the name of Derek Redmond.

Derek Redmond was a young man

that everybody
was looking at to,

to win the race
the 400 meter race

that he was running.

Derek had spent about
00:00:57.86\00:00:59.05
four years
training for this race

and he was ready
to win the gold medal

on the 400 meter run.

Derek that day, that
he had been waiting for

had gone ready on the track,

he was there getting
ready to run that race,

to win that
race and to take home

that gold medal.

He was crouched
down on the track,

getting ready waiting
for that gunshot to sound

so that he could
take off down that track

to win that gold medal.

As Derek waited he
heard the gunshot sound

he got up and he began
to run with all the energy

that he had within him.

As he turned the final corner

to go down that homestretch

all the power that he had

and all the sudden

pain in the back of his leg

to finish the race.

Well, Derek as he was
laying there on that track

he tried to get up to make
that end to finish that race

and he could not do it.

There was a man
that ran out of the crowd

this man was Derek's father.

that we are running a race.

training to run that race,

when he was training

he had some weights to
help build up his muscles

but when it came to
that time of the race,

when he was getting ready
to run to win that gold medal

laid a side every weight

the best sneakers,

he had on the best

the lightest pair of
shorts, the lightest top

he wanted to be the
lightest he possibly could

so he can run the fastest.

And friends, God is
asking us in this race

that we are running
to lay aside the weights

the Bible says this,

"And the dragon was
wroth with the woman,

which keep the
commandments of God,

that the dragon or Satan

before Jesus comes back.

Friends, why is Satan wroth
with God's and time church?

wroth with God's people?

The reason why he is
angry with God's church is

He wants to give to His church.

called eternal life

and begins to enjoy

that an individual puts on

on this armor of God.

to get ready for a battle

time to put on the armor of God.

aspect of the armor of God

parts of the armor of God

called the shield of faith.
