disobedient for so long,

They have turned their
backs on God for so long

and worshiped idols,
and had fallowed after

all the nations and
had done things that please

them in their eyes
and God have become so

frustrated with
them, that he was tired of

being frustrated.
But, he gave a message to

prophet Jeremiah,
which was recorded in

Chapter 3 and Chapter 4.

They express their desire

You men of Judah and

Lest My fury
come forth like fire,

no one can quench it,

Because of the
Evil of your doings".

You see in these
passage, we see God's message

to the men of
Judah and Jerusalem,

as the message of
warning, a message of

loving invitation,
a message of warning

for impending judgment
that was to come to them

and God does not just
invite them to return,

to return after righteousness,

to return to him, to repent,

but God also, also
gives them a warning that,

if they do not repent,
if the do not return to him.

Something will
fallow. But besides that God

also prescribes how
that return should be.

Lord, we must return,

return there is message of

impending judgment
and then there is also

a prescription as to
how that return should

take place. So to
the people of Judah,

God prescribed these messages.

That leaves me to ask, what is,

what does it mean to
break, Israel's fallowed ground.

You see in the Old Testament,

the Jews were required to
cultivate a piece of land,

their piece of
land for six years,
00:07:08.53\00:07:10.80
but then on the
7th year, they were to
00:07:10.83\00:07:13.09
allow the land to rest.
00:07:13.12\00:07:15.89
So, that it can recuperate
and then have his yield,

a yielding capacity again.

In Exodus
Chapter 23 Verse 10& 11,

we read these words. He says,

"For six years
you're to sow your fills

and harvest the
crops, but during the

seventh year let the
land lie unplowed and unused.

Then the poor
among your people may get

food from it,
and the wild animals

may eat what they leave.

Do the same with your vineyard

and your olive grove.

" So a fallowed
ground is a piece of land

purposely allowed to lie idol,

during a growing
season, a land is allowed

reason is to encourage

this land to have
fertility and have its

nutrients
restored and if properly

conducted these
land, this fallowed land

restores in the
soil, the nutrients

necessary for good productivity.

But sometimes some
things happen due to

some laziness or some
poor management by someone,

a fallowed land lies
wasted, stays longer than

necessary,
because someone forgot,

someone neglected, someone
00:08:50.34\00:08:52.90
did not care to
prepare it for fallow.

Sometimes due to
negligence or lack of care,

this fallow ground
becomes a dumping ground.

Because of lack of
care and negligence or

something, this
piece of land, this fallow

ground, that has
been left unplowed becomes

a place where beast of pray

will hide and cause great harm.

Somehow because of negligence,

this fallow ground grows thorns

and it is because
of this that God warned

that they should
not sow among thorns

because the land has
been left for so long,

uncultivated, unplowed.

It is no wonder
why King Solemn in his

the book proverbs

Chapter 13, Verse 23
and the Bible reads that.

Much food, much food
is in the fallow ground of

the poor and for lack of
justice there are just waste.

familiar with the circumcision

about circumcision of the flesh.

Lesion 2 that I
think we need to learn

animals who hide.

people can dump

special with fallowed ground.

Inside it, there was
rich soil. It had the

propensity to
have richness because

when the rains

So, God says listen,
I can see through this

dirt, but clean
it up. I am willing

to make changes, I

life turned around,

clear those thorns and weeds.

yourself, God says, to receive

blessings of the Lord.
Sow good seeds of God's
