of
Revelation was being written.

figure of three angels

we had three mighty messages
going all around the world

to every nation, and
kindred, and tongue, and people.

And as soon as these three
messages go, because the word

angel simply means
message or messenger.

And as soon as these three
messages go, you'll remember

that we read about the harvest
of the Earth being reaped,

with the Son of Man coming
with the sickle in his hand

ready to reap the
harvest of the Earth.

You know, it's interesting
today when you travel

around the world,
particularly in the east

you will still see
people cutting their lawn

and their crops with a sickle.

You go to
Indonesia, some parts of Asia,

they cut their lawn
with a sickle still.

It's obviously
cheaper than the lawn mower.

And so this language
was very clearly understood

by those that
John was writing to.

Three mighty messages
under the figure of three angels

the harvest of the Earth.

You know, everywhere I go
people tell me that the world

is never going
to come to an end.

Just come over to the Book
of Matthew in the New Testament,

Matthew Chapter 13.

And I'll read you here a
very interesting statement,

Matthew 13 and it's
not surprising that Jesus

interpret Revelation.

Actually the Book of Revelation

and if there's one
book in the entire world

that Christians
ought to understand,

it's the Book of Revelation.

Because you see
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John

are about Jesus, but Revelation,

it's the Revelation of Jesus.

It's Jesus' own
Book and the tragedy is

that most Christians,
even those who go to church

regularly hardly
have any understanding

of the Book of Revelation.

why that is the case.

Because the devil has made sure

the Book of Revelation.

as the books of the Bible

because the whole of the Bible

just before Jesus comes back.

Now, you remember that
when Jesus came to the Earth,

prepare the then known world,

for the coming of the Messiah.

Book of the Old Testament,

that's why he is using this

method of deception.

Now the second message
concerns the fall of Babylon.

Now obviously this is not
the old city of the Babylon,

the Bible said, it
would never be inhabited.

But you see Babylon was
one of the earliest cities

that was ever built.

In fact, you will
remember that after the flood,

God told the people to go out

and fill the
Earth, populate the Earth.

But they said no, we're
going to build the city.

And remember the city that
they built and in the midst

there was a tower
called the Tower of Babel.

They built the
city called Babel.
00:31:42.68\00:31:46.33
And Babel
simply means confusion,

because while they were
building the tower of Babel.

Remember God
confused their language

and so all through the Bible

Babylon is used as
a symbol of confusion.

That which has been built
up in direct opposition to God.

religious city, very religious.

And so in the last days we
find that the same religion

a drunk person, is that right?

befuddles a person's brain.

the symbol that Babylon

drunk on her teaching.

have the spirit of God

the beast and his image,

his forehead or on his hand,

And yet I would go so

on the mark of the beast.

which is telling
people about these issues.

patience of the saints,

the commandments of God
and the faith of Jesus."

You know, it's an
interesting thing that

whenever you find
the mark of the beast

spoken off in the Book
of Revelation in contrast

you always have God's
people who are faithful to Jesus

and faithful to
His commandments.

Because there's something
about those commandments

that if we play
fast and loose with them,

we'll get the mark of the beast.

On the other hand, if
we're faithful to Jesus

We may have changed the country

changed our natures.

spoken in the prophets

but crucified Jesus.

last days and the people say

they accept Jesus, but
they don't accept the message

that Jesus has given
in the book of Revelation.

They turn their
back on him, they say,

they're not interested.

You see that's the
trouble with human nature,

we're always
willing to accept the past,

but when God wants to
work, a work in our days,

a work which you won't believe

even though
someone declares it to us.

And I pray tonight
that God will help us all,

the impure harlot woman,

which represents the apostate
Christendom, the counterfeit.

true and the genuine

counterfeit and the false.

and went to make war with
the rest of her offspring," who?

Who is the church's offspring,
who keep the commandments of God

testimony of Jesus Christ?

Can you how those commandments
are being emphasized again?

No wonder the
devil hates Revelation.

God's people are identified

as those who are

Because the two
things go together,

separate one from the other.

And the tragedy
of Christendom today,

separated those two things.

you'll be antagonistic

Bible knows there
is no such dichotomy.

The Bible says there

But the devil is
happy with that group.

against him in six weeks.

Now I happen to believe
that Wesley had the truth

has always been opposed.

use Christian people.
