important prophetic principle

In other words, the things that
have taken place in the past,

now in our present day society.

that will transpire

taking place in the past,

Most of us here are familiar
with Matthew Chapter 24.

Jesus is responding

to the enquiry of
His disciples concerning,

when will be the
destruction of Jerusalem,

the signs
foreshadowing His second coming

and the end of the world.

And we know that Jesus
makes mention of many things

in verse 70.

He talks about how nation
will rise up against nation,

kingdom against kingdom.

How there will be
famines and pestilences

and earthquakes
in diverse places.

In verse 80 it says "All these
are the beginnings of sorrows."

The Bible says something that
Jesus said very interesting.

It's found in Matthew Chapter 24

and we're going
to look at verse 15.

We're told there,

the abomination of desolation,

spoken of by Daniel the prophet,

the abomination of desolation,

in which Jesus was

what will be the
signs of His coming

destruction of Jerusalem.

He says this in Luke 21:20.

compassed with armies,

desolation thereof is nigh.

Now it's clear that
what we're looking at here

in Luke 21:20 and
also in Matthew 24:15,

they are the
exact same instances.

Both times we see these events

in which Christ
counsels His people

to flee into the mountains.

Do you see
that? It's very clear.

Therefore, whatever this
abomination of desolation is,

it must be directly
associated with these armies

that are going to
compass Jerusalem.

These armies are
evidently the power

that are going to be
responsible for the desolating

or the destruction of Jerusalem.

And when they see these
armies compassing Jerusalem,

then those that are in Judaea
should flee into the mountains.

One thing is clear,

abomination of desolation is,

important prophetic time period

probationary frame of time

the children of Israel

to accomplish a specific work.

here in Daniel Chapter 9

and I'm going to
look at verse 26.

It says, "And after
threescore and two weeks

shall Messiah be cut
off, but not for himself,

and the people of the
prince that shall come

shall destroy the
city and the sanctuary;

and the end thereof
shall be with a flood,

desolations are determined."

Now if you are not
