That's the blessed
event that we're looking for,

hearts are yearning for,

We were trying to do our

I find myself wondering,
why is it taking so long?

scripture suggests an answer.

I wonder if part of
our problem in Christendom

is we are going out
sharing information,

well intentioned stories,

we are doing our best
at outreach and evangelism,

we are giving
doctrinal communication,

but I am concerned

that we may not be
preaching this gospel.

The reality is that
many individuals are clueless

when it comes to
what exactly this gospel

is that Jesus was referring to.

Author Caesar Kalinowski
in his book The Gospel Primer,

talks about how he
interviewed a group of pastors

and simply asked
them what is the gospel.

And he was amazed

that their
answers had nothing to do

with creation, sin,
Jesus Christ, the cross,

or His coming kingdom.

They share a lot of
positive information,

encouraging information,

a lot of biblical information,

but if preachers of God's Word
are not clear on the gospel,

are not clear on the gospel,

this gospel of the

simply means good news.

You know, good
news is best understood

They have no experience
with disappointment, with loss.

experience with back pain,

They don't even have an
experience with a traffic jam

or seeing someone
suffer the loss of a loved one.

Everything they
experienced was good.

And then Satan
is suggesting that,

this warning that
they were given to refrain

from eating of the
tree of the knowledge

of good and evil.

Satan is
suggesting that that warning

is not to be
believed or received

the truth he says,

is that God knows
that if you eat of it

you'll become come like Him,

Suggesting that evil is
something worth knowing,

suggesting that God is
trying to hide from them

something that they would
desire to have for themselves.

Satan is
suggesting for the first time

that there is something
about God that isn't good.

He's suggesting that God
doesn't have the best interest

that He's trying to scare them

partaking of this fruit.

Suggesting that if
they eat, they will die

them to distrust God.

that they bought it.

that decision to distrust God

they have a new feeling
