order to do something.

He was anointed so
He could preach the

gospel, so the
captives could be delivered.

The words that I speak unto you

I speak not of
myself, but the Father that

A very pointed
statement, Jesus was saying that

the words He spoke
were not simply His words.

They were the
words of the Father being

spoken through Him.
The works that He did

were not simply His
works, they were the

works of the Father
ministered through Him.

And did that
happen? It happened by him

receiving the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

we see in the life and

minister of Jesus are

to happen in their
life before they could do a

ministry like Jesus was doing.

And we read about that in Acts

And being
assembled together with them,

He commanded them
that they should not

depart from
Jerusalem, but wait for the

promise of the

We find in this scripture
Jesus told the disciples.

the Gospel Commission,

And we read the reason for that

Jesus told them that

through the baptism

of the Holy
Spirit. And when they

anointing that baptism of the

Spirit, they would be
able to go forth in His

name and have the same power for

witnessing that He had
when He walked this earth.

That's why Jesus
could say in John

chapter 14 verse 12, Verily,

verily I say to
you, He that believes on

me, the works that
I do shall he do also,

and greater works
than these shall he do,

because I go my
Father. Jesus very clearly

states here that
the followers of Jesus

Christ are to do the
very same works He did.

How can they do
that, because they would

receive the same
anointing, the same

baptism of the Holy
Spirit that He received.

And that's why He
said in this verse,

Father, as a result of

his death, bury
and resurrection and

glorious that sent
to the Father, the Holy

Spirit was poured out
in the day of Pentecost.

And so the early church and the

believers of all
ages have had available to

them the
Pentecost experience the

baptism of the Holy
Spirit, so they too can

minister as Jesus
did under the anointing

power of the Holy
Spirit. Now that's important

for us to understand,
because those that are

rated me Jesus will
have that experience

of ministering as Jesus did.

followers in Jesus
Christ. In Malachi, chapter 4

verse 5 we read of a prophecy.

Behold, I will send
you Elijah the prophet
00:10:58.24\00:11:00.80
before the coming of
the great and dreadful
00:11:01.32\00:11:02.94
day of the Lord.
This prophecy has
00:11:02.95\00:11:07.03
two applications.
One application applies
00:11:07.04\00:11:10.14
to John the Baptist.
The first application
00:11:10.15\00:11:15.56
applies to the
first coming of Jesus.
00:11:15.57\00:11:18.29
The second application applies
00:11:19.15\00:11:20.64
to the second
coming. We're told here that
00:11:20.65\00:11:23.39
before the first
coming there was to
00:11:23.40\00:11:25.18
come Elijah the
prophet. There was to come an
00:11:25.19\00:11:28.65
individual who was
to give a message of
00:11:28.66\00:11:32.63
Elijah and the Spirit
and power of Elijah in
00:11:32.64\00:11:35.53
preparation for the
first advent of Jesus.
00:11:35.54\00:11:37.66
And we find in Luke
chapter 1 verse 14 to 17.

And you shall
have joy and gladness,

and many shall
rejoice at his birth.

For he shall be
great in the sight of the

Lord, and shall

Holy Ghost, even
from his mother's womb.

we see several things about him.

He was to be used
by God to prepare the

way for the
first Advent of Jesus.

In order to do that,
he needed to be filled

with the Holy
Spirit and in John's case,

he is filled with the
Holy Spirit from birth.

And in order to do
his mission, he had to be

filled with the
spirit so he could give the
00:12:46.02\00:12:48.86
message of Elijah in the
spirit and power of Elijah.

Now this scripture has
a second application it

applies to the second
coming of Jesus as well.

And what the
scripture is telling us

that before Jesus
comes a second time.

There will be
another message of Elijah to

prepare the way for
the second coming of Jesus.

A message of
Elijah in these last days

that's to inform
individuals of the

second coming
and what they need to

experience in order to
be ready for that event.

And when we look at the book of

Revelation we find
that message or those

messages are
actually the Three Angels

Message in
Revelation chapter 14 to prepare

the world for the
second coming of Jesus.

So we've been
given a very significant

mission in this
earth in the last days.

A mission very
similar to John the

Baptist, however in
order for us to fill that

mission we as John
the Baptist must also

be filled with the Holy Spirit.

You see it was
necessary for John to be spirit

filled in order
to have the spirit

and power of Elijah.
And so today for us to

be able to give
the Elijah message,

the Three Angels
Message in the spirit

and power of Elijah,
we must be filled with

So this prophecy in
Malachi is actually a

prophecy indicating
that there will be a

people in the last
days who will choose to

seek God's Spirit to
be infill with His spirit.

So they would be
able to minister under the

power and the direction of the
00:14:23.89\00:14:24.90
Holy Spirit as John
was and also as Jesus

was as we've

but is not therapeutic.

Christians in these last

men and women to accept Jesus.

And so we must come
out of that Laodicean

condition in order to
become the therapeutic people.

The people that bring
life wherever they go.

call today to come out.

The early church
was therapeutic in their

around them just like Jesus

Jesus was. And so before
Jesus returns his people who

about following Him will seek

the same anointing,
the same baptism of the

Holy Spirit Jesus had
and early church received

in the day of
Pentecost and so they'll be

ministering in the
last days as truly the
00:19:24.10\00:19:27.61
remnant of God's people.

Just how is that to take place.

There is a prophecy in
John chapter 7 verse 38

and 39. He that believes
on me, as the scripture hath

said, out of his
belly shall flow rivers of

of living water.
00:19:44.31\00:19:45.28
But this spoke he of
the spirit, which they that

believe on him
should receive for the Holy

Ghost was not yet
given, because Jesus was

not yet glorified.

What we find here in
this scripture is that

that Jesus is giving a prophecy.

He said that out of his
people would flow rivers

of living water.

And how would this take place?

scripture the interpretation of

Jesus words tell us
that it would happen when

the Holy Spirit was poured out.

And so that began to
take place on the day

of Pentecost.

And what the scripture
is actually alluding to

is the scripture in
the Book of Ezekiel,

where Ezekiel in

the temple of God and a
river of healing flowing

out of that temple
and that river begins very

small as a little
triple stream to the ankles and

then it grows and gets
wider and deeper to the,
00:20:44.74\00:20:47.44
to the knees and then
to the waist becomes a
00:20:47.45\00:20:50.07
great river that
cannot be passed over.

And we're told in that
chapter of Ezekiel that

everywhere the
water comes it brings
00:20:55.55\00:20:58.29
life and healing.
00:20:58.30\00:20:59.27
Well we know in the
New Testament the church

is the temple of God.
00:21:02.45\00:21:04.26
And that is a
prophecy of which Jesus was

referring to as the
fulfillment of when He
00:21:07.87\00:21:11.07
said, out of those who
believe in Him would flow
00:21:11.08\00:21:13.95
the river of life if
you will, living water is
00:21:13.96\00:21:17.74
coming out to bring
life and healing to those
00:21:17.75\00:21:21.53
that come and contact with it.

That is in part
certainly the Gospel Commission

that Jesus has given to us.

In Revelation chapter
18 and verse 1 we'll read a

prophecy what's to
happen in these last days.

heaven, having great power,

and the earth was
lighted with his glory.

What we find in this
scripture is a prophecy

saying that before the
Jesus comes, the earth would be

lighted with the glory of God.

Is that talking
about some bright light?

No. That's talking
about the character of Jesus

being reflected
through his people in a very

powerful way.

Jesus revealed the
glory of a father we're

told in the Gospel of John.

He revealed the
glory of the Father through

his teaching, preaching,
healing, delivering men

and women from the
oppressions of the enemy,

the full gospel message.

And so in the last
days God's Remnant people

who are spirit

Three Angels
Message under the spirit and

power of Elijah, who
are doing the same ministry

it's Jesus living in them,

ministering
through them as He did

when He walked this earth.

And the character of Christ will

be perfectly reproduced
in His people and that

will be perfectly reflected

Now we're given a
serious warning by Paul

in Second Timothy

Paul tells us, This
know also, that in the last

days perilous times
shall come. This is not

necessary referring to
perilous times physically

to our physical well
being, though there are

sometimes dangerous
times. He is talking
00:23:11.68\00:23:13.68
about perilous times to
us spiritually. And then
00:23:13.69\00:23:16.38
it gets the whole
list of characteristics of

those living in the last
days. And in reality that
00:23:18.08\00:23:20.47
list actually
describes professed Christians.

Because the last thing
on the list we read is in

verse 5 of that chapter.

Having a form of
godliness, but denying

the power thereof
from such turn away.

We see here that Paul
was telling us that one

of the characteristics
of the majority of

Christians in the
last days will be,

they'll have the
form of godliness,

they'll go through the forms,

but they will not have
the power and they'll be

be denying the power.

And I guarantee you
that Satan will try to

discourage you from
experiencing the full

full power of Jesus in
your life to be free from

all the oppressions
of Satan in your life,

because He does not

the Evangelism that
will be taking place

And I can tell you,
there was a time when I

doubted the, the
power of the gospel.

I was a, I'm a
Pastor and I've been telling

everybody that, but I
would pray with people

and I didn't see
anything much change.

And I remember the
first individual that

we prayed for,

the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

This young man was a
fairly new Christian.

But he had a severe
struggle with depression.

He was clinically
depressed and he tried
00:24:54.35\00:24:56.62
to commit suicide on
at least two occasions.

Because as we share
these things about the

baptism of Holy
Spirit and the freedom you
00:25:01.10\00:25:02.60
can have in Jesus.

That young man became
free from the depression

and he understood the
weapons of his warfare

and he could be free.

Also when I was,

been in an Adventist Church.

She had been
sexually molested as a child.

Her mother blamed her for it,

because it was the
stepfather who did it.

She got into drugs and alcohol,

and two weeks
before coming to the

Adventist Church she
tried to commit suicide

through an overdose.

She got hope when
she heard the message of

Jesus that He could free her.

And through prayer and
leading her to understand

the freedom she could
have in Jesus, she became free.

And she wrote in a
thank you card and I just
