" 00:05:04.21\00:05:07.32 So worshiping God was one of the issues. 00:05:07.79\00:05:10.29 And Pharaoh as you know hardened his heart, did not harken 00:05:11.34\00:05:16.56 into the voice of God, continued to oppress the people of God 00:05:16.59\00:05:21.78 until finally, God had to deliver his people, then we know 00:05:22.80\00:05:29.20 of course how God inflicted Egypt with ten plagues. 00:05:29.23\00:05:35.76 The last one of course being the one that did it. 00:05:36.50\00:05:40.91 When Pharaoh lost his first-born when it struck very 00:05:41.60\00:05:46.50 close home to Pharaoh, when he lost his first-born, when all 00:05:46.53\00:05:51.40 the first-borns of Egypt died. 00:05:51.43\00:05:54.41 Finally Pharaoh allowed the people of God to go. 00:05:54.45\00:05:57.53 And then after they left, 00:05:58.73\00:06:00.39 Pharaoh said "but wait a minute, why did I let them go? 00:06:01.26\00:06:04.72 Perhaps we can go and catch up with them and bring them back 00:06:05.40\00:06:10.44 into slavery, why should I let them go?" 00:06:10.47\00:06:12.80 That was the time, my friends, when Pharaoh caught up with them 00:06:13.23\00:06:16.51 at the Red Sea. 00:06:16.54\00:06:17.51 That God performed a marvelous miracle. 00:06:17.88\00:06:21.76 When he opened the waters of the Red Sea 00:06:22.42\00:06:25.36 and allowed his people, Israel, to walk on dry land to safety. 00:06:26.23\00:06:33.66 On the other side of the Red Sea the people begun the journey 00:06:34.99\00:06:40.84 towards the wilderness of Shur. 00:06:40.87\00:06:43.97 My friends, it is one of the most fascinating stories 00:06:44.15\00:06:49.51 in the entire Bible. 00:06:50.43\00:06:51.73 How God brought them out of slavery, opening the waters 00:06:52.40\00:06:55.80 of the Red Sea. 00:06:55.83\00:06:56.80 And they begun their journey across the wilderness 00:06:56.81\00:07:01.41 and we are told my friends, they went through the wilderness 00:07:02.14\00:07:05.81 of Shur. 00:07:05.84\00:07:07.10 This is the desert region, according to Bible commentators 00:07:07.26\00:07:12.35 reaching from the Eastern border of Egypt, to the Southern border 00:07:12.57\00:07:18.66 of Palestine and touching in the South the mountains of the 00:07:18.69\00:07:24.00 Sinai peninsula. 00:07:24.03\00:07:26.17 In Numbers chapter 33 and verse 8 this desert region is called 00:07:26.63\00:07:32.92 the wilderness of Etham. 00:07:32.95\00:07:34.90 It was through the Southern part of this desert that Israel 00:07:35.17\00:07:41.78 marched in the South-Westerly direction along the shores of 00:07:42.30\00:07:47.08 the Red Sea. 00:07:47.11\00:07:48.33 They journeyed three days and found no water, 00:07:48.90\00:07:51.95 interestingly they begun to murmur. 00:07:52.63\00:07:55.76 Now, the Israelites must have carried a supply of water with 00:07:56.22\00:08:01.36 them, coming out of Egypt, for they knew that they were going 00:08:01.39\00:08:06.50 into the wilderness. 00:08:06.53\00:08:07.52 But understandably they've been going for three days. 00:08:08.35\00:08:11.04 And by now their supplies are either run out and they are 00:08:11.94\00:08:19.80 thirsty, and they begin to complain. 00:08:19.83\00:08:22.67 Now it's interesting that just three days ago God performed 00:08:22.71\00:08:26.76 a marvelous miracle, to open the Red Sea so that they could walk 00:08:26.80\00:08:30.80 to safety. 00:08:30.83\00:08:31.80 But, yet they are complaining for water because they have not 00:08:32.50\00:08:35.60 seen water in three days. 00:08:35.63\00:08:36.91 How short, my friends, our memory can be when it comes to 00:08:37.60\00:08:42.15 the goodness of God. 00:08:42.18\00:08:43.79 'Cause Israel the people of God, they were like that in 00:08:43.83\00:08:46.90 the wilderness. 00:08:46.93\00:08:47.90 But then they came to a place called Mara 00:08:48.78\00:08:50.73 and they discovered that there was water at Mara 00:08:51.75\00:08:54.36 But to their dismay, the water was bitter, and they could not 00:08:54.40\00:09:00.47 drink the water at Mara. 00:09:00.50\00:09:02.72 After they murmured and complained, God told Moses "cut 00:09:04.10\00:09:09.32 down a tree and cast it in the water which when Moses did, the 00:09:09.36\00:09:14.77 water became sweet. 00:09:14.80\00:09:16.09 Now it is very interesting because there is no evidence, 00:09:17.51\00:09:23.40 my friends, 00:09:23.43\00:09:24.40 that this tree that had the ability to turn water sweet 00:09:24.78\00:09:29.63 exists anyway in the region. 00:09:29.66\00:09:32.12 On the discussion, the bitter waters of Mara have been 00:09:32.50\00:09:36.80 identified as the El Huraro, the first oasis South of 00:09:36.83\00:09:41.10 the Sins. 00:09:41.13\00:09:42.37 It lies on the ancient road to Sineai, the ancient road to the 00:09:42.41\00:09:47.76 Sinai copper mines about 47 miles from the town of Sin. 00:09:47.79\00:09:53.37 When the Israel have got there so the water was bitter 00:09:54.20\00:09:56.76 they murmured and complained as I have just said and God made 00:09:56.80\00:10:01.33 the water sweet, but, my friends what is interesting is that 00:10:01.36\00:10:06.43 the people who lived in the area the people who live in that 00:10:06.46\00:10:13.80 neighborhood known as the Bedouins or bedowins, they know 00:10:13.84\00:10:21.43 of no means of making these waters in that area drinkable. 00:10:21.47\00:10:29.03 But yet we were told that it happened. 00:10:29.49\00:10:32.18 Now how is that possible? What can we think of? 00:10:33.59\00:10:36.66 Well it is either God caused Moses or directed Moses to use 00:10:36.93\00:10:44.39 a tree that no longer exists in the area, or perhaps it was 00:10:44.42\00:10:52.25 a direct intervention of God, a miracle of God to turn 00:10:52.28\00:10:58.25 the bitter water into sweet, drinkable water. 00:10:58.28\00:11:03.84 I personally believe that it was the latter. 00:11:04.90\00:11:06.90 I believe God performed yet another miracle in turning 00:11:07.38\00:11:11.52 the bitter waters of the El Huara and making it drinkable. 00:11:11.56\00:11:18.24 Once again God proved that He is able, He has a capability. 00:11:19.69\00:11:25.22 He is able to provide for His people, to supply their needs 00:11:25.74\00:11:31.12 even when they lacked their faith to thrust Him implicitly. 00:11:31.16\00:11:36.51 Even when we lack the faith to thrust God implicitly, God can 00:11:37.60\00:11:41.02 still supply our needs. 00:11:41.05\00:11:42.49 When Israel left Mara, they journeyed towards the wilderness 00:11:44.10\00:11:50.23 of Sin, 00:11:50.26\00:11:51.23 Situated between Elam and Sineai. 00:11:52.29\00:11:55.52 Once they got there they begun to murmur about food. 00:11:56.60\00:11:59.99 They murmured, my friends, because they remembered sitting 00:12:00.70\00:12:05.34 by the flesh ports of Egypt, and eating bread to the full. 00:12:05.37\00:12:09.58 And they begun to accuse Moses and Aaron, of bringing 00:12:10.40\00:12:15.45 them out of Egypt into the wilderness to kill the whole 00:12:15.48\00:12:20.50 assembly. 00:12:20.53\00:12:21.50 It was then, that the Lord promised to give them food, to 00:12:22.41\00:12:26.55 give them flesh in the evening and bread in the morning. 00:12:26.58\00:12:30.69 In Exodus 16: 13 and 15 00:12:32.15\00:12:34.83 It came to pass, that at evening quails came up and covered 00:12:36.25\00:12:43.20 the camp, and in the morning, the dew laid round about 00:12:43.23\00:12:47.50 the home. 00:12:47.53\00:12:48.50 And when the dew that laid was gone up, behold upon the face 00:12:48.74\00:12:54.98 of the wilderness, there laid a small round thing as small as 00:12:55.02\00:13:01.23 the hoarfrost on the ground. 00:13:01.26\00:13:03.48 And when the children of Israel saw it they said to one another 00:13:04.29\00:13:09.07 it is manna. 00:13:09.10\00:13:10.26 For they did not know what it was and Moses said unto them: 00:13:10.63\00:13:16.88 "This is the bread that the Lord had given you to eat" 00:13:16.91\00:13:22.18 Now what is this manna? Moses compares this manna to coriander 00:13:23.16\00:13:27.41 seed, an herb, Coreandrum Sativum which grows wild in the 00:13:28.60\00:13:34.07 near east. 00:13:34.10\00:13:35.07 It produces a round aromatic fruit that is white or 00:13:35.08\00:13:40.93 yellow-grey used for seasoning and medical purposes. 00:13:40.96\00:13:44.77 In Exodus 16: 31, Moses refers to the manna as coriander seeds. 00:13:45.25\00:13:54.20 That is white, and the taste of it was like wafers made with 00:13:57.11\00:14:02.81 honey. 00:14:02.84\00:14:03.81 And so God provided them this manna - they were to gather this 00:14:03.99\00:14:08.00 manna dearly, every manna caught in to eating ability an omer 00:14:08.29\00:14:12.21 for each member of his household. 00:14:12.24\00:14:14.76 The omer is the equivalent of 2 dry quarts. 00:14:15.10\00:14:19.00 And they gathered enough for the day that every person 00:14:20.77\00:14:24.75 enjoyed an ample supply. 00:14:24.78\00:14:27.37 God gave Moses specific directives that none of it was 00:14:27.90\00:14:31.46 to be left over, for the next day. 00:14:31.49\00:14:33.88 Some people disregarded God's directive and kept some of the 00:14:34.30\00:14:40.39 left-overs for the next day. 00:14:40.42\00:14:41.93 But it bred worms and stank. 00:14:42.38\00:14:44.77 And Moses was wroth with them. 00:14:45.01\00:14:47.23 Then, my friends, the Bible says they gathered mana every morning 00:14:48.20\00:14:53.72 and every morning God provided a fresh supply and it came 00:14:54.52\00:14:59.54 to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much 00:14:59.57\00:15:04.56 bread, two omers for a man and all the rulers of the 00:15:04.59\00:15:10.00 congregation came and told Moses. 00:15:10.03\00:15:11.96 And Moses said unto them: "This is that what the Lord have 00:15:12.70\00:15:17.37 said: Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord. 00:15:17.41\00:15:23.25 Bake that which you will bake today and sift what you'll sift 00:15:23.59\00:15:28.06 today. 00:15:28.09\00:15:29.20 And that which remaineth overly up for you to be kept until 00:15:29.35\00:15:34.72 the morning. 00:15:34.75\00:15:35.72 And they laid it up until the morning as Moses said and it 00:15:36.00\00:15:40.38 did not stink, neither was there any worm there in. 00:15:40.41\00:15:44.80 Why? Because God now told them to do it. 00:15:44.83\00:15:50.15 On the sixth day collecting up for two days and God would 00:15:50.65\00:15:54.26 preserve it and He did. 00:15:54.29\00:15:55.99 And so we come to Exodus chapter 16 verse 26 to verse 30. 00:15:56.60\00:16:04.36 God was doing something very special. 00:16:04.39\00:16:06.41 Yes, my friends, so God was doing something special as he 00:16:57.21\00:17:02.72 provided food for them in the wilderness, He took the 00:17:02.76\00:17:08.24 opportunity to restore the Sabbath that had been suppressed 00:17:08.27\00:17:16.80 in Egypt. 00:17:16.83\00:17:17.87 So this is a point, or the first point in the history 00:17:18.20\00:17:22.97 of salvation, 00:17:23.00\00:17:24.97 when God emphatically restored the Sabbath. 00:17:25.62\00:17:30.08 He taught them all over how to observe the Sabbath even as He 00:17:31.10\00:17:36.94 fed them miraculously in the wilderness. 00:17:36.97\00:17:40.14 You see there were many people born in Egypt, generation of 00:17:40.87\00:17:47.82 Jews born in Egypt in oppression who never had the freedom to 00:17:47.85\00:17:54.77 worship God in the holy Sabbath day the way they are to. 00:17:54.80\00:17:59.25 And so God restored the Sabbath. 00:17:59.84\00:18:01.78 In Exodus chapter 20 verse 8 to 11, when God gave Moses 00:18:01.81\00:18:06.11 the Ten Commandments, the Sabbath was included there 00:18:06.15\00:18:10.44 embedded right in the heart of the Commandments. 00:18:10.48\00:18:13.15 So God restored the Sabbath, right there after Israel came 00:18:51.21\00:18:59.50 out of Egyptian slavery. 00:18:59.89\00:19:01.72 But then again, my friends, that would not be the last time, 00:19:02.39\00:19:05.51 God would again restore the Sabbath after the Babylonian 00:19:05.54\00:19:09.36 captivity. 00:19:09.39\00:19:10.36 The people of Israel went into Babylonian captivity, and God, 00:19:10.55\00:19:16.21 when he brought them out, had to restore the Sabbath again 00:19:16.25\00:19:21.88 and that would be the second time that God had to restore 00:19:21.91\00:19:25.79 the Sabbath. 00:19:25.82\00:19:26.92 And we will find this one in Isaiah chapter 58 and verse 13. 00:19:27.23\00:19:35.99 The Bible says: 00:19:36.46\00:19:37.51 This is at the end of the Babylonian captivity. 00:20:01.24\00:20:05.95 God told them, when you come out of the Babylonian captivity 00:20:06.43\00:20:09.85 and you come to rebuild the temple and reestablish yourself 00:20:09.89\00:20:13.28 as my people you have to honor the Sabbath and keep it holy. 00:20:13.31\00:20:17.24 As a matter of fact they went into captivity because of 00:20:17.28\00:20:20.63 disregarding the Sabbath. 00:20:20.66\00:20:21.63 And all the various things that they did on the Sabbath like 00:20:21.64\00:20:25.38 bringing in their heavy burdens and so on, animals and 00:20:25.41\00:20:29.55 provisions for trade when they came to worship at the temple. 00:20:29.58\00:20:33.25 And now they were coming out of Babylonian captivity, God, 00:20:33.73\00:20:39.22 reinstituted the Sabbath because in Babylon, my friends, they 00:20:39.25\00:20:44.71 did not have the freedom again to worship God. 00:20:44.74\00:20:48.88 You would recall of course they were faithful ones, like Daniel 00:20:49.39\00:20:53.00 and the three Hebrew boys as well faithful to God, but they 00:20:53.04\00:20:56.62 didn't have the freedom. 00:20:56.65\00:20:57.62 So the Sabbath was suppressed in Babylon, and at the end of 00:20:57.63\00:21:03.77 Babylonian captivity God brought it back. 00:21:03.80\00:21:05.96 And when He brought it back, He brought it back with a great 00:21:06.00\00:21:08.91 promise in Isaiah 58: 14. 00:21:08.94\00:21:11.73 There's a promise even to Israel here, still given to us today. 00:21:11.89\00:21:17.00 My friends this is God's promise at the end of the Babylonian 00:21:34.04\00:21:38.04 captivity, for those who would keep His Sabbath be holy. 00:21:38.07\00:21:41.45 But still this is not all, there is still a third time when God 00:21:43.00\00:21:48.55 has had to restore the Sabbath in the life of His people. 00:21:48.58\00:21:55.45 My friends, he restored it after slavery in Egypt, he restored 00:21:55.84\00:22:01.42 it after Babylonian captivity and now, in the end of time, God 00:22:01.46\00:22:07.41 is restoring the Sabbath in the global proclamation of the 00:22:07.44\00:22:13.36 Gospel, God is restoring the Sabbath. 00:22:13.39\00:22:16.38 In Egypt, Sabbath was suppressed because of slavery, in Babylon 00:22:17.04\00:22:22.19 God's people went into captivity and lost the freedom to worship 00:22:22.22\00:22:27.34 God and enjoy the Sabbath, when they came out of Egypt, God 00:22:27.37\00:22:30.85 restored it, when they came out of Babylon, God restored it, 00:22:30.89\00:22:34.34 Right now God is restoring it again at the end of time. 00:22:34.37\00:22:37.31 Why? 00:22:37.85\00:22:38.82 Because, my friends, there was a time when the Sabbath was again 00:22:39.16\00:22:46.12 lost, or suppressed, or God's people would be prived of the 00:22:46.15\00:22:51.80 Sabbath. 00:22:51.83\00:22:52.90 That is, doing the time that is known as the Dark Ages. 00:22:53.12\00:22:59.21 The Medieval period there when Christians were persecuted, and 00:22:59.78\00:23:04.56 murdered for their faith and oppressed and the worship of the 00:23:04.59\00:23:09.46 true God was suppressed, the Sabbath was then lost, because 00:23:09.49\00:23:14.29 even in the reformation that came after, the great reformers 00:23:14.33\00:23:19.22 did a great work, fantastic work but, my friends, they did not go 00:23:19.25\00:23:24.11 all the way. 00:23:24.14\00:23:25.11 But God has a people who have discovered God's mandate 00:23:25.12\00:23:30.36 to restore the Sabbath in the global proclamation of 00:23:30.40\00:23:34.60 the Gospel. 00:23:34.63\00:23:35.60 Revelation chapter 14 verse 6. 00:23:35.61\00:23:38.93 And the Bible says and John says: 00:23:38.96\00:23:41.99 So the everlasting Gospel is being preached but look 00:23:56.51\00:23:59.78 at verse 7. 00:23:59.81\00:24:00.78 My friends, this verse there in Revelation 14:7 reverts right 00:24:18.58\00:24:23.80 back to the Sabbath commandment 00:24:23.83\00:24:25.98 My friends, it was told you are listening to a quote of the 00:24:26.30\00:24:30.66 Sabbath commandment. 00:24:30.69\00:24:31.66 Fear God and give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment 00:24:32.61\00:24:36.91 is come and worship Him who made heaven and the earth the sea and 00:24:36.95\00:24:41.69 and the fountains of waters. 00:24:41.72\00:24:43.21 The Sabbath, my friends, reminds us that God is the Creator 00:24:43.25\00:24:49.24 And when we worship God on the Sabbath we honor him as Creator, 00:24:49.75\00:24:54.69 and the Devil, my friends, would like to do away with the 00:24:55.05\00:24:58.50 Sabbath. 00:24:58.53\00:24:59.50 So during the medieval period, during that ages, the Sabbath 00:24:59.51\00:25:02.95 was taken away. 00:25:02.98\00:25:03.96 But now, in the end of time, in the global proclamation of the 00:25:04.04\00:25:09.29 Everlasting Gospel, the Sabbath is being restored, my friends. 00:25:09.32\00:25:14.54 And we know that, because it is evident in Revelation 14:7 00:25:14.79\00:25:24.53 But also, in Revelation 14:12, Jesus is coming for those who 00:25:25.02\00:25:33.98 have the faith of Jesus and keep the commandments. 00:25:34.01\00:25:36.45 This is how it reads: 00:25:36.63\00:25:37.90 So, my friends, Jesus is coming for the people, 00:25:46.89\00:25:50.46 not the people who are trying to be saved by works, 00:25:50.50\00:25:54.01 there's no salvation by works, there's no salvation by Law, 00:25:54.04\00:25:57.82 but the people who are saved by grace and a faith that works 00:25:57.85\00:26:03.68 they have the faith of Jesus and they keep the commandments 00:26:03.71\00:26:07.32 of God. 00:26:07.35\00:26:08.32 And God wants you, my friends, to be among his last day people 00:26:08.33\00:26:13.72 who by God's grace are restoring the Sabbath, in the end of time. 00:26:14.12\00:26:19.42 We are going to meet the Sabbath in heaven, but we must learn 00:26:19.96\00:26:22.92 to enjoy it here. 00:26:22.95\00:26:24.32 Isaiah 66 verse 22, the Bible tells us that we will find the 00:26:24.36\00:26:29.68 Sabbath in heaven. 00:26:29.71\00:26:30.68 So the Sabbath will be in Heaven my friends, that goes to show 00:26:50.30\00:26:54.64 that when God instituted the Sabbath at Creation, it was His 00:26:54.67\00:26:58.86 intention that the Sabbath, my friends, would last for time 00:26:58.90\00:27:03.06 and for eternity. 00:27:03.09\00:27:04.56 And so, my friends, I invite you in giving your life to Jesus 00:27:05.17\00:27:09.98 Christ, to embrace all of his truth, and allow Him to restore 00:27:10.01\00:27:14.79 his holy Sabbath, in your experience. 00:27:14.82\00:27:18.25 Be one of those who is thunder for Jesus Christ, in the end of 00:27:18.55\00:27:22.00 time as the Sabbath is being restored, in the global 00:27:22.03\00:27:26.92 proclamation of the Everlasting Gospel. 00:27:26.95\00:27:31.46 I pray, that you will come to know Jesus in such a way, 00:27:31.87\00:27:34.94 that the joy of Sabbath worship and fellowship will become 00:27:35.57\00:27:39.92 special to you, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ 00:27:39.95\00:27:44.27 May God richly Bless you as you continue to live your life 00:27:44.43\00:27:48.95 for Him, and to do as He says in His Word. 00:27:48.98\00:27:53.09
